What kind of leggings do you have? Fleece-lined leggings are really warm, imo. Long underwear is also good. I live in a cold environment, and fleece leggings + skirt and sweater is my go-to look. Maybe throw on a lined hoodie on top if I'm cold and lounging around. I also wore a ski-vest inside, when I first moved to a cold climate and was getting used to it.

You don't have to settle for it, and my SO doesn't watch/look at porn now, though he did in the past. And almost all men I know have done so at some point. I do think that because men and women are different, they are susceptible to different vices. In my opinion, the thing that makes men likely to watch porn, their visual nature, is also a thing I like about them. I like that my SO notices when I dress up and desires me, etc.

I do, but that's because I have generalized anxiety disorder XD. It's a sucky part of anxiety, because that feeling that something is off is supposed to help keep you safe. But when you always feel something is off, then you can't rely on that intuition anymore. I have to rationally analyze all those gut feelings.

One time I looked at the post history of a woman who made a sugar baby/goldigging type post, and it seemed some users on a sugar baby subreddit were recommending people post here for advice. I wonder if that's where this is coming from.

I've found men who preach feminism are usually less courteous towards women than the traditionalist guys I know. I've also found they commit more "microaggressions" than other men and are less receptive to hints/requests to stop the offending behavior. I find they're all talk. They're just as likely (or more likely) to talk over you, be condescending, be crude, or take advantage of you. If you try to set your boundaries using feminist rhetoric or talking points, it actually only makes it worse b…

I quit my physics program about halfway through, and it was a good call. The physics program was wrecking my mental health and not worth it. Alternatively, would you consider transferring to a less difficult/prestigious program? I've found it's a lot easier to handle being in a male-dominated field if you are at or near the top of your class. If you're average or a little below average, it's really hard. If you don't absolutely love the work, it's also really hard. There's a ton of other stuff y…

I've maintained my friendships with guys I met in college. But I don't really feel inclined to seek out new male friends. I enjoy male company when I go to social events, but I don't keep in touch with them after the events, in the same way I do with some of the women I meet. I'm not sure it'd be an issue for my relationship with my fiance, but it just feels weird to me to dm a guy I met at a party. I'm not sure my intentions would be super clear. To be honest, if a guy I met messaged me out of …

I mentioned in the comment above that I feel that I'm a very individualistic person Yeah, I view myself as fairly individualistic, especially when I was younger, and I also tend to have a short fuse. I used to get really mad at my siblings when they interrupted me with my homework, even if it was just to say hello. (Lol, yes, I know that makes me sound like a terrible person, but I promise I'm very nice). I think I mellowed out just with age, honestly. (Also, being overcommitted to school, and g…

I think the first step is to be aware when you are getting irritated/angry, and then consciously trying to calm yourself down or let it go. Breaking habits is hard, and it does feel unnatural, but if you keep doing it, it'll stop being so difficult. You might also try to identify an underlying problem. Are you low on sleep? Do you have anxiety or low self-confidence. For me, attributing negative thoughts to those issues is helpful. Like, "This isn't that big a deal, I'm just tired and overreacti…

I feel happier and more confident when I put in effort. When I was in college, I always dolled up more than usual for final exams, because it helped calm my nerves. My fiance also appreciates it. But I also wear glasses, don't do makeup often, and style my hair without heat. I mostly just do the beauty things I find relaxing and enjoy doing.

I think if you know it's just coming from that account, it's fine. I just think day trading is pretty addictive, and people are susceptible to sunk cost fallacy. (i.e. feeling the need to day trade more to make back some of the money day trading). Imo, it sounds like you are financially dependent on him to an extent, so you do have a right to make sure he doesn't gamble you into financial trouble.

My understanding of this sub is that it is defined by the idea that men and women are different. People are happier when they embrace those differences rather than seek to eliminate them. The second defining idea is that you can only control your own actions. It isn't helpful to tell somebody how all the people around them should change. Instead, advice is oriented around what an individual can do to improve their situation.

