You can't fake it. You are either a dominant person in the relationship, which carries over into the bedroom.... or you're not.

If you want a top 1% kind of woman, you need to be 0.1% kind of man... Do that, then think about where you expect to find the type of girl you are looking for. Volunteering? Church? Gym? In another country? etc

For #1-the answer is always the same. More weight on the bar and more food on your plate. There are a thousand different systems and coaches and recommendations but if you get stronger on the big compound movements and eat at a caloric surplus, you gain muscle. I don't like drinking. I don't like bars. I don't like nightclubs. So I don't do things I don't like to do. I got good at night game but the quality of girls you meet at those places just isn't for me.

I feel you-some days, it's not even fun. But true happiness doesn't come from external sources. I found real contentment and purpose with my life when I began putting all of my effort into a project that is bigger than myself---I truly believe that I am doing something extremely important for future generations, and it is something that very few people are capable of. That's what gets me out of bed in the morning. You gotta find that thing for you. (re)Read Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Fra…

Start with meditation. 10 minutes in the morning, 10 minutes at night. Read Deep Work by Cal Newport. Also read the article about reinventing yourself from James Altucher. If your logistics suck, then fix it. A big chance, like moving, could be great for you.

ask the questions you can't find online. And as for mentor, don't ever ask for a mentor. Read up on what Robery Greene and Ryan Holiday say about getting mentors. You're doing it wrong.

I think you're asking the wrong question. It isn't about being"red-pilled." It's about living a fulfilling life. There is no formula, this isn't a religion. It's just a community to help you understand the world around you. Edit: red pill isn't dogma. People within the community disagree on many things. About the only thing everybody agrees on is there are some aspects of modern feminism which are not in anybody's best interest, that taking ownership of your life is imperative for your own happi…

Strangers on the internet can't tell you what to do with your life. Read letters from a self-made merchant to his son. You can find a pdf online. Truer words have never been said about college. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would have gone somewhere where it was more about the people I surrounded myself with rather than the name brand value. Because a degree is just a fancy piece of paper in today's world. Your economics degree will never be able to keep up with the quant trader…

It's a high school party, so there is a 99% chance it will be awkward. My recommendations: wear shoes good for running and park far enough away that you can make a quick escape if the police bust it. Be social. talk with a lot of people. If a girl is interested, try to get her isolated Just enjoy yourself. Don't make it a high stakes event.

This is common.... and the best solution is find new girls to fuck. It works like magic, I promise. The way to get over a girl is to fuck an even better girl... it's a form of abundance mentality.

Have had some problems with nightmares myself. What helped me was a good therapist, stoicism, meditation, coming to peace with the situation, and leaving that environment. Was about a 4 month process for me--therapy and meditation were the two biggest factors for me.

Not trying to troll here, but did you read what you just wrote? If your personality is anything like what you just described, there is a reason you aren't finding a better social circle-you sound like an unbearable prick who thinks your shit doesn't stink. yes, it would be great if you started lifting, reading, meditating, gaming, and all that other great stuff. But, if your goal is lose weight---you gotta have that caloric deficit. That's the only answer. I wouldn't worry about lifting right now. If you can stick to a caloric deficit for an entire month, then stack another habit on top of it--like barbell lifting.
/r/askTRP14/07/16 05:32 PM

Losing weight is all about being at a caloric deficit. Download Myfitnesspal, select weight loss as your goal, and follow its recomendations to a T. It's all about counting those calories to lose weight. The only way to lose weight is having less calories than you need. The only way to gain weight is having more calories than you need. That's the only thing that matters for losing weight.

Find the overlap of what you like and what you're good at. The career becomes fulfilling when you become world class at it, and when you are world class you can create your own rules. I wouldn't consider what's app social media. With Instagram, only use it if you can get a ton of followers. If not, it's not worth it. Snapchat is tricky. I consider it just another form of texting, but story can be useful. People have survived millions of years without social media. If you don't feel it is a good use of your time, don't do it. At your age, you will get 10x the results from lifting, developing a hobby, and practicing your in person skills.

Social Media-not worth it unless you're in the top 1%. Since you are here and asking, you are not in the 1%. One exception: LinkedIn. Everybody needs a LinkedIn these days. Girls you meet in person will be way way way better quality than girls you could get online. I formed a meditation habit for myself in the past couple of months. In the beginning, because it wasn't yet habit, I would do whatever it took to get a session in. So, more times than not, I did it laying down in bed-first thing in the morning and last thing at night. not significant. I think the stabilizer argument is more about machine vs free weight. In time, you'll find the lifts that work best with your body. Because of my build, my athletic history, and previous injuries from sports, I have to place my focus on modified exercises to keep myself healthy. I front squat instead of back squat. Easier on my back, shoulders, helps me build a big back, and has better carryover to my deadlift. I use dumbbells for bench because barbell just doesn't work well with my shoulder. I overhead press with a false grip. Helps a lot for me. Hitting my chest…

Most people seriously neglect their back. They think a couple of chin-ups are all they need. A good dosage of rows is gonna give you a wide back real quick-is going to help your squat, is going to help your deadlift, is going to help your bench, and is going to make you look very good. If done correctly, will also help keep your shoulder healthy. Within reason, you'll never have to worry about too much rowing. One can only bench or press so much before shoulder problems set in.

Lot of things going on here. red pill is unpopular because it is anti-PC/anti-feminist. It's a big community that anybody can post in. You have a lot of angry people of the internet who are just looking for a platform to rant on. Their views don't always reflect the core principles of TRP. Red Pill isn't a set of six rules. It is a set of principles that isn't step by step directions. So it can be a little formless.

