Yeah I think it’s funny how anyone conflates actual communism with soft Western activists Starve in a jungle for a few years then you’re a real collectivist

Communist China, the USSR, ISIS, the Taliban, Nazi Germany, etc are/were all pretty masculine. Modern liberalism isn’t actually collectivist, it’s about giving people privileges regardless of their contribution to society.

If I had to choose? Yeah. I’m married that’s kind of what marriage is. I grew up with divorce and it sucked, id rather create a future where that’s rarer, not more common.

I guess. Anti-social people and behaviour are worse than people who are awkward or whatever. I think it’s fine to shame people who reward those things. Obviously women can pick men other than spergs or deadbeats, but if life was a cartoonish zero-sum game I’d rather they pick the spergs ngl

Those types of guys tend to be productive for society or at least not a drain. Middle class life isnt really sexy but I’d rather awkward middle class people be my neighbours than hood rats with game.

Idk if it’s because of my religion but I don’t really understand fantasising about something you think is evil and being comfortable with it

Monogamy is not a good way of getting sex for most people. I think monogamy is a positive for building a family and a legacy, having kids grow up in a good environment, etc. If you think of your own interests exclusively then yeah monogamy is a raw deal, but having two parents who love each other and care about you is better than any alternative that currently exists. I think a lot of red pill thinking assumes being childfree, which is fine I guess. I wouldn’t get married if I wanted to be child…

Women were considered more sexual than men in the Middle Ages
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/25 09:01 PM

Why would anyone want to be settled for? That just hurts. Telling people to stop whining makes you look like you have no empathy.

Thank God I’ve never faced abuse, but would a guy realistically be able to defend himself without himself being jailed? Yes in a state of nature being stronger is great, but that means Jack if you’ll go to jail for using it. I’ve only heard stories where the guy is punished regardless of who is doing the abuse

Feminists seem to only have a problem with the restrictions though
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 09:40 PM

That leads to women dictating your behaviour so you can get into their pants. I bet a lot of red pill guys have a better life than me in some ways but I don’t admire them, I’d rather be someone I can be proud to be ngl
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:04 PM

This is probably true if your goal is casual sex. If you’re monogamous being a nice person is probably a better strategy. That said, I think it’s really gynocentric to change your behaviour to get more women. This is the same as when women call a guy a virgin as an insult. It’s better to live a life that you’re proud of rather than continuing to try to be attractive to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 03:52 PM

Ok so what was your original point lol
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 06:02 PM

OP said what I said that women don’t want fully equal relationships. You turned it into a conversation about removing human rights from women. There’s no word games you just can’t read without thinking people want to make you live in Afghanistan.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 05:37 PM

As long as we’re on the same page that you don’t want actual social equality, just equal legal rights
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 05:28 PM

Nobody’s talking about human rights. Equality is getting treated exactly the same as someone else. Op’s point is that most women don’t want that. Sure most women want equal human rights but that already exists wherever you can post on Reddit since the 1970s. OP was talking about dating and relationships nobody brought up stopping women from voting. I think it’s fair to say that most women including most feminists don’t want true equality.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 04:52 PM

So you want to be treated equally but somehow also in a traditionally feminine way.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 04:21 PM

You can’t be equal yet have differing expectations of different classes of people.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 03:44 PM

Good OP. Gender equality is fundamentally not what most people want, it’s mostly a cover for wanting the advantages that men have without the added downsides.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 02:11 PM

Equality doesn’t mean just the good things.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 02:09 PM

If you look up almost any major evil person in history they had no problem with women. I think it just shows that women aren’t a barometer for how good you are or where you are in life, they’re just people. You’re right it shows they’re not better people.

Yeah this is what I’ve always thought lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/25 02:16 PM

I think most people who complain about this are annoyed at how these issues are presented hypocritically not that it doesn’t happen to them. Sex outside of marriage is against my religion and have no dog in this race, but I think people who create double standards are annoying and lack integrity

Just saying that marriage problems including cheating are almost never completely one sided. I’m not saying this to excuse cheating, just people seem to take a really black and white view of this stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/24 08:52 PM

So in other words there are marital issues other than chores that actually need to be addressed. The chores thing is easier to talk about than everyone admitting your marriage has deep issues.

Why have marriage if it’s ok to just leave if it gets bad though? It’s definitely been my experience growing up that the woman is way more likely to want the divorce.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/24 03:45 PM
2

I mean the point of a vow or duty is that you do it whether or not you want to. Marriage shouldn’t feel like a duty often, but I think for most people it does at least once in a while. Personally I don’t really expect most people will take their wedding vows seriously so I don’t want to hold it over their head.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/24 03:41 PM

I’m being hyperbolic, but I think that enthusiastic consent creates too high a bar for what I’d prosecutable or will lead to reputational damage. Rape should involve real coercion, anything else is being an asshole but shouldn’t get you jailed or cancelled
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/24 02:52 PM

I mean there’s lots of cases where this kind of makes sense. If you’ve been married for 40 years and your wife is going through menopause she probably won’t ever be that enthusiastic about sex. A lot of couples would still be occasionally ok with sex. My wife has a condition where we’re not able to physically have sex. When (if) she recovers the sex we have to start won’t be amazing and enthusiastic, it will be slow and careful for medical reasons. It probably won’t be pleasant for either of us …

Being lower class before the West became insanely wealthy would have been terrible no matter what. When the West became wealthier for everybody life became better, so everything became better. You'd need to prove that gender roles 100 years ago were worse irrespective of the fact that life in general was worse.