Do you know how much he's gambling daytrading? u/_Presence_ is totally right. It's likely he'll lose money, and it'd be terrible if it ate into your passive income or significantly set you back on your savings goals. You should make sure you've agreed on an amount that he can lose, and if he loses it, he's done with the day trading for a while. (Make sure it's an amount you're actually ok with losing. I told my fiance I'd be fine if he lost $n on day trading, and when he did lose 3/5ths of n, I …

My hair is pretty long and curly. I mostly just style it with leave-in conditioner, gels and curling cremes. (Sometimes I'll use a denman brush if I'm feeling really ambitious). I put my hair in two braids sometimes, and just tie it with hair elastics. I also know how to do literally one updo. It's this one. You do it by putting the hair in a bun. Then sort of twisting the bun around and shoving it back in on itself. (Lol, I'm sorry that's a terrible description). But anyway, I'll get a bejewele…

If I were you, I would continue to distance myself and try to change the topic when she starts talking about her desire to leave her husband, male attention on social media, etc. If necessary, you could politely ask her not to talk about this with you. When I was in college, I was interested in discussing dating strategies and approaches to life with my friends. They were friendly debates and I enjoyed them. Now that I'm engaged, planning a wedding, and preparing to have kids, I've definitely turned inwards, and have become more concerned with my own house. I feel like most people are similar. They have a period of intellectual exploration, then settle on the philosophy they want to live by. Once they've settled on a life philosophy, they're u…

Well, you need to find a guy first, which involves improving yourself (RPW has lots of advice on how to be feminine and attractive), going to social events, possibly online dating. I think there is an advantage to dating guys 1-3 years older than you. That's not much of an age gap, but at our age, those 1-3 years make a big difference in terms of financial independence. Of course you need to have a career right now. But I think it is perfectly ok to say, "this is what I'm doing right now, but I'…

What I do is go to social events, and if I have a pleasant conversation with them, I ask for their number or follow them on social media. Then I text/DM them and ask if they would like to get coffee or get some drinks. I often take the initiative in setting up social gatherings or meetups, and sometimes it does make me insecure. But, I really need to interact with people for the sake of my mental health. I find most people are happy to hang out, they just feel awkward about taking initiative. If…

My grandma was in a similar situation. She wanted to go out and get a job to help with the financial situation, and her husband really didn't want her to. One of her biggest regrets was spending so much of their marriage fighting about whether or not she should get a job. (He died at 55, so she didn't get that much time with him).

I do think there is a stigma I did have a friend from college who went to high school in Mississippi, and she said all the girls got up at 4am to curl their hair and put on fake eyelashes. She said if you didn't do that, then people would talk. She was shocked by how much less effort women at my college were expected to put in. So, I guess it might be a regional thing, that's just not present in my part of the midwest. (Or I'm totally oblivious to it XD)

I never put in the time or money to learn how to do makeup, and didn't wear makeup even when I had pretty bad acne in my teens. I think if you didn't wear makeup, you would probably get used to how you look and feel without it. I suspect you are also overstating men and women's aversion to women's bare faces. I agree that social media/advertisements are pushing unreasonable beauty standards, and it is a good idea to limit your media consumption for the sake of your mental health. That being said…

This is very good advice! I'm very similar to OP in that I'm very outspoken, love debate, and am well-educated. I do have a tendancy to lead conversations, especially with my more soft-spoken friends, who do percieve me as bold/dominant. It sounds like you need to have a frank chat about what is reasonable to expect from you. If you were extremely wealthy, you would likely have three people handling all the jobs you're doing (chef, maid, and nanny). It's not reasonable to expect one person to perfectly fulfill all these roles. He needs to help you with some of it or hire help. What you ask him to do would depend on his interests and abilities. I think it depends on your relationship with this woman. If my sister made a comment like that, I'd tell her that I thought that attitude would be disrespectful to her significant other and ultimately lead to her own unhappiness. I find my male friends tend to come and go, but I stay in contact with my female friends for significantly longer. Most of my male friends are circumstantial. They're buddies from college, work, or my hobbies. I tend to engage with them in group settings, either in person or through groupchats. Definitely with you on recommending OP use a condom. But it is a misconception that NFP/FAM only works if your cycles are super regular. That's only true for the rhythm method, which is really outdated. FAM has grown a lot in the past several years, and lots of women with irregular cycles use it successfully. (But yeah, you have to actually study a method and chart for a while. You can't go off of what your period tracking app says, which I imagine is what OP is talking about.)

I'm in the middle of wedding planning, and I think the shortest amount of time I could plan it in is 6 months. I think anything shorter than that would be stressful. The photographers and venues book up pretty fast. There's also so much little stuff that needs to get done, unless you're having a minimalistic wedding. My extended family also lives far away from me, so I think at least a 6 month notice is appreciated. If they lived closer and I had more people I felt comfortable asking to help me …

First of all, I don't think they should have said that SAHMs are "lazy" or "doing nothing." That is hurtful and disrespectful of the hard work that goes into raising children and cultivating a loving home. However, it's not super clear from your post, but are you married or have kids? I don't understand why this advice keeps being given out, despite the studies which show that couples who live together before marriage are more likely to get divorced. No, you're reasonable to think men should pay for the date. I've very rarely paid for first or even second dates, though I have insisted on splitting the bill if the date did not go well. (Even in the context of a long-term relationship, my fiance would pick up the bill on date night. Before we were engaged, I would venmo him half. Romantic Market Value. I sometimes use it when speaking specifically about desirability for a life-time commitment.

