Sorry but you’re wrong. Like I said before, a large portion of the issues regarding heroin are because of the decades long drug war. Think about it, if someone wants to try heroin, there are no proper legal guidelines to safe and proper usage. That’s why there are so many overdoses. Another thing is, heroin addiction is more destructive largely because of the social stigma around it. It is much easier for an alcoholic to seek help than a heroin addict due to legal issues.

Believe it or not, only about a quarter of first time heroin and fentanyl users become addicted. This whole notion of “every heroin user strung out on the alley corner going batshit insane for their next fix” is mostly fear mongering from bullshit organizations like DARE and Just say no. Most opioid users are not addicts and live healthy, normal lives.