You sound Protestant
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 07:04 PM

Yeah those things are for perverts and they’re not normal. In animals (which we are if you didn’t know), there’s no separating pair bonding from sex and everything else. People do it because we’re overly neurotic because of technology. What I’m saying is that normal people will associate relationships with sex and with having kids. Those all come from one drive biologically. People can separate those things but it’s not how animals are designed. Imagine not knowing what an analogy is.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/24 09:32 PM
2

Sex and relationships are all part of one thing which is sexual for normal people. Boy meets girl, they get along, have sex, have kids, get old together. This is what normal people want. Sure it’s not a need in the way that food is. We could also live in North Korea and all needs would be met, but we’d be miserable.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/24 06:47 PM
2

The fact that you think this substitutes relationships with real people tells me everything I need to know about you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/24 05:00 PM

Yeah sex drive exists for reproduction. Whether or not people reproduce it still usually exists
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 09:49 PM
3

Humans are biologically designed to mate. It’s funny how you people have no religion but treat humans as if they have different basic needs and urges than animals If a cat isn’t neutered it acts like mating is a need, idk why humans are different
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 10:24 PM
6

Wrong. Desperately wanting food, a job, success, etc are all normal.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 05:13 PM
5

You realise humans are biologically programmed for sex/relationships right? Desperately wanting to be with someone is normal and makes sense evolutionarily Don’t be cringe about it but you usually shouldn’t be as happy single

/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 04:10 PM

Normally the guy’s attraction to her should slow down too, porn seems to delay that. I think you’re right, but in our culture a happy marriage where you both mostly get what you want is considered important. People think marriage is more than just having kids and having a business. Cheating also used to be much more common.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/24 04:07 PM
1

This is true, but I think people can use that as an excuse not to improve. It’s better to stay even if it sucks, but it’s better to advocate for yourself and require your spouse to do better so that you have a good marriage. (Or yourself do better, whatever the case may be)

I think you’re right about the tangible problems with no tangible solutions thing. I go because my problems are tangible with nothing I can really do about them, but I think it’s possible that some coping mechanisms that they teach are helpful. Maybe it doesn’t do anything but it definitely doesn’t make anything worse

Is it ok to call a black guy who stole from you a coon? I mean all the black people who didn’t steal will understand and not be at all offended. Using something as an insult implies it’s a bad thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 04:40 PM
1

That’s smart until you think about it. If you make fun of an attribute someone doesn’t control, even if they deserve it, it reflects on everyone else with the same attribute. Imagine you’re an incel but you’re also a feminist who hates Fuentes. Would you feel ok when someone hates on Fuentes for being an incel? “Oh it’s ok I’m not him so it doesn’t reflect poorly on me.”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 04:38 PM
1

I think you’re right to some extent, but if everyone thought about life as an evolutionary power struggle then the world would be a much darker place. We can live in peace because enough people are convinced that being a good person will mean you have a good life. So yeah we could all take the mask off but it would have bigger consequences. Following your logic why not endorse rape and violence to get what you want?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 04:32 PM
1

You’re overthinking this. People often associate unattractive physical characteristics with unattractive personality traits - fat people, ugly people, etc are usually seen in a bad light morally or as “creepy.” I think it’s usually people get the ick and then retroactively justify it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 04:22 PM

Feminism is a power struggle to benefit women, and I’m tired of pretending it’s not
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/24 04:12 PM

The US isn’t the only country in the world where you can have guns. Even by state it’s not consistent. There’s just no reason to think the problem is that normal people have guns. If your choice is have sex or kill a child you shouldn’t have sex. The cool thing is that’s not the only choices. As far as your point about birth control stats, thank you for the information. Again this could be mitigated by not having sex where you’d want to kill your offspring. Just a thought. Would you spot me that…

You made that comparison, not me. A fetid is a child. I get what you’re saying about them being undeveloped and not born yet, and at really early stages that can make sense emotionally. Do you think it’s ok to abort a baby a week before birth for example? How would you determine when it’s ok or not? As far as guns and school shootings, they’re really rare and are a mental health issue. I’m all for banning people with mental illnesses across the board from owning certain guns or something. There already are background checks. Give me documentation or this is just being an armchair hack psychologist. 90% of abortions are for financial or commitment reasons and not because of rape or even because birth control didn’t work (last I checked the stats). I could be misunderstanding this, but this means most abortions are because people were having unprotected sex and didn’t want a baby. That seems like bad behaviour because you’re creating life you don’t even intend to keep. Other people…

This is delusional but I’ll play along. School shootings are a mental health issue - they weren’t happening fourth years ago even though the same guns were available. Saying that conservatives want to punish women for sex is a conspiracy theory. It’s legitimately crazy.

Valuing contentment and humility in our culture would do a lot. A whole host of factors (social media, culture of narcissism, belief we can change the world exactly to our liking) make people in our culture want the shiniest and best thing. Go bags and escape funds for either men or women strike me as insecure and having a foot out the door. If my wife had one I’d e pissed. If you’re a woman and you have one, you’re either delusional and anxious or you should get out of your marriage asap. Most men by far are completely kind people who won’t hurt you. I think they’re kind of like a prenup.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 07:29 AM

My point is if she doesn’t like them she should still visit them unless they’re objectively awful people and you don’t see them either. It’s not tit for tat but relationships should be reciprocal or else there’s something wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 09:22 PM

Yeah his advice only seemed appealing because of crap I dealt with as a kid, being nice actually makes my marriage better lol

If they do why do women complain about men not doing chores? I’m surprised that this is confusing to you. When you’re single you have to do everything, when you’re married you shared responsibility so you do things for each other. I don’t only take out my trash, while my wife takes out hers. Maybe you’re weird and have an arrangement where you don’t do things for each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:49 PM

Are you trying to be dumb or do you just have really bad reading comprehension skills
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:34 PM
1

This is the only argument against my post that I think was dealing with my point. Honestly at that point women just need to learn accountability. In a relationship you have duties and responsibilities. I don’t think that covert contracts actually are bitchy per se, a lot of the time it would be weird if you spelled them out explicitly imo
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:29 PM
1

