I had the worst luck with trying to find someone and for some, I settled for a friend. But, the reason I ended up with her was because I took a break from looking and the quality time we shared became longer and more frequent that it evolved into something more. I mean we both joke that 10 years ago we never would have thought this would happen but I’m happy being with her.

I’ve always been nice and kind and I’m happy I never tried to change because it finally led to finding a wonderful relationship with a close friend that I never expected.

Honestly, it would be funny story to tell later on if things ever got serious. But if we are in person having a good vibe, I’m not letting a tinder incident change it.

I wouldn’t say I’m entitled to it. I hope to one day be able to earn but that part is solely on me.

From this personally anecdotal evidence, it’s a weird transition of minor jealously when my women friends find out I’m talking to a woman, but followed by extreme elation when I’m officially dating someone. Then it becomes swarms of double date invitations and waiting to meet her. I could be misinterpreting the jealously part but when rumors hint at me showing an interest in someone they asks questions and then abruptly stop inquiring and respond to me with one word answers like they’re upset bu…

I would want women to have all of those points. I wouldn’t want a society where anyone has an unfair advantage over another.

I would say from personal experience that isn’t always the case. I’ve had women that were 10 years my junior develop an infatuation with me at my workplace quite regularly. However, that was mid 20s women where I’m mid 30 and while flattering I politely decline. I would say I doubt there are regular amounts of mid 40s attracting 18 year olds with ease.

I’m a simp, incel, beta whatever the hell one would call it. So I used this sub to basically cease my desire to be with a woman. Ironically, finally not focusing on looking for women to date has opened up a flood gate of women flocking toward me.

I wouldn’t leave a partner that was boring as long as she was committed to the relationship. If it’s someone who enjoys hobbies that many might not find stimulating but she does, I’d be ok with it. If we’re together and she doesn’t utter a word the entire time or barely wants to make plans to hang out, then I’d leave because I’d feel she’d have no interest in me.

I highly doubt it’s a normal occurrence but in my last job I was involved in three separate sexual harassment allegations from female coworkers. None of whom I ever interacted with. I eventually left the job because I wasn’t going to be there for a fourth.

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible but you aren’t wrong either. I have a close friendship with a woman and I did eventually find myself thinking about her as something more but I just manage to talk myself out of pursuing anything until those feelings subsided on their own. While I like her, we share too many differences that would just conflict within a romantic relationship. And in the end the friendship I have with her is enough.

I just don’t have much success with the relationships I did have and I’m not very successful or attractive enough that women would see me as anything other than a one night stand. It’s also gotten to the point I just can’t summon any will to ask a woman out anymore. I can’t visualize anything other than her saying no so I just don’t bother.

I was very shy when I was younger and typically when a girl remotely said hi to me I certainly overthought things and because probably to clingy and reeked of desperation. I also wasn’t the athletic type and more into nerd stuff so high school never presented any romantic opportunities. In college, I took signals from my friend the wrong way and confessed feelings for her which she didn’t have and the fallout of that led me to self-harm, which I never told anyone about. And then I became more in…

Generally don’t like myself. Don’t think I’m deserving of a relationship. Don’t think I’m attractive at all. I think I come off as needy and desperate so I tend to ignore women which in turn probably makes them think I’m a weirdo. Had two girlfriends, been cheated on by both girlfriends. Feel like I have a crap ton of mental insecurities but really no outlet to explore and solve them so I just cope in a variety of potentially unhealthy ways. And I do work out, I’m relatively physically fit, but …

So my grandmother, mother, and sister stop bugging me to get married. As of now I’m not actively looking for a relationship because I just don’t have that internal drive to want one. I have this one friend that I really enjoy being around a lot who has a bubbly personality and generally plays off my more cynical sense of humor with her playful style. I don’t get upset who women date or sleep with. Not my business or concern. The only thing I generally don’t like are the occasions I’m dragged into other peoples relationships issues. Outside of that, dating in my opinion is the only time you ought to be the most selfish. You’re ideally looking for someone to get hot and sweaty with and exchange a bunch of gross liquid, so might as well be with someone who looks good.

