To be fair, Musk and Bezos are...well, Musk and Bezos and Gates was in pictures with Epstein, so you could have used better examples.

Out of all our friends, two stayed friends at first, and after a while, they all realized she was the problem, and now they're all cool with me again. You know what, though? I only ever reach out to the original two. They're my true homies (even though one is a girl - homie is sex neutral to me).

I was married to the sweetest woman in the world until she wanted a divorce. Then things in the house started to go missing once she left. Luckily I caught it all. We had a glock 19 we paid $450 for that went missing and I asked where it went she said she was selling it. So I told her no I wanted it (I didn't) and she replied that I should buy her out of it. I was like, you were about to sell the thing without telling me, when did you plan on buying ME out of it? Anyway, we settled on different …

She's doing it on purpose. She needs everyone, and possibly you, to see her having fun and enjoying her life because it validates her decision to walk out on a marriage. It's all smoke and mirrors. My ex did similar stuff and then she racked up thousands of dollars in debt, took out a loan to go on vacation, and caught her new husband talking to other girls. She can't show thst to the world, so she doubled down on how great her life is according to social media. Believe me, it's a shit-show and …

Same happened to me. She made it all my fault and she was just the innocent girl who wanted to live her authentic life. Anyway, everyone, and I mean everyone, figured out she was full of shit when she had a boyfriend a week later and married him as soon as our divorce was finalized. She's broke and in tons of debt and her dude is not faithfull to her but she's gonna stay with him (to save face or because she hasn't lined anyone up yet). Then they all look at me and I've fucking flourished since …

She was never "officially" diagnosed with bipolar, but had varying degrees of manic and depressive episodes. Mostly depressive with a few very, very strong manic episodes. Either way, I hope she figures it out. Once I realized that all the things I did wrong was just her finding reasons to blame me for her unhappiness I started pitying her instead of hating her. Edit: changed bpd to bipolar.

My ex, in just the last 8 months, has accrued over $15,000 in credit card debt and has taken out a debt consolidation loan so she could go on vacation. Meanwhile, I'm in escrow for a new home. So yeah, I feel this one.

Bro, when you say we are in a mess because we aren't keeping women in check, it tells me you might be part of the problem. EDIT: and don't start with red pill talk - that is a mess of incel bullshit.

I lucked out. While my ex was shitty, she didn't want to ruin me or be spiteful, she just wanted out. So we were able to work a lot of it out and I pushed hard to get her through the divorce while she was still in the fog.

Well, I think we sometimes forget us guys can be equally as shitty and immature, so it's no wonder divorce rates are so high.

I tried to but couldn't get very far. The author of the book seems to think all women are the same and there are hard and fast rules about dating them. It paints humanity into such a childish version of itself the only thing I took from it was that the author himself got hurt. What we don't hear from in this sub are all the relationships that do work. And I'll be the first to admit that mine was a disaster, but it's also my fault because I saw all the red flags I just chose to ignore them. That …

I dont even want to get in to how much money I spent paying off her cards, car, and personal loans when we got married. But apparently I was an unambitious bore who liked paying for things with cash and not living paycheck to paycheck. I might write a while separate post about this, but when I was with her I was depressed, out of shape, broke, and renting a small town home with no future in sight. 8 months after she left I'm in the best shape of my life, have a much better job making more money …

Yeah. Her dad paid off all her remaining credit cards (probably about $4k) when we divorced so she could start over fresh. 4 months later she's maxed all her cards out. The only reason I know is because i was authorized on 3 of them and my credit took a nose dive. I looked into it, saw what happened, called the credit card companies and took my name off of them. It was a ride. Credit went from 750 to 620 to 780 within like 2 months. We even kept a joint bank account with a plan to close it when …

This 100%. She wasn't happy anyway and then she left me because I couldn't make her happy. Guess what? She immediately married a dude and is now unhappy with him - and without any friends because they all realized how shitty she is. It's weird to think when we were together she was a halfway decent person. When she left me she just became a selfish flake. And a broke one. Lesson 2: if you have to hide money from her and act like her parent when it comes to finances, get out. 4 months after leavi…

She got all the friends. I left the state. Then our mutual friends started calling me saying she went off the deep end and they now see how she was crazy. Give it time. If they are true friends they will come around. Otherwise find new ones.

Good on you, man. Stay the course and it all comes out eventually. My ex lied about our relationship and why it failed and everyone believed her too. 8 months later and absolutely everyone I've talked to now knows she's crazy.

What's so weird to me is that he can't seem to fathom that she will do to him what she did to you - or that he just can't think in the long term to see it coming.

