Well it's one example of a father trying to keep the kids safe. There are different scenarios for men trying to keep themselves safe. Men trying navigate a divorce face many different experiences depending on how their ex chooses to fuck them around. That creates different paths a divorce can follow. I think it'd be more emotionally evocative as a flow chart because the crossroads have many certain results. It's like Twenty Questions only the answer is almost always something that'll fuck a dude…

I originally thought "Good. Eat poo you hypocrites." I figured unisex was the best course and was slightly relieved at the claim that they were planning that already. Instead of a male only space. Then again, I think male-only spaces are crucial, and I've lamented the fact that they've been almost comprehensively eliminated from our area of the world. I think they're a cool environment, with their own unique inhibition-releasing vibe that can do a lot for a person's social well-being. They're a …

Regardless if the child is more bonded with one parent over another, or if one parent works longer hours, or if the parent has emotional or substance abuse issues — there will be an equal split. Oh my god, you lying assholes. Every last one of you. I think he's a bit like Bill Burr in this respect. He does believe these things to a certain degree, but he's also aware of his reputation, and how he sounds to those who vehemently disagree, so he exaggerates wildly for comedic effect. It's a thing between himself, and the people who read him clearly. At the expense of those who take a less charitable view of his intentions. So yeah, it's definitely trolling in that sense. To me, it almost seems healthy. Just like how guys fuck with/ridicule ea…

The woman seems like a psycho killer, only this is her preferred method. When she gets off this, she'll probably do it again if she can. It was one sad guy, manipulated by one evil woman. This doesn't fit into some wider narrative. It's a single grim story. Unless I'm missing something crucial, I don't think this is worth turning into a big thing.

Sasha, to his credit, remained calm and let me handle it myself, although I’m sure if I’d just broken down sobbing he would’ve verbally skewered the dude. Sasha, like an adult, didn't join me in my childish tantrum. But I'm sure if I put on the waterworks, he'd have melted in my hands! I did break down once we got outside. I think arguing with people on the internet, despite how maligned it is by everyone, can be very critical in staying humble. the best way to get the right answer on the Internet is not to ask a question, it's to post the wrong answer. I feel like if I'm ever to clear any irrational cobwebs from my head, my best bet is to force myself to be confronted by dissent on a near-daily basis. Arguing points with strangers in comment sections has been the perfect tool for that. I've had my mind changed co…

Which is scary to see. If it can go so well undetected in others, can't help but wonder what's your own sacred cow. What do you do to weed them out? David McRaney, author of You Are Not So Smart says it's best to watch the times you feel righteously angry or passionate about anything; notice when you start seeing people as enemies, and try to talk yourself down from it. It's tricky, but the last thing I want is to wind up like Shives.

Yup, that's right. If you have any skepticism towards the concept or framing of "rape culture", you want to make it easier for men to rape women. Me, you, anyone. Who the fuck does he think he's persuading with that bullshit? Here's another wonderful nugget of wisdom: One of the most interesting phenomena surrounding the MRM is how many men will strenuously deny having ANY association with it, even while parroting its talking points. Meanwhile, in FSTA MRM #1 and Seriously to hell with the Mens …

Yeah, if they're going to measure winners and losers, it should be structured more like a race, not a tug-of-war. At least when you're in last place on a race, you can focus on your progression, and compete with yourself. It'd be ridiculous to just have a chart with winners on one side and losers on the other. Because really, in learning, we're all "losers" until we eventually "win", that is, we're all ignorant at least once until we're suddenly not.

Yeah I found myself a little worried. It sounds like she hasn't really come to see the debate itself differently. She just switched from "Women are super oppressed" to "Now I think Men are the oppressed ones!" I think there's a much more reasonable, less emotional, pity-based way to look at gender issues. And I think that has totally escaped her.

