Ngl, ideally, you should break up with this man, he's not a HVM and will not be good for you long term (he's already not good for you since your utility bills will have gone up due to him being at your most of the week while his will have gone down, plus he's made this ridiculous and self-serving suggestion to move in in the first place). You should re-read the handbook.

I second what u/goatismycopilot said. He basically already lives with you for free, he doesn't expect that to change, and that's how he will save. I don't know how he phrased it but I suspect he didn't mention how you would save money too. Because he only cares about what benefits him. Don't let him move in (and stop letting him stay over so often) or prepare for disaster.

99% chance he'll murd3r you at the end of the date.

I'm seconding what u/Guilty_Assigment said. Tell her, it doesn't matter that you don't know her well; as women, it's important that we help one another.

It's biologically driven and socially reinforced. Species that have sexual reproduction as their way to keep the species going pretty much work this way. The male courts and chases the female, the female decides who she will reproduces with. There are certain things we can (and should) change through our socialisation, but this is not one of them.

And the more repulsive and childish he became, the more he wanted sex. Yeah, what's up with that!? I had a similar experience with my ex. Ew, get away, sex is for accountable and responsible adults, not overgrown children.

It's really not. Peace of mind is so important and way underrated for women. Time to give it its rightful place in the priority list: way above companionship.

Vet the same way you would on OLD. Ultimately, your judgement is the one that matters, so don't gaslight yourself into accepting something below your standards just because you trust your friend. As she pointed out, "she doesn't know what he's like in a dating context", so you can't actually rely on her judgement. And meeting him in person is not going to change the fact that he doesn't want to make an effort when texting.

Yup, and then they complain that you don't have sex with them anymore. I'm afraid I'm no pedo, I don't have sex with children, even if they're in the body of a grown man.

Female socialisation brainwashes girls into accetping men even when they're actual rubbish, that's why they're barely reacting while he's like "wtf??"
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy31/03/22 03:57 PM

It's not a joke; men use that word to get out of being held accountable for their shitty behaviours. You're not overreacting, more often than not, us women are underreacting by always giving men the benefit of the doubt when they don't deserve it. A good rule of thumb is if he made you feel uncomfortable or second-guess yourself especially early on, you wanna kick him out of your life. Block and delete him.

They especially hate the fact that, despite being physically stronger than us, they need us and we don't need them. That's why they mock the "crazy cat lady", the single woman, happy and content with her cats and friends. The grumpy old man stereotype is a reality for them. If they're left alone and live to old age, they're not happy alone, they can't bear being in their own company, so they need a woman. That's why most widowers try to find another woman quickly instead taking time to grieve pr…

It sounds like you have abandonment issues. You shouldn't go to his place. You should invest in a therapist and not date until you've gotten to the bottom of your issue. Otherwise you'll always find yourself chasing men that you know deep down you're not into/aren't worth it.

I'm saving this thread. And adding that ginger helps too, but it has a cumulative effect, so you need to start taking it daily before then during the periods.

I didn't realise my flatmate and I weren't an isolated case! Since last year, my periods have been way more painful (to the point it's debilitating and I can't do anything) and so have my flatmate's (a little less intense but still pretty bad). We've both had to go on the pill. The source of my problem has been identified but as for my flatmate's, they don't know and haven't prescribed more tests (they haven't even referred her to a specialist like they did for me and we have the same GP 🤦🏾‍♀️)

I dated a guy at uni for a few months, dreamy, super fit guy. After the summer break, he broke up with me in a pretty shitty manner (acted shifty, made us spend the evening at his friend's while being super awkward, then i basically had to get out of him that he wanted to break up and that he'd cheated 🙄). I was upset for a few days then I moved on. 3 years later, having had no contact at all (I don't stay in touch with exes, never have, and now that I have FDS, certainly never will), he adds me…

Be that as it may (and I did see it), you still need to hold yourself accountable and not make excuses. The choices to go go back to him multiple times after you found out were made by you, repeatedly, and you still continue to choose to devote your energy thinking about him. Please don't group me with these Oh I will. Because you (the OOP) participate in the very dame system by not believing us. Yes it's bad, and it's made worse by men like you, who pretend to be allies, to be good guys, but don't listen to us and don’t stand up for us (this guy is still on the "not all men" instead of actually stating what he will do with his means, however limited, to fight this. And men rarely ask women to explain anything, most of them believe they know more than us. So when a man asks a woman to explain something, 99.99% of the time, they're not genuinely asking, they're just preparing their attack (the 0.01% left is the HVM asking genuinely).