I generally think if I were super fit and rich, I’d be ironically a worst version of myself. I’d be less humble and probably sleep around with as many women as I could. But I don’t think it would really make me happy in the long run either. But on the other side, I’m socially awkward and more interested in companionship, but being unsuccessful in dating turned me into a bitter asshole. I mean the woman I’m with doesn’t want kids and I do but that hasn’t caused any rifts. We enjoy our time together and for now that’s more than enough. Desires need to be balanced with reality. I generally thought this was the accepted outcome when a friend attempts to make things more. It’s either romance or the friendship has to end because it’s just going to be really freaking awkward when the two of you hang out. I wouldn’t say I outright ghosted someone but I reduced my time around them until eventually we went our separate ways.

I don’t speak for anyone other than myself but my ex had an abortion and it ended up killing our relationship. That was a decade ago and I’ve been celibate ever since. But generally speaking I always thought abortion benefitted men more than women. Guys could have a ton of unprotected sex and the woman could get rid of the pregnancy and any latent consequence later on affects the woman rather than the guy.

It’s honestly just giving me a very pessimistic view on dating in general. I mean the stuff thrown around has help me decide what issues I firmly stand on and which I do not. But overall, I think it’s sadly made me see women in a more negative light. Not anything malicious, but I don’t even bother asking anyone on dates anyone.

My parents hammered money and education so much in my youth that I pretty much postponed dating until I reached financial security. I feel like if I didn’t reach it yet, I wouldn’t be looking for someone. And honestly I feel like unless she was someone with extreme debt or spending habits, her finances would still be a secondary issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 10:24 PM
1

I mean personally I’ve dated women that worked minimal wage in retail and it didn’t stop me from wanting to ask them out. I have money so financial issues isn’t the void in my life I’m hoping to fill. The companionship aspect of dating is what I’m after, so a woman who is pleasant to be around is worth more to me than a millionaire. Now a combination of both is the dream but I’m willing to compromise a bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/23 09:56 PM

I have. We’ve dated for a bit but things didn’t work out between us.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 05:23 PM

Every girl I dated approached me first. Mostly because I was completely oblivious they were into me.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/23 05:22 PM
2

I would say I more envious of other men having a girl when I don’t more than other men having a more attractive partner than mine. When I was dating, my girlfriend who was probably at best a six would have my whole attention that a whole swarm of tens could be hovering around me and I’d pay them no attention. Now that I’m single, it’s not the attractiveness of a woman that’s my concern but a desire to have someone by my side.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/23 04:45 PM
2

I never ask anyone out or involve myself in situations were I could ask anyone out. I generally work and sleep. Unfortunately, my view of women is also negatively skewed a bit because of my experience with previous ex’s and female family and friends. I’m also not confident in my ability to ask out a girl so I don’t bother trying because I feel like I can’t get hurt if I’m not rejected.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/23 05:11 PM
2

It would depend on how strong our trust levels is in the relationship. I had a girlfriend who would frequently be uncomfortable with me getting a coffee with a female friend after work. And likewise I felt uncomfortable with her hanging out with male friends because of well let’s say her history. It’s unfortunate but it was what it was.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 10:17 PM
1

My social circle is probably 2/3rds women and I’ll say while I am only just friends with them, if the opportunity to sleep with them came up I wouldn’t say no. That being said I’m not actively trying to make any moves on them. Usually it’s more of a hypothetical if the world is going to end in a half hour, might as well type of thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/23 10:02 AM

I’m kind of curious as to why anyone would really care that someone like me is single and lonely. Clearly women aren’t into me romantically so does it really matter in the end?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/23 08:49 PM
3

I’m too mentally insecure to approach a girl I like even if I know they like me. I have zero confidence in myself to not mess things up and living in solitude seems easier than facing whatever issue is preventing me from making a move.

As much as I love kids, their kids were clearly the priority in the relationship, as they should, and I wasn’t. It would depend on the situation and the person. I wish I could act all alpha male and assertively say no I won’t raise another man’s kid. But I’ve legally agreed to raise my brothers children in the event of a tragic fate. In addition, many of my cousins remarried with their family becoming a semi-Brady bunch mixed family and all around much happier than they were with their prior spouses. I’ve also dated some single mothers already. I feel like the biggest obstacle in not raising another man’s…

Same view as anyone else really, I knew some bisexual men who were just normal everyday guys and some who were insufferable idiots. I would say the insufferable ones were the type whose mere existence seem to revolve around telling everyone they were bisexual and trying to bring every conversation toward sexual fantasies or descriptions. Outside of that, bisexual men are not really anything I dwell upon.