I might have my geography wrong, but I don't believe these places normally operate under the same nuclear family arrangement like we do here in the west. People bring water back to their community, not just their own husband, and kids. Also, they're not very specific, but they keep mentioning a tap, on the website. Meaning it's not just physical water they're providing, but the means to get it. Which again, is a community thing; it's part of the infrastructure, not just some ration.
/r/MensRights21/03/15 10:44 PM
6

I think the name is dumb. The water is going to ultimately wind up in the hands of everyone in their family. It's not like there's going to be all these lucky women sitting around hoarding jugs of water like "leave me alone. These are mine! The white people said so!!" I think the problem, and their proposed solution are perfectly fine. Water collection is exclusively a woman's issue over there. And to release them of that burden is a great idea for the whole community. They're just being clever …

I'm not saying it was perfectly reasonable to give the kid a full beatdown. But he should have known he was assaulting someone. That if he pulled that shit against a grown man, he'd absolutely be starting a fight. I think when you start a fight, you tacitly agree to its terms and service. That being "I hereby accept the distinct possibility that I've underestimated my oponent, and I'm going to get my ass kicked." I say the limit should be around severe injuries, mutilation, and death. But if som…

I don't really care about her assaulting the kid. He shouldn't have hit her to begin with, let alone come back for more. I wouldn't call a 14-year-old a child. What's aggravating is the fact that after she said this, during the Ray Rice controversy, she went on a series of tirades about how men must never hit women back, with any more force than is minimally necessary. Basically this: Men can defend themselves against violent women. But, it's their responsibility to keep in mind the fact that th…

That's because "Liberal" and "Conservative" are relative terms. Liberal, meaning: "Open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values." And Conservative, meaning: "holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion." Feminism has no novelty anymore. It's more than a century old, and hasn't changed fundamentally in too many ways. The "radical" ideas it spawns today are just strange permutations…

Reading those comments on the article, what a strangely tight-knit community. Everyone seems to know everyone else. It's weird. Surprisingly few (actually none, so far as I could see) people trying to rebut what the author had to say. Which is surprising. I'm not saying it's wrong. I'm saying it's not persuasive. It's just junk food we feed to our confirmation bias. If it can't influence people who don't already agree with it, it's worthless. I'm not looking to spend my days feeling congratulated and affirmed by other people.

My only issue is the fact that they didn't really ask "Teenage boys" as a group, they literally just asked 4 people. If they were willing to go that shallow, they could have just browsed the most popular voices in the MRM, and browsed their views on the division. I was really hoping this was a survey of many people. That way it'd at least have some weight. I totally agree with what the boys had to say, but this doesn't mean a thing to people don't happen to agree; it'd bounce off them like a gra…

It's relatively new, and for a long time it's been a bit of a niche. Those qualities are really all you need to make people nervous and suspicious. Add the fact that this niche has become more and more popular, that nervousness in a lot of people has grown into full-blown fear. We're primates. We fear that which we do not understand. And some people can make a huge name for themselves exploiting that fear.

Nice thing about being Canadian is I hardly have to worry about religious dipshits getting in the way of a treatment like this. They may raise a stink in America, but not here. "Would busniesses like Hobby Lobby object to them?" I couldn't care less!

How about instead of tribalisticly attacking people for being a part of one group or another, you look at what people say, and judge their statements based on merit. How does activity on a dating sub, women's fitness sub, and child-free sub act as proof that we're being brigaded by radical feminists? You're insane. I'm genuinely curious about how many women live in their parents' basement. I've honestly never heard of the loser woman living with their folks till they're 40. It has to exist, though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conflict_theories edit: this quotation in particular: The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles. Freeman and slave, patrician and plebeian, lord and serf, guild-master and journeyman, in a word, oppressor and oppressed, stood in constant opposition to one another, carried on an uninterrupted, now hidden, now open fight, a fight that each time ended, either in a revolutionary re-constitution of society at large, or in the common ru…

The guy I was replying to seemed to understand the difference. He said: I´ve seen so many people that post the most moronic anti-women bullshit in bloggs ( and yes , with anti women i mean anti the gender itself, not anti feminism) Which is probably why I left that caveat out. Most of what I've seen with MGTOW isn't male-separatist crazy people. It's been, like you said, men calmly opting-out. Unfortunately I don't save comments that I find shocking or offensive in order to show people later. So my evidence for this is anecdotal, sadly. But the rhetoric I've heard from a handful of MGTOWs has been surprisingly similar to the rhetoric you hear from female separatists. That sex and marriage has some conspiracy behind it, that it's bondage maliciously put in place by wom…

I consider myself a bit of a MGTOW. In that I am strongly opposed to getting married. I think at its heart the MGTOW movement is reasonable and pragmatic. However I have seen a few MGTOWs go overboard. Past "marriage is too much of a risk for me" to the land of "Women think they can control me with their pussies! All they want is to marry me so they can spend my money, and ultimately get a divorce and take half my life with them!" So yeah, a few MGTOWs are insane. Shouldn't surprise anyone.

