Actually it's 19 plus. The police originally charged her for 19 accounts of perverting course of justice. She pleaded guilty to ten. As far as i am aware the police are not pursuing the other 9. In my experience it’s not even that they punish men more, it’s that they simply don’t know what to do with them. When I’ve asked for help the response wasn’t treatment, it was basically discharge and “good luck.” It feels less like a system designed to treat male distress and more like one designed to move it somewhere else.

Based on that Parliament report on male sucided you posted before it mentioned that men act out differently getting into fights or taking risks. I wonder what stats would look like including “death by misadventure” or the precursor doing dangerous behaviours (not avoiding fights, driving fast, doing risky sport, etc) broken down by gender.
