I find my overthinking comes from the perspective of hoping they will choose me. Instead, I now look to choose them instead of hoping they choose me. In practical terms, I see someone I am interested in and say, "Who are they? I want to meet them." vs. I see someone I am interested in and thinking, "What do I say that they will like? How do I look?" etc.

For a first kiss near the end of a first date I never kiss longer than a few seconds. My goal is to give them a sweet, tender taste of what's to come if they go out with me again. What works best for me is when saying good bye, they usually proactively want to hug me, so I'll give them the hug, but as I pull back, my arms slide across their back and rest on their hips, so I am holding them close to me, not letting them back away. But it's gentle, so that if they really wanted to leave, they'd st…

Definitely helps to have upfront open conversation about what you are looking for before the vibe gets hot. I personally LOVE open communication, makes everything so much easier. Have you read The Ethical Slut? I'm reading that now, even though I'm not really interested in poly relationships at this time.

Are you telling your extra partners about your desired FWB-ish type relationship desires? I would think once you make your intentions clear and they accept, there's no need for you to worry about how you should behave. As long as they know what you are seeking and are OK with it, you can get all the cuddling and emotional connection you desire without them thinking it means more than what you are seeking.

Thanks for sharing. I had no idea women posted their perspectives here, would love to see more of this type of write up, assuming it's from actual women giving honest impressions.

The fact you didn't get butt hurt sounds like a success to me.

You did great. If a woman backed off when I went to kiss I probably would have thought the date was dead and over, but you kept going.

No. I don't think the risks of Accutane are worth it. I took it as a teen and a few months later I got Crohn's disease. There are tons of lawsuits against the maker of Accutane bc they believe it gave them Inflammatory Bowel Disease. It's not worth it the risk.

Realize that most women don't care about acne. Sure, some do, but the level of importance most place on how a guy looks is far, faaaar lower than men. I've had acne most of my life. I'm 35 and it's pretty bad on my back and chest, but no woman has ever stopped seeing me bc of it.

I can relate. My face muscles can feel really tight and smiling feels awkward. I'll look in the mirror and smile. Then try to hold a broad shit-eating grin for 2 minutes. It really loosens me up. The more I do this, the easier smiling is when I am out in public. I don't give them my shit-eating grin, because that'd be weird, a small smile and it helps a lot more than resting bitch face.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