It was constructive, thanks. I'm thinking about revising the whole misogynist paragraph. It's definitely where I've been getting the most criticism. I've heard of fire departments holding food banks and BBQs for the homeless. But I don't call fire departments the groups devoted to solving homelessness. It's great if they help, but if we went to homeless shelters and soup kitchens and said, "Woah, settle down! We don't need you here. The fire department's got this covered." We'd have a much larger homelessness problem on our hands. The fire department puts out fires. Feminism helps women (debatable). Any extra is a bonus, but these exceptions…

EDIT: Oops, we're both talking about different gamers. I don't mean videogamers. I'm talking about "game" as in seduction. Wow, that was adapted from a Typhon Blue article. Would have never guessed. It's in response to the idea that we must teach men not to rape. As if men are so naturally clumsy and malevolent, they just don't understand that on their own. Rapists don't just accidentally violently/coercively force someone into having sex. They're consciously predacious. You can't just wag your finger in their face, or whack them on the nose with a rolled up newspaper, and miraculously make them stop raping people. I think this gives a lot of credence to the idea that feminism is a bratty, adolescent social movement. And the nice thing about adolescence is there's always room to grow out of it.

I don't get this "second class citizen" shit. Separating 2 groups isn't inherently judgemental. It's not like they were made to hide in the basement. I agree it's moronic, but not oppressive. Second, she mentioned him not shaking her hand. Again, the guy sounds like a major asshole, but it's his business who he shakes hands with. The presence of a misogynist doesn't automatically place you in second class status. And the whole handing out pamphlets bit seems highly dubious. I wish they had a pic…

This sounds just like the other stories you hear about, usually involving mothers. I'm guessing the dad was some jealous, petty, entitled shitbag who couldn't see someone else in possession of his kid, so he decided to kill it, and himself. This isn't a reasonable response to anything, and I'm kinda glad it was a male so we don't have to hear another case of someone this evil getting excuses made on their behalf. If there's a silver lining here, it's the fact that when this happens again, and it…

I never accused you of being a feminist. Nor did I bring up a conspiracy. Or even allude to any sort of enemy of mine. You just took the last thing I said and basically did a "I know you are, but what am I?" And then you deflected my response from yourself, to "the feminists". Believe me, that was just to you. Are you just trolling? Because that was the most childish thing I've ever encountered in an argument.
/r/MensRights21/12/13 04:49 AM

Yes, I too think "Intersections" are complete simplistic nonsense. I do care about poor people, but I don't look at suffering like it's a point system. The "marxist nonsense" people are referring to is this. They're not actually referring to marxism, or communism, or socialism necessarily. They're referring to the childish and stupid idea that everyone exists on this continuum between Oppressor and Oppressed. Black people, poor people, gay people, women, all have more magical "Oppression points"…
/r/MensRights21/12/13 04:34 AM
7

They're not, they never have. The point I've seen is as simple as this: Men, black or white, are more likely to face jail time than women, black or white. The sentencing disparity between men and women is larger than the sentencing disparity between blacks and whites. Why you've decided to separate black men, from white men, and focus entirely on "suffering" is beyond me.
/r/MensRights21/12/13 04:15 AM

These numbers control for the amount of men and women imprisoned as a whole. They look at the likelihood that you'll be imprisoned for a crime, rather than face lesser punishments. Women face a lesser likelihood that they'll receive jail time for their criminal actions than men, just as whites do compared to PoC. Stop making bad rebuttals, please.

Everyone has already taken quite a bit of time to respond to you in detail, so all I can see that's left to say is: You are stupid, and annoying. The problem is the only justification I can think of for double the sentence is vengeance, which is the last thing I would want my justice system adding to their list of considerations regarding law. I see a bit of this on our side too, sadly. I just recently watched this video by JohnTheOther where he's responding to a woman asking "Why do men think they get to weigh in on women's reproductive rights?" So you either believe…

Can we get something like this for the various forms of physical violence? I know I've heard it said a few times that men are greater victims of all/nearly all forms of physical violence, like mugging, sexual assault, homicide, etc. It'd be handy to have that information collected into a graphic so I can show people. edit: added "greater". Otherwise it would have been a pretty meaningless statement.

