That's part of the issue I am having is that I am giving up MY happiness for the happiness of others. Trying to change that now, actively.

I'd actually like to hear about this.

If I've learned anything from TRP it's that you make your future based in your own decision. If you feel you need a break from you love life to improve your own then do it, nothing is holding you back except you.

Understood. What about bringing something with me as a "return gift" for the expensive dog treats they gave me?

Well normally, I'm walking the dog around 11pm-1am, when I can't sleep. They work nights (I'm hoping not a stripper of some sort), but I think the dinner idea COULD work if I can catch them in the middle of the afternoon or something.

Ah bear trap theory, I understand now. Getting them to understand you can control their emotions. Forcing an emotion on them to make them react.

They way she see it feels shady, also I dont EVER see her around the complex. And I am unsure if see someone in the complex is along the same lines as seeing someone at work, you just don't do it, too close to home type situation. While it would be interesting to bump into her again, apprehension leads me to believe that this is probably going to be a bad idea.

Read that, agreed. But, sticking into a LTR for the purpose of pussy doesn't sound like all its cracked up to be. And you cant state #7 without a caveat of this doesn't mean that they are somehow absolved of being the way they are. Just like any good dog, they can be trained as well. It may be in her nature to take a shit on the floor, but she can be trained to hold it until you take her for a walk. I understand the point you are making though. If I happen to find the unicorn, I will ensure she …

On average, I keep work at work. I keep school at school. There are a few locations I visit, and mostly at these locations there is a very...cliquish, groupish feeling to it. Normally, I tend to avoid these groups as most are not part of the group I would associate myself with. I think the next step is to find a new location where people my age would be present. Also at the age I am ate women seem to have children more often than not, which makes it difficult. Because that is certainly almost a …

First, like everyone is going to tell you, get a work out plan. But the reasoning behind it is never explain. First, when you look better, you feel better. When you set your mind to a task and accomplish it, you get this aura about you that increases your confidence, that is a great thing. I suggest GOING to a gym, instead of working out at home. When you do that you will develop a sched, and with that you will see the same people. Seeing them often it's easier to talk to them, first about worki…

I appreciate the response, and I can assure you I am very far from a "curl bro". I think the belief that she is actually interested in me is where I am failing. I don't honestly believe some of these better looking women with much more SMV than I have would be willing to go more then just the conversation, and then of course there is always the head-talk going on. The "was the that proper response", "did you screw this up?", etc. Walking into a group will take more practice, and normally in thos…

I guess what I mean is that, because AWALT I am EXPECTING them to do things, and when it happen it just confirms how shitty they will be in the future, so why pursue anything LTR if in the long run they are going to be just as bad as predicted?

What you are saying is not false. But making it seem as if someone with no outward energy or previous experience is going to just wander up to a women and magical make her panties drop by LOOKING good is misleading. Looking the part is step one, but acting properly to not turn her away the moment you open your mouth is an skill. He is giving information that will assist those who don't have confidence in that skill.

You are in control of this situation, but you are letting her pull the reins. You don't want her, she already has the "I'm going to fuck another guy" tendencies. Spin the plate, find another girl to get over your oneitis, and let her marry her "future husband" because that problem IS NOT yours.

So you are trying to pick up women while driving, in the 45 secs you have at a stop light probably isn't the most opportune time to attempt a pick up. And stopping next to random "hoe" on the street, what are you expecting for them to just jump in and start sucking your dick? Read up, GO OUT, and meet people. This 30 secs pick up strat is possible but definitely not the best approach. Get some confidence in yourself. The "fancy" car is the bait. If you aren't mentally strong enough to reel in th…

To answer those questions. I went for dinner on my own because like previously she hadn't done anything to indicate that the plans we made were actually in motion. E.G. no text, no phone call, no response, not even an excuse as to why she couldn't make it or that she was busy and going to be late (which she VERY much was). Looking back a little I think you are right, about the text, completely unnecessary but convey's the point very well. I think that was more as a reminder to me not to give the…

Being firm is good, constantly interrupting someone with "I'm right and here's why" is annoying. Having someone try to guess what your stance is on a matter is much better then just outwardly telling everyone what you think about everything. A filter exists between brain and mouth, this filter has a name, tact. You can tactfully tell someone they are wrong without coming off as argumentative or annoying. Nobody wants to hear the end of the book (the correct way/reason/explanation), but if you te…

She is clearly interested in you, at least by your description. If you are going to do it in person, a casual "Hey, I just realized I don't have your number..." while pulling out your phone. If over FB, then invite her to something (coffee, lunch, after school hang out session) preferably to a place she hasn't been to (create a new experience) and get her number in case she has trouble finding the place.

Unless I'm SUPER hung over, I normally dont "relax" for more then a few hours at a time. Made it a point to do something productive, even something simple as putting headphones in and going for a jog because I have nothing else to do today. Curbing "bad" habits are the hardest part of changing yourself. I still smoke to this day. One day I will get over it, but until I make a decision on a day when I will quit I will continue to hamster reasons why I do it. And be well aware of it.