I would say it depends on the age of the child. If they were toddlers (in the case of one of my cousins), I would try to just keep it focused on telling them their parents still love them and leave anything involving the separation a secret so their relationship with the parents don’t suffer. If they were teenagers (as in the case of my other cousin), they’re probably going to figure it out and favor the wronged parent.

Overall not really, I’m anti-abortion and generally my ideal partner would be someone who shares that belief. Also, I should mention that I haven’t dated or had any relationship in about 9 years. The reason mostly because my last relationship ended because my girlfriend had an abortion and while it was her decision, I just couldn’t be around her anymore. I am right leaning. But in a relationship common interest would be a start, since I’m kind of a nerd I’d ideally like a woman whose one as well. I want sex if it comes naturally. I don’t like the idea of either party trying to pressure the other if things aren’t going well. Some girls I’ve dated we’ve had sex on the first date and others it was well over a month into the relationship until we were comfortable enough to start being intimate. I’ll be honest I’m an outlier when it comes to sex. I generally don’t pursue a relationship for sex and generally want a relationship for other reasons.

It’s a valid preference. Unfortunately, I had to move back into my parents house after my father’s death. It certainly was the biggest decision of my life, take care of my mother who has various health issues or live on my own to pursue dating. While the option of being able to ask a woman on a date is pretty much no longer an option for me, I felt more of an obligation to take care of the person who bore me than getting laid. Mostly because I don’t get any sense that the feelings are reciprocated. I have acted on a couple attractions in the past and they were promptly shut down. So if I develop an attraction I just tend to ignore it. I feel like if they were interested in me, they’d send some type of signal.

I wouldn’t say women in general are to blame but the fallout from my prior ex girlfriends has sort of driven me away from pursuing any real relationships. I frequently get flirted and probably could get into a relationship, but some unresolved anger just keeps me from wanting to.

I’m a male red pill. Also, mostly a lurker and just using this lovely subreddit as a support when I feel lonely and need some good examples of why I shouldn’t pursue a relationship. Been in a string for bad relationships and honestly red pill and black pill mentality kind of shifted my perception of women to stop viewing them as something I need in my life. So just say talking the long way round to get to a more positive mental state.

I wouldn’t say devastated but I did immediately lose all affection I had for my ex when she cheated on me. Your trust in her is gone. On some level your dignity is attack. If she ended the relationship and started seeing someone else, it would sting but whatever life goes on. But when she looks you in the eyes, smiling, and telling you she loves you while secretly sleeping with someone else. It’s quite an experience of emotions, especially if you genuinely cared about them.

As a man, I fully agree. It’s what everyone should be doing. From my personal experience I don’t really get the need to have sex so much. I’ve had it maybe a dozen times tops with the same woman. Always with protection and always with the understanding that if she got pregnant I would have to raise that child. I don’t think it’s rude. I’ve never remained friends with women once I made my feelings know . For me, it’s an all or nothing moment. I either succeed or have to leave. It’s not because I’m angry but because I don’t see how a friendship can be maintained when one partner knows the other views them in a romantic sense. It can create a situation where one person can use that affection to manipulate the other or undo pain for the the person when their object of affection begins dating.

From my personal experience it’s usually the opposite. I tend to have some uncanny skill with children which tends to be shocker since I’m usually shy and quiet. Overall, I think now my hesitance to date a single mom again has more to do with my own mother projecting dating standards on me than my own personal feelings.

Life is cruel. My experience was this girl I met freshmen year in college. She was completely outgoing and friendly which help my introverted personality develop more sociably. After a couple years, we would always be taking and texting and I still remember this feeling developing in me for her. One day she gives me this long hug and a kiss on the cheek and to this day the feelings I had for her that day I never had again. She use to joke about where our wedding was going to be held. So my idiot…

I’m a red piller and I believe women should not be in the kitchen because my sister sucks at cooking and I’m infinitely better than her. But seriously I’m a red pill and I feel without a doubt my side is infected with men who want women to be to fit certain roles to suit their beliefs. I do believe in equality but I don’t feel either side truly wants equality but rather supremacy.

