Do you listen to music or put on a Netflix show while you clean? That might help you feel like you’re doing something nice.

I think your first piece of advice is the most effective. I’ve found that lack of time works wonders concerning my bank account. Also, it’s always more fulfilling doing an activity than shopping.

This new job sounds bad on every level. Start searching for a new one. If you get asked in the interview why you’re leaving so soon, tell them you haven’t been given opportunities to learn and that’s what you expect in your new job.

I see your point. As I have been on a few dates from Tinder but not nearly enough to make a statistic out of it, what I’m saying is just personal experience. The men who invited me on a coffee date were incidentally the ones who didn’t put special effort in conversation and were generally less interesting. The guys who were very interested in me planned out nice dates. One of them: museum that interested us both, followed by a nice cafe, followed by a walk (that was spontaneous). They also engag…

I met my boyfriend on Tinder. My tips: Do not swipe right on people without a bio. If they didn’t put in the effort to think about a bio, they will not put in any effort in dating. If you dislike a bio for whatever reason, don’t swipe right. Guys tend to be honest with certain preferences, so believe them and don’t match. Do not message anyone first, ever. There is no reason to do so. I used Tinder twice with practically the same pictures and goals and bio. First time, I messaged some guys. Noth…

I‘m from Germany, so I clearly don’t know anything about the job market, but wouldn’t you be able to do some kind of office job with that? For example in HR? I feel like any standard office job is generally less stressful. There are exceptions, and I wouldn’t want to work in a call center, either. You could write a rather standard application and send it out to any employer you feel you can spend a few years working for.

Can’t you get a job which requires the degree you have? I’m assuming this would pay more than retail. Also, should you want to get back in the workforce when you’re children are grown up, having had a career would be helpful.

Regarding your favorite shops thing: Once you have lived at the new place long enough, you will develop a kind of rhythm (especially when you find a new job), and you will find new shops and cafes you love. Maybe take time to read up online on cute cafes around where you live. Since you’re currently not working, you can find time to do it. Regarding the family thing: I think he probably doesn’t want to feel excluded. Start by visiting your family often together. Tell him you’re sad because you h…

Well, kids like to play with people who can be childish. My dad can do it, my mother absolutely cannot. Honestly, you should simply try having fun whatever they are doing and talking to them in a manner that is excited. Also, if you wear pretty things, little girls tend to be very interested in you and want to touch that pretty necklace:)

This is a general tip. It’s helpful to ask questions and when you get an answer, acknowledge what he said and try to expand on that. When you start out this way, he will feel comfortable and eventually share deep stuff with you.

I agree. Met my boyfriend on an app and it never felt like it because we got to know each other as people, not just as options. Him suggesting a thoughtful first date (and not simply a one hour coffee date) highlighted that.

If he truly liked you, he would show his understanding by continuing trying to win your heart. Right now he’s acting like his investment didn’t pay off. Also, I believe you can avoid the situation next time by not becoming intimate at all (just kissing, no clothes off stuff). I find it very hard to not have sex when you’re naked and horny. It kinda sets the expectation that at least next time there will be full on sex. I don’t believe there is a certain amount of time to wait, but it would proba…

On top of the beauty things (which I do regularly and which are very important) I feel feminine when I do womanly things. I take time to cook for my boyfriend from time to time, I take time to call my father and really listen to him, same thing for my dearest mom. I make sure my mom has beauty stuff to try out. If I can help a stranger, I do it. Like calling a cab for a senior person who doesn’t have the energy’s to walk anymore. I always carry tampons and a charger and anti headache medicine an…

I don’t know for how long you have been dating, so I’ll just tell you my general thoughts. In the early stages of the relationship, it probably shouldn’t even matter how much you both earn as long as you’re both supporting yourself. He should be taking you out on dates, you should do some nice things for him too, to show him he’s loved. I don’t think it’s necessary for you to talk about money at all in the early stages. Do you start the conversations about money or does he complain that he earns…

I think that there is a pretty privilege but in many cases it doesn’t last with age. Frankly, I’ve had girls in my school that looked great around ages 16-18 and whose beauty declined already around 19. Sure, it was probably the wrong lifestyle that led to this. However, tables tend turn a lot for girls who are not conventionally beautiful, because this beauty increases with time. With the right tools, you can increase this Beauty yourself by underlining it with a suitable personal style. As to …

If you have been supportive and kind, you need to get back to that place. These qualities come from strength and happiness. If you are feeling neither at the moment, and we all have been there, you need to work on this. Don’t date men for a time. Instead, date yourself. At least once a week. Go on a walk, take a bath, get a massage / facial / manicure, go to the theatre, shop for a new nail polish, get yourself books that make you feel good. Listen to new or old music, get some nice pens and lea…

