Perhaps imagining how such "teasing" about your weight would make you feel could help you realize how he feels? I'm not saying anybody needs to lose weight.

As women, we are subconsciously raised in a culture of fear -- men are, too, but they have testosterone, which lessens its effect. Part of the ramifications of this are that we feel our actions cannot be controlling. If your husband "teased" you about your weight in the same way, would you be hurt?

u/murkyperspective767 shields me from the more toxic members of his family -- his sectarian sister, classist brother-in-law, sectarian mother, various uncles, aunts, and cousins. His brother and sister-in-law are fantastic, though. As is he -- should be assumed, but it just isn't said enough. He pretends his toxic family doesn't exist and we are able to maintain household harmony as a result.

Media (social, mainstream, written, what have you) is all about the unexpected. We live in London. There were 22 deaths in the last month. During the same time period, there were 0 murders in Bradford. West Yorkshire. Does this mean that London is less safe than Bradford? No, it does not. Crime in London is rare, hence when it happens, the media blows up about it, whereas in Bradford, it is commonplace, so only the more extreme crimes are reported.

u/murkyperspective767's fund would have trips to the local strip club, at least once a quarter. None of we partners -- as we weren't married for most of the time -- were listened to when we objected to the practice. In the end, I, at least, didn't see it as a big deal, as he would always come home to yours truly. But, I trust him completely.

If you can't trust your partner enough to show your financials, you have no business getting married.

It can't hurt to prepare for your, presumably, red pilled future and your future-focus is admirable. However, my husband never ceases to remind me, when I'm reading college admissions catalogues for Oxbridge, that our daughter is scarcely 4, won't be in a position to sit for her AGCSEs for 14 years yet, and the world will have changed in unforeseeable ways between now and then. So, I need to focus on the present as well as planning for the future. Incidentally, u/murkyperspective767 is the oppos…

We celebrated 8 years together last December. The longer I stay with him, the more I appreciate his predictability. Whether it is how he just knows when I need my neck rubbed and drops everything to cater to that need or how he keeps my daughter from crying by matching or exceeding her 4-year energy levels at 44, he predictably and reliably follows through on his word.

He is ALWAYS looking for a new job Two possible reasons for this: He works in a field, like finance or infotech, where jobs are fleeting and can disappear without warning. He grew up in an environment where the first point was true. My husband sounds similar. However, one of the first things he did was to enlist my help. He explained his situation to me and we now spend an hour every week looking for a job to apply to together - one for me and one for him. We celebrate each other's successes and…

you wouldn’t date a Red Pilled Man? No, I would not. And here's an illustration as to why... One of my (unfortunately deceased) cousins-in-law (or cousin-in-laws, which is it?) was a self-described "red-pilled man" - always on about "lifting", being in the gym, "spinning plates", "breaking plates", etc. In other words, he learned his jargon from the male red pill sub, before it was quarantined. First time I met him was at in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary, when I happened upon him making fun of …

Sorry to read of your job loss. limerence Thanks to your post, I learned a new word. suicide Suicide is a permanent solution to a non-permanent problem. At times, it may seem permanent and there's no way out, but the one way to guarantee we'll never get out is to resort to that. When it comes to men, some are abusive. Some are not. I define type A and type B by who benefits from the act in the short term -- if it's oneself, then it's type A, else it's type B. If a random male prevents a rape, he derives no benefit from the act, it is a selfless act. On the other hand, my remit at work is to delay the offset of breast cancer. While this is somewhat selfish -- I'm a breast cancer survivor myself -- the primary beneficiary is the half of humanity that shares my anatomy.

Type A's do well at work -- I'm married to one, but u/murkyperspective767 knows when to turn it on and off. For example, we were going back to our car after dinner, when we saw a guy and a girl yelling at each other. When he raised his arm to hit her, my husband grabbed his hand, to keep it from hitting her. After she'd gone out of the firing line, he said to guy, "Not in my presence, ok?" and the guy slowly nodded. Husband said "happy Valentine's Day" and we went off. He's definitely a successf…

if he were a husband things would be different Hard no. Being married does not equate to lowering expectations, full stop. I'm sorry, but if I'm going to bear your child, take care of the house, make everyone dinner, and be pleasant at all times, the very least you could do is imagine me in whatever outfit you want me in and not demand I wear it for you.

