Confidence will always come through competence and skills. To be confident you need to know the domain in which you wish to become more confident. To be confident speaking in public, you need to exercise and improve your skills of speaking in public, for example. To be confident as an engineer, you need to improve your skills in that domain. I shared a few of these ideas in more detail in an old video that I posted on youtube called: How To Build Real Confidence? | Mastery Order --> https://www.…

Relationships are built on trust, character and reciprocity. If you have such a foundation with the woman that you care about, you will have a great relationship. Sports is another thing. It depends what kind of sport you pick. basketball might not be the best for you, but weightlifting might. Play your advantages instead of seeing them as disadvantages. If you also enjoy challenging ideas and if mastery and masculinity are subjects that interest you, I invite you to explore the videos I share o…

We live in a time where men have not so many examples to look up to and learn what being a mature man means, all while many are pointing their fingers at masculinity, trying to redefine it based on their own convenience and selfish self-interest. For this reason, I created Mastery Order (for now only on YouTube). A platform to share and challenge ideas in order to pursue mastery, not for titles and recognition but to serve. To serve the ones you love and care about, to serve a purpose or an idea…

It is just a habit that you need to change/switch a bit. Maybe this will help: How To Build A Habit? -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw5rj9V3Xqk Understanding your triggers is one thing, the challenging part is to determine another reward that will help you relax after a week of work and also not mess up your game the next day. Figure out another activity that will give you that same reward effect. What are other things that you enjoy that could impact your game maybe in a positive way? What …

Wasting time is a lack of self-control when it comes to distractions and probably also a lack of purpose behind your actions. Habits and routines that you formed throughout the years get triggered and you mindlessly waste your time, waiting for the day to pass by. Maybe put a focus initially on determining what bad habits you have and set up practices to change them. Maybe this will help: How To Build A Habit? -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw5rj9V3Xqk Self-control and willpower play a huge …

In general, it is a lack of self-control when it comes to distractions, and habits and routines that you formed throughout the years that get triggered. Maybe put a focus initially on determining what bad habits you have and set up practices to change them. Maybe this will help: How To Build A Habit? -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw5rj9V3Xqk Self-control and willpower play a huge role here, and if your willpower is depleted because it is spent on useless tasks, your self-control ability, me…

Let's agree that we do not agree. You talk now about never using absolute words and phrasing, while your response contained the following "Nope, no regrets, ever!" Furthermore, I only talk about the possibility of regret with every choice that you make since you can never know 100% what the outcome is as well as the possibility of regret when it comes to unmade choices. I do not support the idea of dwelling in the past too much and overthinking past decisions that did not go as expected, but if …

Glad to read that you have a great family and a satisfying life and career. This however doesn't automatically mean that your statements are not childish and naive. Glad to hear that your daughter is healthy and well, but I still can't understand how can you respond to the statement that I made "you know that as soon as you step through one door, all the other doors will close" with "No, they won't..." when the choice that you had to make, whether to go through abortion or not is the perfect exa…

"Swept away?" meaning the direction of your life will be dictated by something else, not you. You will drift in whichever direction you are pushed if you are indecisive. "Not unless you let it happen that way." if you let it happen it means you took a decision. "And... so what, maybe it'll be better." it is a bit naive to believe that your decisions cannot have drastic consequences. Maybe you haven't been yet in situations where poor decisions can weigh a lot. "No, they won't, some options may b…

Glad to be of service. I am not an expert in writing, but here are a few points that I always consider when I write something. The essay should have 3 parts: Introduction, Body of the essay, and Conclusion. Use the introduction to inform the reader what your essay is about. Use the body of the essay to support the points from the introduction and present your arguments (you can give your perspective and also some counter perspective and analyze both). Use the conclusion to summarize everything u…

I am not familiar with the attachment theory, but from a brief look into its description, it seems to tackle similar points. I will also have a look into it. Thank you for the input. All the best to you!

The context for the second one was: It is always hard to admit your own darkness, just like it was hard for your family members to admit theirs, but remember that if you fail to recognize this, you will end up projecting your unaccepted tendencies into other people, just like other people did to you. In this case, I mean to say that if you fail to recognize your dark traits or if you ignore them and pretend you do not have them, you will tend to point them out into the world by projecting them o…

It is important as men to build ourselves up by looking to other men and to traits that are admirable. Traits like loyalty, honor, the ability to keep one's word and promises, good character, service to others. Regardless of how the current events unfold in societies around the globe, nothing can break such a man and eventually, others will see the value in that and will incorporate in their lives these values. I hope you find the strength and discipline to cultivate such values for yourself and…

Glad to read that the message resonated with you. Sometimes a harsh and honest judgment is the best choice one has to overcome obstacles, and many times the nasty things that we complain about are the nasty things we fail to recognize in ourselves. All the best to you!

Glad to read that you read through and that the idea resonated with you. Definitions like "good", "evil", "self" and so on are necessary to be able to create terms and concepts of understanding to get a better grasp of reality. These become problematic only when we decide to repress or reject completely some of the traits that we obviously have just to fit into one definition alone, instead of trying to understand these traits and maybe integrate them fully or partially into our existence. All t…

You have a good point. Taking action is a great first step. You do not need a plan to start, but eventually you need a plan, a direction and a purpose. If this direction and purpose is not for you and you alone, the chances of resentment can only come if you give up completely. Setbacks will occur, but if you give for the sake of making things better, the resentment that you talk about will have less chances of happening. All the best to you!

Anytime. I am glad to read that you are on the same page. Trust is the base for every relationship and every success. The worth of a man is his word and his ability to keep it. I am trying to share this message, here and on YouTube, with the hope that some with catch up and understand some basic principles that seem to be forgotten or left to the side. It is up to each of us to do our part and if the direction of todays world is not the one we like, we should put some effort to make it a bit bet…

I appreciate you sharing your challenges. It is admirable that you made 3 years ago a decision to change. I can only imagine that this is not an easy task. Addictions are hard to overcome since you will need to create on one hand new habits that will in time overwrite the old habits that lure you to your addictions and on the other hand you need to clear your system from the harmful substances that do the same thing. But it is not impossible. It is a mental and physical thing and you can have a …

Thank you for taking the time to give an answer. I agree with what you say, but it would be interesting to know in which areas discipline and self-control are an issue so that the problems can be tackled specifically and not just in a general form. It is good to be aware of the principles of discipline and self-control and why these elements will bring a lot of benefits in someone's life, but it is also important to know how to apply these principles with practical examples specifically tailored…

I think you missed the whole point of the post. If you read the post completely, you will see that it specifically refers to avoiding the hard and difficult ways in favor of shortcuts even when knowing that the shortcuts will not bring the desired results. It doesn't say to choose hard things when it is not necessary. It says not to avoid hardship when hardship is necessary. All the best to you!

Maybe you should change your dictionary. Merriam-Webster dictionary: Humility = freedom from pride or arrogance Cambridge dictionary: Humility = the quality of not being proud because you are aware of your bad qualities Oxford Dictionary of English Humility = the quality of not thinking that you are better than other people Posting something for the sake of pointing a finger without documenting yourself of without even trying to see if the idea that is posted makes sense fits the idea of lack of…

Being of service is the greatest satisfaction I can get. Becoming a man is a quest I will do my best pursue my whole life. Something I will never achieve, but by pushing my limits and becoming better I can maybe be more useful to the ones around me. Pursuing mastery in the service of others. All the best to you! Become the best man that you can be!

Why? I think it is your duty to embrace failure and not to find excuses for failing. Taking ownership of ones failures means intention to get better and not fail again in the same manner.