I agree with you. Obviously sex very early in the vetting phase will not give you the results you want, but having sex is a thing that needs to be vetted, too. There is absolutely nothing worse than the feeling you have after bad sex. No way I could live with that. Or there are selfish partners in bed. Or you learn that their preferences are absolutely not compatible with yours. I very much advise to keep a low n count and to generally not sleep around. What is low probably depends on where you …

Im not the Person you replied to but would still like to answer. You are not overweight, you’re in the perfect range. Sports is good to make your body look more defined. Hair: try argan oil. I used to have stuff from gap that was cotton and looked cute, but for lingerie that is comfortable, you need to go to a store that has many different brands and just try it out. My favorite brand is Chantelle, I find it comfortable because it suits my body. Also, thongs are a question of getting used to. When I started wearing them, I felt them in between my butt cheeks, but after a few months I never even paid attention anymore and now it’s the new normal. It’s a shame you can’t wear lace sinc…

I’ve been on Tinder twice. The first time, I sometimes messaged first, the second time, I never messaged first. I had much more success the second time. I met my boyfriend there. On our first date, we talked a little about online dating, but other than that, we dated in a normal way. Online dating is great because you have many opportunities and as long as you know your boundaries and expectations, it’s a great way to get to know men.

I’m not going to list prices since I’m not from the US, but just my experience: Brows — every 3 weeks at a salon (lower price range, but I tip well to compensate). I still need to pluck a few stray hairs after one week but that’s a matter of minutes and my eyebrows look great all the time. (When they’re done well, just use brow mascara daily and you’ll have goddess eyebrows). I think you can try eating less during your work day. Very light breakfast, a healthy lunch and some fruit and nuts as snacks are probably enough assuming you work in an office or something similar that requires more mental and less physical activity. Then you can eat whatever you cooked for your family in the evening.

I can only comment on one thing, and that is the philosophical connection you’re talking about at the end. There are people who don’t even realize they need that and still live together. This is clearly not an option for you since you feel something is missing. I know that feeling and I broke up with the guy I had that feeling with. With my current boyfriend, the discussions are so deep that I even need to concentrate a lot, and we feel very similarly about certain things. Once I realized it was…

/r/RedPillWomen30/06/19 08:27 PM

I do think it’s a red flag, but that just means she needs to have a conversation with him like you describe. It might be genuine concern, so she should ask him lots of detailed questions and follow up questions about what he thinks. If he can answer them and have a discussion, then there’s no red flag. What’s important is is to listen closely to what he has to say.

I think it’s strange that you two haven’t gone on a trip together in the year you’re dating. A man in love generally wants experiences like that with his woman. Given the fact that he doesn’t see much harm in attending such an event, he doesn’t have what it takes to be a good man.

What I’m going to say is biased. I’ve had two bitchy female bosses. Not that the male bosses were much nicer, but a lot easier to work with. I’m serious about this: If you can choose between jobs, go for the one with the male boss.

I don’t understand why you would want to get serious with a man in whom you recognize red flags, especially more than one. Work on your confidence by always keeping dating yourself. Do an activity for yourself, at least once a week. Make yourself happy.

Also linen shorts. They are usually loose fitting and look great with a white flowy blouse and beautiful sandals.

My understanding is that while dating, you should keep your own life so as to remain interesting. When you’re spending time with your boyfriend, you should focus on him and be warm and patient. When you are married, you should focus more on your husband. However, if you stay at home or have more free time than your husband, it’s best if you have interests that fill your time so that you don’t desperately wait for your husband to come home.

I do not have children yet. What taught me the most is how I perceived my mother. Therefore I believe it’s very important to keep working on your marriage and on your femininity so that your daughter can learn that.

I know this is not the advice you asked for, but the comment on the top already covered that this is your new normal. I’ve struggled with this too, so I know how hard this will be. Maybe one thing regarding the hobbies: I love going to events like theatre, museum, etc. I look up events regularly and put them in my calendar. I don’t think you were rash, you simply communicated your thoughts and acted on what you think is right. That’s exceedingly straight forward and good that you can make decisions. And I wouldn’t wait any longer than 3 months for the girlfriend title. I’d suggest that you should avoid the exclusive but not official situation. Either you’re seeing other people, or you want to commit to a man and he wants that too.