Yes and no. One one hand I feel more financially stable and can do what I want. But having a decent size house with a lot of money and nothing but solitude it’s kind of a mixed bag of feelings. Edit: I’ve never been successful with asking a girl out. Despite being in decent shape and having good looks I’m painfully awkward and nervous when trying to ask someone out. So the regret is more toward when I babysit my sisters children and how they always get super excited staying over my house. I’ll p…

And also it’s to focused on sex being about “me” feeling good. I’m late 30s and sex needs to be a we thing. I want to be with my partner and share this moment with her. I don’t know if there is something I could tell virgins out there is sex is a tad overrated. It’s way too glamorized and like any substance, should not be used as a crutch for emotional trauma. First time I had sex was the aftermath of my fathers death. And I was angry and bitter and after I lost my virginity: the anger was still there. I needed someone to hold me and let me grieve and not tell me to always be strong and stoic. So while I do feel it’s a duty to try to help people whenever possib…

Damn you’re no fun. I don’t this topic is silly. I’m not entirely joking that sex is a huge responsibility. It’s not something that should be used for trivial purposes. There are potentially life changing consequences when having sex. If someone is suicidal because they aren’t getting sex they need a therapist not a hooker.

Of that I cannot agree. If I have a gift that is capable of saving lives. I must do it. It’s basically the core philosophy of with great power comes great responsibility. And I intend to find a group of like minded people out there. A group known as the Sex-Men.

Just because I’m goal oriented towards having sex doesn’t negate me being a nice guy. I’m a nice guy to everyone who deserves it. I do that because I do that with everyone.

I won’t lie I do allow past failed relationships to basically sabotage any attempt at finding a new one because I really don’t want to get hurt again. That being said, I don’t judge the character of others for the actions of a few. Just don’t want to be alone sometimes. It’s true, a woman’s career and level of education is more of an after thought. You want someone kind, warm, and affectionate. And not affectionate meaning high libido but someone who loves to cuddle and hold you a lot. I work several jobs and sometimes the strain of them and coming home to an empty house, tired and sore, just sucks. I have hobbies but sometimes they eventually just don’t mean much. For me I just view it as any other job. I’d be a hypocrite to criticize them when I’ve had to go to strip clubs for bachelor parties and work functions. I’ve had generally nice conversations with strippers so I don’t view them as anything less than myself. They’re doing what they got to do to survive. Damn where are you at? I was hospitalized a few years back and due to high fever I wore just a hospital gown and all the nurses were extremely nice and accommodating when it came to me having to use the bathroom and even washing me with cool water to help reduce my fever. If anything they went above and beyond to try to make me feel relaxed about being underdressed, both male and female nurses. Sorry you went through that.

I’m from and US and in the aftermath of the BLM riots, my company went above and beyond to put female and people of color in core leadership roles and according to rumor pushed out current white male employees from leadership positions and forcing them to take demotions. Needless to say in less than a year my company has turned to shit and with the current job market right now people are jumping ship. People were put into leadership roles not based onexperience and only for demographic reasons. …

Pretty sure this is me. Got really close and friendly with a girl and casually tried to see if she wanted it to me more. For the most part she politely declined and I moved on to other prospect and then would get blown up later with texts from her and her friends about how I played games with her. I honestly can say I don’t miss college that much.

Sorry but isn’t the entire legal principle that it’s better for 10 guilty people to go free than one innocent person wrongfully convicted. I don’t support anyone being the victim of a crime and I find it extremely abhorrent when any statistic of wrongful convictions are dismissed because of a low percentage. Even if 1 % of people are wrongly convicted of a crime it should be treated as an outrage.