What you do is you don't stay with men like this. You leave your current boyfriend, then you start some introspective work (journaling, therapy, something like that) while single and you remain single until you work out what it is that lead you to men like this. Then when you've done the work, you can start dating again, but you vet ruthlessly so you see the early red flags you've missed in past relationships so you don't have to deal with that crap again.

I have a deep suspicion that older women have been vilified in past times because we were (are) self-sufficient, deeply happy with our own company first and foremost, happy with our pets, plants, books, gardens, etc. and just not needy for men. You're absolutely right. The "cat lady" is mocked, called crazy and used as a threat to keep girls and women in line. But when I think of my grandma, who was a divorcee cat lady, I admire her. It’s one thing if a man is being lied to by a partner and barebacking in good faith, Nah, even then, BC is not infallible so if they reeeally didn't want a child, they'd still wear a condom. 2 shields are better than one. If a penis goes in a vagina, a child may happen. That's what the whole act it's made for in the first place, so they have no excuse.

Most of the time, it's not even due to genetics, it's due to bad posture. Slouching, not keeping the head straight, jaws shut with the upper and lower teeth touching and the tongue against the roof of the mouth, cause the lower jaw to drop and the cheekbones basically collapse (the whole face is pulled down, the cheekbones flatten and the chin appears to become one with the neck). In a work setting, you can simply say that you don't discuss your private life at work. I see where you're coming from, but don't forget that the person asking you such a question was rude to you in the first place, so if setting clear and perfectly acceptable boundaries ruins the working relationship, it will be of their doing, not yours. You don't need to put them at ease when they're asking invasive question that make you uncomfortable, and they should apologise for it. I was so eager to turn 30, because I thought it mean finally being an adult, a grown woman. And tbh, its proven true so far. I'm now mid-30s and I feel like an adult most of the time, as opposed to rarely when in my 20s. I also know what I want and I can take the steps to accomplish it without making excuses anymore. I have never done online dating, and should I find myself single again, never will. It feels stilted and unnatural to me (because it is). There is nothing wrong with you and based on what women say of online dating, you're better off steering clear of it.

Yup, they hate us bc they ain’t us, and will never be. And I get it. Women are warriors, and not only are our bodies beautiful (women in general are stunning), but they also can carry and sustain life (breastfeeding), then we go about fiercely protecting our young, cooking for them, educating them, teaching them love and respect. We are magical, and a bit mythical. There should be no competition, but men want to compete and they can’t. Great point. By nature, we have a purpose which we can choos…

You're so right, the idea of having a ceremony or ritual that demarcates the transition from childhood to adulthood is an key one, and men absolutely need to start instigating this again for their sons. As you said, we have one built in but men indeed need an external one, otherwise we end up like we are, with loads of men-babies who are seeking a mummy in their girlfriend/wives, while still expecting sex from them because, of course, we gotta service their erections. 🙄 Their own misery is self-…

You've had sex too early, before you were actually comfortable and before you had both committed, which is why you're feeling insecure. The dynamic has changed, and the way he interacts with you has changed in subtle/not-so-subtle ways, which you're picking up on. Now that you've had sex, you're attached and your focus has shifted from getting to know him to wanting to keep him, even though you've not vetted him enough yet and you're dating and not actually in a relationship yet (you're not call…

Exactly. If they don't want the risk of having a baby, they should keep their dicks in their pants. Making babies is what sex is for in the first place, and if you're not the one who gestates, then you have to accept that the decision is out of your hands the second the sperm is out of your dick (and in someone else's vagina).

I think it's mainly about letting them know that there isn't only one path - the one of being miserable with an L/NVM - available to them. You can only come around to the truth when you're ready. It's like that saying: "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". We show them the water, and when they finally realise they're on fire, and that's why it hurts, hopefully they turn to it. We need to be patient with them, but only if it doesn't impact our own mental health. If it's to…

not having such a bangmaid in their lives is what men are often actually complaining about when they complain about a lack of emotional support in their lives. This is spot on. Because non-sexual emotional support can be had aplenty the moment you provide value in a male-male friendship. Preach. When more of them understand that, they'll instantly raise their value. Not to the point of being a HVM, but that would be a step in the right direction.

