Since I've been following TRP there have intermittently been comments/posts about tattoos and I'd like to try and clear a few things up about them. While as I have stated previously I have tattoos, I will be as unbiased and objective as possible when discussing this.

One of the points raised is Good luck getting a real job with your tattoos. Now if you know the industry you want to work in and know what stigmas (if any) there are against tattoos then you should also know where you can and can't get a tattoo. For instance, I have 7 and if I were to wear business attire you wouldn't be able to see any of them. With that in mind, I wouldn't want to hire anyone with a face/neck tattoo either. Or of course if it was something very lewd (like a tattoo of a middle finger on their forearm). If you have a Fuck the world tattoo on your hand and you're wondering Why won't anyone hire me? They need to stop judging people with tattoos! Go fucking cry about it on Tumblr or some shit with the other hamsters if you're that ignorant.

You only do it for the attention to seem edgy or [some other adjective]! Why don't you [insert some activity here] instead? Yes, you must be correct my Green Lantern tattoo is solely for all the attention it brings. You know all the bitches love green lantern. Can you hear the sarcasm yet? I work out (admittedly not as much as I should), I read, I have hobbies, I go out with friends. GASP There's probably not a whole lot much difference in the general scheme of things (except I did fence in high school and some of college). What I'm getting at is I didn't get these tattoos for you, I didn't get them for girls, I got them for me. I like them Quite frankly I couldn't care if you like them. As a by product of my tattoos, there are girls that are attracted to them and it has been a starter of conversations (especially if she has a few too) but that's not my purpose for getting them. That's like saying you work out to land women, and if you do, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. There are people out there like that. Just like there are some dudes who get tattoos to be more "edgy" but in both categories they are not all like that. Most people work out because they enjoy being in shape and most guys get tattoos because they enjoy tattoos, any women that come from those facets are merely a byproduct of what you enjoy.

Lastly, Having tattoos does not make you "more Alpha". Not having tattoos doesn't make you "more Alpha" I cannot stress that enough. I see a lot of hamstering back and forth. When it comes down to it, it doesn't fucking matter. From all my experience the only people who seem to bitch about tattoos are guys though. Trying to hamster that they're better than someone else because they don't have any tattoos. Guess what? You're not. And guess what? I'm not better than you because I have tattoos. The fact of the matter is, if you're trying to tear a dude down for having/not having tattoos than you're no better than women who shame and stab each other in the back trying to make themselves look better by making someone else look worse.
