There isn’t an easy answer to this question, it really depends on the situation. I’ve found that some girls love when you text them often while it freaks others out and makes them feel smothered. In my experience, texting a girl regularly can definitely show interest but too much texting will come across as you being needy or desperate. Your best bet is to gauge how she reacts to being texted and see if she texts first sometimes and then go from there.

Overall good content but I’m not sure if I agree that you should do 90% of the talking. People love to talk about themselves and while you may appear more dominant by leading the conversation, you can do that without doing the vast majority of the talking. Letting the girl talk more will make her feel that you really care about what she has to say.

The idea OP is referring to is "outcome independency". The idea is that you're going out to a club with friends to have fun, relax, maybe drink a little. Going out with the mindset that you're doing so only to pick up girls tends to cause you to try too hard because you're so focused in it. In being independent of the outcome, you have a fun night with friends and as a bonus you may take a girl home in the end.

There's a difference between talking about your cool hobbies and having interests, and presenting every accomplishment within that hobby to the people you talk to. For example, you could be chatting with someone about sports and say how you recently got into weight lifting. You don't want to come right out and say "I've been hitting them gym a lot lately. I hit personal bests in several lifts the other day. I'm getting checked out by a lot more girls now". Instead, you should talk about why you …

Definitely. I've found that at a certain point, usually after a couple dates, it's best to either end things with the girl or to be clear about what you feel (or don't feel). Some girls end up being ok with just having casual sex, while others agree to move on when they find out the feelings they are developing aren't mutual.

Have you thought about talking to a therapist? I know there's usually a negative stigma towards it, but it has helped myself and a couple friends to talk to someone neutral who won't judge you about it.

Although I don't have children with my ex, I was in a similar situation. I was seeing other girls months before she started fucking other guys. We tried to remain friends, she would lie about what she was doing to "protect me". We've been apart for about a year now, haven't had contact in over a month. Nothing about the end of a relationship is easy, and cutting off someone you were so incredibly close with may be one of the hardest things you ever do in life (socially I mean). Focus on you unti…

Do you have a link to the post? I did something similar by writing a letter meant for my ex with all of my feelings, but have never heard the idea of responding through her eyes.

Why do you like when a girl intentionally doesn't text you back right away? I've always thought that playing games and waiting X amount of time comes off as annoying.

Thank you for such a detailed response... You're definitely right, I feel like something is missing by not having her, and I do miss the comfort of her. We still talk; we broke up on good terms and were close friends before dating. We made each other better when we were together. I've been doing the whole "self improvement" thing for two years now, before and during my time with her. I've been lifting, changed my wardrobe, etc. I'm just not exactly sure how to get over her. I feel that I'm over …

Wow I really needed to read a post like this... One question though, how do you convince yourself that you're better off without your ex after you have been in love? I find myself turned off by the idea of having one night stand type hookups now, and it still hurts to think that my ex may end up happier with another guy than she was with me.

I usually just say "ok that's fine with me". A lot of times it's her way of reassuring herself that you don't plan on going on a date just so that you can have sex with her. Just go on the date, have fun, be outcome independent, and let it go where it will.

I'm in the same boat as OP but I've always focused on myself, even when in a relationship. Do I now just keep doing shit for myself, but cut out women right now?

This is my Seddit reading list I've saved from the past few threads on suggested books to read: Models Conquer your Campus How to win friends and influence people How to stop worrying and start living Art of public speaking Magic bullets The picture of Dorian grey Narcissus and goldmund A thousand tiny failures The art of seduction The 48 laws of power Book of pook

To everyone in this thread that's saying it's incredibly disrespectful to lie to end the date quickly- the date is only happening because the girl lied on her Tinder profile. I'm not advocating lying, personally I'd go for a quick date then leave. But I don't think it's inappropriate to lie in this specific case, because lying is the only reason she got you to go on the date.

It's one of my favorite movies, I'll definitely read the book if they're so similar. Thanks!

I did know that actually, I've never read it though and didn't want to suggest it because of that. And the movie is more commonly known. Have you read the book/ is it good?

Not a book but a movie. If you haven't seen Fight Club, every time I watch it I feel like I gain a different perspective on life. May be one of the deepest movies I've ever seen.

I understand that, I meant more as a general thing, being charming seems to be an attractive feature. I actually have a girlfriend currently so I'm not even trying to pick up girls for the time being, I had just always wondered what people meant when the referred to this guy as charming.

What happens if the girl answers no to any of the questions? Do you just walk away, or is there a line you say to eject yourself from this specific type of interaction?

Why hold the drink at waist height opposed to chest height? Not saying you're wrong, I've just never heard that rule before.

Can you define "C&F accusations", and "(A1-A3 in MM)"? Still kinda new to this seduction stuff, thanks.

I see how your strategy worked in this situation, I have a similar scenario but with a few important differences. The girl I'm trying to get with I've never hooked up with before, and she has a lot of guys all over her, I'm not the only one like OP here seems to be (at least at the reunion party he's the only one). Could a similar strategy work for me, even though the girl I want has plenty of other options?

So because I'm relatively new to seduction, I'm low on the scale, but as I improve, I'll be seen as more attractive and will attract more girls?

I agree completely, they'd definitely be situational and wouldn't work in a decent amount of places.

I really like the concept of these, making it blatantly obvious that you're trying to talk to the girl seems like it would be easy and effective.

Depends on the girl. I've gotten cocky, asshole, and cocky asshole. I get just cocky most frequently.

I've found over the past year that I've been hooking up with and being with girls that every girl I've been with has called me cocky. I guess being cocky works for me because girls still want to be with me, but I don't like having a reputation of being a cocky asshole. How do i remain confident and show it without coming across as cocky?

How do I deal wit an asshole intentionally cockblocking me? I've tired calling him out on his shit and that didn't work.

I'm at camp this week, trying to get with an HB10. Her personality is incredibly flirty, so I can't pick up on any IOI's because she gives them to every guy she talks to. I've isolated her a few times now and I can tell she won't be receptive if I try to kiss her. She says she doesn't hook up with random guys and will want a relationship or nothing. How do I get her to hook up with me as a "random guy"?

I'm at camp for the week, and I'm trying to get with an HB10 that's here. I've become friends with her, and we flirt a lot. Problem is, she flirts with everyone, and I can't tell if she wants to get with me or not because of it. How can I tell if a girl wants me when she flirts with everyone?

I'm at a camp type setting for the week. My friend is trying to get with a girl, I can tell all he has to do is make the move to kiss her. How can I convince him that it's that simple? He really likes her and is afraid to fuck up.

Is there a general rule on drinking when trying to pick up girls? I've read that it's bad and makes it difficult, but I've never attempted to pick up girls when I'm drunk.

I feel like I'm just shooting down all your ideas here, but only half the staff is 21. But we do have "outings" as they call them, I can probably make something happen at one of those. Good call.

I'm a counselor at a day camp, and there's a hot new counselor this year that I'm trying to hook up with. Problem is, I can't figure out how to isolate her in a camp environment. There really isn't enough time for me to see her during the day to build up enough attraction between us. Any ideas on what to do?

Not at all. I hooked up with a girl one time who looked forward to getting with me simply because she liked taking the lead with guys who weren't too experienced. It was actually really fun and she made it easy.

It hurts my back and neck after sitting up straight for a few minutes... do I just need to sit properly for that to stop? Or am I doing something wrong?

I've found in situations like this, it works to acknowledge that you're being a pussy. Tell yourself how disappointed you'll be if you don't make a move. Basically, motivate yourself.