I'm right there with you. They whine but do nothing to remedy the problem because they don't want to. They're lazy and used to being catered to, so they expect us to fix that and fix them, instead of being there for other men and leading by example, the way women do. They can whine and suffer, I don't care since they don't either; not my job. I compliment and support women and they reciprocate. 🤷🏾‍♀️

In nature, females get courted by males so males often look colourful/gorgeous/have visually appealing appearances while the females of their species tend to be duller in appearance. Why? Because females have more inherent value for the species as their bodies produce the offsprings at great risks to themselves, and they are safer from biological defects than males are due to their sexual chromosomes being the same (I'm simplifying). The appearance and the qualities a male can demonstrate to a f…

Plus you end up picking up on the bad habits of the people you date (smoking weed, drinking, slacking off). I can relate to that, my ex left me with a nasty weed-smoking habit when I kicked him out of my life. I used it as a crutches when circumstances in my life got bad. But no more. 2022 is the year I ditch all recreational drugs, including alcohol. My body doesn't need this poison, it needs TLC.

Yup, and they quickly delete those post yo do some damage control. That's exactly why they hate FDS, because they vary control the narrative here, and women are free to share their experiences, realise the patterns and they're not alone, without being silenced. They can't stand it because it reduces their dating pool since they refuse to level up themselves and they want to be "lOvEd fOr wHo tHeY aRe" (even though who they are sucks).

I don't think that's true and that's a bit unfair. FDS was created on Reddit which is an American website, so of course it will resonate way more with American women and those with a similar culture, and mostly apply to & reflect those. But that doesn't mean there is no awareness of how much worse the situation is in other countries. It just means that we talk about what we know and experience, and how we can improve our situation. For instance, my mother is from Africa and my father from Europe…

They have zero accountability because blaming women for their failures is easier than realising they're shit and they need to change. They've never had to historically so they feel entitled to what their fathers and grandfathers and so on had.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/12/21 07:06 PM

I've left all the other supposedly female-centric subs for that reason. As soon as you allow men in, you can no longer talk frankly or if you do, you'll be shouted down by LVMs & pickmes.

They can't stand to not be the centre of attention and they know that as soon as we have our own spaces, we can realise that the problem is not us and it never was us. When we gather, we're stronger and we raise the bar. They don't want that, because it means they'll end up single and that's their greatest fear.

My parents had a cleaner, and ngl, it made it hard to adjust when I moved out. I liked a clean place but I wasn't used to doing it or seeing my role models do it. And despite my preference for neat and tidy, I didn't use to mind my own mess (hated other people's mess though), so it was a bit of a weird situation. But I grew up (and shame was also helpful, because I couldn't invite people to mine if it was a tip!).

You should re-read the handbook because you're very naive and clearly still a pickme if you think it's ok. Porn is a red flag, doesn't matter which kind. Hentai is even more twisted than "regular" porn. It's definitely not harmless. The female characters look and often sound like children with unrealistic female bodies (impossibly huge breasts and tiny waist) and the sort of things that are done to them is absolutely gross and more akin to torture than actual sex. Next this guy.

Their whole justification is that it puts the victim in control, but does it? They never seem to question the motivation of the man who "helps" them deal with their trauma through BDSM: Here is a man who is most likely physically stronger than her, who gets aroused by pretending to rape her. What's to stop him from actually raping her? His own decision; so he is in control. And a man who can sustain an erection while being sexually violent to a woman, is a man who has issues himself. Why trust a…

We absolutely need to. The definition of "rape" as it is currently is a male-created one. That's why it's only called rape if there is violence. But coercion or a man "turning a woman's no into a yes" (because he wore you down/made you scared it would get violent) is absolutely rape, no if no but.

It sounds like I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place; if I’d stayed I’d have been a pick me, but I took the initiative to leave because my daughter and I deserved better, I’ve had therapy, and really reflected on all of the behaviours I endured from my ex and now I’m low value. It's not leaving that makes you LV, that was absolutely the right thing to do and there's no denying it; it's getting into a new relationship, less than 2 years after leaving a husband (who I assume you were with for …

the truth is that female intuition can inform us of the intent behind supposedly innocuous behavior. This is sooo true and we need to make sure young girls know it.

This boils down to "yay, my bf didn't r@pe me", which is really sad and once again confirms that the bar is so low it looks like a minuscule dot from where we stand.

I agree with everything you say. And as much as the 2-year waiting period sucks, it also gives an opportunity to take time to work on oneself until the divorce can finally go through. It seems to me she got involved with someone else way too quickly.

Why are you giving him the benefit of the doubt? Why don't you hold him to higher standards and expect him to say what he means? Many on FDS come from a misogynist background and yet they have done/are the work to fight their ingrained misogyny, so why can't he? As someone said below, if he wanted to, he would. And given how revered he is, he could literally say anything he wants and people would lap it up.