Yes, but remember, be careful: Paul is entirely above reproach when it comes to the way he treats people, and the way he looks. To claim his childish behavior makes him look like a dick is pure misandry. I do it all the time. It's stressful. Although the way Mark was talking to Paul wasn't much worse than my friends and I teasing each other in our free time. I did read that. Debating isn't about 2 opponents fighting for respect among themselves. It's about taking 2 ideas and pitting them against each other. Your concepts of respect don't apply here at all. Had Paul stood back and let Charles behave like a jackass, rather than joining in because "waah, he started it" He would have done a whole lot more to discredit Charles position.

Charles behaving like a douche is no excuse for Paul to do the same. I understand that Charles was also a bad debater, but it's irrelevant to what I said earlier. I'm far more disappointed in Paul because I know he's right, and had he kept it together, he really could have destroyed Charles' arguments. Paul could have done much better, and the MRM deserved a much better representation.

While I agreed with Paul on most of this, and I hate to sound like I'm tone-policing, I must say Paul made a total ass of himself in this. Specifically in the final unstructured portion of the debate. There is a major difference between being unapologetic and politically incorrect, and straight up mocking someone for stuttering. Personally, I like "grow up" It's gender neutral, and it has a clear, established meaning. Plus it applies to a lot of people these days. many people are starting to point out that we have tons and tons of "adults" behaving like children well into their twenties, and sometimes thirties. Acting like a stupid child is increasingly more prevalent. I think feminism is just a different incarnation of that.

I've often thought blatantly avoiding being alone with a woman, like on an elevator, to avoid the possibility of being falsely accused would be pretty powerful. I could imagine being in a woman's shoes, looking out an elevator door at a man politely waiting for the next one, and being informed it's for his own safety. As long as their reason is based on a theme, or an appearance, and not politics, I'm fine with it. If someone thinks having only men or women interacting with customers would be good for business, I think they have a right to run their business whichever way seems most effective. Yeah, women being primarily in charge of the education system has done wonders. Lower dropout rates for boys, higher enrolment in college and university, higher grades, fewer diagnoses of mental illness, ability to delay gratification has been improved tremendously, etc. Actually, hold on, the opposite of all of that is true. There are rights like the right to anonymity when charged with a sex crime, which men don't have. If a man is accused of rape, his name is released to the public, and too often their life is ruined. Guilty or not. Pre-conviction anonymity is the standard for everything else, and it's disgusting that it doesn't seem to apply here. The right to decide not to be a parent before a baby is born. I agree that #5 is a stretch, at least for an infographic. The claim that science is being corrupted by feminism is not something you can easily support with a few studies and some statistics, and putting it on this list would make everyone's life a bit more difficult in terms of being a resource in an argument. 7, however, is much less of a stretch. Individually, they're great, but as a whole, this campaign is guilty of framing rape as only male-perpetrated, and suffered only by females. He's questioning what we believe, that's healthy. Do you come to a discussion only to be agreed with? It offends you when others doubt you? There's a name for that: it's called confirmation bias. Confirmation bias is insidiously toxic. Look, someone made a general, unreferenced, uncited claim. He simply asked for citations…

Jesus, whitehat511 is simply being sceptical. How many times have we seen: "All I asked for was clarification and proof and these feminists over at (insert forum) bombarded me with downvotes! They're scared to back themselves up because they know they're wrong!" How is this any different, guys? I'm not saying the MRM has nothing it can prove, or that we're all scared of our own lack of evidence. I'm saying the opposite is true, which why this bugs me so much. Imagine someone shows up here and se…

My mother (currently single) is probably one of the most misandric people I know. I guess being in 2 failed marriages is enough for her to indict all men... except for my brother and I. Personally, I hate most people who try their hardest to stomp out jokes (I think jokes are excellent at taking negative situations and diminishing them through laughter. If your belief system is fuelled by a victim mentality, all it takes to prove yourself correct is to be bullied. "Women are all oppressed!" ---> egg on the online community by attacking videogames ---> trolls rear their ugly heads ---> screencap ---> "Look! My use of "-ism" pertains to "a tendency of behaviour, action or opinion belonging to a class or group of persons; the result of a doctrine, ideology, principle, or lack thereof" Two people, of any -ism, can disagree on an entire litany of things, but in order to legitimately maintain their qualification as a specific -ist, they need to believe in the core beliefs of that -ism. For example, One Marxist may hate grapes, while the other loves them; one may believe in corporal punishment for shitty…

