Yes, exactly! But when your Blue Pill self controls you, it just doesn't want to remove itself. The painful comfort that one is used to is often preferred over the sweet, beneficial pain of improvement.

You are right. I am a fan of Nassim Nicholas Taleb and one of his main notions is about being uncompromising. Definitely works. Soil of a man is hardship and being uncompromising.

I have defined what to do, why to do that and how to do it & you're saying this is a "feel good" post.. Let me tell you, nobody can "feel" that good after reading this article since its only backbone is action. Don't be a fuckwit.

Exactly! People think they get unplugged just by finding TRP and reading 2-3 posts. No fucking way, man. Hell no. It is just the beginning of a long process. Once you find TRP, you are presented with the red pill. When you start to take control of your life, take massive action and step into the journey to become a real man, you swallow the pill.

Thank you for the support man. I am 18 and relatively inexperienced comparing to a lot of the people here. I don't want to preach what other people are already saying, so I try and create my own way. I document the process and share it. Goal is to inspire younger people here (14-20 mostly). Let's see how that goes!

I don't think new people are the pinnacle of TRP, never did. I believe that to improve our community, we simply need to increase the amount of winners among us and make them share their own experiences/guides etc. Worst people you can come across here are the ones who have been here for months, or sometimes years, but have not made even a little bit of progress. These are the ones who think they have swallowed the pill, but they are actually getting it via anal and will be unhappy in the end.

This article is not about that challenge, and I linked it just to elevate on my point with a good example and to share my Twitter. It seems like a huge ordeal, and it is an enormous ordeal. Tough times, fun times, amazing outcomes. I will be releasing a podcast episode in a few days about that business, will be revealing a lot about that all. Subscribe to my newsletter here to get notified when I release the episode.

It has not peaked yet. It is a respectable job, but mostly seen as a Beta Bucks. If you were an investment banker, it would be better in terms of respect since IBs are mostly seen as alphas in the popular culture. But, I am sure, no girl can resist a programmer who lifts, has a great lifestyle and is good at his job. By the way, I don't think getting laid differs THAT much according to your profession. Overal 3-5 chicks might be bonus etc.

You were the textbook nerd at high school, and now you are the textbook beta bucks. Same old story, again and again. You know what you should do. Remove her completely from your life and focus solely on yourself.

Oh, the good old friendzone! 1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIp3nsKiZqw 2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5evwkpOFUY 3) "When it's over for a woman, it's over. You're not getting an appeal." - Jack Nicholson : This is mostly about LTRs and alike, but still applies to friendzone a bit. It is not impossible to recover from there, but it is definitely very hard most of the time isn't even worth it. The question you should be asking is whether you have oneitis or not.

I am not sure if you could be "bro" with this man, at least right now. I suggest you to ask him about stuff and build a close relationship, but the current conditioning (he's basically your teacher, upper than you) will prevent any "bro" type of very close relationship. But, go for it. Also, never forget to empathize with this guy. Do you think you are the only one that's trying to be close with him? Provide some value, some kind of reason for him to be friends with you.

There are two possiblities; Either you are trying to appear rich to find an LTR from online dating, Or try to appear rich so you can fuck stupid girls. I just couldn't decide which one is actually more irrational. I don't think you can find good LTRs from online dating, honestly. And if you are positioning yourself somewhere close to Beta Bucks, you are not the one who fucks - instead, you get fucked. Change your perspective. You only need to demonstrate high value; this can be done in a lot of …

I have suffered from this. Actually, still a bit from time to time, but very rarely. Meditation is a must. Therapy might also help. Another thing I want to say is; just read about Stoicism and apply it. Any mental illness (I know it's a harsh word but it's true) is a synonym for irrationality. Your best bet would be to practise rationality. Just equalize the "real" reality to "your" reality. You will be a winner in a short time. But, it takes work. Real work. Good luck.

