No restaurant runs on a single part. Its a complex system that has a minimum number of people needed to function, that's all I meant, same as a society. Ultimately my point being that there are indeed expendable members. fyi im a highly expendable cubicle artist myself

A restaurant can employ 100 servers, but only need 10 a night to function. Just because 90 are on call doesn't mean they aren't expendable. Are you saying 60% of western society men are able bodied and capable? The 22.5% of old and unemployed are already expendable, we're clearly alive and well without them. We can set aside 17.5% to cover the young, I think thats fair lol The trick here is gonna be identifying all the areas where men are going to be needed to keep society afloat. So we've got c…

You just connected some synapses in my brain there. The grass being greener bit. Its so backwards and I cant believe I didn't see it so clearly before. The idea behind "the Grass is always greener on the other side" is about envy, jealousy, and being happy with what you have and your place in the world. But you're right, the feminist version of that is totally "The grass is greener on the other side, and yours can/should be too." teaching shame, resentment, entitlement. Maybe it should even go "…

I would modify #1 to something more like 'Educates himself and understands the perils associated with marriage and other entanglements with women.' Also, what are your thoughts on the permanence of the MGTOW philosophy in someones life? The avoiding marriage and women argument is usually pretty rooted in law. So suppose those laws change, and MGTOW becomes less needed. That suggest a sliding, shifting threshold somewhere which determines whether MGTOW is worth it or not. I suspect that threshold…

As an Artist and a MGTOW I am expendable. No one needs or relies on me, and if I disappeared my job would be refilled easily and the world would keep spinning. There are an uncountable number like me out there, as evident by the competition for my field, and what I do that's unique and makes me stand out isn't so special as to put me on the high end of the Pareto distribution. I've no friends or family to disappoint or strive to gain approval from. Im short, so no one notices me anyway. The worl…

The title needs to add 'to women' I really think this could have been something useful, as there are totally MGTOW reasons for wanting to look more attractive and approachable, and can certainly translate into real world benefits. From people holding elevators for you more often to increasing your chances in interviews. Your outer shell is a part of you, craft it to serve your needs.

To be fair they dont have to be bachelors, like the dead-bedroom types, or red pill pump-n-dumpers. Going your own way can include relationships with women. But MGTOW is not defined by its relationship with women, unlike incels.

A lot of people have been debating over the past few months about a litmus test for whether or not people belong at /r/MGTOW. I think the best one is outcome independence regarding sex. With this test, MGTOW includes: -Incels who dgaf. The ones raging at society can go elsewhere, because they are not outcome independent. -Chill TRP guys. But only the ones who don't turn into obsessive freaks after a failed night of sarging. Going out and not being able to attract attention is only an emergency i…

Here's my current dilemma: I'm from a small town which studies show has some of the highest life satisfaction on the continent and I recognize it when I go back for holidays and to visit, but it cannot support my career. I can relate man, to have given up but still look ahead. I dont like to say I've lost hope as it sounds cliche and triggers people, instead I briefly explain how I no longer expect anything positive from this life that I myself didn't make happen. Bad things on the other hand happen regularly, consistently and without end. I've been able to endure the curve balls thrown at me so far, but it would be naive to assume I'll endure the next pitches just as well. Ultimately no one gives a shit about m…

So I attended a "women in gaming" event recently. There were easily 100+ women there with less than 20 dudes. Very little actual advice was given out, just various ways of explaining that if the company you work at doesn't value equity of diversity, you should threaten to leave or form a campaign to convince them to hire more women, for parity. Merit was not mentioned once. The important thing was very clearly 'more women in games' not 'more games for women'. I wanted to just shout at the room t…

Countless female character in fiction, but how many were the primary lead characters? Samus Aran is anything but perfect. In so many of her games she starts out powerful and ends up losing all her abilities, driving half the game forward. And didn't Ridley kill her parents or something? I never played Other M. Cant think of many other flawed female leads tbh

Not every member would need to be a cop, and why would they care if a sheep joins and gets beaten up. Just provides them with plausible deniability, because how could there be that many. Wooooow that was dishonest. Literally the only reason they give is that female suicide dropped 20% it completely ignores the fact that there are two people in the marriage, and that one might not want the divorce. But still these questions are relevant, they will help us understand the situation. Why does she feel she needs to pay for herself? Whats the push and pull motivators? Does she enjoy feeling charitable, and doesn't like having to rely on others? Are you broke? This will really shed light on the situation. If she just knows the dates would suffer if you cover the entire bill. So again, what are the push and pull motivators there?

