A big thanks for all the great advice. I don't really go out often and my only social exposure is to the college and back to my apartment. I'll try to increase that and incorporate all the tips you gave, they sound really helpful.

The actual approach. Once I know them and get a little comfortable then it gets easier there but I get anxious while approaching them. Also this is my first time doing this and approaching women in general.

Yeaa I understand the temptations part. It is really hard to stay committed in a LDR when there are options all around you. But for me it's worth the wait, since my girlfriend is loyal and is willing to wait for me. Although I agree it's very tempting to part ways and get down with someone local but I don't see the merit in it as I'm not really looking for flings and fwbs and waiting 2 months to have sex is not that big of a deal for me.

yeaa I can feel the attachment part. also, we are both med students and in different cities do this ldr is going to continue for a lot longer than for most people. so anything to deal with that?

For your particular case, just gaslight the girl. Make her leave her boyfriend. Or do it the other way around and make her boyfriend jealous of you. Alternatively, you can make her cheat with you and then purposely get caught by her boyfriend. This way the only outcome is that they break up and you get the girl.
