To be fair relationships have killed my happiness but it's made me want better for myself rather than making it easier for men to use me

Yeah it's gotta be higher than 1 in 10 men. So many women don't come forward because of the bullshit justice system. Also every time I see a meme for men who bully their partners for sex being rapey then so many people start denying it's rapey. It feels like the good guys are in the minority. I've been emotionally abused by several partners, physically by two, sexually coerced by half of the men I've dated. The only decent guy I was with cheated lol

It's ok. It's just that when we split he told me I was a useless waste of space who did nothing the entire time we were together. Even though I was at college for some of it, had a job for some of it and was a stay at home mum for some of it. He subtly made me feel that way whilst we were together I just didn't realise. I couldn't understand why I was so unhappy when I had this 'amazing man.'

Maybe he was nervous. I'd probably try talking about it and see if it improves. I've definitely had sex with guys before who were terrible the first time but improved. If it was that traumatic though it's not terrible if you don't think you can stay.

My ex used to cook, because I sucked at it and I thought that was top quality man. I didn't have a job because I was struggling with depression/migraines and didn't know I was autistic back then. When we had a baby though I sort of gave myself a break in that I had a job finally and didn't fail as a person anymore. But my ex would do things like come home from work and have a nap. I'd never have nap time. He'd also fall asleep magically when it was baby bedtime. Then after ages of getting the ba…

I hear ya. I've been single 9 months. Been working on myself and it's really helping a lot. I'm feeling a lot more confident about myself. Just be careful because guys like this will sometimes pop back up in your life when they're bored and need someone. Block his ass and don't look back

His whole song for the video she was in was messed up too. "Don't break my heart or I'll break your heart shaped glasses." I remember him having an interview about that video too and saying how he's effing her and she's 18. When she spoke about her abuse I knew it was him. I used to like his music a long time ago when I was 18 myself. What's even weirder is he fired his bassist because of rape allegations. What a hypocrite

I do like Daniel Sloss but he's a little bit anti relationship and seems to be a player. Like I get the feeling he says anything to get sex. Might just be his old stuff. I do agree with the anti relationship but he sounded like dating women was how we view dating men on this board and that they nag him

I'm also surrounded by narcissists. I was raised by one and I've dated at least 3 back to back. When I started to work on my self esteem I realised people around me weren't helping, they were making it worse. Then realised how many toxic people I have in my life. No wonder I felt crap. If you're being abused by one then go to another and they say you're overreacting too, it's hard to know what's real and what isn't

Your comment hit me so hard I'm not completely sure whether you're like an ex of mine trolling me. Pretty much everything you said has been true for me. I thought I couldn't talk to a guy without him falling for me. I felt like I had some magic powers. Guys were so obsessed. I've never done OLD cos I never needed to. They were lining up. But they were all NVM/LVM. Of course it was easy to appeal to the losers. I thought I was better at talking to men because whenever I tried to talk to women it …

I'm in multiple groups now where women are avoiding men. I'm in lgbtqia groups where most people are avoiding cishet men. I feel like it's starting to turn. Most of the mums in my old baby group ended up splitting. It's common to see someone have a baby on fb then a year later they're being really positive about themselves and you see they ditched the man.

Well he wrapped it up and that was my gift. I'm 8 months single from an emotionally abusive relationship and I've been through this. I would imagine what I'd say if he popped up. I've saved memes that are comebacks for him. I've talked to friends about what I'd love to say to him. I don't want him back, I don't care if he gets covid or something like that, I'm not upset over losing him. But I'm mad that he did that to me. That's what I've held on to. If he did come back, though I doubt he will, I've already decided I'm leaving it unread. …

I used to like BDSM, but now since my eyes have opened I'm wondering if it was a way for me to mentally cope with not liking the sex I was getting with LVM. Like I wasn't emotionally happy with them. But with BDSM I could pretend it didn't matter how I felt. Not that I've been able to explore true BDSM. But I gotta say that there are people who are into it and the feelings of euphoria you can get from it who aren't dealing with trauma. I just personally at this point can't deal with giving a man…

Then these assholes can't even get a christmas present on time. Like I've seen all these posts on FB of women tagging their husbands and laughing. But why are they laughing? Yeah I find in the support groups there's a lot of people who are still sort of 'why is he doing this?' when the answer is because he's a narcissist. It's hard seeing people staying and trying to fix it. Like they're in a dream about what's is going on