It's all a matter of opinion, and the thing with vegans is they have strong opinions, usually with regards to animal cruelty and factory farming, which I can empathize with. Big problem I have with the video is the phantom pain bit which they use to decide that pain isn't the stimulus. They just go ahead and choose for us. Its like the question 'if a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound' and they just go ahead and say yes, because most people think they heard something. They would say that it isn't the vibrations made from the impact of the tree falling but instead its the brain that decides a sound happened, even if no tree falls. Its deceptive, and a sma…

Pointing out racial differences isn't racism. Well, it is though. The word 'racism' is inherently neutral, and its up to interpretation to determine if its 'good racism' (affirmative action) or 'bad racism' (merely pointing out differences, apparently). Somehow everyone only sees the negative side of the word. Same thing has happened to the word 'masculinity' and 'sexism', among others.

I cannot avoid women and gender relations in society, because we live in a society that has women and gender relations.

Bethesda probably has the best AAA ports out so far, but its otherwise mostly short indie stuff. The rick and morty thing can be completed in a few hours. There are some great, highly polished examples of what to expect as a piece of a game that will be coming one day, Gorn for comes to mind.

lol wut? Honestly man the way you format your stuff leaves me dazed. I think I read it wrong too cause you seem to contradict yourself and I cant find the way to read it correctly. But ultimately I think we're on the same page here. the slate will be wiped clean, and we'll be able to do have "male only spaces" again -sigh- until then we continue to post on reddit I guess

Somehow I dont expect there to be more accepted male only spaces there though. We need more of these, more "third places" where men can just hang out together and mingle without competing for women. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_place All us lonesome 20-something guys are isolated because we only spend time at home or at work, like I do. This subreddit is the closest thing I've got to a third place. Sure, there are some meet ups and stuff in range of me, but so far I've not fit in at any I…

Every time I leave my front door I bleed money. I made a few blue pill friends when I first moved here, but since swallowing the red pill and going MGTOW they don't come over for board game nights any longer. Hasn't always been like this though. It's interesting you chose to write 'woman' instead of 'girl' in your title, but I understand why you might have made that choice. Often times it would be more accurate to have the term 'all women are like that' be re-written to 'all women near the center of the bell curve within context are like that'. It can be an extremely difficult distinction to parse, but one I wouldn't get rid of, because it sparks many of the important conversations and debates that take place on this sub. Yes, 'Alpha' a…

So long as you're a bit of a necrophiliac. Sure there are heated models, but until they are fully articulated and whatnot I will continue to be creeped out.

Sure fair enough, and a few years ago political leaning wouldn't have mattered to me at all. So to each their own calculations.
/r/MGTOW26/03/18 11:44 PM

I have done similar 'back of the napkin' calculations myself, I would need to meet a few hundred women a day to find someone. I would say though, political compatibility would be critical for me, not trivial, but that's just a subjective difference I suppose. /r/MGTOW26/03/18 04:49 PM

I disagree, but that's fine. I'd say we shame the men who fall for things women, betas, cucks, manginas, whiteknights etc etc do. We point those things out, and yeah sometimes its in a harsh or satirical way, but we shame our own members and keep them more than I can say for any other sub out there. We are honest, it seems.
/r/MGTOW26/03/18 04:44 PM
1

I hesitate to interupt here, but just a few things. That post you linked shows you have a seriously broad definition of "slut shaming", and like is described in a link below, this sub is a hospital. Here: When you say "I don't understand how MGTOW is good for men, because all I see are negative threads and complaints about women," you are saying something akin to "I don't understand how this hospital is good for health, because all I see are diseases and injuries here."

/r/MGTOW23/03/18 11:06 PM
1

So the gazelle deserves to live more than the lion deserves to eat? Why would a gazelle deserve a better life than the lion? Im gonna guess this will eventually lead to us respectfully disagreeing, as my opinion is that you are naive and altruistic to a fault, and who really changes anyones opinions on the internet anyway. Hey, you're choosing to read bold words that way, I'd say its up to interpretation.
/r/MGTOW23/03/18 10:22 PM

Hey, don't tone police the guy. Hes right though, in nature no one deserves anything. It's man unnatural law of order that has everyone confused, conflating what's natural with what's logical. Does a gazelle deserve better than to be eaten by the lion?