This is true. Marriage can be hard, and for us at the beginning this was true for both of us because we come from different backgrounds. You work through that. Ideally a lot of expectations should just be assumed and obvious, but we all have differences and flaws so sometimes you do need to spell it out more
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:25 PM

You’d have to talk that out
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:22 PM
1

Again it’s not my term
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:22 PM
1

My point is that chores are tasks people don’t enjoy doing, which means they don’t want to do them. Which is why women complain about needing to do all of them on this sub 24/7. So when I asked you if you want to take out the trash, you missed my point My point is that most people don’t want to do chores, so most people do things in their marriage that they don’t want to do
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:20 PM

I agree with you. I guess I wrote my post badly because nobody on the RP side has given a defence of covert contracts, it’s just been women thinking I’m asking for duty sex. You’re one of the few people who understands what I was trying to say so I probably said it badly. It was just a big realisation for me because I thought Robert Glover was so smart for that idea. Maybe I’ll try a round two because if I’m misunderstanding Glover or there’s a reason that they’re bad I’m not understanding I’m i…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:17 PM

Let’s say one covert contract is “if we see my spouses family we can also see my family.” That should just be really obvious, I think it would be weird to spell that out directly. Or “I’ll put work in the relationship so they do too.” I don’t think those should have to be expressed verbally. I didn’t make this post to say everyone should have covert contracts, I made it because I’ve changed my mind and don’t agree with the red pill criticism that they receive. Your relationship problems are prob…

Yeah One red pill idea is that these ‘covert contracts’ are a bad thing, I think it’s actually wrong, which is why i made the post. It shouldn’t be revolutionary lol

Do you want to take out out the trash?

I agree with this. Im not defending covert contracts as being the be all and end all, more that if you put in the effort it’s not wrong to expect them to do the same

Yeah agreed.

Thank you People somehow think you can leave with people for 60+ plus years without anything being transactional or doing things you don’t want to do My grandma who’s the only person in my family with an intact family taught me this when I was a kid and I’ll trust her over feminist goobers
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 07:25 AM
1

“Covert contract” is a specific phrase with a specific meaning. I didn’t invent the term
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 07:23 AM
1

Well when things are difficult what you do can be kind of performative, but that’s not bad. Sometimes you’re tired and you don’t want to play with your kid, but you do because you’re a good parent. You can phrase it differently and I don’t think you’re wrong, i was arguing against a construct where you don’t do things you don’t want to do
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 07:23 AM
3

I’m sorry for anyone that thinks they have to sleep on the couch in their own home lmao But yeah my point was just “it’s ok to be a good spouse with the expectation that your spouse will do the same.” Somehow everyone is acknowledging this is true but then assuming that this is just an apologetic for duty sex Other people made that about sex. Yes I do believe that being a good spouse involves sex, which is obvious. That doesn’t mean duty sex - it can mean waiting til you’re in the mood, working …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 07:20 AM
1

Yeah I agree with all this. My post wasn’t originally about sex specifically. My basic point is that if you put in an effort, you should expect your partner to as well. That’s my basic point. Somehow this is rocket science to people on this sub
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 06:57 AM
3

I see what you mean, I’m think of “I have to” as “I have to in order to be a loving husband,” I agree with you
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 12:19 AM
1

Right, but it means that you need some kind of stimulation in order to experience desire. So you wouldn’t immediately feel like it. Obviously responsive desire doesn’t mean that if you get manhandled enough you’ll want sex, but it means not feeling like it without touch etc Because it’s not immediate it’s something you can be more or less open to. I’m saying that it’s good to try to be open to it. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t say no
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 12:04 AM
1

How would you feel like it if you only had responsive desire?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:56 PM
1

Would you then not have sex at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:51 PM
1

If you were in a situation where you only had responsive desire would you just never have sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:48 PM
1

Also the original point I wanted to make was against red pill people who are against men doing things in a relationship that they don’t want to do. Y’all have been gaslighting me so much that I forgot why I even wrote this argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:42 PM
1

No, what’s brave is being a boss babe instead of actually having a conversation. I’ve never said that saying no necessarily makes you a bad spouse. Either you’re not reading what I’m saying or you need to learn reading comprehension. You probably won’t explain how what you’re saying works with responsive desire because you’d rather call me a rape apologist
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:36 PM
1

Wow that’s so brave!
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:31 PM
1

Have you heard of responsive desire?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:28 PM
1

My argument is that being a good spouse with the hope that your spouse will also be a good spouse is reasonable. I never mentioned sex in my op. To your point though, yeah, sometimes women should do things they don’t want to do. That’s called being an adult. That could be trying to be more sexual because it would make your spouse happy, but it could also be plenty of other things. 99% of people do things they don’t really want to do. If you’re part of the small number of people who don’t I’m hap…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:13 PM

That’s great to hear! If you both are happy with that I’m not going to fight you.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:08 PM

Look if it works for you I’m not going to tell you otherwise
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:05 PM

So you only have sex when you were both actively thinking about it first?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:04 PM
0

If I gave a situation where it was reversed you’d say I was a criminal, I’m not trying to be r/ihavesex Which is why you get yourself in the mood if possible it’s not rocket science. This works for me and other people
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 11:01 PM
0

So you never have sex when it wasn’t something you were actively thinking about first?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 10:59 PM
1

Nothing is that black and white but you do you. Just as an example some people have responsive desire where what you’re saying doesn’t work
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 10:51 PM
3

Thanks for understanding what I’m saying. I originally thought covert contracts were bad and then have done a lot of work on myself and realised they have their place
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 10:49 PM
1

Why is having sex with someone because they want to bad? Obviously if you’re talking about you really don’t want to I get it, but I’ve had sex with my spouse because they wanted to and I got in the mood, the world didn’t end lol
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 10:46 PM
-2