My husband chose to attend his mother's funeral without me. But he did tell me and keep a FaceTime connection open, so I could observe, which I did. It was a beautiful ceremony. My husband demonstrated how he'd be as a marriage partner, but never asked me outright to be his girlfriend. He was taking care of me while I had cancer and his brother said that "you better make her your girlfriend, if you're going to take care of her in this state" as a tease. I told him that if I survive, I'd like him to be my husband; to which he said "we'll revisit the topic when you're better. I promise". Well, this was 11 years ago and we've been happily married 8 years.

This strikes me as keeping score, in a sense, and that is something my husband and I have agreed explicitly will not happen in our household. My father kept a whiteboard on our fridge with our names and chores to do daily and it made me resent to do anything around the house. And, of course, his only chore was listed as "bring home a paycheque" every week.

Is grass really greener on the other side? In some respects, it will always be, in others, not so much. Marriage is invariably a compromise. My husband is, I think, a centimeter taller than me. I like wearing heels and having the guy tower over me. So, in this sense, he's not a match. But, on our third date, I had a cancer scare. Husband's father's neighbour in Brussels has a daughter, who behaves as you describe. Whilst hubby's not insensitive and I have, I feel, healthy self-esteem, it does hurt a little when we all hang out together, though I know that, by including me, and making sure it's not at her place, she's less likely to try anything.

It depends on where one starts and ends up. To wit: If I'm 150cm and 80 Kilos -- 80/(1.5 x 1.5) or 35.6, obese according to the CDC formula -- a large amount of fat loss, coupled with replacing fat with muscle is more important for your health (and, therefore your SMV). I took the advice of the top-level comments and went to the "party". I use ditto-marks because we entered and the hostess told us that no one else was coming in tears and she was so appreciative that he had. Said she'd been drinking all day and had a headache. So, husband went out and brought bananas, cut them, put them in a bowl and had her have them, saying a friend's primary concern is that their mate is healthy and a headache isn't a sign of good health. After this, I decided that we should …

I'm not sure who initiated the reconciliation on MiLs deathbed -- whether it was FiL or husband, but have a weak suspicion it was the latter. If said suspicion is correct, I don't want to stay with someone who doesn't want me there. If FiL told MiL that, "enough is enough, you're dying, you need to understand that you are the past and /u/LiteratureOk7716 is his future, so give her your blessing before you go", then I'm more inclined to go than if it was hubby that told her. College is a proxy for class in the US. If you make it through the years of education, it indicates that your family has the means to forgo their child working from 18 to however long it takes you to finish. While scholarships mitigate the sacrifice, when you consider that my brother had offers in the 6-figures multiple times during his tertiary education, which he refused as my family values academic accomplishment. Thank you, this is a part of the issue, I suspect. In my birth-family, mum would not do the chores that I'd neglected to do, she would wait for me to do them, whether it was the dishes or taking out the garbage. By contrast, his father -- as his mother's passed when he was young -- takes the view that chores are not tasks for one person, but merely tasks, as long as they get done, it matters not who does them and he's inherited this. I guess it's just going to take time to get used to it.

He thinks telling you that he put your shoes on the rack would disburb the harmony of the marriage? In aggregate, if he tells me things like "/u/LiteratureOk7716 , you forgot... so I did and put ... in the ..." enough times, he thinks it will make for unhappy home life.

The problem is that he does things, like putting shoes on the shoe rack, hanging my purse on the doorknob -- all without telling me out of fear of disturbing "harmony in the marriage".
/r/RedPillWomen09/08/23 06:13 AM

The shoe issue is that while they should be on the rack and, yes, I did not put them there. Husband needs to tell me where he put them, if he moves them. But, to him, this amounts to criticising me because, in his mind, its a reminder to me of something else I forgot to do. He says this sort of criticism will lead to an unhappy home life. While I agree that it will if it's done 85 times/day, there is a question of degree that is lost upon him.

not to be overly critical when he forgets something. He doesn't seem to mind my criticising his memory either. His uncle, who raised him more than any other family member did, once forgot his car at the petrol pump and walked home in Glasgow. On coming home, he said "it's cold out!". His wife inquired, "didn't you drive to the petrol pump?" He smacked his forehead and said, "oh yes, I knew I forgot something".

Are you worried he’s not teaching responsibility or consequences to your daughter? Yes. I don’t see a problem here. The issue I'm trying to figure out how to raise with him is the need to tell me that "/u/LiteratureOk7716, I put your sandals in the shoe rack", so I don't spend 10 minutes looking for them.

Hubby's cousin says his temper is a result of being driven and seeing others not putting the same drive forth.
