If you're holding a drink just make eye contact and say "cheers!" while raising your glass to toast them. Honestly, I don't know an easier opener than this one. Ay that's actually really solid, I'm definitely gonna use this next time. You don't just randomly use push-pull or any other seduction method. It’s like learning a great joke but telling it at the worst possible moment, then complaining that the joke isn't funny. The girl needs to be in the "vibing" stage first. Remember the flow: Opener…

Hey man, thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely look into the app since I really do need a solid way to track what I'm doing and where I can improve. Is it available on android or only IOS?

Yeah, they're super important for me. I need to do them to get in the right headspace since I work an analytical job and I'm by nature a very logical person (I get compared to Sheldon from BBT a lot) It takes a little bit to get into the right frame of mind for the more emotional/vibes based interactions so low pressure warmups are a great way to feel out the vibe of a place and settle myself into a flow. Plus, if it goes well I get to have anchor points I can go up to and chat with at any time …

Same. I honestly would have never been able to approach women or go out solo if it wasn't for the info people put here or the advice they give. There's something to be said about having a group of people who get it as well, especially when nobody else in your day to day life does

Oh yeah. Reframing going out as an adventure really helped me get over the anxiety. I love adventures, it's just the people that scared me and reframing it pretty much solved the problem immediately and now I look forward to going out

Probably lack of experience. I'm kinda running into all the problems in sequence. First it was major approach anxiety, now it's fumbling the conversation and no escalation and I'm sure there will be another problem after that. But we all gotta start somewhere

Yeah, I only just started going out middle of last year. I haven't gotten laid yet, but my ability to socialise has gone way beyond what I ever thought I could do. Can't wait to start seeing some success

Going out and actually practising was definitely the best thing I did. It's just getting over the first few times and figuring out that most people aren't that scary. Touching grass works

It's gotta be learnable, that's all I know. And I'm too stubborn to give up. The fact that I've been able to go from a shut in with horrible social anxiety (who may or may not have absolutely flunked his first job interview because he stuttered through the whole thing) to someone who can handle being in the city alone and just make new friends on the spot or banter with a pair of interviewers confidently, (how I got my current job) in only a year has upended pretty much everything I thought I kn…

This one is rough for people who aren't natural at yapping. But I found that a mix of practice and conversation theory helped me. You can get someone to continue what they're saying by repeating the last few words they said When people talk, you can choose from the who/what/why/how they offer to get more details Occasionally offer related experiences/opinions when you have them Also, just go up and talk to random people. It helps a lot. I'm still not great at talking to women, but I'll go up to …

If that was all there was to it, I'd be drowning in women. I've got my job, yeah, but I'm also a state athlete, I go to the gym, I'm building towards getting my dream car and I've been learning French for a couple of years. Discipline/passion isn't really an issue- it's probably the main reason I'm putting this much effort into my game. I saw something I wanted and I'm putting time and energy towards it

This is pretty helpful, thanks. I learn better with examples

I have no exposure to women in everyday life (I work, gym, sport) and I have no social circle.

I'm in a similar situation. 23 atm so still got time, but somewhere last year it hit me that I've spent so much time on academics and career that I didn't try and enjoy myself, and never picked up the social skills/confronted my social anxiety. It really made me feel like a looser for a while, but at some point we all have to get up off the floor and try. It doesn't mean you're guaranteed to win, but there's a certain satisfaction in just trying. Maybe it's just cope, but I'm genuinely enjoying …

Another beginner here, definitely not where I want to be yet, but diving into all this social calibration stuff has laid off massively elsewhere. I had a job interview recently and I absolutely aced it. A year ago I'd have stuttered my way through it and been supremely unconfident (anxiety sucks so much). I was genuinely surprised how easy it was to talk and build rapport with the guys interviewing me and I got the job within a few days. Going to the gym 5/7 days a week had me feeling pretty goo…

Yeah, it's one of my goals for this year. I completed last year's goals and this year I'm stepping it up. 2800m run in 12 minutes, 100kg bench press, podium finish in a national competition and improving my game to the point I can consistently vibe with any girl I want. It doesn't matter if they're realistic, all that matters is that I chase them

Definitely. It sucks that nobody I know is interested in this otherwise it would be easy

Hey man, could I grab a copy of those ways to beat approach anxiety? I have it pretty bad and I get in my own way a lot

I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. It feels pretty accurate to how I approach communication in general

That makes sense, how would I best go from here. I'm still interested in her, but not in an relationship. Not entirely sure how to get that to work tho

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