I think it depends on what you mean by “not feeling it.” I’ve had sex with my spouse when I wasn’t rabidly in the mood and I think that’s being a good spouse. If I legitimately didn’t want to at the time that would be different
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 10:44 PM
0

It’s from the phrase I discussed in the OP. I’m not saying you should call it that. Some parts of marriage are a contract like assets or not cheating, but I’m not talking directly about that
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 10:42 PM
2

Agreed, but if you never hang out then you’re not friends Sometimes you might prefer to get sushi with your friends but you get Chinese because they want Chinese
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 09:19 PM
1

I’d never defend marital rape, this is autistic
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 09:13 PM
2

Sex can be an expectation and part of the contract in marriage without it being coerced. For example friends hang out. That doesn’t mean that you go force your friends to hang out at gunpoint lol
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 09:12 PM
1

I don’t enjoy duty sex, but responsive desire is a thing. I’m not saying that you should do chores to get duty sex. I’m saying that if you’re making an effort it’s ok to expect your spouse makes an effort with responsive desire for example
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 09:10 PM
1

Yeah I’m fine with that
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 08:52 PM
-5

In my religion you don’t need to do xyz, sex is part of marriage. But yeah if a guy is a good husband, barring some circumstances his wife should have sex with him. Idk how that’s controversial.

I’m married and have experienced good and bad things from it. If you’ve never done something because you think you should, that’s good, but most people do things they don’t really want to do. I don’t want to visit my in-laws if I could have beer and play video games at home, or spend money on home improvements, etc, but I do those things because I love my wife. Idk how that’s bad. My wife also has a condition that we’re trying to deal with and it requires sacrifices. I wouldn’t do those things i…

I agree with you. I think it’s good to explain things that you want in a relationship, and if they’re not doing that to be direct about it. I think it would be reasonable to think “if I do my best as a spouse my wife will try to do her best,” but as you say it’s a good idea to specify what that means
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 08:35 PM
2

People who complain about covert contracts Idk how I used to think it’s a deep idea. It’s how any relationship functions because all relationships have a transactional element
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 08:19 PM
1

That shouldn’t be an unrealistic fantasy lol
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 08:16 PM

This contradicts my lived experience. Even if it’s statistically true that doesn’t mean it’s true across the board.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 05:00 PM
8

I don’t think that’s the point, it’s more that if you filter exclusively for attractiveness without filtering for personality you’ll run into this issue. If half of both ugly men and attractive men are kind, and you only filter for attractiveness you have half of your options that are mean.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 04:58 PM

This is obviously not true. Guys who are more attractive have more sex and access to multiple sexual partners than guys who aren’t attractive. Being kind and loving doesn’t affect this. Criminals in prison get love letters, while nobody cares about humble family men or something.

I think it’s irritating when women say it considering they don’t have any idea what it’s like living up to those expectations.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 03:28 PM
1

Exactly.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/24 07:30 PM
2

Right, some men want a woman who is super sexual with them but is completely virginal. Such people exist but they’re kind of a unicorn. In the same way, having a guy who is completely stoic but also very emotive is possible. It’s just you’re a unicorn.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/24 03:17 PM
2

Isn’t this kind of like how some men expect women to be completely virginal with everyone except them? It’s kind of delusional. People who are really excitable are going to generally be excitable, people who aren’t will be stoic across the board. There might be a few people who express their emotions exactly like you want but that’s a vanishingly small number
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/24 01:01 PM

People generally say I’m very stoic iro but it means unfortunately I don’t get as excited about stuff either This is definitely true

Women are just better people than men /s
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/24 02:08 PM

Some can be. Honestly the Red Pill has this right- work on finances, social skills and your looks. Or say “have a woman help you with your dating profile.” That’s not applicable for everyone but it’s better than telling people to take a shower.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 02:13 AM
17

That’s genuinely insane. I was flustered when I first asked my wife out but I’m not at all insecure about what she does with her day other life. Honestly this is just character bashing of people you don’t know
/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 02:08 AM

Women want to be part of men’s activities but expect the filter This is what I mean when I say my wife isn’t my friend - i don’t do guy talk with her because she wouldn’t like that, of course she’s a friend just not the same thing
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/24 05:51 PM

I mean yeah, ‘wife’ and ‘friend’ are two different buckets in my life. That’s pretty normal across history and cultures. That doesn’t mean that my wife isn’t a friend in some way, but it’s not as if she’s a best friend who I happen to have sex with or something. Wanting that is delusional.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/24 05:42 PM
2

I was mostly responding to the idea that the women murdering their husbands was evidence that they weren’t happy in their marriages- if you’re not the same commenter then sorry for the confusion
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/24 07:34 PM
3

By this logic can we use men beating their wives as evidence that women are often annoying? I think what he’s saying is that abusive or otherwise bad behaviour happens because the person doing it is a certain way not because of the victim. I’m open to the idea that this isn’t true, but you open up a really uncomfortable can of worms
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/24 07:05 PM
1

What more do you want lol Men are biologically stronger, more competitive and more aggressive. Idk what you think is going to change those things other than mass hormonal replacement or castration. How is abortion critical medical procedure? In cases where the woman’s life is in danger they usually don’t need to do an abortion per se
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/24 12:57 PM
1

Pretty much all those things are illegal, and there are plenty of initiatives to stop them. Idk how abortion is an equality issue
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/24 11:11 AM
1

How do they not?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 05:10 PM

Feminism is necessarily anti-men at this point, seeing as women have equality in the west - any further advocacy is just about disadvantaging men.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/24 04:52 PM

Sure. The original conversation was about leaving because of a bad sex life. You’re confirming my point

/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/24 02:07 PM

I ageee it’s good to be explicit, but idk how people expect to have a relationship and not put in maximum effort to meet the other person’s needs. Our culture seems to have this expectation that you completely let yourself go and still be entitled to the other person’s effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/24 03:51 PM
1

My religion prohibits divorce, but what he’s saying is reasonable. If your significant other knows that you care about sex and they let your sex life tank by their choice it shows they’re inconsiderate. Imagine replacing sex with emotional connection in your comment

Can’t wait til America collapses under the weight of its own insanity.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/24 04:00 PM

‘Emotional Labour’ is mostly a way for some women to feel bad for themselves. Most of it is things that nobody really cares about or needs
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 10:58 PM

American culture lives for “just world theory,” and this is a clear example where it’s wrong. Just like people born into wealth have a way easier life in many ways including subtle ones, this is also true of looks. It might be a dead horse, but it’s also pretty profound that being a ‘good boy’ won’t make your life sunshine and buttercups
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/24 07:11 PM

That would be a good point if our culture didn’t treat ‘toxic’ or ‘abusive’ men like Hitler.