Being a mistress definitely hurts your RMV. You were willing to have sex without commitment, and even without the hope of future commitment. Why must your current romantic interest give you the commitment? It makes him self-aware that he isn't desirable enough to keep you without commitment. (Certainly, this doesn't mean that no man will commit to a woman who was a mistress, but this will make it harder) Among men who aren't interested in commitment-free sex, typically more traditional, it also …

The divorce rate for people with my level of religiosity and sexual experience is estimated at 5-10%. My demographics definitely contribute to my attitude. If I were in a group with higher divorce rates then I might be more amenable to a prenup. (I also wouldn't be a SAHM).

if you believe there is a 0% chance of getting a divorce, the expected utility for a prenup is 0. Naturally, choosing to expend the time, effort, and money for a prenup necessarily indicates you believe the chance of getting a divorce is greater than 0. (Unless you are an irrational actor) Certainly, if a guy was 95% certain that he and his wife would get a divorce, we would agree that he wasn't committed to the marriage. I'm going down the SAHM wife route, so I would need to be protected in the case of divorce. I wouldn't sign spousal support away. There are certain factors which might make a prenup seem reasonable to me (protecting a hefty inheritance or ownership of a family business) but neither my fiance nor I am rich enough to worry about that XD It also ties a judge's hands in terms of getting a fair outcome. The post was not "is Amy Coney Barret Exceptional?" The post was, "Is ACB a RPW Hero/feminine role model?" To which I say, "not necessarily." You can certainly learn from the way ACB presents herself, and it is nice to have representation of a feminine career woman. But this doesn't make her a role model for women as a whole. It makes her a role model for a particular group of women. In addition think there is a significant group of women who should actively not take ACB as a role model, because…

You can have respect for their accomplishments without feeling any resentment if you recognize that most women do not have the drive or the passion to excel this way. I really respect ACB. What everyone else as said is true, in that she is clearly very successful while being very feminine. I think women should watch her speak and notice what they find compelling about her, and try and adapt those elements to their life. However, I think women having her as a role model is somewhat dangerous, in the same way that physicists having Albert Einstein as a role model is somewhat dangerous. Yeah, that's why RPW encourages women to hold off on the sex/wife stuff until you get commitment. It's better to create a situation where men want to initiate commitment, rather than threatening to withdraw from the relationship if they don't commit. The former is RPW strategy. The latter often leads to resentment and frustration from both parties (and women often have a hard time going through on their threat to withdraw from an unsatisfying relationship).

I'm not sure it's "facts". I think the meaning of "I love you" evolves over the course of the relationship, and means different things to different people. I think developing a relationship is a gradual process, and I don't think there is a discrete transition from dating but not in love to dating and in love. Personally, I think love is a choice and an action, rather than a deep knowing of another person. I think you can be at a point where you are deeply committed to a person and willing to pu…

I've been on TRP exactly one time. But I think that's bad advice for committed relationships (my impression is TRP is mostly interested in spinning plates, so perhaps not applicable). I think men are the gatekeepers of commitment and women are the gatekeepers of sex. In my opinion, couples work the best when women set the pace in the bedroom, and men respect those boundaries. Honestly, I sometimes read those posts and think, "Why are they posting on reddit instead of talking to their partner?" I think a lot of the time, the reason that therapy gets brought up so much is that if you're at a point where you're asking for the opinions of internet strangers, there's a good chance there's been a breakdown in communication. I think it would be very strange if a man loves you to that extent when you first meet him. Similarly, I don't expect to meet the love of my life and magically know that he is a good man worthy of my devotion. I think that kind of attachment is cultivated. I don't think it's unrealistic for people to expect to be able to cultivate that kind of relationship unless they have neglected to work on and improve themselves.

In addition to what other people have said, you can also set boundaries with your friends regarding what comments are acceptable/unacceptable. When people vocally disrespect your boyfriend, you inform them that their commentary is inappropriate and fallacious. Just came here to say that in many jobs in the US, there are spousal 401ks, and you should absolutely make sure your potential spouse plans on contributing to it if you are going the SAHM route. And yes, there are a bunch of lossed income opportunities if you become a SAHM or housewife. Definitely vet well, and have your husband get life insurance. But there is an inherent risk to it. Life is full of risks, and everyone has to decide which ones to take.

