Hey man thank you so much for your response. That's really helpful to hear. I think she's undiagnosed BPD. She's got a lot of the tells. I didn't know that going into it, and my last wife was an addict so I wasn't the best judge of character. This seemed so much better on the surface. So like I've been doing RP stuff and self development, but I think it only works so much because of either bipolar or bpd. Great call on that, and thanks for the insight it makes me feel not as crazy

Thinking I'll have the keyboard out and ready to go at the first sign of her sneezing next time.

Died. Nah she did a complete 180 after I didn't feed in and was super sweet and ended up giving me a bj the next morning

Me: 35, Married 2 years. No Kids. Stats: 5'11, 203 lbs, 14% bf (Everyone on here tells me 20%, that's fine. I'm going by my hand grip tester and seeing the change. Point is I dropped 10-15% BF in the past 1 1/2 and I'm still working on it). Hired a nutritionist because I dropped 70 and plateaued, so he's got me eating more for about 3 weeks to shock my system out of starvation and start bringing me back down. Believe it or not I dropped a half-pound eating double so the guys legit and he's a for…

Open answer is that I was taking the responsibility for it as being the man. The belief being, "If she's acting like this, it must be in response to me or my failure as a man" in some way. Then taking the "stay plan is the go plan" to heart and seeing what I can do on my end first. My biggest challenge is knowing what's mine to fix vs whats based on wrong partner selection, and then not wanting to break up with someone only to repeat my own mistakes again with someone different.

I'm going by the hand grip measurement I have. Not trying to lie to a bunch of assholes on the internet. The point is I dropped 70 and lost at least 10-15% body fat. And I'm not stopping.

Thank you. I'm asking so I can work on this. It's hard to see my own shit when I'm in it. In what way specifically do I sound like a woman so I can handle that?

100%, thank you.

Really good comment man and thank you for that. I'm starting to "notice" myself in these moments and I'm aware of that shadow self like what you're saying now when I used to not be. I'm starting to see how I'm showing up as every day as just conditioning, and there's a me underneath that that just wants to shed that off like an old snake skin if that makes sense. Thanks for your input

Thanks for the help man. I'm posting in OYS now, maybe I'll just stick to there for now.

It resolved itself, I just tried being as non-reactive as possible, didn't escalate, and eventually she came in the room one last time and was being nice and asked if I needed any water before bed and gave me a hug

The split I'm following does a 4-7 Rep Range on some days and a 12 Rep Range on others, it's split weekly. And could be, I'm going by a hand gripper that measures BF% and I go based off of trends. Just hired a body builder dietician to get me down even more

Not looking for validation if she's the crazy one or not. Asking if I was handling the STFU part and not falling into arguments when I got home or if I'm way off base.

Okay cool I will, I'll make the edit. Quick question, do I post weight and lifts with every post and questions? Or just on OYS?

Related question - how do you handle it when she'll start touching you or playing with you or start blowing you and then suddenly have no intention on finishing? She'll start stuff she has no intent on finishing and then act confused as to why I thought it would end anywhere

OYS #01: First day doing this. Found the subreddit 2 years ago, wasn't a regular but read the sidebar and thought I could do some stuff on my own. Made some progress personally but it wasn't nearly enough and now I realize I need to go all the way. Stats: 35, Married w/ no kids. 5’11”,204lbs, 14% BF; Goal is 195 at 10% Bodyfat with Classic V-Taper, hired a trainer last week for that. Well, I didn't know to what extent it was me and what extent it was her being totally shut down in general, so I took it as "if I don't figure it out here, I'll keep repeating this cycle even with a new girl, so better work on my side of the street first and see what happens"

Thanks man I'll work on that. I'm going to start doing OYS regularly

That's your opinion, you have no idea the internal shift that's happened inside of me. I was absolutely pathetic internally and externally. Everything I've changed externally is because of an internal change. I'm just not 100% of the way there yet.

Yeah man, good point. I was new to all this two years ago when I was really bad and desperate, found the subreddit, saw the book section, and kind of went off on my own reading a bunch of books and thinking I could do it on my own, but that wasn't enough. I'm going to finish the job now.

Hey thanks again man. I'm here to own my own stuff. I'm not claiming victim here. Just stating the facts of my situation, and that I've been having a hard time with what to do next specifically. Definately not seeking approval or validation. Most of my time is spent building my side hustles and mission. I'm going to implement everything I'm reading here.

Thanks for the response man. I've tried doing this on my own for a while just by reading and trying to do my own work but obviously it hasn't been enough. That's why I'm here posting now. Thanks for the feedback

This is exactly to a T my girl. I've been doing MRP for 2 years because I wanted to fix myself first, and you just described her

Hey man thanks for this subreddit and thanks for the response. That was actually me, I grew up, my dad was weak, mom was domineering, ended up in a beta marriage that sucked. Ended up divorcing her finally and completely turned my life around for the better in every imaginable way. So it is possible, just takes a loooot of work and honesty with yourself
