As a frequenter of r/pickup, let me just put this out here: r/pickup is another seduction community. We're focused on game skills but also focused on HAVING FUN and generating high-quality advice. Since she's cheated on you, I would only ever hit that. Never ever would I try to get back into a relationship with that. There's nothing wrong with using her IMO if she fucked you over, other than the fact that she may be really hurt by you using her and then try to ruin your reputation. BTW, the biggest tip I ever got about the Opener --> Middle Game transition was from "The Natural" by Richard La Ruina. He said that at first, you should be doing most of the talking. She doesn't know you, so by talking for most of the time you're taking the pressure off of her while also giving her a chance to assess you before she commits to the interaction. Okay, since some people were asking for a more in-depth description of the encounter, here it is. I'll skip the part with the older guy. Hmm. How good are you with reading people? If you try and probe her, asking what's going on then you can usually get a good feel for whether she's disinterested or if something's actually bothering her. Like I said, this only works if you're good at reading people.

The key with "bus game" is to understand she'll be on her guard. There are ALL KINDS of creeps on the bus, and you have to quickly distinguish yourself from those creepy people. Thus I don't think direct game was a good idea - but it seemed to work okay for you. Just make sure you remember her name and talk to her again the next ride! You can for sure get her number.