This is an excellent point and we should normalise this. It would also be great if single mothers paired up/grouped up so that they'd have a 2nd (3rd, etc) reliable adult to raise their children with, so they're not at as much risk of meeting/inviting a p*dophile/ab.user/NVM into their home/life (and that of their children).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/11/21 07:25 AM

Absolutely. The only way things can change is* if we gain power, and let's not pretend men got into power by playing fair. Use whatever you need to get in power then give a hand to the HVW below you to eventually reshape society for the better. Edit: are -> is

🤮 I bet he thinks he's a poet, with all the rhymes he's cramed in there. 🙄 And of course, in true LVM fashion, he relied on alcohol and sleeping with other women instead of actually dealing with his feelings and emotions. It reads like he broke up with her, serves him right. I hope someone takes those down and/or that she's moved to another city, because that man is literally promising to stalk her to get her back. Gross.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/11/21 05:54 PM

He sent her a form because he's dating multiple women and he can't remember who's who and wants what. Hence the need for her to put her name at the top. He didn't create that form for her, he created it for himself and sends it to everyone he dates.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/11/21 04:34 PM

What are you on about? Where did I say that she tried to change the kind of relationship they had? She did not; all she did was develop feelings after he acted like a boyfriend. She never asked him to be her boyfriend. The lesson you should learn is to make sure you understood what you read.

Older men might say « you’re so mature for your age ». Emphasising this one because it's a very important one for all girls and young women to know. Any man who tells you that can be thrown straight in the bin because he will abuse you. This is flattery so you'll fall in his trap.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/11/21 10:28 PM

Trust your gut, always. And with any man, not just the older ones. Also, at your age and until your are at least 25, don't date anyone who's more than 2 years older than you. And for that matter, you'll be better off focusing on building up your career until you are 25. Men will just distract you and use up your energy that could have been focused on you and growing up as human being.

The saying goes "hope for the best, prepare for the worst", you need to remember that second part. If you don't have a background in a good field, you will struggle finding anything to support a decent life should anything happen (and I'm not just talking about him leaving, he could have an accident that leaves him permanently incapacited or k*lls him). You should look into investing so you can have some form of income instead of relying solely on him. Or training in some lucrative field.

The patriarchy is how men managed to avoid natural selection (which is female driven in the wild). FDS is really about bettering not just ourselves but our whole species by removing access to women from subpar men.

Exactly. Men aren't actually that good at hiding who they are, they constantly tell on themselves. It's just that us women are socialised to be polite and kind, so we let them get away with so much/give them the benefit of the doubt a lot before we realise that it doesn't benefit us. Even those who are unaware can usually recall instances when they thought something wasn't OK early on, or made them feel uncomfortable, or simply gave them that weird feeling in their stomach, when they think back …

It's not, it's disrespectful and inconsiderate but she doesn't recognise it so I'm willing to bet money that she ignored a lot of other things. First I made a list of criteria that were absolute must-haves, as well as the ones that would be good to have. As a example, must-haves included among others being a woman and being bilingual, as I live in the UK but English is not my first language, so I needed someone who could understand that my struggle to find words could sometimes be due to that rather than because I struggle to form the thought I wanted to express. Good-to-haves included having their other language be the same as my first…

Throughout our life, we've tried empathizing with them even though we haven't received the same consideration in return. Because storytelling in any form (books, films, etc) mostly depicts male-centric stories. So we get to vicariously experience what it is to be man through stories. So true. They delude themselves by minimising the problems we bring up, because so long as they're not affected, it's easy to pretend there are no problems. So of course, when you break up, they say shit like my ex said "that's what happens when you're nice" (yeah, he was a "nice guy" too I guess - I should have picked up on it earlier, his nice/HV gestures were for the most part very stereotypical rather than specific to me and my tastes). The next thing lv men will do is look for insidious ways to discredit his partner's observations and sanity (to herself and her family/friends) to make sure her ability to accuse him will decrese every time, till she starts feeling like her basic needs are irrational and that she is an abuser for sharing her feeling and wants with him. Isn't it very telling? Disney disseminating propaganda, portraying sensible, clever women as ugly villains, to scare young girls into staying in line. Disney Princess movies are just a brainwashing tool of the patriarchy, twisting the cautionary tales they stole into something colourful yet way more sinister, and distracting little girls with "happy endings" while telling them how men want them to behave when they grow up.

