What's your thoughts on r/menslib?

There was a post "debunking" the idea that the amount of false accusations for rape is high on r/menslib a few days ago.

If you look at this post on reveddit.com, you'll notice that any information contradicting it was promptly deleted.

No, they don't genuinely critically engage with issues. It is a propaganda channel, just an intermediary one.

I just went on there and the first thing i see is "why we shouldnt fear a false rape epidemic" so yeah im 100% certain that page is run by feminazis and is filled with man hate.

There is literally a post on that sub questioning men’s issues are important enough to even talk about. Reading that thread reveals all sorts of handwringing about how to talk about men’s issues in a way that doesn’t make them seem more important than women’s problems.

Menslib is a vile place and while this sub may give into bitterness and anger a little too much, Menslib is a thousand times worse.

They do not care about the wellbeing of men; they care about molding shaping men to be better and more useful to women. They hate themselves and self flagellate over mankind’s perceived “sins” towards women and how we can atone. It’s all a crock of shit and no self respecting male would enter that place much less stay.

The only good thing about them is that they act like a quarantine zone for the men who have been corrupted by this self defeating ideology so that they don’t spread the infection elsewhere.

Honestly if you want to know about why people have a problem with them just type Menslib into the search bar here and there’s a lot of well thought out criticism about them.

Most of the policies and practices that discriminate against men are a direct result of feminism. You can’t affect a positive change without identifying and acknowledging the cause.

Advantaging women over men under affirmative action, policies advantaging girls in education, denying male victims of domestic violence the same help females receive, advantaging male owned businesses over male owned: these are a few of the many biased against males directly resulting from feminism.

Feminism is anti-male. It’s laughable to claim it’s the solution to men’s issues.

You mean that they generally look at men's issues through a feminist lens, placing emphasis on the female perspective and how men's issues affect women.

In essence it's spinning men's issues into actually affecting women worse, and trying to find ways to deal with that fallout as opposed to helping men.

This is a false feminist narrative. There was no such time and most men's rights advocates reject this historical revisionism. Men have always been subject to strict and harmful gender roles, some worse than those applied to women, and while women have been freed of many of their gender role restrictions, this has been less so for men. MRAs in general seek to free men of harmful gender roles not keep them as wage slaves and exclude them from intimacy with their families. You mistake us for tradcons.

Many reforms that have benefited women are not gender neutral and so have been harmful to men. There are programmes to get more women in stem, but not to get more men in law, teaching, medicine nor social work. There is law in the UK to keep women out of prison, yet 95% of the prison population are male, and sentencing of men us already harsher. The law in Canada and the US favours children being placed with their mother after divorce, rather than default shared parenting....

I was banned there for making a criticism about feminism. It was about double standards. No guy I ever spoke to was in favor of double standards. But you are not allowed to talk about it on men's lib? I think women feminists are moderating that sub and other feminists are making posts, because I just cannot see how men would think the way many of them do. Even the politically left-leaning guys on this subreddit are not as biased in favor of women as these people are.

r/menslib is more welcoming and open to speaking about men's issues. This page just focuses' on hating women. There are also a few significant studies done on this page. If you want to go into it, I suggest you look up "men's right Reddit is anti-women," you'll find more than enough proof. The fourth link is my favorite, titled "The Case of Men's Rights and Men's Liberation on Reddit." It's a substantial scholarly article written by not one but two men on how r/MensRights compares with the r/MensLib Reddit. r/MensRights uses derogatory terms in their comments and top posts increasingly more than r/MensLib. If you were for Men's rights, that's the place to be as they use more versatile and overall accepting language in their top comments and posts. They speak about real issues men struggle with, not how women always get the 'easy way out' of things.