So, a normal adult needs 7-9 hours of sleep to function. However, that doesn't mean every person can operate on 7. Some actually need 8.5-9 to be "getting enough sleep." If you can't get up earlier than 7:30, that might mean you just need 8.5. It really sucks to run around sleep-deprived, even if you're only short 0.5-1 hour every night. If you want to get up earlier, I would suggest going to sleep earlier. You might not have enough time to do everything you want, and that's unfortunate, but it'…

I also want to clarify that though moving sucks, I find it really only sucks for the first year. I have a tough time with the transition, because I don't like big changes and I'm very extroverted. But once I get to know the area and become part of the community, it becomes home and I feel fine again.

Moving is scary. Honestly, I hate it. I had a really hard time when I moved across country when I was 10, and then again to go to college. However, I think you're right that it will be hard to find what you're looking for in NYC. I would encourage you to move and then find a community wherever you end up. There are a lot of smaller cities that have enough people and jobs for you to support yourself and find a husband, while also being less expensive and more traditional.

Most of my clothes are from Kohls or Old Navy. I also loved DressBarn while it still had brick and mortar stores. I'm really uncomfortable ordering dresses online because I don't want to buy something that doesn't actually look good on me.

Some people would rather have a SAHM than pay for a daycare service. Paying off the debt might even be cheaper than paying for daycare, plus your kids will likely be better taken care of. Just because you wouldn't do it doesn't mean it's a bad idea for everyone.

I feel like this very much depends on your age. I'm 21, so there are very few men my age who are independently wealthy. To implement this strategy, I would have to date men who are much older than myself or rich kids. I would hope that after I marry a man, he wouldn't be constantly evaluating whether or not I was "what he can get." That's what commitment means. Also, I think you keep a man happy by being pleasant, feminine, and maintaining your appearance. I don't think it depends on some subcon…

I don't think men care about this. Are you kind, feminine, and good-looking? Can you hold a conversation? These are much more important than your career, in terms of what most men find attractive.

Honestly, I think you need to move out. You can't just tell him to marry you, because forcing guys into commitment doesn't go well. The reality is that he probably doesn't mind living in a messy house or eating pop tarts every day. He probably wouldn't be willing to pay for you to keep house, and would just feel like you are badgering him for money. I imagine it would be difficult for you to just stop taking care of the house because you would have to accept that the house isn't going to be as c…

The best dating advice I've ever received is, "If a man is interested, you'll know. If he's not interested, you'll be confused."
/r/RedPillWomen28/07/20 03:01 PM

Yeah, I feel that. Unfortunately, as we both know, relationships tend to work better if the guy is the one initiating. As someone who tends to be very driven, I found this aspect of dating very frustrating. Personally, it helped my sanity to find multiple guys I was interested in, to keep myself from becoming obsessed with one. When I'm interested, I just go up to them and talk to them and try to attend events they might be at. (Just don't overdo this, lest you become chaser girl)

I think your best strategy is to be generally desirable (pretty, feminine, approachable, good conversationalist). You have to go places where you will interact with men. Some of them make romantic advances. Strategy and analytics come in while you're vetting, and trying to figure out which of those men would make a good husband and father. There's also some strategy involved in being feminine and a good conversationalist. You figure out how to be a lady and how to put different kinds of people a…

It seems that you have esteem issues that are making you believe that low-quality men are the best you can do. (I'm not commenting on appearances. In terms of husband material, these "beta guys" you describe are no good) They might be picking up on the fact that the only reason you're with them is that you don't think you can do any better. They consciously or unconsciously realize that to keep you with them, they must keep your self-esteem low.

Yeah, it doesn't sound like you're actually attracted to him. If the attraction isn't there at the beginning of a relationship, often called the "honeymoon stage", I think you should move on. He also sounds insecure, because he felt the need to hide his interests from you. Of course, we all put our best foot forward on first dates, but taking down posters and bringing a book you're not actually reading to a date is a bit much. I agree with some of the other commenters who suggest you might need …

I don't think it matters as much once the relationship is established, and it varies couple by couple. It is nice to continually feel pursued and valued, though. Personally, I often initiate hanging out at his apartment or suggest we make dinner together. If there's an activity I want to do, I'll ask him to join me (this happened more before COVID). He almost always initiates the "treating me out" dates. Like, he'll suggest going out for dinner, or dates that are more focused around making me fe…