The raw deal is circumstances beyond your control happen. She sat on the knowledge she put her dad in jail for 9 years. This wasn’t something she felt guilt for in a couple months and recanted. If that were the case than I’d agree. Get her counseling and probation tops. 9 years knowing you put someone away that didn’t need to be needs to be answered for. None of it mitigates or excuses her actions. Live isn’t fair and people unfairly get a raw deal. But regardless you have to be held accountable for your actions. Same as anyone else. Some are good people who share similar interests and are easy to work/socialize with. And others are people who have bad traits that make you not want to bother with. I enjoyed the first three season a little more than four and five. I liked the whole Cold War between Earth and Mars. Four and five the battle sequences improved a little, but the focus on some characters seemed detrimental to the plot.

I watch classic episodes of Doctor Who and The Expanse. Just a heads up the shows aren’t for everyone. As for movies I’m kind of looking forward to Dune. Never read the book but looks interesting. Tv and movies as of late have lost so much in quality.

Have a “friend” who is dating a woman easily 10-15 older than him with kids. Show me a picture of her asking if I thought she was hot and how much it was important to him that I said she was. She wasn’t. Now not ugly as hell but clearly a woman who has lived a rather long life and no longer in her prime. Tried to warn him off but honestly just got to tired.

Hard decision. Do you choose loyalty to your friends or the integrity of a stranger? But first and foremost, his car his rules and his friends abide by those rules. However, I think he should choose new friends because his action isn’t something I feel can be patched up. I wouldn’t be surprised if his friend didn’t assault him the first chance he got.

Credit to where credit is due I guess. Just started with a new company and the sexual harassment training actually included women as the perpetrator of the harassment and encourages men to report situations where they felt uncomfortable. First time that I ever witnessed that. A funny bit of irony is this place has three women working here who are all close to pushing 60 so not sure if that’s even going to be an issue.

I think there are a good portion of women who generally are and I feel there is a large portion that say they are for some perceive social status. It’s not that much of a stigma associated with women being in close physical proximity to one another as with men. So claiming you are Bi can be simple one time in college you got drunk and kissed another woman.

I only watch one television show during the week because most of it is unappealing. And this one I’m sure will eventually lead to the same direction. It’s Superman and Lois on the CW. During the golden age of tv it would be mediocre but so far it’s pretty entertaining with family issues that aren’t unbearable. When the show finally reduces Superman to a supporting role I’ll jump ship but so far it’s mindless entertaining.

Commit to what exactly? In the old days, when you got married you at least got her father’s military support. Modern day marriage is pretty pointless. A relative recently got divorced to the shock of many but divorce in general is high in my family. My grandparents and parents generation generally had marriages lasting them into their golden years, but their children and grandchildren barely last a decade being married. I truly don’t see what benefit there is to being married.

I had female family members completely disregard my emotional state when my father passed telling me “to get over myself.” Now this was a month tops after the passing. Yet female members can milk the loss of their loved ones forever. And then they wonder why I became so cold and distant toward all of them.

I was the same way. The people you are describing was very much like my siblings and I was the more introverted type who was more likely to be into geekier stuff with a small group of friends than large crowds and being the center of attention. As long as you’re happy with what you are doing than you fine. I’m more happier going to a comic store with my friend and chatting her to death about why I need a new hulk statue than going to some party looking for drugs and someone to hook up with.

Sadly pretty tragic. My father worked 14 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide for us. Barely got to spend time with him outside of his vacation weeks. Truthfully no. And not all of it is the fault of a woman. I have personal issues that would negatively impact a relationship. If by chance there were someone out there I felt a strong connection with I wouldn’t be opposed to marriage. It’s sad but a good majority of my family is made up of either divorced or just generally unhappy married couple who can’t divorce for financial reasons that the prospect of marriage never looked like something positive. She’s a hardcore liberal in a mostly conservative family, so sadly you can’t have a conversation with her for longer than five minutes before she wants to debate some issue. Plus she believes we’re obligated to watch her gaggle of kids while she tries to find some some dude to sleep with. So while she’s family, I believe her ex escaped a toxic relationship.

Sad to say after I lost my virginity. I was a super simp who was desperate to get the affection of any girl and once I did the novelty wore off immediately. I had a similar situation with a lesbian friend/coworker of mine. She would get upset that I wouldn’t randomly text her at night asking about things and how’s she was doing. I just chalked it up to her being hormonal or some shit.