This is a wonderful reply that I agree with 100%. Dear OP, don’t even consider destroying that part of yourself. Your reaction is completely understandable given the circumstances and your emotions and fears are valid. You are entitled to them. If your husband and his family expect you to not have these emotions and not to cry, they simply don’t want to bother with your emotions. I hope you can resolve this issue with your husband.

I think you should remain in the relationship for now if it makes you happy overall. Move out on your own when you can afford it. Once you’ll be living independently, you’ll see much more clearly what you actually want. My guess is you’ll appreciate a guy who is also independent, lives on his own and doesn’t rely on other people for cleaning and cooking. Then you can make a decision.

I think you should look for a way of styling your hair so that it is up but still sexy. Look for tutorials on simple but elegant updos. For home wear, I love black leggings. Every man that got to see me at home in them appreciated the fact that he could look at my ass. For tops, look for something slightly oversized or maybe buy it one size bigger but with a décolleté. This combines comfort and sexiness.

I can give personal advice on how to become submissive. I have been dominant in the past, I’m good and fast at making decisions and analyzing situations and I’m also emotional. This combination has led me to organizing things and making most decisions. After reading every post in this sub for one year, I understood that I first need to recognize that when I’m starting to do this and stop. When we met for he first time, he kissed me on both cheeks. That’s fairly usual for the first date where I live. We were in a museum and by standing near me, we sometimes touched lightly. When we were going out, I grabbed his arm and then he took my hand and didn’t let it go. I would have considered putting his arm on my shoulder or back okay if it were for a few seconds, but anything more than that seems excessive. Im not long enough on this sub to give extensive advice, but I think you should use your energy on caring for your child and your home. When you have time to spare, work on hobbies of your own, preferably something that requires you to do something, not just Netflix or whatever. I don’t believe it’s weird to feel like you’re acting. Not many people have the confidence to just show everything about their personality all at once, and generally first and second dates can be awkward. Even when you get in a relationship it’s an adjustment, because you’re different depending on who you spend time with. Other than that, try reprogramming your way of thinking. It sounds like you’re trying to make it fit with him, but deep down feel that he’s not right. My issue with what you’re describing is this: If he has such high energy levels, he is free to use them. But I believe a good person would appreciate your effort and tell you so. He, however, wants even more and is pouty when he doesn’t get it. I dislike what you write about the Russian dude. The fact that he alludes to a future together and implies that you will definitely choose him is manipulative, and there is no way you can know his intentions are true. The fact that he agreed to wait for sex doesn’t mean much either, he can wait for sex and still leave after you’ve had sex. I think that’s a great idea. OP will likely spend more time in these rooms than her husband, so it makes sense. Also, maybe they can pick a color that will be present in every room and tie the styles together. A dark blue will work well in a masculine living room, in a comfy bedroom it can be combined with yellow and gold, and in the kitchen with white.

I disagree. I love giving gifts and I take tremendous amounts of time to pick them out and to wrap them. Often, it’s a nice thing that the person likes but wouldn’t have bought for himself, or something truly useful. I have gotten a necklace once with my favorite animal. It was custom made and with my favorite colors. It screamed „I know you so well“. Maybe you meant random gifts and not well thought out ones?

I can relate to many things you wrote. As you want to look up to your husband, it might be worthwhile to look for men with careers that are not STEM. You might be more impressed with what they do and what skills they have and you’ll probably not get the feeling of „oh I could do better than him“ which would be very unhelpful.

I feel like you should start with appointments that make you feel great. My favorite appointment is with my cosmetologist, who treats my skin for one hour. It’s the most relaxing thing ever. Maybe start with a day spa. In short, find what relaxes you and do that regularly. Other appointments depend on how often you need them. That’s a difficult situation. You already plan to help in a practical way and that’s important. You know your husband well, you should know what kind of moral support he needs and likes best. I find the following conversation technique useful: Ask him a question, he answers, you reply by summarizing what he said and asking if you got it right, thus giving him the option to elaborate on what he said before. Armani code smells mysterious and sexy, though I don’t know how sweet it would be for you. Maybe try it out. So, you’re seeing a guy who implies you have money, cannot set a date and turns the conversation sexual when you don’t want to. I think it’s safe to say that you should at the very least start seeing other people, who will actually take time and effort to date.

My mother has that problem. I believe the only way to reprogram yourself and think egoistically. At the very least, always speak up promptly and honestly and in a serious way. Say stuff matter of factly. This way they might learn over time not to disregard you. Also choose simple sentences. Yup don’t need to explain things. „This doesn’t work for me“ or „I won’t be doing that“ or „I won’t consider it“ should be fine.