Specifically which claims? I edited in a fifth paragraph. I'm guessing you were writing a reply at that time and didn't see it. The link there explains the whole lizard brain, dog brain, human brain thing. The racism bit came from a few places, not all specifically focussed on racism, just in-grouping. Then what's in yours? Keep in mind that when I say "Lizard brain" I'm talking about the silent, impulsive part that we don't consciously communicate with. The part that tells us shit stinks and that spiders are scary. It's also the cause of in-group biasing, something every person does. When you see someone of a different race, the first thing that happens in your brain is it says "Different! Be cautious!" or possibly even "Bad!". It's feminism. It's a system of beliefs. One system. If a feminist doesn't believe the core X's Y's and Z's of feminism, they're not a terribly good feminist, now are they? Patriarchy theory is definitely a core belief of feminism. You can't call stereotyping for an -ism, unless you're trying to argue that feminism is just a nebulous belief system that comes and goes and can be defined by anyone who identifies with it. If that really is the case, then why should anyone take it seriously? And loo…

Well, no, the point is to experience childbirth. Next, I'd like to see a procedure that makes women experience getting punched in the balls. edit: my point in the first bit is just that I disagree with the "pointless" bit. You can also rest a little easier knowing you're doing your part to avoid your confirmation bias. Thedarkhorse says it's like pointing out that men get breast cancer, but everyone knows that everyone could get AIDS. There's no misconception other than the fact that something has got us convinced that if there's a problem, women have it worse. I'm thoroughly sick of this shit.

It'd be nice if feminists would evolve into egalitarians. There already is an egalitarian movement. It actually pisses me off when feminism, the movement defined by it's focus on women's equality, tells everyone that "Feminism cares about men/homosexuals/transexuals/black people/physically disabled/martians too!" They have no business worrying about every other social group. The fact that they're trying to sink their fingers into every single social justice issue shows that even they understand …

I imagine Gilbert Gottfried or Doug Stanhope would get away with this. For two main reasons, 1) because it would be considered "mild" coming from them, and 2) they wouldn't put up with anyone's whining about it. Feminists would attack them and they'd probably say something like "Oh shut the fuck up you stupid cunts!!!!" and that'd be the end of it. The level of not-give-a-fuckery coming from those two is astronomical.

I don't think it's a trait specific to leftists, it's a trait specific to over-zealous fanatics. Regardless of what you believe, if you came to that belief through nothing more than your intense bias towards confirmation, then you're going to be intensely in favour of censorship. I wasn't talking about an actual marketplace. I was talking about the marketplace of ideas. Which is basically the idea that ideas and opinions should be freely exchanged, without anything getting in the way, like an actual freemarket setting. By blocking the entrance, and ordering Warren off the campus, these feminists are trying to spoil this free flow of information. Right, just googled the definition of consent and it uses terms like permission, or agreement, implying it involves two. So then I'm looking for a different word. What I mean when is, if someone is considered to have enough mental capacity to be held responsible for hitting someone while drunk, I don't see why they're not thought to have those same mental capacities while agreeing to have sex while drunk.

I'll keep note of this in my law class if ever the topic of rape comes up. Especially since I'm in Canada. It's a good point, though. What about sex and violence are different? Why can someone meaningfully consent to one while drunk, but not the other? Either we let drunk people get away with fistfights, or we stop putting men in jail for rape just because he had sex with a drunk woman. I'm sure we can all tell which of the two options is more reasonable.

That's what frustrates me. Why are we even focussing on women's opinions right now? It effects men only, women still have their birth control and with or without MBC they'll be fine. The only arguments I've really heard against MBC is: men can't be trusted to take it. Which is obviously absurd since if women don't trust men, they can just continue on their way with FBC. B. And feminists have a bad habit of completely removing all responsibility from rape victims, essentially equating them with brainless children. In all cases of victimization, people ask what the victims responsibility was in all of it, then suggest ways to avoid it in the future. That doesn't mean the victimizer isn't going to get punished, and it's not a condemnation of the victim. It's just what we do when bad things happen, we ask "why?" then "how do we avoid this?" I feel pretty lucky at this point to say that my first ever message on reddit was from her, and it's 1,200 words long, in response to one question, lol. It was kinda my crash-course into the MRM. I can really appreciate the time she puts into the movement, especially since she put in so much just for me.

