The evidence for "overblowing" such an undercovered and under-adressed issue is usually someone they sae on the internet saying "all men are x". The simple response is that while obviously most men you would never engage with nor would they be a threat, you unfortunately don't which ones are "the good guys". So what's targeted are not individuals, but the group identity of maleness and masculinity that enables entitlement and violence.

Not that it matters much (the comparative here being who - Churchill with his manmade famine in India? The French and their massacre of Algerians?) - but throwing hard sus on your stats. If your citation is the infamously unscientific black book of communism, know that they included nazi soldiers in the count - in which case, again, show me a country/system/ideology without millions of deaths? Not always, in majority of countries around the world abortion is outlawed, practically inaccessible or socially shunned. Not to mention the horrible psychological and physical toll it has on the body were it accessible, not to mention the super high costs in some places.

You know an ideology is strong when people take it as natural. I would strongly suggest reading "capitalist realism" by Mark Fisher - writes exactly about this sentiment of seeing capitalism as the only "natural" version of reality. That's just a recipe for not achieving anything in politics ever. I believe everyone should have equal, free access to quality healthcare, which must include contraceptives. Totally get what you're saying, though I wouldn't disregard similarities between male and female contraceptives. My gf has had that implant contraceptive that's semi-permanent and it completely fucked with her hormones to unbelievable levels. Even the pill alone can mess up your weight, moods, skin and MH. Contraceptives overall I think are in their infancy stages still, but you're right that men clearly need different biological approaches.

Well I am not a men's rights activist, I'm a men's liberationist- my reason for being here is looking for men's unity, not division. Only if we stand can look beyond our difference to find common ground can we achieve things like proper men's contraception, MH help etc...

Thanks for looking through my bs - yes I am a proud communist and my first insight into men's issues were through radical feminist writings. Nonetheless I'm a strong proponent of issue-based advocacy as it can cut through ideological bullcrap. I'm sory but that's simply not true, if you read any basic gender studies 101 textbook or any piece of feminist work you'll find it's wildly different from your imagination. It's also explicit about NOT BLAMING MEN but rather thw broader sociopolitical system. It's akin to critiques of capitalism- it would be a fallacy to think it's about individuap businessmen but the system as a whole.

If your only problem is affirmative action that's cool - you'd find many like minded feminists. I too am against affirmative action. But to disregard the entire movement and ignore any historical development over it is reactionary and fruitless.