Tbh, if they use "my body, my choice", they can't whine when you reject them because their choices don't align with one another and show them to be hypocrites. If as a man you don't want children and you refuse to get a vasectomy, you better never have sex then. Otherwise, it's clear that, as you said, it's about getting laid.

I don't think they ever put it in that perspective. Otherwise there'd be actual chances of growth and that's to much work for these 🤡 That's why there are so many stories on relationship subs where the man refuses to go to therapy (and will come up with any excuses not to).

When I did the breaking up, well, I break up for a reason. If I break up, I don't want you around anymore. At all. In theory, that sounds like a good idea. But in practice, it still means women taking on the burden of labour for men. They need to do that themselves. The "decent" ones need to teach the others. It's their responsibility and those who want to improve are more likely to listen to them than to women.

I would say 3 to 5, with 5 being the absolute maximum. At your age, those 5 years can make a big difference, so I would advise to stick as close to 3 as you can. Personally, 3 has always been my maximum, and the time I stupidly strayed from that (I was 23 and he was 33) proved that I was right to uphold that rule and should stick to it. 3 up or down, although most of the time they ended up being a year or 2 younger than me. Anxiety and a few other things (staying vague just in case). I'm in therapy now, which is helping. I also started taking better care of myself (eating better, being more physically active) after I broke up with him, as I had let myself go because he was the type of person who didn't take care of himself much, and I'm easily influenced unfortunately. Yeah, there was a post on a dating advice sub earlier where the question was asked (why do some men lose interest after sex, or something like that). And loads of them straight up admitted that if they meet a woman they don't like, even a little bit, but there's a possibility to have sex with her, they will and then they'll just disappear. They can't conceive that we don't think the same way because they lack empathy. Sex has little consequences to them, and when it comes to the few consequences…

Yes, it's sad to say but in such situations, it's often a choice between being abused by your partner but with a roof over your head or being abused by several men while homeless (or being prostituted with a roof over your head). It's not hard to see why the first option prevails, because it's the least horrible (still horrible, sadly).

That's because she was gaslit into believing a man's perspective: Children are not a big commitment for men, because they know they can bail, they know someone will take care of the kid, so they don't have/need to. It's nothing for them if they have shitty values, just 30 second of pleasure and that's their contribution. For a woman, you know you'll put your body through the wringer and that will more often than not create a bond, a sense of obligation to that human being that grew inside of you…

I don’t want our marriage to be a failure. A failed marriage is better than refusing to listen to your gut and a life with someone who doesn't respect you or women in general. The failure is not on your part, but on his. It's obviously a difficult time for you but make sure that you sit down and really think about what's best for you. Because he's not it.

think that scrotes screech that I’ll be forever alone because that is their biggest fear. You got that right. They see being alone as a curse, because suddenly they have to step up and do boring stuff for themselves: feeding themselves, planning, cleaning (ahem...). I don't know if you've heard of the book "He's just not that into you", but I read it and what I personally got out of it was: "He's not into me if he behaves like X, Y and Z. I'm a placeholder until he get gets bored or he finds someone else/'better' (or until I gain more self-worth and walk away) and why would I want to be with someone who's not into me." Thinking that (years be…

You don't need to compromise, you don't need to be on someone else's schedule, you can really treat yourself. I often go to the cinema and the restaurant by myself (well I used to before the pandemic, and I plan on resuming soon as things are reopening), and I always loved it. How gross and disingenuous. But it justifies everything that's said here; there are men who think this way so vetting is absolutely essential cause who knows who this guys are? Edit: although to be fair, the minute he says shit like "I want to be friends and not be sexual" then his actions don't march his words, when he's said he has a girlfriend (or even just coming back after 1 month of radio silence), it's fairly to spot and discard him for the NVM he is.

I agree, I don't actually understand the issue and what is supposed to be his fault here. He took a pay cut to go into a social care job; sounds like he wanted to give back. He is a carer for a family member; I don't see how that's a bad thing? He's reached a plateau at the gym, so what? I don't get what OP wants our opinion on here. There's no conflict. Also, the phrasing "he's become a LVM" is very suspicious to me. OP, if you don't want to be with him anymore, you don't have to stay with him,…

a month later he was telling me "its not my fault, why should I help" when my birth control failed and I needed an abortion. I mean, it was, but he preferred to pretend he didn't understand what sex results in just to get out of taking his responsibility, like LVM/NVM do.