I agree with this. My ex made a promise of marriage counseling and I wouldn't have to move out right away and she'd think about things, then she met a dude on Tinder the week after she left. I immediately pushed for divorce. And asap. I think she was shocked with how fast I wanted it done.

I never stared I misread anything and I haven't. You guys keep thinking I did. God is a vengeful asshole that rapes women for being haughty and dashes children to the rocks. You go ahead and worship someone that claims to love you while giving children cancer because it's part of his plan.

2 Kings 14 But he would not hearken to her prayers, but being stronger overpowered her and lay with her. By the way, this is a brother raping his sister. Maybe the bible isn't the best place to take relationship advice.

That's what everyone says. Like I said before, it's wild out here - nothing will surprise me at this point. I will say though, she made it very clear she never wants anything to do with me, and according to mutual friends, she acts like that whole period of her life never existed.

I just want to say that I am simply ranting right now since I found this out a few days ago. Literally the marriage and the cheating is all news to me. I still believe there is a place for marriage and I wish the best for everyone involved here - I've moved on. That being said, when she left me it was made to look like I was just a lazy bum that couldn't make her happy. Dude, this is just the start. When it was all said and done almost every single thing that came out of her mouth was a deception of one thing or another. Stay strong man. Even though you initiated, I recommend you stay away from the booze and facebook/instagram for a while. Save every penny you can and pick up a cheap hobby to blow off steam. There will be steam.

My ex and I owned a gun and when we initially separated it disappeared. After asking her about it she said she sold it to her dad because she wanted a different gun. I said I wanted it (I didnt) and she should have asked before selling it. She said fine she can get it back from her dad, but I would need to buy her out of it, to which I replied, "oh really because you didn't buy me out of it when you sold it to your dad." This type of thing happened over and over. You aren't alone.

I agree. I was married to a girl with severe anxiety and depression. It was hell before she got medicated and once she was medicated it uncovered that nope, you can't medicate anger issues.

I met a girl who is just as busy as I am. We text maybe once or twice a day and I see her on Saturday or Sunday - and not even every week. We both are career minded with no kids and I run and lift weights while she runs and does yoga. We're both in great shape and have good money and we've been on 5 dates without sex. Usually a disconnect like this is due to some form of depression from one partner, and an expectation from the other not being met. In this case, your wife most likely suffers from depression due to a lack of progress in her life. If you've ever played video games, you know that early hours in the game you level up pretty rapidly. As the game progresses you level slower. The main reason for this is to hook you early as you get a big dopamine drop from gaining the level and getting stronger. Much…

I second this. I'm 41, 3 months in, and some days are really tough, but I'm lucky enough to have a great support system. I suggest you open up to a friend or family member that loves you. If you don't have that (or even if you do), look into therapy - a lot of therapists will work with your insurance. 2 books I recommend immediately, and I don't care how cheesy you think they are, I promise reading these books is better than being depressed: The Power of Now, by Ekhart Tolle, and Unleash the Pow…

Everything about what you just said tells me that you NEED to be alone for a little while. 22 and dating for 4 months and you are this messed up about the whims and moods of a college girl? Dude, go to the gym and pick up a hobbie.. if she really wants to join you, he'll yeah, but you need to learn to be able to be ok while alone.

Oh my God, that's a lot of cc debt. I'm assuming a lot of that was the wife since you said you were paying it down. If that's the case, thank heavens you got a divorce. If not, you have been living above your means for a long time and you need to consider downsizing your life anyway.

First things first. You need to have salt and pepper at the very least, Lawry's and/or Tony Chachere's if you are feeling fancy. Next you want to get olive oil. Now you have everything you technically need. First thing you need to know, seasoning is the most important thing you can learn in the kitchen. Any dish you make will be horrible without proper seasoning. Watch YouTube videos on dicing onions, mincing garlic, etc. Once you learn how to season and are comfortable cutting onions and garlic…

I'm glad. Be mindful and when at school or doing homework, try to stay focused in the moment to get the work done. Tomorrow will be tomorrow,, yesterday serves no purpose, right now, there are things to do.. That is a gift as a man, you can box up your emotions for just a moment to get the work done, and you can grieve when time allows it, as long as you do make sure to make the time.

My STBXW just up and left. We were a milder version of this, but kind of reversed. My STBXW has major depression, anxiety, and PTSD issues that she has never even tried to resolve. On top of that she has never once communicated her feelings. I tried so hard at first, and then after several years I gave up and her depression pulled me into one of my own. I lost ambition and purpose as all I tried to do was appease her unhappiness, and only now do I know that there was never anything I could do. A…