Yeah, I think it's a class thing. I have both a large scholarship and my parents pay for most of the rest. I think it's strange that you say you want to meet "Women who have their own thing going on-whether that's school, work or RP marriage and dating" and also complain that the girls you meet are "boy or academics obsessed". Do you want them to talk about school, work, and romantic relationships, but not too much? I think it would be reasonable to ask him when he thinks he would be ready. Try to ask it in such a way that he gives you an honest answer, rather than just saying something to make you happy. If you're fine with his answer, then wait and take up a hobby as the other lovely ladies have suggested. If his timeline doesn't work for you, you should move on and find a guy who is on the same page. You don't want to coerce a guy into marrying you. I think successful and driven men want successful and driven women. However, success and drive don't necessarily have to manifest themselves in a long-term career plan. People who are driven succeed at what they do and take pride in their work. Driven and successful housewives and SAHMs busy themselves with improving the home and caring for children. A driven man is probably going to get annoyed by a housewife who lounges around all day. I think a sign that a woman will be a hardworking housewif…

I don't think you have to tell him right off the bat. Like, that might be weird on a first date. (Admittedly, on date 1, my fiance said, "so here's my baggage, what's yours?"). But it will probably come up organically relatively early on. Just be honest, because intimacy is about building trust and becoming comfortable with each other. I am also 20. I always get a job over the summer, because its nice to not have to ask my parents or bf for money. I also know I'll need a job for at least a year while waiting for my bf to finish law school. Also, God forbid your husband die or lose his job, you might want the confidence that you can get and keep a job. Hey, I'm from the Minneapolis area. My go-to look is a sweater + skirt + fleece tights/leggings. There are going to be times when you definitely need the leggings even with a longer dress. Personally, I think calf-length boots pair best with the shorter skirts, and the short boots go with longer skirts. The other thing to keep in mind is that there is a difference between a summer and winter skirt. An airy skirt made out of thin material ends up looking weird with the leggings and boots.

Most women can have casual sex very easily. However, most women don't want that, and prefer relationships with some level of emotional attachment and commitment. Most guys on Tinder and such want casual sex. So there's a mismatch in what men and women are looking for. And a lot of guys say "looking for something serious" or "no hookups" when they really just want a ONS, because they know women will swipe left if they are up front about that. So women have to sift through guys trying to get in th…

First, I've absolutely returned from a shower to make a point, in person. When I'm in actual text arguments, I'm responding fast. Not over the course of a day. I'm limited by my wpm, not my brain. But I do think both sexes are more rude over text. Irl, you soften what you're saying if you can tell the other person is getting upset. You can use non-verbal cues to make the argument smoother. Tbh, maybe it's my age (20F), but I don't know many men irl whose aversion to marriage stems from family court issues. Men are avoiding marriage because they enjoy hook up culture and because they don't need to marry a woman to sleep with her. Shampoo opens up the cuticles in your hair. Conditioner seals them back closed. If you combine the steps, you are not using either product to its full potential. Also, you lose control of the shampoo to conditioner ratio. For dudes with curly hair, they should be using way more conditioner than shampoo.

I really think dating is a numbers game. I tend to get asked on more dates when I am putting myself in situations where I am meeting lots of new people and making new connections. You need to meet someone with whom you share mutual attraction. You can't force it, you just have to increase the odds of this happening by making new friends. You should talk to lots of different people and be friendly. Don't be the girl who is desperately chasing after men. Talk to both men and women. If a guy is int…

This guy sounds like a jerk. Part of being a man taking care of and providing for his woman, and that includes emotional well-being. You shouldn't settle for this treatment. This isnt the time to STFU, you need to tell him to do his job and listen to you vent and be supportive of your hobbies. If he can't do that, you should find a man who will appropriately appreciate a submissive and feminine woman.

The way women tend to express this drive is called "nurturing" and the way men tend to express this drive is called "providing" or "defending". The drive is universal, but the expression of that drive is gendered. I would also argue that sometimes men express feminine traits and women express masculine traits. Incels don't talk/think about women the way almost all of us want to be talked about or treated. Hence, it is in our favor to shame/emasculate people with this ideology lest it becomes the norm. Lots of opinions once labeled as "fringe" or "extreme" later became the norm. Most pieces feminist scholars write would have never been published 200 years ago. This kind of shaming/mockery is frequently used to enforce and reinforce certain views. It's a common tactic for shaping society.

First of all, thick doesn't mean obese. Also, if you look at artwork throughout the ages, you will find some skinny women, but also some heavier women. The preference for thick women is definitely not new. I think the trick is to follow the class dynamics. Then, in the modern economy and processed food, the underclass became obese, and having time to exercise and …

The natural part of female beauty rituals is the desire to be attractive. Female beauty rituals are more time and labor-intensive than male rituals because women's physical appearance plays a bigger role in their sexual desirability than it does for men.