I've been with narcissists, at least two in a row. 7 months free from one currently. They make you physically ill. I also have an autoimmune disease now. Since leaving, after the initial pain, I've been feeling a lot better with my health. Not completely better but I have so much more motivation to get my life together without him draining my time and energy. I also ended up giving back what I got and it's made me worry I'm a narcissist. Even when the relationship was shit, leaving was so painfu…

I'm bad at making friends and have relied on men I'm dating to be my friend. It's made it so much harder to leave each time. Now I'm single with no real life friends only online. It made it feel so much worse going from having a boyfriend to nobody

yeah definitely. I'd hate to have stayed with my ex husband until he died then realised how much happier I was without him. At least I can still do things now

I remember getting excited by a dick that gets hard by itself and not my ex who would pester me for sex then too limp to get it in. Then make me jerk him off for 40 minutes and it not working, then him like 'you look unhappy'. No shit my arm hurts. Though hard dick guy was also no foreplay guy unfortunately and thought I should get excited by looking at him excited

Same. I used to be obsessed with sex. I was so horny. Then after all the sex I've had it's like I don't think I've ever had good sex. These guys will be all like acting as if their dick is a gift but it causes more pain than pleasure. I'd rather stick with the fantasy

My ex husband seemed like a catch when I got with him. He listened, he was clean, he was in touch with his feminine side. I didn't realise he was subtly emotionally abusing me. I felt like such a piece of shit. Like he was this amazing husband and I was failing, because the guilt I got from him was crushing me. I didn't have a job and he would always refer to our money as his money or 'I've bought you something'. I felt like the weak link in the relationship. Then as soon as we had a kid, which …

Strangely though my mum did tell me this stuff. She said men only want sex and that they're dangerous. But she got with my dad aged 16 and has been married the whole time. My dad is really nice and not a LVM at all. So I thought maybe she just had a chip on her shoulder. I also thought that as long as I get with a guy who wants a relationship then he doesn't just want sex. I was very naive.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/11/20 02:49 PM

Yeah one of my ex's would never tell me what he wanted to do. He'd make me make the decisions and then get annoyed when I chose something he didn't like. Though I suspect now it was on purpose. I can't say much on facial expressions since I'm autistic

I want to be attracted to not men. I'm demisexual and never had the chance to develop any feelings for anyone other than a man. Mostly because men are persistent and they've always been sniffing around. So that's what I've ended up with. Once this lockdown ends I want to try to get to know some women and non binary people to see if I could date them. Because otherwise I refuse to date men again and I will be alone rather than with a man

I'm going through divorce at the moment and my kids dad loves to threaten to go for custody every time things don't go his way. He loves to play the victim. Saying how much he misses his child. Then books a trip away for Christmas so he doesn't have to see him. Before he had a gf he was saying he wanted less custody but since he's with her suddenly he's asking to see his son extra. He told me it was her idea. I think he cares more about his money than his child.

Mine was also a covert narc. He would play games all day too and ignore me. And same actions were that he didn't care but words were that he loved me. Would forget to send me cards. Said he didn't realise I was into it or that it was lost in the mail. Any excuses but always letting me down. Seemed to have a lot of trouble getting time off to see me too. Sounds like the same guy

I struggle with this too. I feel like such a fool for not realising. That's been the hardest thing to get over. But the important thing is this is a lesson you've learned now and you're better prepared for the future. I'm 40 and only just learned it

This guy sounds exactly like my ex who I wasted 3 years on. We were also long distance and he's in the navy. He would also miss video chats with me and mess me around. It took me a while to realise all his actions were him not caring about me. He never took my feelings into account and I couldn't figure out why it was so hard for him to take the time to consider me when he made plans. He just did what he wanted and I was an after thought. Luckily I knew with my ex husband but argh we couldn't go anywhere without his tongue hanging out when he saw a hot woman. Sometimes even 18 year olds. I just wanna clear some things up here cos I think there's some misconceptions flying around. Asexuality means not finding people attractive at all and demi is only finding people attractive who you have clicked with. It's nothing to do with sex drive, although some asexuals/demis are sex repulsed. For Asexuals and demi's it means not looking at Chris Hemsworth and thinking 'mmmm he's nice'. Here in UK, joining the military isn't as popular with everyone. It's more of a 'why would you do that to yourself' reaction here. I dated a guy in the US Navy and everyone was telling him 'thanks for your service'. When he literally did nothing. He just cleaned. He was a loser so military was the only way for him to get anywhere and even then I think he's still going to blow it because he won't put in the work. Men can never understand because they don't meet up with a woman thinking 'am I going to be safe?' They're too busy thinking about their dicks.
