I was really struggling with abundance mindset a year ago, I didn't understand it - do you have to fake having options when you don't have any? But I understand it now. It starts closer to your sense of self, and how you view the world than I thought. I saw suggestions to try talking to many other girls, which isn't a bad idea. But if you have scarcity mindset, talking to lots of girls will most likely result in getting blown out repeatedly, which won't help. There's a psychological theory calle…

You should be honest about how you feel, but don't go into the conversation too hard. If there are things about the casual nature of the relationship that is making you unhappy, you owe it to yourself and to him to be honest about that. You don't have to say 'I want to be in a committed serious relationship with you.' But you can bring up the fact that him not replying etc. makes you feel like he might not care about you that much when you're not together. It may or may not be something he is aw…

I'm sure you've seen guys the same or less physically attractive than you do better with more attractive women. So what's the difference between you? In the last few months I've gotten with girl's that are hotter than I would have thought I stood any chance with a few years ago. I might have improved a bit looks/dress wise, but not significantly. What has changed is my attitude, and my social skills. So if looks were the only factor, maybe I could have been getting these kinds of girls years ago…

That was her frame. You can engage with a woman's frame, but if you don't change it up, make your own and get her into it, she'll get bored. You're not adding anything or showing anything of yourself

Okay, say you get good at seduction techniques. Which you should anyway, it's still a good idea. But say you do. But you don't truly believe that the girl you're attracted to will want you if they knew who you really are. That's not going to work, and it's not going to make you happy, trust me. You're expecting girls who don't share any similar interests to you, who don't like the same music, don't like the same clubs, and who are attractive enough to find many guys who are physically fitter tha…

I've learnt that the whole 'no one can love you unless you love yourself' cliche is true. I've learnt that seeing women as a route to happiness doesn't work. There are lots of techniques and attitudes you can adopt, and they can work, but long term it's really not the way. I'm not saying that using pick up techniques instead of working on yourself will get you lots of short term sex, but not meaningful relationships. I'm saying working on yourself is the better, faster route to both. On some lev…

That's a shitty thing to tell someone tbh. To be fair, I could say the same thing - some of the best sex I've had has been ONS or casual, because it's just sexual with nothing else attached. I wouldn't take it too much to heart. If you'd have been a ONS for her, maybe she'd be saying similar about you to someone else. Also, were you on good terms when you broke up, and who broke up with who? She might have said it just to be hurtful, because it's a strange thing to tell someone.

You should probably want that stuff anyway. Assuming you're not attracted to boring fat girls. Why should a girl be fit and interesting just so you'd want to fuck them?

You're the same build, but have roughly 20% more body mass? I'm 178cm and 64kg/140lbs. I'm toned, but very skinny. I need to gain about 8kg. 175cm and 50kg is extremely underweight. I have gotten with hot girls, but it's extremely sporadic. I'm not saying not to approach, but focus should be in gaining weight, working out, working on life goals and career. If he can approach whilst doing all that stuff, then great. But those long term things should be the focus, and will bring more success and a…

Don't try to just be funny with girls you're attracted to. Make amusing observations or share your thoughts with people in general - friends, coworkers. If you're able to be funny with friends, but not girls you're attracted to, the problem is you're worrying too much about outcome - needing to make them like you. Feeling comfortable and open to saying anything that comes to mind seems to be when people perceive me to be funny. As someone else said, it's also about rolling with it if something y…

I do the same sometimes. I suggest getting the rest of your life outside of dating sorted, if it's not already. Dating should be part of an already rich life, not the thing only thing that makes your life enjoyable. And having the rest of your life in order is the best thing you can do to improve your dating life. Apart from that, it's good to a certain extent to mull over what you could have done differently so you can learn. But if it's making you unhappy, this ruminating is part of what you'r…

Did these turn into something more, like not necessarily long relationships, but meeting up regularly?

Yeah, maybe it was that. I think she's extremely sensitive, and blunt, and just a bit crazy in general. Despite how hot she is, I don't think it's worth the mental stress to try anything more, and I think it probably wouldn't work at this point in any case.

I agree. Wouldn't want a relationship with her after that, but really a shame I didn't get to smash. Oh well, next.

You're probably right. I think she needs someone to call her on her shit, which I can, but didn't at the time. But even then, I don't really want to date someone that admits to taking their stress out of people around her. It's a shame because she's incredibly hot. Probably the hottest girl I've been on a date/made out with. But I said the same thing a couple months ago about someone else, so I guess I'm making progress. Really wanted to fuck her though.

