How long have you been divorced? Any light at end of tunnel? Any reductions in alimony?

I hoping too for the gods and Trump can do some sort of modification to this lifetime alimony (CA here) its totally BS. Attorney advised to wait it out (5yrs) and play nice guy and hopefully we can file for some sort of modification/reduction. Hence she has a bachelor’s degree in teaching field that i helped pay for but currently works on part time as a sub. 9 more months to go before C/S ends 🙏🏽

Brace yourself brother. Very similar situation 21yrs married in California, 2 kids 18, 16. Child support only for one and spouse support permanent lifetime 🤬. Lawyer up fast and don’t wait last minute like i did. Better days are ahead, just remain optimistic and work on yourself. Best of luck

Guess i’ll just take my 1/2 of earnings from home and let judge decide for us longevity/amount of $$ for alimony prayers

I’m on the same boat, sort of, she filed but everything she put i agree. Agreement is 50/50 on sale of house after debts get paid off by sale of house. I live in California. Lady at court house said not to worry if i do turn in my paperwork if i agree. Only thing pending is C/S and spousal which lady said comes later

Got some numbers from court house access center. CS would be 892$ and spousal 1496$. Clerk said those numbers can change if we come up with agreement or let judge decide if it gets that far