No no the answer is just a bit further down "However, Carter and his colleagues point out that virtually all of these studies have used self-report data." Its like if they surveyed men and women asking who lied more often, you get the complete opposite of the truth. The results of the survey would show men lie more. But the truth is that men tell the truth about lying more. Who actually knows who lie more.
/r/MGTOW21/03/18 05:10 PM

I dont trust peoples opinions, even of themselves. As time goes on I seem to be getting better at deducing someones political alignment, especially after a few interactions. I've noticed that people who say they lean one way can sometimes act another. I dont believe they are lying, just naive. I met a girl who called herself traditional, but turned out she just like the style of dresses they wore in the 50s. She was a femenist and didn't know it

From what I recall, he worked as a patent clerk because it occupied his conscious mind and let his subconscious work on his formulas. AWALT serves as a reminder. That their true nature exists whether they are suppressing it or not, that nature is there. I dunno, but even if they do they are now caught in the lie. I've never seen a female stop using makeup, for any reason. They find new trends, change the way they do it. They 're-invent' themselves regularly, because their makeup is intrinsically tied to their sense of self.
/r/MGTOW02/03/18 06:09 PM

I came here to say they were competing with other women too. upvoted stead. Delusions of grandeur. They see marginally pretty gold diggers be successful, and with body acceptance and the widening (pun intended) beauty standards women dont have to put more effort than just applying makeup to be 'just as pretty' (and therefor just as deserving of that success) as that marginally pretty gold digger.

I really don't see how it could be worded any more clear? My only point here is that it really doesn't matter how you word it, the reality will play out regardless of your intentions.

You think cause you typed a sentence you're going to get your way? Think Fox or MSN cares? Hell, I dont care. You wont get your way, I dont think it'll go how you think it will. I state clearly in the first sentence of the post that the protests will be non violent. If violence happens then it is not my responsibility So will it be violent or not? You're organizing the protest, shouldn't you be considering this?

Usually a protest is worded as being against something. Make sure you are always clear, it will be easy to manipulate it to make it sound like you are protesting equality. Protesting against Inequality is a bit confusing here as well. Protesting against feminism makes sense, but again, paints you out to be the villain, in the public eye, since that is what we are interested in addressing. I think you should consider how your enemies will spin it. Women march these days. They are marketing their …

they look at their faces in the mirror and think to themselves 'how do i make myself pretty?' so they cover their ugliness up with makeup, and practice contorting their face until they find something acceptable and then do that in all photos. Then, since they put so much effort into finding that pretty person, they decide that who ever they were in the moment the photo is taken will be their whole being. Thus begins the struggle of maintaining a lie, which doesn't make great people.

Loneliness doesn't have to be a bad thing, and for a MGTOW I wouldn't recommend suppressing it entirely. Time eases the loneliness of being single, but the loneliness from missing friends and family shouldn't be ignored. Your emotions are tools you can use to identify areas of your life that could use improvement. Suppressing your loneliness is like disabling the light behind your check engine indicator.

TRP and the like are very different from MGTOW. While they are about comparing men and women and about their place in society, MGTOW is more selfish. Its about refusing to make sacrifices for other people, to care for yourself and grow as an individual, to do what ever YOU want. You become MGTOW when you stop using societies lens to validate your life. Its about working towards what you want, and theres nothing wrong with having a selfish reason for wanting the world to be a better place.

It makes 'victims' like your teacher. It's true that there is a difference between times of peace and times of war. During a war its in both sides best interests to restrict ideological travel, ie propaganda and the like. You want people to have the fewest opportunities to question their philosophy, so if you …

In my opinion happiness is over-rated, I simply aim to be content instead. Since it seems that dopamine or endorphin release is closely associated with happiness, it stands to reason that the more things in your life that release those chemicals will make you a happier person. Depends on how broken you see the world as. If you think it could get worse, then yeah, seeing a larger symptom could correlate with the problem getting worse. Correlation isn't causation. I don't know what world you're living in to be so pessimistic, and I'm sorry for it, but if all that was actually to happen we would have far bigger problems than gender equally to be talking about. And hey what if a bunch of guys wanted to organize, wouldn't that be them going their way too? Surely being a part of an organization doesn't mean one cannot be MGTOW. I probably still have my blockbuster card, does that mean I'm not MGTOW?