I second u/comeonion in encouraging you to make this it's own post. It's so well articulated and so true. Women are groomed to self-police other women who don't "woman" (verb) right. By not playing the game, we introduce the idea that maybe the game is stupid and not worth playing. And they can't have that. Because their entire sense of self is wrapped up in the game. These two passages especially are so important for all women to know. Men, through patriarchy, have made women the wardens of our…

You can tell by the way she write that she's just a child herself. She shouldn't be having children, let alone be married to a man a decade older. I understand why everyone around her is mad and deserting her but it's so terrible that she's being abandoned when she's at her most vulnerable.

What exactly does pregnancy trigger in men that makes them violent? It's not that pregnancy triggers anything. They were always violent, and once the woman they're with is pregnant, she is vulnerable and pretty much trapped, so it's easier for them to be violent.

You could reply to family and friends with a question, asking them why they think you must absolutely be in a relationship and/or how exactly do they think it would make your life any better than it currently is. Basically something in the vein of "what makes you think I'm not complete by myself?" I'm not sure whether they'd be the best crowd for that, obviously you know best, but maybe that could shut them up for a bit. 😊

Can women on FDS stop referring to their partners as a "HVM", they can EASILY pretend and then turn on the abuse later, it Irks be incredibly when women on FDS drone on about their "HVM" like it puts some brand on a man that he know he passed some tests and is now branded "HVM", I will believe it when I see it. Men should be comfortable with allowing you to do you I'm hoping it's just poor phrasing, but just in case you need to be reminded/told: men don't get to "allow" or forbid you to do anything, because permission for you to do things with your body isn't theirs to give. It's yours, entirely.

Great post! Just wanted to add that if some of you don't like toys, it's ok. You can use your fingers. Personally, I prefer that, possibly because I've been masturbating since I was a pre-teen and that's all I had back then. I have toys, and they're great too, but I always go back to my own fingers. But I agree with the point about getting to know yourself. It's your body, it belongs to you; you're allowed to touch it and give yourself pleasure.

I agree with your points, especially the first one. Even when a man is trying to be honest, he still can't refrain from participating in that sport of trying to rush women into settling with a man by the time she's 30. It doesn't matter that he said that men don't sit down to discuss how to hurt/oppress women, they don't need to since that's how they're raised to think.

Calling it a "scene" or how they use the word "play" makes it sound like they need to make it "not real", like it's just make-believe. If s3x (not sure if it's banned word) is not included in their reality, they really do have issues and IMO are not adult enough to have it in the first place.

Honestly, that's just way too much work and wasted energy. That doesn't really benefit women, if we have to become paranoid detectives. Being single is more peaceful. Just don't use OLD, as FDS recommends, and trust your gut. If you feel the need to snoop, you might as well just walk; it's your instincts telling you something isn't right. Save yourself the trouble and listen to them instead.

No rite of passage to manhood. This, I believe, is a very important point. A friend of mine and I were talking about that, and we came to the conclusion that the removal of rites of passage for men (as it existed up until recently through men being drafted for military service) has created a generation of lost overgrown boys. Women have a built-in rite of passage through our first menses (and also the much shittier one: getting catcalled for the first time/getting unwanted attention from grown m…

Thank you for sharing. And just know that this shame you feel, that we all feel to a certain degree for having done things that don't honour us, is not yours/ours to feel. We've all been pressured since birth to take on rigid roles that k*ll our souls, and shedding that is a hard but gratifying process. The sisterhood of this sub and the sub itself are here to remind us that we have more value than patriarchy tells us and our worth lies not in pleasing men. Edit: you not your. And also ❤❤❤ Edit …

I completely agree with this. All this does is eat away at our savings and self-esteem, as well as distract us from what actually matters. If we all took a stand, things would change indeed. But we can start as individuals and hope to inspire others (I stopped shaving my armpits after seeing an article somewhere on a model who doesn't shave; and I don't wear make-up partly because my mum barely wore any I guess. And I can't be bothered either).
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/05/21 06:37 PM

Yeah, that was blatantly untrue too. I'm can't imagine he slurps spaghetti in public and let it slap his face and chest, leaving streaks of whatever sauce it's cover in everywhere. Or I doubt he eats everything with his hands.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/05/21 05:06 PM

With regard to shaving armpits, I think it's a matter of habit. I've stopped a few years ago, and I'm used to it now. I don't think I sweat much more, but I use an alum stone deodorant which helps with the sweating (at least for me). A positive thing that I've noticed with keeping my pits au naturel is that it's a great reminder to eat healthy food. When I do, my sweat doesn't really smell, but when I don't, I pay the price.