The courts treat it like paper too. 2. The justice of a law has nothing to do with its legal feasibility
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/24 11:07 PM

This only matters if you think the constitution has some inherent value. It’s just a law code like the Magna Carta or Hammurabi’s code. The US government already treats the constitution like a piece of paper, so idk how that’s a meaningful point. The question most people have is if the law is just and that’s totally separate from its constitutionality.

She gets equal spending money as me, she can set her own schedule and as long as basic stuff gets done it’s all fine. Yes she might work more hours, but she can nap or sleep in or go somewhere fun while I don’t have that flexibility. I also take care of the bills. I’ve heard women gush about actors on their looks, not about how helpful a guy is This is straight from women. Can you gives examples of studies that show women are attracted to useful men or examples of women gushing over their useful husbands? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 07:22 PM
3

So why does being “helpful” make no difference in someone’s success with women? I’ve heard of men getting swooned over for their looks but not for their helpfulness The “fun” things you listed are things that guys who get a lot of women’s interest usually have
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/23 07:01 PM

I get that childbirth takes a toll, but plenty of women will be overwhelmed and still cheat, right? It’s not like being a good husband means you’ll have a good sex life, plenty of awful husbands and dads do though I’m not saying this because I don’t think it’s important to be a good parent, just that it’s wrong to claim that the problem is just being overwhelmed or men not doing enough
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 09:43 PM
0

A lot of what this guy said is against my religion, but how is it bad for him to care when she’ll want sex again or look good again? It’s dishonest to treat those concerns as immature, considering women will generally want their husbands to perform in some specific way. Wanting your spouse to perform is ugly but it’s also pretty human.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/23 02:16 PM

In a way RedPill is the biggest ass kissing women will ever get: it basically lets women blame their toxic behaviour on you not being “alpha” enough lol
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 06:01 PM

The big difference to me is that men get made fun of for this, while with women we try to find a way for this to be logical and realistic. In actual fact wanting a woman who’s only loose with you is dumb, just the way that wanting a man who’s only gentle with you is dumb. As you say these people don’t really exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/23 06:51 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 07:31 PM
4

I get what you’re saying, but some of that is just a matter of how you want to parent. Plenty of people with babies manage to do those things. Though I’ve not had time for naps in three years
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 07:30 PM

What trad events are you talking about? I didn’t realise these people did meet ups lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/23 12:28 PM

I mean yeah If we didn’t make generalities we wouldn’t have a starting point on how to interact with people
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 09:30 PM

If we stopped making generalisations society would fall apart

The whole anti-short men thing just makes me think sexism isn’t all wrong Like people who can’t even bench a plate are criticising men for not being tall enough
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 11:54 AM
2

It’s good and bad I’m much friendlier and more popular since being in a relationship (and you get immunity to act like an idiot and nobody can criticise you), but also I have less time for hobbies.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/23 08:13 PM

If you hate sex with him so much just break up though Idk how I could hate sex with someone I love and blame them that’s just insane
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 07:52 PM
1

Only women are allowed to do that lol
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 06:01 PM
1

That 161 million probably includes women under 18 and old people. If he’s looking to date women 20 to 30 that’s probably a much bigger percentage Not saying 1/4 is accurate but this is just reality
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 05:57 PM
2

“I faked it” means “I didn’t make any effort to make my life better and stuck with you and didn’t try to make my sexual relationship better” which translates to “I’m blaming you for me being passive and expecting you to do everything for me”
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 05:08 PM

Yeah it just shows how entitled and passive some women are lol
/r/PurplePillDebate22/09/23 04:23 PM

I think those are the only two good reasons Otherwise why did you make a vow? It is subsidising because if you were married the husband wouldn’t be giving you that money you’d be using it together
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 11:08 PM

How are women screwed in marriage, and if they are, why are they usually the ones who want to get married? It might be funny, but it’s true. Data isn’t self interpreting, so just because a study says something doesn’t mean it represents reality. For example despite everything OP said, I’ve seen information that men lose 10-40% of their standard of living at divorce. Idk how accurate as a whole that is, but that’s the data I’ve seen. Also, just to illustrate my point, just because three of nine s…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 09:29 PM
4

The evidence presented if it was true (which is probably debatable because lying with data is easy) would just show that on the whole it’s not as bad for men as we hear. None of that changes the fact that on the whole men get screwed from divorce- if they didn’t why would women be the ones doing it 70% of the time?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 08:58 PM
2

It might not be a windfall for women, fine. I know that in my experience it did mean getting subsidised by the husband even if custody was equal But it’s something that women do most of the time (70-80%) without grave reason (they’re not getting beaten or cheated on usually), so it can’t be all that bad for them.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 08:56 PM
0

I’d research this and challenge your data, but my feelings on divorce don’t come from the Red Pill or Buzzfeed. I actually saw most family and family friends get divorced and it wasnt as hunky dory as you’re portraying.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/23 08:19 PM
1