It was her misunderstanding - we'd already agreed on what night, she asked what we were doing, I posted link to event with all details and time. Guess she didn't read properly, OR she was just fucking around from the start. Or she's legitimately kind of crazy. I think all three. She'd been pretty engaged, in message but especially on the first date, but also sent overly short/vague messages, so it was easy for misunderstandings. She acted crazy, and I didn't immediately call her out on her shit.…

He means that he has enough confidence and self esteem that it isn't an obstacle. The alternative is feeling like he doesn't deserve them. This feeling in itself would potentially be an issue. If everything in your life is right, you should feel like you deserve to be with someone you're attracted to who's on your level. Not in an entitled way, just knowing in yourself that you're good enough. Also the follower thing was provided as proof of how attractive she is, not the reason why she was attr…

Don't message again for at least a day, but do message again. Either she'll come out, or she's met someone

I think she's probably genuinely busy. I would take it at face value, if everything went as you say it did. I wouldn't hit her up about this weekend again, but either wait til she contacts you again, or message her after the weekend about meeting up again.

You say misogynists will lose women. That implies that they will get women initially. I have seen women get with guys that they know are misogynistic. I know most women may not, but as a woman, why do you think some women do this?

This comes across as a major incel post, especially the way it references celebrities instead of personal observations, but I do also think there's some truth to it. There are plenty of misogynistic assholes that are successful with women, and it's not a coincidence. If you think about the dynamics of attraction, dominance and non-neediness it makes sense. One way to not be over invested and needy is to look down on women in general. At the extreme it allows for lying and manipulating to get wha…

Oh, fair yeah. But sitting and being friends isn't giving her what she wants, at least I'd assume so if she continues to meet up for dates.

So... what should have been done? If she shows real interest and chases, if you don't validate or give anything back she'll think you're either not interested, or that you're not assertive enough to go after what you want?

Depends. There's 9s and 10s out there that are probably attracted to you, but they also have a thousand attractive guys to choose from. They have to differentiate somehow. Shit tests and rejections is one way.

Thank you too! That's what I thought, but I think I put her off, it was a few weeks ago. I did ask her out a couple of times since then, but she was either busy, or had gone home for the week. She didn't counter offer, and after a while I stopped messaging her. I randomly met her when we were both out at a bar this weekend. She engaged me, wanted me to sit with her for a while, and we chatted a bit, but she didn't want to make out or go home with me. We went to spend time separately with our fri…

There are plenty of women in the world, but there are less extremely attractive women, and if you're not attracting them, you personally don't have abundance. You're right, and that probably is how I should be viewing it. But also I'd rather be having sex with a beautiful woman than be doing any of my hobbies or interests to be honest. It's kind of a catch-22. I'm not pining for their attention as much as I'm pining for their ass in my face aha.

Even if I'm not pursuing women for validation, I'm still going to be invested in being able to have sex and relationships with someone I find attractive, and the more attractive they are, the more invested I'll be. But I do think there's a lot of validation seeking underlying my interactions at the moment and working on myself will probably help me a lot. My life outside of relationships is definitely far from where I'd like it to be, so I should be focusing on that right now.

Thank you for this. To be clear, my problem isn't really at the approaching stage, it's after I get the phone number, or after the first date or hooking up. How forward, or not I should be. When, how often and what to message after sleeping with someone, or how I should act if I happen to see them in person. Instead of talking in generalities, I'll give a specific example. I went on a date and ended up sleeping with an extremely attractive girl, like a solid 9/10. I messaged her the following ev…

I'm going to assume from this comment that he has generally been more socially successful than you were at his age, and throughout highschool. He might have initially been more socially adept than, or might have gotten lucky with how easily he made friends just by the people he happened to encounter. Validation and confidence is a feedback loop. If you're popular from a young age you'll believe that you deserve to be popular and you'll grow in confidence, which will make it more likely that you …

Does she iniate physical contact unnecessarily, touching your arm etc when in conversation. Complimented you about physical appearance/clothing/style? Asked to hang out/meet up outside of your flat? These are also things you can do to safely test the water and see how she responds. I would probably message her during the day and see if she wants to meet you at a cafe/bar after work (before you go home/on your way home). You know her schedule so do it on a day you know she'll be free. You can the…

You don't eat at home? If it goes well, then you're immediately living with someone you've slept with. Not necessarily bad, and not saying it doesn't happen, but could potentially be pretty awkward. If you move on her and she rejects you, you're now living with someone who's rejected you, and she's living with someone she's rejected. Which is awkward as fuck for you both. Do what you want. Flirt, and see if she reciprocates. But I wouldn't go for it unless I was getting very clear signals.

Girls respond to decisiveness. I've done the same thing as you before - you said the conversation was dry, you knew that, but because she kept it going, so did you. You were waiting for a good time to ask her out. You know it, and she knows it. But you didn't ask, or decisively steer the conversation that way, because engaging in a conversation that she was making the effort to sustain was safer. Not demonstrating decisiveness isn't neutral - it's demonstrating indecisiveness. There isn't a midd…