People aren't as evil as everyone gives them credit for, and politicians are far more vilified than they deserve. Sure there are and have been dishonest people in politics, but that doesn't mean politicians are dishonest. It wouldn't be political suicide if there were enough of us, and that was my point. That some day if MGTOW developed into some kind of organization, god forbid, it would be large enough to sustain MGTOW Politicians. I'd vote for you.

The world is changing, and on an individual level men are doing what helps. But MGTOW is only about helping the individual, and thats an issue. Perhaps its a result of the potentially incorrect line of thinking that MGTOW is a movement, so of course theres little impact on the system at large. I dunno Im spitballing here, better one of us finds the cracks in MGTOW than a someone hateful right?

It works but its less than ideal. Its treating the symptoms instead of the root cause. Don't get me wrong, I think MGTOW is really important, and acts as life preservers for so many men out there, but there is a danger it will be used as a crutch on the individual level. Everyone has to be introspective enough to know what helps them, and how far off the beaten path to tread. But I dont wanna get into a AWALT/NAWALT conversation here haha

You don't think the pendulum will swing back our way? Surely at some point we would either grow large enough to make an impact, or at least be a large enough demographic for our votes and stuff to be targeted by people seeking power.

For our benefit. Im a part of society, I can say Im going my own way but its naive to say that I am disconnected from the broader strokes of life. Sure I could go become a hermit on a mountain and never think on a societal level, but in my opinion that is too selfish a path I can take. Part of me envies those who do though. Its a good distinction to make though, the individualistic level or the system level. I like it.

I really appreciate you making this post, and I like the language you use. So thanks in advance. MGTOW seems more of a response than a solution. It isn't sustainable long term, unless it goes mostly un-noticed by society. And from a certain perspective it may be playing right into the hands of feminists, if they play it right that is. Allow me to explain. So a factor that plays into MGTOW is the high average standard set for men by women, and as a response we are taking paths of self discovery a…

Throughout my high school experience I had three major crushes Hold up right there because having a crush on someone IS NOT the same as being in a relationship. So far you have not demonstrated any experience that would justify you giving advice. these experiences should have turned me away from dating 3 passing crushes is not a strong motivator to going MGTOW, but everyone handles rejection differently I suppose. Dating and relationships are a major part of life. Not to a MGTOW they aren't, and…

That's a neat point. I guess that its the result of living in a patriarchy though, the laws are there to punish men because men were historically in charge and women were property. And now that women have equal rights, they dont have the laws built around them like men do. Makes me wonder if a matriarchal society was possible, would they be cutting out the tongues of naggers the same way we cut off the hands of thieves?

I like being friends with women, but the only way it seems to last is if I'm either also just as good friends with their boyfriend, or they're single. I've never been able to be a girls friend if her bf didn't like me. Also I have lost friends once they get a significant other who doesn't like me, but has only a happened twice. Mind you, that can happen regardless of gender.

This has been covered before, 3rd time im seeing this brought up and im pretty new to this sub. The problem with asking how tall people are is you are going to get skewed numbers, tall people are going to be more likely to give their heights and short people are less likely.

Yeah even when she was dancing with zombie boy, she looked like she was laughing the whole time, I honestly expected that mean girl moment before the show ended. Though to be fair it was more likely just awful child acting.

I agree, he almost seems MGTOW, family is his priority. He only hangs out with nancy when theres a reason to, they even had a scene about it. Hes not chasing her or being beta, honestly it just looks like hes doing his own thing most of the time. Guess we'll see if he simps in s3

Then I laughed so hard when even "zombie boy" was rewarded with a girl to dance with at the end. Ha yeah right. At least dustin had that red pill moment, star of the show right there.

I dont live in a cheap part of the world, and what savings I can manage I put towards tangible, real world things. Travel is great and all, but in my opinion wanderlust is over rated. Man thats awesome, we have really similar diets. I tell people I'm only keto when at the grocery store. I'll still go to restaurants and get a burger or order a pizza when playing board games, but I figure so long as I dont regularly bring sugars and carbs into my apartment then I wont eat them haha And yeah I tried to only have dinner if I can make it through the day. I drink coffee in the morning, maybe eat an apple for lunch, and have an office job so dont need a ton of energy

This is certainly not a PUA thing, and depending on the attitude, could even be a decent strategy for avoiding unwanted interactions. Better than just saying "sorry im gay" OP mentions to use this on women who are "a female that is either mildly or REALLY attracted to you" so not just on anyone. But by this rule I think some of us are going to be ruled out of playing. I cant remember the last time a girl approached me at the bar anyway, though to be fair, I'm not tall.