I agree with you, but I bet if women were honest with men and with themselves they would have a lot more problems securing men. “Hey I’m really beautiful right now and we’ll have a lot of sex and then I’ll unilaterally make you celibate in ten years” is not a sales pitch that many men would listen to. I’m saying this as someone getting married soon. I just try to have accurate expectations
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 05:49 PM

Most dead bedrooms is because the wife doesn’t want sex though, it’s not because neither do. Maybe I’m wrong but I don’t think the lack of sex is usually a mutually desired thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 04:22 PM
1

Denying your spouse sex isn’t deep or spiritual. I agree that things change and it’s not bad, but there’s nothing good about “no not tonight honey” indefinitely
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 02:06 PM

I mean there’s also tons of ads for beauty standards for men idk how you can say this
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/23 01:24 PM

Women think of most men as NPCs anyway, so I believe they can view their friends platonically. Still, I think boundaries are important so I’m not a fan I shouldn’t have to trust you to only have friends you see as NPCs

I specifically said in my post that I’m not asking anyone to settle I’m just making the point that it’s a problem if you have mass singleness
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/23 03:29 PM

If you think that most people being single would be a problem this post doesn't really mean anything to you
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/23 02:56 PM
1

It might not be the “good part,” but relationships are by definition sexual. If there’s a problem in that area it defeats a key reason for relationships If I just want a friend I have a lot of friends already I don’t need someone to watch tv with or go to dinner or drinks with The two things you can’t have with friends are romance and children
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/23 03:01 AM
1

There’s sex and then there’s making love. Sure, it’s not bad, but I think most guys like the fun sexy part of relationships more than cleaning up vomit and dealing with their wife’s libido swings Hence why it’s probably frustrating to think your wife had a bunch of crazy sex with someone else while you’re not But this isn’t really my problem because you can marry someone with a low n count
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/23 02:44 AM
2

I want to be a dad as much as anyone but I think most men don’t want to be just a dad and miss out on being a lover
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/23 02:09 AM
4

Nah Marriage is a contract for two people to have a family and grow together and be secure. If you do t uphold your end of the bargain you are a bad person. If you don’t want to commit yourself to that person don’t marry them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/23 04:48 PM
6

I don’t even care about an N count. I just don’t see why I should invest time, buy a ring, clean up baby vomit, get nagged, etc while some other guy just got the good part of a relationship and didn’t commit anything. Glad I’m marrying a religious girl lol
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/23 04:33 PM

If I had that type of past I’d consider it, but I date for marriage and I would definitely not date someone who has a way different history

People cheat for a lot of different reasons and how much we should sh!t on them will depend on factors. I think cheating is always wrong. If someone was in a dead bedroom against their will or if they didn’t know themselves enough to avoid trouble I’ll blame them less than if they had a good spouse and sought it out Either way it’s terrible behaviour that God hates though
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/23 05:42 PM

To be fair, showing a limited and calculated emotional side can be really effective in some scenarios. Being sensitive is useless, but showing a “caring” or “emotional” side is effective if you’ve got both “hot” and “cold” moods that make you seem more interesting and exciting. I don’t think being stoic is always more attractive- being sensitive isn’t, but being like a rollercoaster can be. I don’t think there’s any incentive to not be toxic or toxically masculine for that matter - a lot of wome…

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/23 05:41 PM

This is exactly what OP is saying though. Women want what’s in these fantasy books but they’ll never have it - so it’s what they would want even if it’s only a fantasy. What OP is saying should be obvious but everyone gaslights men into thinking this isn’t true.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/23 03:58 PM
3

I can’t really understand the idea of fantasies about something you wouldn’t want in reality- either these women are completely different from me or they’re capping.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/23 03:49 PM
1

Why would I go to another country because I want women? I already have a woman and this is where I was born and hope to die Doesn’t mean I won’t complain about modern gender dynamics and criticise how messed up our culture around sexuality is Why would you go to Reddit for dating advice anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/23 06:53 PM
1

Agreed
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:58 PM

This goes back to the fact that women overestimate how much they do - there’s definitely plenty of women who have no reason to complain
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:55 PM
1

We don’t know how these numbers are distributed though. It could be that they’re in large part pretty even. Or a lot of marriages have vastly different amounts of work being done. We don’t know. So you’re right I’m sorry for saying they’re outliers without being able to know that, that’s dishonest on my part. In any case I don’t think it’s been demonstrated that women complaining about useless husbands is accurate. So my anecdotal claim that women in 50/50 relationships seem unhappy is still at …
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:45 PM
1

You demonstrated it for me Men do 51.2 hours and women do 52.6 hours. That’s really close to 50/50, and is nowhere near to mommying your husband. I can’t demonstrate that women don’t want a 50/50 relationship. All I can say is that women in 50/50 relationships actually are pretty equal in terms of contributions as their husbands, and that they complain about their husbands a good amount in my experience and claim they’re momying them. It just seems like they’d rather do less than their husbands,…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 05:37 PM
1

So the difference is about an hour, that’s roughly 50/50. you’re talking about like a 2% discrepancy So these people complaining are either outliers or mistaken.

Yes but they think they do more than they do. Of course women do more housework overall but they tend to make less and work less It probably wuss up being pretty close to 50/50 net contribution

Have you noticed how many married women after 40 tend to be jaded and sulky and complain about their husbands?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 04:53 PM

Honestly idk what’s wrong with most gender double standards, women and men are extremely different - those double standards mostly exist for a reason. Patriarchy is benevolent and has existed for thousands of years for a reason

/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 10:39 PM

Most people probably get into relationships because they want sex, so bring in a relationship and not wanting sex is bad - if you get a job and don’t want to work people would call you a bad employee
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 10:08 PM

My religion doesn’t believe in divorce so I’m not really into that, but I see where you’re coming from. I think people can make things work a lot better than we give ourselves credit for.