I am not a fan of listening to podcasts while working. In my case, it works best while exercising a motor function; like brushing teeth, driving along a road you have been thousands of times before, or playing video games. So, if you are putting in focused work on something, it might not be the best idea to listen to the podcast. Because you're either fully committed to the podcast, or to the work. And if you try to do them both, you focus will change rapidly between them so you will be doing bo…

THIS! Fucking twats. I hate seeing stuff like this. It is like asking how to crack an egg. It might not seem like the simplest thing in the world, but look, IT IS. How do I lose weight? Fucking eat less, exercise a bit. How do I ask a girl out? Guess what, ASK HER OUT. I don't even know what those guys are looking for as an answer. Guys, honestly, there is no silver bullet, magic pill or a magical spell. Just. Do. It.

I don't think you have the best understanding of "giving" and "value". From my standpoint, I go for this notion: Be the best person you can ever be, be the man, and people will be around you just for the sake of it. I mean, my ultimate goal -when it comes to this- is to basically be the best me, so people will benefit me just by hanging out with me. In this case, there is nothing they ask for, or you need to offer. If you had the chance to spend 3 months with Trump or Gates, would you ask for th…

In my life, before every great breakthrough, everything has turned to shit. Now, I see it as an indicator for success so when it's shitty -and believe me, it will ALWAYS be that way, even Bill Gates has bad times- I just remember how it was like before and I keep going. Life is all about ups and downs; we call it "happiness" when we're going up from a down. When we reach the peak of an up, it's time for another down. It goes on and on. Just learn to enjoy it all.

It is a great opportunity for you to learn how to balance few things at the same time. My method is this; I set out a plan for some timeframe (week, month or 3 months - generally relatively short term) and then stick to it like a madman. This way, you both never miss out and are able to achieve anything you want. For example, you have three main goals; health, academics and socializing. At the beginning of the month you create a detailed plan. You figure out what you're going to eat everyday, go…

First of all, no cult will ever call themselves a cult. So, stupid question. But.. 99.9% of the Red Pillers don't even get together in real life. No one tries to put you in some form of a movement, or makes you do anything at all. No one asks for your money. What are you talking about? I really doubt your intelligence.

No, not at all. If they are hindering your progress, not helping with anything etc - it means they are not being a family for you. From that point, they are actually people whom you have blood relation by chance and because of that you've spent time along years etc. Just don't burn the bridges if there is not a big feud etc. I do the same; actually my family had a big happenning going on so even in this case, I have not burned the bridges. Don't we as humans strive to make things easier, are we trying to make our lives worthless? Don't ask stupid questions. What would the risks be when doing pickup at school? What are you going to do, go and approach girls at a fucking high school? You are going to label yourself as the weirdo, and you won't get any pussy, even if you're lucky.

Graduated from an Ivy League school? It explains a lot. Intelligent people are more prone to depression and alike. The thing is, the only way to get rid of depression is to improve nonstop. It is both a blessing and a curse, since it keeps you on the edge, but can be tiring. You need to find a meaning for all this, my man. To be honest, there is no other way. I view "baggage" as something that is a hurdle, but not the biggest one that you can't even handle or carry. So, it is something that you have to bear with, but the baggage comes with more than that. So, it is somehow worth it at the end of the day. So, daddy issues, being a feminist, being a whore/slut/CC-rider etc are not baggage in my opinion. It is just not worth it, at all. What I view as baggage is stuff that is at most a yellow flag, but is bearable and something that doesn't really inter…

The day you've found The Red Pill, you were born again. I know it is hard, but count all those happenings and semi-traumatic events as past now. You can not do anything about them, but you can start from now on to stand up for yourself. Look, you didn't know it back then, right? But now, you do. Don't care about how you behaved or were pushed around at those dark times, they were not explicitly your fault. Just the life put you in that situation. But from now on, if you every get pushed around, …