Honestly, I don’t treat hygiene and beauty as a „can“, I treat it as a must. Just like you would go to work even if you don’t want to or have a little headache, you should be having a ritual in the morning (short) and in the evening (long, because presumably you have more time here). I admit that for me it is a necessity because of certain conditions that require me to care a lot for my skin. However, if you’re absolutely healthy, you can still look up the benefits of proper skincare. And frankl…

First of all, it doesn’t matter what most men want, you only need one that loves you and agrees with you on the basic stuff. I agree that you need another major source of fulfillment that isn’t children. Therefore I would definitely encourage you to get that PhD. If you get the PhD: Worst case, you don’t meet a suitable man but still have your career. As you can’t have children, you have more time looking for a husband. And doing that in your field, during professional events is doable. Best cas…

Well, I think a good way to start is to thank him in different ways - whenever you buy something nice thank him that you can get it, thank him for how you were able to go to school because he worked full time, etc. “I’m really glad you were there for me when xx” just slip in those kinds of phrases in :)

I agree with you that this is obsessive. I wish I had a solution, but it’s nothing that can be resolved by talking. I was in a situation that is in some way similar, so let me tell it. One of my previous boyfriends had a very good relationship with his father. They spent lots of time together, did activities together, talked about everything. At first I liked that they had a good relationship, but over time I believed it was excessive. I didn’t discuss this with him as this point. Then come Chri…

I’d cut my losses if you haven’t been on a single date or done an activity together. And while I recognize that everyone grieves differently, I find it hard to respect someone who wants sex after talking to you about his grandmother who recently died.

If f it is appropriate in the situation, why not - though a massage might be too much. I think the goal is to take care that he has food and drinks, a little bit of cuddling, and of course telling his and your friends nice things about him, always looking cute.

I wouldn’t move in unless they had actually moved out. In these cases, end dates tend to be pushed back and OP expected to deal with it.

I understood the post in a way that OPs husband didn’t tell his best friend that he was making a mistake and neither did he tell the wife of his best friend who is a mutual friend of him and his wife. The fact that he told OP, his wife, looks like he wants her to do the dirty work by having to inform their mutual friend, this not damaging his friendship with his best friend. I believe that this constitutes condoning. But I agree that in some cases it might be best to have a woman tell that to an…

I would be appalled too. Cheating is morally wrong and should not be condoned, not in best friends, nor in family.

I think you should have a baseline instead of the highest possible expectations. For example, you might meet a man who is otherwise great, but is a doctor and you wanted to date someone with more time to offer. In the process of vetting you will decide how crucial it is for you. You will realize that as long as the baseline is there (holds down a good job, has values, etc.), it might not be so important to you anymore. The same thing goes for kids. You should have kids in marriage and you need t…

I believe that there meat dishes that you can cook quite easily even without much practice — everybody starts out by learning. Also, you don’t need to eat what you’re cooking, you can just take a bite, taste and spit it out. I cook lots of stuff that way, because I have restrictions as to what I can eat but I love cooking for people.

Isn’t the rp perspective for the man being the leader? If he is bored, why doesn’t think of something kinky himself and try to implement it? I too suggest for you to approach him less. Let him initiate the interesting stuff.

I have no idea how you work full time, go to the gym five times a week, cook, visit people and still want sex. You must have insanely high energy levels! If you feel like you still aren’t doing enough around the house, you might consider not going to the gym five times a week. In my opinion three long workouts are enough if you eat healthily. And yes, weed is not exactly an energy source. Also, I don’t think you should out so much pressure on yourself. I’m sure your boyfriend values your willing…

I don’t think you need to work on this. It’s that important to you and therefore part of your personality. I get it, too. My family was poor up until I was about 14/15. it went uphill from there, but the shame of going to school with wealthy children and not having jeans that fit, anything nice, or any nice experiences made me an outsider and killed my self—esteem. While I do not pursue such a high profile career as you do, I will be working in a respected job with stable income and that is very…

You make it a nice date experience by being beautiful, friendly and calm. Calmness can be achieved by herbal anti anxiety medication, it’s no big deal. Be dressed nicely, be upbeat but respectful. It’s good that you’re not actively looking for a relationship. That way you’ll judge him more rationally.

Your suggestion of meeting him closer to where you live is still a part of vetting. He acted like he’s fine with it, but canceled. Chances are he never meant to make that effort. You did a great job by stating what works for you. It’s his loss if he doesn’t want to do anything for a girl he’s dating. That said, I don’t think there’s anything to fix. You’ll find that many men are noncommittal. That’s what vetting is for. Only date those who prove that they’re capable of committment.