The norm is that marital rape and cheating is ok. Dead bedrooms are not really normal on a historical level. I don’t think marital rape is ok so I think making an effort to have sex with your spouse is a good alternative Yeah sexual attraction will change over time, but nobody really thought that it means that spouses should just be celibate
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 06:25 PM
6

I mean you’re not wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:36 PM
3

Yeah I agree with everything you said When you actually look into the marriage debt it’s really not that crazy imo I agree that nobody has a right to sex in an unmarried relationship, but to be fair everyone needs to be clear about expectations before getting into it
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 05:15 PM
3

By this logic why would you request sexual exclusivity? If this is all at will with no expectations then fidelity should be too. This is something that most religions understand so it’s not like I’m making this up
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 04:29 PM
3

Be attractive and be toxic
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 03:35 PM

Huh so weird that men don’t like it if someone refuses to have sex with you but also bans you from sex with others
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 03:34 PM
1

Withholding sex from your spouse is against the spirit of marriage. If you promise exclusivity you’re giving yourself a responsibility to provide that thing. If you signed a contract with a company that you would only work there, they have a responsibility to give you that job
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 12:28 AM
-4

Where did you get this definition? Because monogamy is a sexual relationship by nature, so sex is implied.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/23 12:24 AM
-3

It’s implied This is absurd lol Why would you be monogamous if the other person could indefinitely refuse you sex? No western religion has thought that because it’s insane

By most people’s standards that’s a pretty big advantage
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:31 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:27 PM

Well the behaviour is often different from what they say they like. So why believe what women say at face value about this?

My religion doesn’t allow casual sex so it’s not even an issue for me- I’m sure if I wanted it I could get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 11:05 AM

I don’t expect anyone to throw themselves at me lol I just expect the person I’m with to give me their best just like I’m giving them my best. If you treat your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife/husband as less than because you don’t think they’re hot enough, you’re a pretty crappy person. I hope those people throw themselves away from me because I won’t settle for their bs

Solution: if she’s not a Virgin don’t marry her Nobody has to complain anymore
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 06:18 AM

From a non-religious standpoint I definitely understand why you’d treat different guys sexually depending on how attractive they are. I don’t have a problem with that. Getting married to a religious girl who treats me like Chad so it’s not my problem inshallah 🤷🏿
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 06:16 AM

I don’t disagree. But why would I give meaningful commitment to someone who treats other people better? Like if I know I’m the okra why would I be with said person?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 04:54 AM
1

Why would I date someone who treats me worse than their other exes? If she was with Chad and won’t treat me as well then I’ll just find someone who’ll treat me better
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 04:48 AM

I don’t have any close female friends but I’ve never heard of this from friends that do. I’m sure it happens but I’m not friends with people who’d do menial tasks for no reason like that
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/23 04:45 AM

I agree that love shouldn’t be transactional, but relationships are transactional, and they should be. For example marriage is a contract, you should come into marriage with expectations of the other person. Same with being boyfriend and girlfriend- it’s perfectly reasonable to expect your “significant other” to do certain things and for them to expect the same for you. Idk how that makes love any less real or romantic. But you shouldn’t start loving someone in the first place based on what they…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 10:40 AM
2

Agreed I think it’s the only way to get people to have more normal standards though
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 10:22 AM
3

I think enforced monogamy (ie making traditional marriage the norm again) would mostly make this happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 07:58 AM
1

This is the classic “women don’t like bad boys/toxic guys just because they’re toxic, it’s actually because of x.” I’m a pretty quiet guy and can be shy, according to you I should be boring and have a hard time with women but I’m not and I don’t. In relationships I can have a lot of “bad boy” behaviours and it helps a lot. But realistically those behaviours just work because they work, not because you’re going jet skiing in your free time
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/23 01:27 AM
1

It goes against my religion so I wouldn’t even consider her If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t necessarily care though as long as she doesn’t talk to me about it

Idk a lot of women seem to actually like douche bags
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/23 07:25 PM

If I didn’t care about sex I’d probably be living in a shack in the woods instead of working a nice 9-5 job. Doubt I’m alone in that So probably worse

To have a marriage that lasts until my fiancée or I die and to not get dead-bedroomed, cheated on, etc Not looking to manipulate or play the field
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/23 06:48 PM

At this stage in my life when i marry my fiancée I’ll be contributing 10x more to the family income than she will and she won’t need to work. No shot am I going to do anywhere near as much as her in terms of chores. If she got a job because she wanted one im not going to do more chores because that’s not a necessary addition to our income If we were making about the same amount or both our incomes were needed I could see your point though

/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 04:41 PM

Lol on what planet do men hate female sexuality? I hang around with super conservative Christians and we most certainly don’t
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/23 04:18 PM
1

If you say it at the beginning idk how it’s controlling. It would be controlling if you say it a year into dating. If on the third date I say “you are not allowed to talk to your parents ever,” the girl would probably just leave because that’s insane. That’s being honest even if it’s also insane.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 03:16 AM
5

I mean a lot of the time they choose this for themselves Most women live with the guy they wind up marrying- if he’s not doing dishes now why do they think he will? Why don’t they have these conversations? I’m Catholic and they make you go over all this before you get married. I’m any case i and my friends would be considered Christian fundamentalists and none of us expect women to both work and do all that stuff - I’m fine with my fiancée not working once we’re married
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/23 03:11 AM

Women can be nice to be around and they can be annoying too. A lot of women are both at the same time

I’m gonna call bs on that My fiancée is extremely hot to me but she doesn’t go to the gym, get implants, etc I go to the gym 3-6 times a week and I have muscles, but it’s way more effort on my part than on hers
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/23 11:41 PM
1

I guess? I’m monogamous for moral and religious reasons. If my fiancée was unfaithful to me I’d just break up with her. I did the right thing, that’s all that matters. If I believed in non-monogamy I’d enjoy certain things about it, but I don’t, and knowing that I’m following my beliefs is more important
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/23 10:31 PM

Almost every night I leave the gym and there’s junkies. Sometimes they just walk around but often they start heckling people. Maybe they’re not dangerous but that’s behaviour that seems threatening.