Oh no, I completely agree with the fact that we don't make choices in a vacuum and unless we look at what each option truly represents, those aren't true choices. My point was more in the sense that I'm not going to tell people what to do with their lives. Also (and I should mentioned that previously for clarity's sake), expecting women to examine every single choice they/we make isn't fair, especially, as you pointed out, since there is a lack of formal education on the matter, meaning that we …

Yes, thank you for making an articulate post about this. I've had this discussion with many friends (also including the topic of shaving), and the arguments used against me were "oh but you don't need make-up", "oh but you have nice eyebrows", "oh but you aren't insecure like me". First of all, no one needs make-up. I've had spots well into my late 20s, and it's only now in my mid 30s that this bloody acne has cleared up (although I sometimes get flare-ups around/during my periods). And yet, I o…

They can't even bother to maintain good posture in public. If they sat up straight like the women, they'd already look a bit better (I mean, they'd still be miles away from their heyday, unlike Aniston, Cox and Kudrow, but that'd be a start. Can't even manage to have a bit of class 🙄).

I agree. We shouldn't be trying to include them in feminism, because sooooo many men try to make it about them and ruin it, like they ruin everything. (Edit: removed "will", since it they already try). It should be about women. Societies that improve women's conditions are actually better for everyone, including men, so we don't need to pander to them. They can get on with the program or get left behind like the neanderthals they are.

Every single time I’ve listened to my intuition it’s been the best thing for me, and when I was actively ignoring it was when things went wrong. This is something every girl and women should know. It is really very sad for those of us who want children. I think if we can't find a HVM, we should start platonically pairing up (for those of us who are heterosexual) with other women who want to have kids and raise them together. I know the idea has been floating on this sub, and the more I think about it, the more it makes sense. It would be an actual 2-parent (or more) family. There was a post on here a little while back about "womb discipline", which included similar ideas. Whatever we choose to call it, this concept makes sense and is good for the bettering of our species overall. If men want to have children with women, they have to prove that they are worthy of it by being great, caring and generous partners first. Anything less than that, and you just know they'll be subpar fathers. So vetting is not only important for ourselves as individuals, but also for our c…

One way to feel empowered and courageous is by taking on new tasks, maybe failing at them, but at least getting back up to try again. This is so true. It's how it is. She was the back-up plan.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/05/21 05:07 PM

Absolutely. She is there and willing to stay. She is probably insecure and doesn’t think she could "do better", so he knows he has her as a constant back-up if OLD doesn't always pan out. In his mind, a "prettier" woman would probably require more respect and work to keep her around. Scrotes are lazy. In my country, we have a very fitting saying: "un trou est un trou, une bite n'a pas d'œil"; which translates to "a hole is a hole, a dick has no eyes"... 🤷🏾‍♀️

I get carried away easily by the dreams of an exciting story where I meet someone brand new and things look upward... I think that's the issue: we're taught to dream about a love story since a very young age (since we're born pretty much), rather than being pragmatic. It may not be as romantic, but it's our emotions and mental health that are on the line ultimately, so it would make more sense to teach us to approach men and our love lives based on reality. But it doesn't serve them so... 🤷🏾‍♀️

Fit men do it for me. I strayed twice from that and both times proved to be absolute mistakes and that I have to abide by my preference or suffer unpleasant consequences. Now, when my fiancé takes off his shirt (or wears a tight-fitted top), my vagina tingles, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

1000%! Women do all the hard work of bringing the child into this world (and then raising them) and as you say, we know for sure they're their mother's child. It makes no sense to name them after their father, it's pure illogical stupidity

For most of my life, my grandma was single. She dated her neighbour at some point, a widower whose wife she'd known and they had met through her. He expected my gran to move into his house, she turned him down: "I like his company, no way I'm turning into his maid" is pretty much what she said to me. He showered her with gifts and obviously adored her but eventually she noped out of the relationship when his kids started threatening to cut contact with him because they thought she was after his …

Saw a lot of responses that say "not my fault that men cheat, can't change their behaviour if they cheat then go home to their wives". Such a cop out. As if they have zero responsibilities. 🙄 They want to be supported while they shit on the very people they expect support from. The worst is that they probably think they're being clever, when they're actually playing right into the divide-and-conquer strategy of the patriarchy.