You simply don't do pickup at school. One of the important lessons here; don't shit where you eat. Pickup at school is just risky and you don't want that. Actually, widening your social circle and finding chicks from there is just way better. About TRP.. TRP is a must for a young man in this day and age. Learn it, absorb it, and apply it. But I see that you're falling for that pitfall that almost all young men fall in 2016; Do you think TRP and pickup would be easy to implement in a school? What…

I see. I clearly understand what you're talking about since I've gone through that. The thing is, it is just not the best idea as you've also realized. I would suggest you to go to extremes though. That's the best way to improve. I mean, go where the winners are at. Go to finance, investing, entrepreneurship conventions. Go to high profile pool parties. Go to opera, and meet people there. Best suggestion would be that if you ask me. Honestly, if you've did the things I've just mentioned your lif…

As /u/G_Petronius have said, literally the best advice about discipline is that there is no magic bullet. It is all about the will. Discipline is really tough, but will reward you in the end like nothing ever can. Go and read everything you can find about Jocko Willink. That guy is.. just words are not enough to describe him. He has a podcast, too.

Come on, those are for people who are just looking for a quick chat/fun or maybe just to masturbate. If you're explicitly trying your chance there, there is a high chance it's because you are used to those places. Which implies you are a loser. Go to Okcupid, POF, Tinder. Grow up. Times have changed and you have to change too.

Many people are reluctant to meetups and alike since it has been tried before and some SJWs tried to fuck it up as far as I remember. You can do this. Only thing is to make peoeple trust you. And, really, what will they get out of this? What's in it for them? Yeah, meeting up would be cool and stuff but what is the end goal? I don't know the details but, telling her that you "like" her is pretty much vague. You can make it mean anything you want. Meet up again, and after sex, tell her that it was so good etc and that "as I've told you before, I like your energy in bed" etc. Bend the reality.

I am sure there are Red Pillers who are going through this and they will help but I want to weigh in here. I have suffered from depression and anxiety. I know Bipolar and they are not the same thing, but when it comes to "mental illnesses", it is pretty much similar to be honest. Unless you are schizophrenic. Which is a whole different story. First, therapy and medication. These are non-negotiable. People here or even you might be skeptical about medication, but if you trust your doctor, just go…

/u/edwardhwhite's suggestion is simply the best. By the way, I don't think TRP is the best choice for something like that. /r/seduction might be better since TRP is more about an overall look/philosophy about life. But yeah; posture, eye contact and no compliments.

The problem is not whether someone has fucked her or not, and let me tell you, someone definitely did. The problem is that you feel this way. Thank you for asking this question, and I don't really know why no one has replied before. This is a very important and equally profound question. You are putting up with things. That's the problem. All those successful people have not "put up with" things, because they were not trying to maintain their position by small, incremental growth just the keep up with the life's "inflation" - but rather, they have had this passion (I accept passion is not the best word to describe this but still), thi…

First, understand that it takes time. Maybe years. It will take years if you follow through and actually work on it, otherwise you will never achieve it whether you spend a lifetime on it half-assed. My method is to record your days everyday for a week, and then analyze. Don't attempt to do anything that's very different from your current modus operandi, and just down deep into at the end of the week. What is the point of this post? I respect your choices, but it is not "true Red Pill" or anything closer. Red Pill makes you see the world's true face, whatever action you take then is your own choice. After you ask this question only thing that comes to mind is either you are in anger phase or suitable for MGTOW, which is nearly the same thing in most cases.

Bad news; you will not find any reason to live. Good news; you can create a reason to live. Look, people whom we call "people with purpose" either found a reason to live or created their own reasons, missions. I have written a post about this, you can find it on my profile - it's called Art of Success. Basic premise is; you have to break out of your current unproductive, unwanted cycles. I have to give an explanation, as the writer of the guide. I want to help as much as possible and to transfer my ideas, so I have started writing a series of articles on getting the most out of life. And I have written my second article on taking action. Since the guide was relatively successful and I was seeing how many people I was able to help by incoming emails etc, I had added the link of my second article at the end of the depression guide. The problem is, TRP subreddit does not let linkin…

Thank you for your input and you've made a great point. But as we know, "crushes" that stem from action are not "painful" for a man - it is just a small hurdle to the inevitable. If you want to win big, you have to get crushed a few times and that's okay if you've learned from them. These crushes are like investments. Real men know that life doesn't forgive inaction and the more you are inactive, the more fucked you are. Crushes that doesn't stem from inaction, crushes that are caused by being a…

Psychobabble is psychobabble because it is true to some degree and is easier to get people understand your point. It is awesome that you are here right now and realize that it is BINARY; you either do, or do not.

