Very much agree. By nature, I'm not a cheater. I'm wholly uninterested in entertaining multiple men, but my ex used to be convinced I was cheating. Come to find out, he was.

When I left my abuser, I was so lost. I didn’t know anything about myself and I felt so afraid to even live. It took me months just to feel safe in my own mind and body again. Fuck anyone or anything that wants to take that away from me again. You’re so right in this.

We’re all going to line up at your door to clone this unicorn man. Lol congratulations sis. Where’d you find him!

Thank you for sound advice. It’s what I’m here for. Not judgment and side eyes. Lol

Ms. Tilly, I would never. I can safely say I'm 100% over him. I was over him long before it ended, I just had to adjust my habits. I don't think he has the capacity to feel guilt, and I don't think he ever loved me. He loved what I did for him. It IS tax time, afterall. :)

Right, this fool. The only thing stopping me from using his ass for these things is that would mean I actually have to talk to him, and there's no amount of money that is worth the headache. LOL

Whoooooa. Hold up there. First, I'm not in "the hole" at all. I'm a successful doctor who takes very good care of my child, both financially and emotionally. Second, I'm not entertaining anything, I've not responded to him in months. I'm also not "secretly ecstatic." I never claimed that he was courting me, or even considering going back. You don't know anything about me, but trust me, I know I'm a "grown woman." The patients in the office I own and operate could attest to that. You seem awfully…

Exactly! I go "Uh, I have a career. You should try it." and just rolled my eyes. Ignorant.

I matched with this guy who, at 10:00pm on a Tuesday, asked me "what's your evening looking like? I'd love to meet for a quick drink." Like, what? Unmatch.

Old habits die hard, I did feel bad at first, but not bad enough to pass up this really beautiful cashmere cowl neck sweater. LOL

I definitely spent my lunch break shopping. Nothing be bought was my style, but I had plenty of fun picking out things on his dime. lol

In one of his texts he says something like "next month I'll budget for new workout clothes" because the stuff he bought is all professional attire. I'm thinking okay, you do that, idiot.

I exchanged ALL of them, got a store credit and spent it on stuff I actually like that will fit my body. Still ignoring his texts...

Should you not put it out there in the beginning that you're looking for something serious?

I’m definitely looking into joining a club or something. Learning something new while opening my pool up a bit. I’m a doctor who owns my practice, so no men to meet there unless it’s my 60+ year old janitor. He is super sweet... wait... not that horny. Lol

So true. I totally liked the polygamous man too until he broke it to me that I would forever be a side chick who may or may not even see him once a week. Then he got butt hurt when I told him he’s one of the most selfish human beings I’ve ever met. Hey, I call it like I see it.

Oh that’s awesome. I think I have a pretty good one too. I’m definitely not crying in a corner because men suck.

I spent 4 years giving him money to buy my gifts, and being put down when I didn't have enough money to give him to get me something more.

Same. It will take an act of God to ever get me to marry someone again. A man so amazing he lights up the entire world when he walks in the room.

I get that, I've been single for a long time. I'm a totally whole person without anyone. Hobbies, friends, blah blah... but I don't think it hurts to be honest and say "I'd like to have a partner."

But with a solid education and experience, you can go anywhere with that career.

So true. I'm a single mother now after being a forever girlfriend to my last manchild and whereas I thought life would be harder, it's infinitely easier and more relaxed.

Had a relationship like this before, and will never have a relationship like this again. Not sure why people think it's funny when women do everything and men do nothing.

What do you use then? I've deleted tinder myself. It was awful

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
