Thanks brother! Practice makes perfect, so I just gotta keep putting myself out there and making myself better.

Yeah man, that’s all it was. I drank a couple of beers and had a good conversation with a cool woman. The ex wasn’t much of a communicator. So it felt nice to have some genuine conversations. Don’t know if I will go out with that one again, but I’m planning to have many more days in the foreseeable future

To be completely honest, it was awkward. But it was my first date with someone in nearly a decade, so I’m a little rusty haha it felt good to put myself out there though

I totally understand this thought process. But I was pretty beat up at the beginning of all this, telling myself I would never find someone to love me again. It’s just nice now to have the attention of the opposite sex. I’m not looking for a relationship, just to meet some cool ladies (yes plural, not looking to get tied down). But I’m sure everyone is different, and needs to prioritize things differently. My priority right now is getting out of the house, and having some fun for once. And hangi…

The gym was a hobby of mine before this all went down. Now I’m in the gym at a minimum 6 days a week following a structured program. It’s amazing what you can do when you have time to take care of the things that are important to you.

Thanks. That last sentence really lands with me. I need to keep that in mind.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I have good days and I have bad days. Hoping the bad days get fewer and fewer.

Had an appointment with a doctor yesterday. Trying to work my way through some of my mental issues. It’s just gonna be a long road.

I just saved this comment, if for nothing else than the book recommendations. Thank you for that.

Thank you very much for the kind words. It’s just hard to see the first through the trees right now.

Oh man I really hope that is the case. The way I feel right now, it feels like it could be years before I find someone else. I had already made it a habit over the last 18 months or so to go to the gym, so my body is improving, but I still have a ways to go before I am happy with myself. My in ability to eat right now is certainly not helping the situation

Well I’m 32, so not too old to have a family right now, but I have no clue when I’ll be mentally capable of being in a relationship again, so the family thing might be a lost dream. It’s just hard for me to see the silver lining right now

Oh man I have no plans to be in any kind of relationship anytime soon

Yes, I know. The logistics will work out fine. She is not fighting me on anything. She is taking her car, I’ll take mine. Splitting the little credit card debt we have down the middle. It’s the emotional stuff that is killing me right now. We have been trying, unsuccessfully, to have a child. Knowing where I am at now, I will probably never have a family. We were also looking into buying our first home. Now I may never be a home owner. I have no plans now. My whole world has been shattered. I kn…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