Hahaha It's really fun to interact with fags like you. I don't care if you are a modern slave. Your problem is your problem.

Imagine this; you have read this article, took extensive and actionable notes, did everything you've learned letter by letter. Do you think you would need anything else? Willpower, motivation etc? Come on man. There are actions to take, and how you are going to take them..

Thank you very much for your input, this post is really important. I have touched the subject briefly in the article, but this is a much detailed explanation, perfect. I'd like to ask, why don't you take folic acid, MSG, gluten etc? Have you got tested for them if yes how, and if not, is it because you might be reactive to them?

This is a VERY useless comment. You know it all, now. Only thing that matters is that whether you apply what you've learned, or not, from now on. Go!

Reading this everyday or at least trying will make you resentful; don't. Read it once well and take awesome, actionable notes. Then, listen to yourself, listen to your body.

Occultism is not something practical at first and you have a really wide mastering curve so I'm not sure if it's worth it. By the way, by saying mastering I'm talking about having a succinct and profound understanding of the fundamentals and the big picture. But philosophy degree is definitely an advantage.

Important point is to understand that all those things you've did are not a GUARANTEE to overcome this shit. Different people have different kind of metabolisms and their bodies might, will work differently. So, you have to try and test different things. You can't say "keto didn't work for me so fuck dieting" - you have to try differrent diets and find what works best.

Oh ok. Look. I don't care whether you're depressed or not, what you have described at first is not depression. It is just the "depressed feeling" that is CAUSED (yeah, you have the cause there) by the frustration. So, it is a fucking PROBLEM. You are fucking 34. You CAN do this man.

"Superficial shit like exercise and dieting." - don't be dumb. You're right about CBT, as I've also mentioned in the article.

That is not depression. That is frustration. This is really important to understand the basic differences here, don't kid yourself. The reason behind your lack of success might be that you're too needy. This is not the topic to discuss that I believe. AskTRP.

Why would I dodge the question? Are you able to understand? Not a cost-benefit analysis, but a way to build momentum. Are you laying bricks when you masturbate? No. Are you laying bricks when you overeat? No. Are you laying bricks when you write 3 emails to get hired? Hell yeah. Do you think once you become a CEO, dopamine will be released continuously until the board fires you and makes some other person the CEO? Man, you're dumb or, uneducated. Dopamine release is a one time thing, except thin…

Thank you for your kind words. Life has probably threw a quest at you, a goal. It might be getting into a good university, getting a promotion etc. If they are good for you on the mid/long-term, you can go with them. But if you're going to go with those, you have to add a parallel, more personal goal. I know that feeling, man. Only thing you have to do is to take 2-3 small steps. If you don't, there is no salvation for you for now.

Who the fuck are you giving orders to? Saw Sisyphus in your nickname, and will be answering just for the sake of Camus. Lucky bastard. What is the best output you've created after masturbating 20 times? Is it a cumbox? First, you define that. But you still release very much of the dopamine that you have. Let's say you're doing door to door sales. Every sale will give you a boost of dopamine. See where that ends up? There are arbitrary actions, and there are actual investment-like actions. Every …

Very important point right there. After curing your depression, you will have dreams. Both while battling with depression and after that, these people will be fucking hindrance. Thanks for the input. Thanks man, VERY important point.

To say consistent, you need to change your environment and change your ways. I know it is hard, maybe not possible for now but, build a life from scratch somewhere. Do you think going to New York City (just an example) to survive would make you inconsistent? After you build a sustainable living, you would able to shape your life and ways from scratch.

