Honest question: Why is she your room mate? You may be hurting all your chances just by association, if she is as you describe her.

Hmmm. I don't know if I could ever not be emotionally involved, as that is part of the thrill....I just don't forget what's important, and how AWALT. Everything is easier when you know the rules of the game. That does not mean you are always going to win, and for me it sure does not mean that I don't get caught up in the emotion of the game - I just remember that it is a game, that's all.

You're angry now. You won't be angry all the time. You'll come to accept and understand that what is said never matters. Actions matter.

Delete it. Stop wasting your time talking about the MRM and just start doing. What you say does not matter near as much as what you do.

Your analysis is absolutely wrong. Look up the Australian model. Political engagement is much higher with mandatory voting. Doing it electronically would be the next logical step, as it would add convenience.

Education has always been paramount to creating an maintaining the state. Participatory democracy exists because there is an informed electorate. On a side note, voting should be mandatory, like the Australia - as long as 'none of the above' is one of the choices. I fail to see the objections to the curriculum, however. What is wrong with teaching kids instead of having them grow up with a warped sense of things from the internet?

Same thing with piercings, ear plugs, etc. You want 'em, get 'em. If that affects your job prospects you have to deal with it. Just do it (or don't) for no other reasons than your own.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