More fat, less carbs, but keep the protein up. And coffee isn't as unhealthy as its made out to be, and caffeine is quite good for you, as far as drugs are concerned. https://www.caffeineinformer.com/top-10-caffeine-health-benefits I follow a Ketogenic diet, very little carbs and sugars, even natural sugars like fruits, since we've been manipulating the plants to have more and more natural sugars in them they are basically not good for you anymore.

Man you need to find a cathartic hobby to channel that rage into. Get a fishing license and kill some fish while at the same time saying a big f-you to society by providing for yourself. Take up a martial art and learn to take care of yourself in case a white knight comes after you. I took up carpentry so I can hack away at a block of wood, while at the same time learning to build things with my own hands, one day I hope to build my own boat. You can turn that rage into motivation if the reason …

I'd recommend giving it a quick read, even on a wiki article. It describes the 4 types of play, and its useful for figuring out which games you enjoy and why? For me Im a good mix between social and achiever. Gimme that skill tree and a friend list and I'll play it, haha Heres a link to a wiki page about it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bartle_taxonomy_of_player_types The big tent pole games will do their best to cater to all 4 types. /r/MGTOW05/10/17 10:28 PM

well there are certainly plenty of good new games, the indy scene is full of em. But as far as online games go it gets harder to find challenging online games with an active community. Its like with movies, they dumb it down, simplify it and slap pg13 on it, just made for the widest possible audience.

I went back to Vanilla WoW on the Elysium Project servers. Back before they introduced all the quality of life stuff, the game is actually challenging and its a nice nostalgia trip too. I agree though, most online games tend to be made for the widest audience, which means making it simple and unsatisfying overall. The money is still in targeting kids. Oh and Garrys Mod RP servers

Being MGTOW is not a free pass to be a lesser human being. If he cares for someone and wants to help, then wouldn't it be nice for experienced members give aide, don't attack the guy for being optimistic. This is a serious issue though. There is already a stigma connected to MGTOW, and I'm not saying it should be anything other than what it is, I can just say what I want it to be. I'd like to be just as proud to say I'm MGTOW as feminists are of their title. I have friends who I cant talk to abo…

Man, I totally know what you mean. You missed one that I see all the time: "love to have fun" or Fun-loving" Well no duh, who doesnt. Its these blanket non-statements that sound nice but mean nothing. And the only reason I think they write that is because tinder has a bio section. Its not important to them anyway so no real effort needs to be put in. Just my two cents.

I'm here for fairly similar reasons. I moved from a small town where I did fairly well for myself in regards to dating, to the big city where my dating game tanked. And through taking a deep look at myself to identify why, I discovered that finding a woman was my highest priority. Above my own happiness, and from removing dating from my list of priorities I have become a happier more fulfilled individual. No major inciting incident with a woman, though I feel bad for my next girlfriend when/if o…

Don't forget that she is being paid to treat you that way. it feels natural and easy because she is clearly good at her job, and if she is as good as you say then she should be able to help you through understanding why you would catch the feels with her. I don't think its impossible that she could be feeling the same way, but its already an unfair dynamic, do you really want to date your psychiatrist? Imagine the arguments, good grief.

I agree with you here. All women are like that, but to what degree? I think trust is subject to your expectations. If you expect women to have awful traits, then you can trust that they will eventually show them. But I can only hope that there is a threshold. Where if there is little enough of that trait in a woman then she wont act upon it.

yup The fact that there are extreme version of AWALT leads me to think it a scale and not a binary system. Which also means there should be extremes in the opposite direction. Take Hypergamy for example. Its hard to debate that someone isn't hypergamous at all. Even in my own past relationships I can identify one ex as more hypergamous than the other. Ideally, what do we want? Women to acknowledge their hypergamy, and not let it sway their life choices? Are there any women like that yet? Also, d…

regardless of whether or not men are interested in them, educated women have raised their standards so high there is not enough "smart" men to go around. Never mind men who check off all the same boxes as them and more. The way the article reads just sounds like this 22 year old is complaining she cant find someone just as interested in her as she is.