Sure! Eagles pushe their babies out of the nest after sometime, to teach them to fly. As you know, they build their nests to the very heights, so there is longer than usual time to learn to fly. If the baby is able to learn to fly, it survives. If it doesn't, falls off to the ground and dies. This is how the nature works. Humans are very similar to that. But we're living in a world where everything is pretty much all provided for us. This causes us to be never pushed out from the nest. We get bi…

Thank you! This is what I'm talking about actually. Did you realize how I didn't even go into stuff like "I lost a job and I'm sad (not depressed) until I find a new one" stuff. I used the job example but in a different way, shouldn't mess things up. They are normal ups and downs of life. I'm talking about stuff, the real stuff that affects your daily life etc, the diagnosed depression.

It is hard to talk about this actually. Whatever you do might seem fake to them. But, just be there for them. The problem is, they are living in an irrational, illogical world - which is caused by depression. So, whenever you want to do something with them, that shouldn't be just sitting and talking in my opinion. Sure, sit and talk hours from time to time, go into deep topics etc. But the best way would be to make them do something. Take them out to dinner, go to cinema, all those basic activit…

This is REALLY important. How you know yourself is based on this: The amount of knowledge on yourself as a whole and your experiences based on it, say 100% (I mean, you know FULL of what you know). Only when you push yourself 101% to go beyond what you know as your limits, you are able to improve and go into the next level.

This is REALLY important to understand. But I believe there is something unexplainable that leads you through experiences, and when the time comes, you will be what you want to be, what you need to be - more importantly. Just don't give up.

Yeah, that was a dick move to judge before hearing your story, sorry about that. But the problem is clear man, that is not JUST depression, your "depression" HAD a solution, but you didn't do anything. This doesn't mean every problem that has a solution can never be depression, I mean, yours even had a CAUSE that is obvious. If everyone you were close to told you to see a professional, that means you did not see a professional when you were first suggested to. That's the problem. Depressed peopl…

One thing I realized by talking to a lot of people after writing the article is, they don't take their fate in their hands. They don't control their own lives. They are on the verge of giving up and they don't really care, they expect a magic pill or a white knight. This is scarcity mindset at its worst. Thank you for your further input, I appreciate it. I think the only actual MUST is to keep trying new and profound stuff, changing them according to what works and what doesn't and never giving …

Thank you! I also have that chemical imbalance and because of that even though I am not depressed, I am not really happy even now. But I think happiness is a shiny, not so much needed thing. There is contentment, which is better. Contentment is what a man feels after he does what he needs to do, when he works on his mission etc. Find that and you'll be fine. By the way, even though I don't take pills, I am not against them ;)
/r/TheRedPill02/08/16 04:14 PM

Do you know why you get that quote all the time? Because sincerely that is the only way. Many depressed people expect a magic pill or a white knight to save them from their current situations, and that's wrong. That NEVER works in life. You are alone, and this is not a bad thing, at all. First thing you should do is to stop relying on motivation. Motivation is fleeting, as you know. You wouldn't trust or hang out with a friend who sometimes shows up to meetings and sometimes doesn't. If that was…

You should learn more about dopamine. You are not a porn or masturbation addict, you are a dopamine addict - porn/masturbation are just ways that the addiction signals itself. I have A LOT of experience with porn and masturbation addiction, so I can easily tell you that the problematic thing is pornography. Masturbation is tolerable to some degree. Try doing noporn and you will see even if you try to masturbate, nothing will happen. Even after you orgasm by masturbating, your body will crave por…

College is a place that you just get into and everything is already prepared for you. It is like a hatching place, most importantly, it is easy. Realize that what you crave now is easiness. The thing is, college lifestyle had its limits. You are going to be the creator of your own lifestyle from now on, because the limitations have pretty much lifted off for you now. But with freedom comes responsibility. Good luck.