I'm not a big fan of the monk mode mindset because 'monk' brings to mind solitude and isolation. Strength is the easiest way to get swole, until you reach more advanced levels. So yes, stick with full body workouts until you are benching 1.25x your body weight and deadlifting double your body weight. You'll pack on a lot of muscle. Yes. Beginner-which just means you are capable of adding a whole lot of strength really quick. Should be setting new personal records every time you lift. Defiantly in your best long term interest to stick with a progressive overload plan for a while-Stronglifts, grayskull, starting strength, or ice cream fitness are the popular ones. They are all pretty much the same. Just keep getting stronger.
/r/askTRP11/05/16 09:05 PM

I have two suggestions for you, depending on your strength levels. If you are beginner strength levels (less than double bodyweight deadlift, less than 1.25 bodyweight bench) then pick a total body program like stronglifts to do on MWF, and then do a strongman day on Saturday. If you are intermediate levels, looking for a hypertrophy program, I recommedn HST or 5/3/1 Boring but Big. Just google them. If you're natural, keep majority of your reps in the 5-10 range.

so I train an athlete who is an elite high school player-signed to a top 5 school, kid is gonna be on ESPN someday. He can box squat 405, and deadlift a little over 500. I need to get him as strong as possible, without hurting him, and it wakes him more than 48 hours to recover from a good lower body session. So he does lower body twice a week, which allows him to continue using the exercises that allow for him to get as strong as possible-squats and deads.

Which doesn't necessarily make sense because sports that require body movement can be far more stressful on your body than other activities that would induce muscle growth. I have my doubts about that. If you're asking for help on exercise form, you probably don't have a double body weight deadlift. But for the sake of your question, you should stick with the basic split of hitting each body part 3x a week until it becomes too much to recover from. Then hit each body part 2x a week for a couple years until that is too much to recover from. Then, if you get real advanced, hit each body part 1x per week. Pick a workout program that tells you which exercises to do, then simply google the name of the exercise. So if your program says you need to do Barbell Rows, a google search will give you some good videos on nailing the technique. Stronglifts 5x5, a very popular recommendation around here for inexperienced lifters, has several good videos demonstrating the barbell lifts. And to echo GayLubeOil, when in doubt, ask the strongest dude in the gym for help. I learned to lift by asking for help from …

Think of it as a year to really devote to raising your SMV. Get really into lifting-think of yourself as bodybuilder, power lifter, whatever it is you want to look like. Eat a perfect dialed in diet, train heavy, and one year from now you'll like what you see. Reading-set aside time each day. Because you won't have much time to read in med school.

Spend a little time around actors/models, and you'll learn a lot about appearance. I know a B-list actor fairly well, and that guy literally spends 20-30 minutes on his hair every morning, uses 6 or 7 different creams for his face, has perfect nails, always seems to have that perfect 5 o'clock shadow, no big pores, and on and on. It is his job to look perfect, and he treats it as such.

Something that keeps getting hinted at in all of these great comments: read read READ READ READ. Books can provide you an incredible early mentorship. Here's my two cents: go to a nearby used book store. if you want to read fiction, only read the classics. But, for nonfiction, get everything that sounds interesting. Don't buy the books that you "should read." Just get the ones that look interesting to you. You'll find yourself drifting towards a passion in no time.

Not a big fan of test boosters. I really feel you should get diet, sleep, the right type of exercise, and stress management perfect and see what happens. If you have 100% compliance on those, then go and get the real stuff and do a cycle. Test boosters are normally for people looking for a shortcut, but scared of steroids. I really like Apexk9's suggestion. It is your fight or flight reflex kicking in, and you keep choosing flight, probably because you don't think you are capable of fighting. Here's my prescription: Join some sort of combat club-I do Krav Maga. Boxing sounds fun. Lots of people here do MMA. Just pick one. Intense meditation. 20 minutes, in the morning and at night. Give it a try for two weeks and see what happens. Pay more attention to your body language.

I'll throw out one that hasn't been mentioned yet: meditation. It has made a world of difference for keeping me focused. Here is where a lot of people fall short-they try to do everything at once. Read "The War of Art" by Pressfield. The ideas presented in that book, meditation, and a self-ownership mentality have made a huge difference in my life. I get most everything from the grocery store. Ground beef is always cheap, normally some type of chicken will be on sale, eggs are cheap, bacon in bulk isn't too bad. Canned fish isn't that cheap, but I'll probably eat two or three of those a week. if you learn how to roast a chicken, and learn to love eggs, getting your protein is pretty easy. Definitely possible. In many ways, it can be a huge advantage. I think you'll do very well if you start learning computer programming. The best programmers tend to be a little autistic, for lack of better description. Create a very high SMV through lifting, style, job, and other activities. Learn better interaction skills from observation and game. And last but not least, have you looked into Dark Triad? If you're looking for girls who aren't heavy drinkers: girls really into fitness and/or religious girls. As far as your situation, yeah, I understand. Man's Search for Meaning by Frankl is a timeless book that would be extremely useful for you. Obstacle is the Way by Holiday is another good one on practical application of stoicism. As for finding hobbies, I think it starts with some experimentation. Try everything and see what you found interesting. It won't be an aha moment.... Real joy in a hobby doesn't come without serious dedication to it. But you should find a natural liking to something.

When I first started lifting properly, I did Stronglifts 5x5 and substituted T-Bar Rows for barbell rows. So I've done my fair share of t-bar rows. I prefer them to barbell rows because I feel like it is easier on my lower back. But I prefer dumbbell rows to both of them. When I do t-bar rows, I really only feel it in my rhomboids and biceps. But when I do it with dumbbells, I feel rhomboids, lats, biceps, and forearms really doing the work. So with my physique, I really strive for a big V-taper…