Just flipping back through my Scientific American Mind, His Brain Her Brain issue. In the article Sex, Math and Scientific Achievement it basically points out that men are generally better with visuospatial skills (Math), and girls are generally better with verbal skills. It then goes on to say that one study pointed out that: those whose mathematical skills are stronger than their verbal ones said math and science courses were their favorites and were very likely to pursue degrees in those area…

WTF that would be insane. That's like not letting the athletic kids play sports until more art students give a shit about them.

I've never even considered that. It really could be that simple. But then, if it were, what would anyone have to complain about? It's starting to seem like we don't like the explanations that don't allow us to whine.

Anyone notice in number five: when it's a woman clamouring for a man, she's oppressed and is a slave to the PATRIARCHY!!!1!1!11!!1111111. When it's a man clamouring for a woman, he's a stalker. How she doesn't recognise the glaring double-standard is astounding. Also, she's a great big cowardly douche for always disabling/filtering comments.

I went there, they changed it to "don't be an ass" butt they're not off the hook because Wheaton's Law states "DON'T BE A DICK". So fuck em, they're still jerks. At least in their rule making skills.

I don't fucking get how you can act that viscously towards someone complaining about their hard life just because they're male. That's evil. When did this vitriolic hysteria become ok? If a feminist can't wrap their shrunken little head around the idea that a man can also feel depressed, maybe the statistic that shows men are the staggering majority of suicide victims will straighten them out. Honestly though, how do some people allow themselves to treat others like that?

From about 2009 to this year, I spent a lot of time focussing on relgion. I tried my hardest to make sure I stayed unbiased, and eventually, through rigorous scepticism and research, came to my own conclusions. I'm proud of all the time I spent, and later this year, I decided my next journey would be looking into gender studies. Again, it was the same deal, subscribe to both sides, listen to their perspectives, see how it all pans out. But after seeing this, and realising how incredibly fucking …

I think adopting the label "egalitarian" is a lot easier than adopting "I'm a feminist, but I also fully acknowledge men's issues as well."

I'm about a day late, but if we're on the topic of cool dads, The King of Random is pretty awesome. He's got a series called RandomWeekendProject and he makes a lot of cool and fun shit, which he often gets his son involved in. He's made stuff like water balloon blasters and gigantic magnifying glasses that can melt pennies.

Reminds me of Beyoncé's "Run The World" music video where there's her and a bunch of background dancers all dressed up very slutty. When I watched that I thought, "Fuck, Beyoncé, if you run the damn, world, why the fuck aren't you dressed in army fatigues, construction outfits, business suits, overalls, chef hats etc? Stripers don't run shit, idiot!"

This is the fucking problem with Youtube's reporting policy; it's all automated. Any sensible human with a fucking brain can see this video is in no way malicious. Yet all it takes is a few complaints and it's shut down. This gives way too much power to bullies bent on censoring those they don't like.

If I were competent enough to download that video I'd make sure to keep it saved so it doesn't disappear. I hope there's plenty of people on that.

Is there a feminist news source that doesn't resort to ad-hom attacks every time someone disagrees with them? Not rhetorical, I'm honestly interested in listening to what feminists have to say as long as they'd stop being douchebags.

I'd be interested in knowing how long a sentence one gets if they beat a man. If it's shorter than if you beat a dog, then we have a case of animals being valued higher than humans, if it's shorter than a woman, we have a case of women's safety placed higher than men's. I wouldn't be in any way surprised if the sentence for beating a man was less severe than beating a woman.

No, what I see is a story of a woman who set up her ex to be beaten up by 2 others because she's an evil cunt. I.e. one person set up another person to be beaten up by two other people. I could see this being a men's issue if she wasn't arrested and held under $50,000 bail. But she was. There was no double standard; Bitch was guilty, she got sent to jail, fin. And cut out that melodramatic "Ugh, if you don't get it now, you never will!" bullshit. Feel free to try to explain instead of assuming I…

I don't understand how this is a specifically gendered issue. We have one evil, vindictive cunt who set up her ex to get his ass beat. You can contrive tons of things that seem sexist but it really seems no better that a feminist "click!" moment.

According to the mods, it's not. They welcome discussion because they recognize that a subreddit where everyone hunkers down and goes "lalalalala, can't hear you" when confronted, is a useless and childish one. I would have to agree. I've tried explaining that dissent, even when it's excruciatingly calm and polite, is still shunned in the feminist communities. No surprise, I got 47 downvotes for saying so. No other subreddit, other than maybe: /r/pyongyang and /r/conspiracy are that hostile to d…
