I take a college course each semester just to learn. This semester it is intro to social work. I am investing in my IRA this week and I didn’t accept unclear advice from my advisor but made them work until I understood. I started taking Vitamin D. I got a blood test last month and was way low. Get checked if you have mood disorders!

I appreciate your post so much. Why do men push boundaries? I am better at stating my boundaries than I was but I’m not as good at enforcing them. It’s like I want them to recognize that they are doing wrong, to remember what I have said and stop themselves. But I have to speak up! I have to correct him! I have to never let the boundaries slip or he will have mixed messages. It is my burden for dealing with a man. I need you all to remember this. Thank you.

I sometimes try to log a date a day or week later and it’s much harder. Try to write it up soon so you can remember all the little things.

I have this question but for one month in. Thoughts?

I am thinking about how to have the likes/dislikes conversation you mention. It seems like a three month kind of conversation. But I’d hate to learn that far in that he won’t go down on me. But we wait for sex so it seems too soon otherwise.

I read up on Muhammad Ali Jr. Looks like he didn’t get that money in the end. Still living in poverty far from his family. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4572194/amp/Muhammad-Ali-Jr-says-s-broke-homeless.html

I would be interested in FDS’s thoughts on the subreddit vanillaaudio.

I have this question too. There is so much you can do outside of sex. Touching, states of undress, etc. What is too much too fast?

I was trained as a civil engineer but now do facilities management for a college. I did the expected career for my major for 9 years then transitioned to something that suited me better. You can go to your college career center for help getting jobs. College career fairs is where I got my first job. It’s also all about who you know. If you can network with someone in the organization you want to be part of that’s helpful. Find someone who knows someone who will recommend you.

This may not reflect actual views. I live in middle America and the republican always wins. Therefore I register republican to try and get the least worst republican in the primary. But it doesn’t reflect my views.

For real! I didn’t even mention how I was exactly like you with the kissing but keeping hands respectful! We went to Saturday church (we go to the same church), then axe throwing, out for tacos then back to his place. He was very interested to plan ahead, like for this weekend and Valentine’s Day. I thought that meant high interest but he didn’t compliment me or say anything that indicated high interest otherwise. He texted me at 11:30pm last night right before his work shift. I was asleep. Did …

A good question! I needed to know this too. I was thinking maybe say something was canceled. Not that you are free but that what you are usually busy with is gone. But the responses that mention reflecting on why you want to increase your time with him are really on point. And about still having your own interests and activities. I’m going to be thinking about those comments.

I feel this! I relate to you so much! I also had a second date Saturday. I also have plans for this weekend. He has been good about texting everyday and letting me know when he’ll be unavailable ( works nights and picks up overtime). Then today - no texts. I shouldn’t be as confused or interested in what is going on as I am. Thank you for sharing your situation. It’s great to read all the advice you are getting. I don’t feel like I can give advice yet. But I appreciate you and wish you the best!…

I appreciate this. I’m practicing not double texting. I am not the best at not texting first. I do it about 50% of the time. I want to get better. I keep reading here everyday. Are there texting guidelines?

Honestly, I have some items that could be seen as drawbacks as a partner, I have a mental illness and I’m over weight. However, I believe that my value comes from being loved by God. My spirituality/religion gives me my value.

Thank you! Saved for many rereads. Upping to the 90 day rule and following it! Some of the comments said to even tone down the sexiness and offer the sex carrot. Definitely things to think about.

Valentine’s Day will be our fourth date. But he wants to cook for me so I’m getting him a nice, classic apron. I’m following the journaling advice in the handbook and it’s really helped.

Is his home country patriarchal? I’m always cautious when dating into a different culture. There can be different expectations. An acquaintance married an Italian and he doesn’t help raise their kid. Says it’s cultural.

I just went on my first date this week after finding FDS too! I also did the coffee date but he paid. Went on a second date tonight which he planned for axe throwing. Really fun! I am really wanting to know his relationship history but know sharing mine is an FDS no no. I don’t know what to do with these conflicting desires. I think FDS is smart but I’m curious!

I find FDS hard too. I was interested to learn the 2 months rule. I don’t know the schedule of when to do what. I’m just off a first date and I want to do all sorts of things! But I think the 2 month rule is a good one. I want to follow it. My physical boundaries are different than most. I don’t have sex outside of marriage. So it seems to me my closest boundary to sex should be my two months with commitment choice.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