It’s neither here nor there but I usually can’t tell if my fiancée is wearing makeup or not Sometimes she has none on and I think she looks super beautiful and sometimes she puts a lot on and I can’t tell

A married person cheating is sickening

How about this- Most people by definition are ordinary, chances are, you’re ordinary. If you can’t be happy with what is ordinary you will probably never be happy. The person who always needs a fancy steak to be happy will be depressed unless he’s Andrew Tate. But if you can happily eat mac and cheese then nobody can take your joy from you.

I’ve cried in front of my fiancée three times and it has not lead to any negative consequences whatsoever That said that’s three times over almost three years so it’s not very emotional
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/23 06:13 PM

Yeah that’s a fair point. I’m pretty convinced that women are proportionally more emotionally intelligent than men in some ways and that men are generally better at certain types of thinking, but it’s not an absolute. If I said my girlfriend has “feminine intuition,” it wouldn’t be because I think she’s dumb, it would be because she has certain abilities that I don’t have when it comes to people and intuition. Yeah I can definitely picture guys needing rematches lol

I don’t know. I don’t like those kinds of people, but if I had the opportunity maybe I’d have been like that. I’m happy where I am now, that’s what I’m trying to say I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 12:24 AM

Yeah if I knew what I know now (there’s a lot I don’t know) I’d be a completely different person That might not have all been good though
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/23 12:14 AM

To be fair, that intelligence manifests it differently I beat my fiancée every time we play chess without much effort, but she can pick up on things in my behaviour I don’t notice myself, or with other people

I like the idea of being attractive to women, but really I hate that I was a skinny, shy weak kid growing up. I don’t want to be that and I don’t want my kids to be that. Most of my physique gains have been during my relationship with my fiancée
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/23 11:36 PM

Yes and no. Love can mean being attracted to someone, but it can also mean wanting what’s best for them. A ban can 109% be attracted to his wife and have sex with other women, but he truly doesn’t love her because it’s not what’s best for her and their marriage.

Ok but why do some women do casual hookup after casual hookup? If they didn’t enjoy it on some level they wouldn’t
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 08:37 PM

I don’t believe in casual sex and have no experience with it, but if women don’t like that, why do they participate? You can just choose to not have casual sex.

My point is that a lot of what drives attraction is amoral, so a lot of how relationships work is amoral by extension. Obviously I think we should not be amoral, but as you said, that’s independent of the consequences. Realistically if you’re only “good” because you want sex you’re not good at all. I want to be a good person because those are the people I respect, but I don’t expect women to swoon over me because of that

All I’m saying is there’s a difference. I’m Christian so I don’t agree with redpill conclusions, but a lot of comments people make ignore the difference. Washing dishes is something you should do because it’s good, not because you expect sex out of it. But blue pill stuff creates the false impression that being a good person is always going to benefit you

People use each other for what they want sometimes unfortunately

I’m aware, I grew up with my dad paying child support, etc. I’d rather take my chances than not act. If I keep my commitment and my fiancée doesn’t, that’s on her and I still come out of it an honourable person.

You don’t need to have sex with people to know how they work. Most of my family and family friends went through divorces, cheating, etc you can learn from people around you and what they go through All aside from the fact that I’ve dated and am engaged
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 03:50 PM

Sure, but if the arousal wasn’t there, it won’t change that So men shouldn’t do dishes because they think it will make their wives want them
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 03:17 PM
6

Obviously But my point is that being a “good guy” doesn’t equate to sexual attraction
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 03:16 PM
7

I agree with you. I’m Christian and don’t believe in sex outside of marriage so I can’t ever be 100% redoill, but a lot of their ideas are true in my experience
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 03:15 PM

Put another way, washing dishes might make a woman happy but it doesn’t mean you’re arousing her
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 02:57 PM

That’s kind of my point though. The whole “women like dark triad guys because they’re attractive for other reasons” doesn’t change the fact that women are often sexually attracted to people with dark triad qualities. I think men typically find pro-social behaviour attractive, not anti-social or dark triad stuff.

When I call my fiancée beautiful it’s because she’s beautiful to me. Sometimes she has no makeup on at all and she’s so pretty to me that I think she put on a lot. I think that’s a more genuine and meaningful compliment than complimenting her makeup, which I don’t care about. Nobody cares about the male 90 day sperm cycle or beard care, idk why I should care about periods or how women do their hair.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 02:20 PM

No not at all
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 01:44 PM
2

I get what you’re saying, but I’d expect the dark triad traits to outweigh the good. I’m agnostic on the issue but it’s striking that they’re rated as more attractive and not as less attractive even if they have other good qualities
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/23 01:32 PM

I don’t really care, but if you said this about black people, it would come across badly, y wouldn’t it? “The only black guy I dated was awful so maybe he was compensating.” And yet height is no more a choice than race.

When women do those things nobody is critical though
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/23 11:53 PM

Insecurity usually means you’re not comfortable about yourself. Jealousy doesn’t necessarily mean that. People don’t always cheat because there’s something wrong with the person being cheated on, it’s often an accident because of circumstances. Jealousy involves being aware of that and limiting it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 03:22 PM

This is one of the most insightful comments I’ve read tbh Calling all forms of jealousy insecure always bothered me and now I understand why
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 03:21 PM

Yeah it’s not insecure to have trust issues if everyone in your close family got divorced at least once lol
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/23 03:18 PM

I agree in that I don’t want to be someone’s second choice, but it’s not really shaming to state facts. Shaming isn’t just questioning preferences it’s saying you’re bad for having them.

Call me immature but I’d rather be single than in that situation.