Now I'm scared my children might be motherless. I can't help but feel it's my fault. Well, that's because it is. I wish there were more resources for dads. I didn't know anything about pregnancy or recovery. Bullshit. There are so many resources for everyone. Thousands of books have been published, blogs and websites exist, and also, oh, I don't know, the doctor that's been doing checkups on your wife throughout her pregnancies? But sure, there are no resources when no one is there to spoon feed…

Porn acts like a drug: the more you do it, the more extreme you need it to be to get your dopamine hit. My biggest issue is people who defend it, like if you think porn is a detriment to society as a whole, it means you think masturbation is bad and men should never have sex I know, right? As if one couldn't masturbate without porn. You have a brain, use it! But they can't anymore, because they've fried it, so they're incapable of just using their imagination.

It absolutely is. I'm in the film industry, as an actress (although transitioning to another, somewhat related, industry now) and I was sexually assaulted at a casting when I was in my early 20s. Networking is a minefield because some men use it to try and find gf/someone to have sex with rather than what it's meant for. It's full of NVM/LVM.

These replies are not as witty as they think they are. They're just sad. I hope someday they open their eyes and realise that they've not built anything lasting for themselves by "sucking d*ck for money". Or at least I hope they'll have the good sense to invest in things like property to give themselves the means to live once they decide to leave this "career".

That's because deep down they know, they all know the truth. And it scares them shitless, because if all women knew too, they'd have to seriously step up or be left alone, lonely, miserable and helpless in their pigsty. They know that only a few of them would be picked because only a few of them are actually worth our time and energy. And that's exactly why they hate FDS. I’ve trained my brain to feel instant repulse at them & see them as a lost cause. I wish I could do that to my mother. For all his good qualities, and no matter how much I love him, my dad is 100% an LVM. If she'd dropped him the first time he cheated, I wouldn't have been such a huge pickme in my 20s. Of course, he's cheated again now, and he's got the woman pregnant, fucking disgusting. I don't think she'll leave him, but I can't do anything about it. Found FDS and got my arse in therapy thank…

A first date is like an interview. And most jobs have a probationary period (at least here in the UK) of 3 months, which is similar to the 3 months FDS recommends to wait as a minimum for sex (some jobs have longer probationary periods, just like some women wait longer).

Ugh, I met my African side of the family recently; I have many aunts, uncles and cousins on that side, and nearly all the men sucked. Only one male cousin didn't suck, everyone else... All parading around like peacocks, one of my uncles had an argument in public, in front of the whole family and neighbours, with a woman he is seeing; it was so pathetic. He was so violent in his words and body language, it was disgusting. I would have been better off never knowing them. I don't regret meeting my …

Same. When I was at uni, I dated someone for a bit who finished high school but didn't pass his high school degree (baccalauréat, as it's called in my country) and went straight to work. It's definitely a point of pride, and to an extent I can understand. When I save for stuff, I don't want them handed to me on a platter. I like being able to provide for myself, I'm an adult, I want to feel like one. There is pride in knowing you've managed your money responsibly. But I certainly wouldn't be so rude to someone helping me!

I'm glad I could help even in a small way! 😊 It's so easy to fall in those patterns, even when you start the relationship in a good place, so don't blame yourself too much. We're socially conditioned to want to make things comfortable for others, even those of us whose parents set up a good (or better)example. I lived with an ex, and I regretted not listening to my gut because he ended up doing nothing while and my mate (we lived with a friend of mine) did it all. Lots of arguments only marginal…

It's the classic divide and conquer. They invade any female space to ensure we don't share our experiences because if we do then we realise it's not us, we're not crazy. It doesn't benefit them, so they tried to prevent it. FDS is a breath of fresh air. I'm so glad it's helped you see that it wasn't you, and it wasn't your fault. Because it really wasn't.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/05/21 08:57 PM

The risk with telling your standards to men is that they could pretend to meet them to get close to you, and then revert back to being who they actually are once they think you're "hooked". Then they've wasted your time and energy. You want to meet/be with someone who already meets your standards as normally they are, and filter out the rest. If they want to level up, good for them. But you shouldn't be the reason they do, they should do that for themselves.

I know, right?! They trap themselves and the woman but act as though it was an immaculate conception, when they know full well they wanted to get their dick wet. No one is forcing them to have unprotected sex (or any sex at all for that matter); they're physically stronger and they're the ones with a dick, on which they could easily put a condom.

it’s honestly a bit disheartening to see someone I looked up to so much for not being pressured into sexualizing herself finally succumbing to those pressures (even if she claims that was not her intention in releasing these pictures). It's quite sad that she doesn't realise that it doesn't matter what her intention was since, at the end of the day, she still sexualised herself. 😔