Turn it into a strength, use it as a weapon. I like that. And not "young" just younger than some of them. There is a wide variety of women where I frequent and some of the younger (see: mid 20s) threaten the older crowd. I am old enough to fit into both categories as I'm not into my 30s yet but I'm getting up there. Maybe I should target places that have a younger crowd? But clubs are obnoxious now, I enjoy the occasional bar which is where most of these types of crowds go.

Let them hang themselves. If they are constantly looking like jerks, backhanded compliments and aggressive non-physical confrontations are them challenging your "right" to get the girl. They look like fools and will continue to do so as long as you hold frame.

When diverting like this 3-4 times some become persistent. Even if they guess correctly I normally tell them something along the line of well you are within 40 years so you are getting warmer. But the problem is often times (especially if they are older even slightly) they will attempt to use it as a pressure point. Qualifiers work sometimes telling them something like,"Oh, you are way too old for me" or something along those lines. I will try the "Let's save the job interview" approach next tim…

As someone who deals with angry OFTEN, some due to myself getting angry at situations and other because of mental reasons, medically. But nontheless anger is there. There is nothing to STOP YOU from getting angry. Its what you do with the anger that defines who and what you are. Look at it from a logical perspective, when you feel the rage coming on, ask yourself: What difference will it make if I get angry and irrational? Honestly if you are angry and make a rash decision, later you will most l…

While being married before is definately a glaring hole, so far it seems like the only one...is there something else I am missing. And just to clarify IF, and only IF, I decide to make plans to marry her, it would not be for a LONG time, years even.

While its not a favor, it is helpful. The circumstances would be better off for both of us. Editing for hampstering on my part while not actually answering the question. Answer: I have other options but for my situation this is a better situation then say moving in to a place alone and paying double/triple what I would be paying here. Also moving to a place that is further away from my job by such a large margin would be a worse but managable situation. So, yes it would someone what of a favor.

Agreed, if I move then the power shift cannot change. And I will be waiting to either confirm or deny the doubts in my mind. In the mean time, I guess my question is do I play the field?

She did in fact, explain that she was not okay with other women coming to her place of nesting, but unless we were in a relationship there was no harm done as long as they werent there. But, as my decision is, there would be no point in moving in with her if I have no intention of starting a relationship with her. So I guess the main decision I need to make with myself is if I'm ready to start one.

In weighing in on whether or not I'm doubtful, its more towards uncertainy due to inexperience. Being as I have never been in this situation before (moving in with someone that I might be considering a LTR with). She is going to be getting me, which is a plus for her obviously in her eyes. It just seems the power shift will go from my advantage to even, and im not sure I want that to happen yet. Logically, moving here is a good decision in every aspect except whether or not I'm ready to give up …

I also had to overcome my fear of strangers and even now I still feel myself fall into it if things aren't going my way. Go somewhere with the intent on doing something to random people, start with something simple. Go to a public place, with the intent of finding out X peoples name before you leave. Something as simple as introducing yourself can be helpful. Once you are comfortable with that, step it up a bit and see if you can find out more information about people. Once you are comfortable w…

Because I wanted to I guess, and she was sending pretty clear signs. I don't think it was a WRONG decision, but now if there WAS a chance of getting with her, I think I just told her no. Which is easily fixable, just tell her I dont think it would have been a good idea for her to take me home drunk and I would rather take her home sober. And I am guess she was acting on "that's mine" syndrome, vs actually make a play/pass at me.

Honestly, just the fact that I dont feel that way about her. Dont get me wrong she is not a bad person and I never implied she was. I am not looking for a heram of women, I came here to understand myself and for the ability to open myself to people better. Clearly its working. I would prefer someone who I have a better connection with. She is very mediocre in this aspect and lacking in other aspects. While she is physically attractive, this is not a woman I see myself staying with in the long ru…

Sound advice, had you have said this the first time I wouldnt be so opposed to doing it. The problem I am referring to is how emotional invested she is becoming to me, and me to the child. If we are excluding the entire section of sleeping with a co-worker who is a single parent, then the only real problem is the emotion she is catching oneitis, while I dont return the feelings. And this can get messy during break-up.

First off, I have no problem admitting my mistakes, I have above, and clearly you might, as your problem seems to be with reading. Secondly, If you are going to comment with no actual advice, then you can do us all a favor and remove yourself from the thread, you are nothing but a determent to everyone and a collasal waste of time. I don't think you are screwing a single parent co-worker, BUT I digress I've given the wrong signals to this man but just like the attention. So you led him on and now are not liking the consequences? Clearly he has already lost your interest, are/were you seeing him outside of the coffee shop? If not, CHANGE COFFEE SHOPS...I'm sure he will get the hint.

Well I can only go off the gospel she spill out. Unfortunately, I'm the untrustworthy type peeking away at her diary one morning looking for an out, only to find out she doesnt know how to confess her undying love to me.

Yeah and thanks my biggest problem right now. I dont want him to see me as DAD I want him to see me as "Intimid8d". Yeah I know I have some attachment but I think that was her ploy to keep me around and now its started to take its toll. I usually only stay with her 2-3 times a week.

I might have to try this, I mean her physical attraction to me will most likely still be there, as she will be still seeing me almost every day at work. But at least this will have been a dodged bullet.