Yeah don’t you want a boyfriend who cares about how you feel, what you did that day? I mean it obviously bothers you, and to me that sounds more like a boyfriend problem than a texting problem.
/r/RedPillWomen20/10/18 06:38 PM

I think that is shitty behavior that doesn’t have that much to do with texting. Texting is only the medium. How does he act on the phone?

I‘m not sure if what I will say will help you, because it is only from my experience. I was at my most emotional in the shittiest relationship I had, which also was my first one. As I grew up, I dealt with my emotions more maturely. Beyond that, my most emotional times are when I am unhappy and there is something wrong in my life — bad boyfriend, things in my career going south, etc. As I got out of bad situations things went back to normal again. Maybe there is something underlying in your case…

It does. Try to focus on what you have what they don’t, if that helps you. Like, sometimes I see a wonderful woman with a totally different body type and style and I admire the way she looks. In a second step, I explain to myself what I have that she doesn’t that makes me unique and beautiful.

Sooo you have a ton of questions so let me pick out a few. Being confident and relaxed in social situations: I have some herbal anti anxiety stuff, also mint tea which is calming. Beyond that, you can totally fake confidence. Smile a lot and strike up a conversation with a girl you don’t know at all about how you like her dress, etc. Clothes: You say you need stuff for really cold weather. If you are bold, you can get yourself woolen winter dresses and layer as many pairs of black leggings under…

I went through something similar. I haven’t been in therapy, mostly because I feel confident to work through it myself, but maybe you should try it out. Also, a healthy comparison with other women might be helpful to you. I don’t mean that you should put other women down, but just observe and analyze. Some women don’t have a lot going for them but present their strengths in a way that make other people think how accomplished they are. Some people tell others how much they are into art, creating …

Likely they had high expectations, maybe didn’t tell her they loved her often enough (pure speculation, but happened to me). I once heard that you need to praise your son for what he did and to praise your daughter for how she is. Unfortunately I was raised like a boy in this respect, and it’s difficult to work through old habits of trying to earn praise.
/r/RedPillWomen16/10/18 06:09 PM

I suggest you actively remind yourself of what you accomplished. For every minute thinking you’re not good enough, spend a minute thinking about what you did well. That’s step one. Step two is to break out of being a perfectionist all the time. You don’t need to do things to be loved. Love is not earned. You need to be your happy self. When going out, you’re giving a gift to the people who see your beauty. Be kind to yourself. Value yourself. Be happy. Remind yourself to be happy, tell yourself …

Personally, I’d have a wedding with everything I want (for some that’s expensive wedding rings, for others a great restaurant) but only for the closest family and friends - like 20 guests total maximum. That should cut down costs. I believe it’s important to not just elope but to celebrate with family. Other than that, a house is more important than a big party.

Also, there are lots of clothes for wearing at home that are fitted and in nice colors, but from softer materials that are acceptable for work. This kind of clothes make evening cuddles much better :)

My guess is that it is to be expected that you won’t get many dates or friends out of that, but it’s some form of communication and the people you meet there will have some interests in common with you and the acquaintances, friends, dates etc. that happen will likely be more meaningful.

My guess is expensive bars if that’s your kind of thing, museums - when there is an event -, fairs for fine art, antiquities and such, library or bookshop events, concerts for that age group - likely classical music, maybe also jazz bars. Any kind of sport like golf or tennis.

You got great advice here already but I came here to say that you have a pretty unique biography and likely personality, too, and that’s a great thing. This will probably make it more difficult to find somebody but when you do, it will be wonderful. In my experience men that age don’t want boring women. They want women to have fun with. And given what you posted here, I’m sure you can offer that. As to meeting more people, you should attend all kinds of events in your city where men that age gro…

I would like to add that I don’t find people from the country I was born in attractive, and neither do I like the looks of men from the country I live in. Instead, I have a strong preference for a certain type that is from a certain country. So it’s somewhat racial, but not only. Also, I don’t think it’s racist, it’s just a preference.

I‘m not the person who commented before, but if you feel uncomfortable having sex with him without doing anything else the whole week, why don’t you tell him your feelings about that and ask him to focus on the emotional side of your relationship. If he will agree with you but continue doing the same thing, then he is definitely using you. I am new to RP so please correct me if I proposed something wrong. Thanks!

I know a wonderful high-value lawyer whose girlfriend is a doctor. Last I heard, he was very serious about the relationship. I think it’s important that you feel good doing whatever you’re doing. Being happy is probably the most attractive thing there is.
