Once again, a peak behind the curtain of how women think. As Oprah would say, “You get a Red Pill, and you get a Red Pill...EVERYBODY gets a Red Pill!”.

I don’t really care if I am attractive in their eyes. I am aware of my own value, and work to improve myself for my own benefit, not to attract a woman wanting my assets.

Ha! This reminds me of a former female coworker who took her concealed carry permit, and after she drove up to the shooting range, she accidentally discharged her pistol into the dash of her truck! I guess everyone came running over to see if she was hurt (she wasn't), including the instructor. They then passed her in the course for being able to safely carry her weapon in public.

I was in a very similar situation, with marriage counselors even agreeing with me, yet it ended in her asking for a divorce because I wasn’t making her happy. You can never do enough to make her happy, so concentrate on your kids and yourself. Find a way to connect with your kids. What are your interests? Engage in them and involve the kids if possible. Camping, shooting, hiking, skiing, whatever. And prepare for the inevitable divorce rape. Try to get her working out of the house, so that she’s…

This brought to mind the old joke that men get married with the assumption that their wife will stay the same, and women get married with the assumption that their husband will change. Both are disappointed. It was astounding to experience that dynamic first hand, but fortunately not to the degree as the OP. This is reality. Edit: BTW, my ex became a Social Worker at the end of the marriage.

I don't think anyone is opposed to there being a 'Safety Net' when something unexpected happens. Unfortunately, that Safety Net has become a hammock in much of the West.

58 here. I’m just doing my best to keep out of the Red Pill Rage due to the cost of my divorce. Set goals and keep improving yourself. I agree with getting a dog. Hopefully you’re in your peak earning years and can recoup whatever you lost (if you’ve been married), and be set to enjoy doing whatever it is that you want. Knowing that one is rid of female influence for the rest of their life is true freedom.

“Venom”, “mud-slinging”, “demonizing” and “propaganda” are the words from your post that jump out at me. Are you really sympathetic to MGTOW? There are plenty of guys who are posting here while experiencing the Red Pill Rage. Yes, they do have an axe to grind. Understandably so. These stories not only help them vent, but also remind others of the dark side of that pretty smile that we see daily. There are also plenty of posts of those who are hitting their stride in Going Their Own Way. These ca…

This brought to mind one time during Marriage Counseling when the counselor said something to the effect of “If you two aren’t compatible, maybe after a divorce you could find someone new to marry”. Without any intent to be an asshole, I blurted out “Why would I ever do this again?” Both my ex and the counselor looked shocked. Once you’ve figured out today’s rules of the game, why would any man play?

Looking at the article, there's also an "endorectal cooling device" involved. So you have the heating catheter inserted through the penis, while a cooling device is pushed up your ass to protect your rectal wall from the heat. Think DP for men. Yeah, knock me out.

In my case, this was due to finally being rid of the miserable sow. There was an end in sight. I no longer had to carry her for the rest of my life. Yes, I paid dearly (and still am), but my life has improved drastically. My home is now a place that I love, rather than dread. My kids are seeing that their mother's house is an aberration, and not something to emulate in their own lives. I do what I want, when I want. While married, I would've rated my average happiness at maybe 4/10. Today, nearl…

This is too damned close to my ex. Gained 60 pounds, became depressed, became overwhelmed by her own squalor. All of her promises of being the perfect SAHM were complete bullshit. I lost half of everything I had worked for, but have never been happier.

I really do believe that these executives think that these SJW movies are going to succeed, as they are surrounded by people with their exact same biases. They are part of the media that believes in 57 genders, women are as strong as men, guns are evil, as well are (white) men. Add in the whole #MeToo movement, which made them look insensitive to women, and now they are “Woke” to infinity. I have horses, but only for pleasure riding/camping out. I trim their hooves and keep them at my home. Therefore not a great expense to maintain. Many horse women are more into the social aspect of horses...horse shows, barrel racing, etc. These events require expensive trips and entry fees. Throw in the “proper” tack required, their outfits, farrier and trainer fees, a truck & trailer, and monthly horse boarding. You can see how a woman might decide that financial burden would better be carried…

A wise man can accept wisdom from a source without believing everything from that source. For example, I am agnostic, yet find some great "truths" in different religions.

The most recent comment at this moment was from Tom, and I imagine he is from here. He's given up on relationships altogether, simply focusing on his own interests. THAT was the response that shows how a man in today's world should respond to all of the "inside information" provided above. Any other reaction is illogical.

The main thing that startled me was how quickly all of her promises were forgotten once she got the ring on her finger. As a SAHM, she was going to “run the house like a business”. The first fucking month she forgot to pay the power bill. Then it became a series of complaints that I wasn’t doing half of everything around the house, despite the fact that only I was working. My ex had depression, which she wore as a badge of honor. Was institutionalized, took her psychotropic drugs, used it as a crutch to avoid all responsibility in life. You cannot fix someone who perversely enjoys the attention this diagnosis gives them. Best advice is to get away from her ASAP. Otherwise she’ll be an anchor for the rest of your life.

In my marriage, things were going along okay. Then we had our first child, and all sorts of mental problems arose with my ex. “Fathers abandon their kids” was her mantra, as her parents had divorced and her mom had chased off her dad. My actions to the contrary meant nothing. Just avoid women.
/r/MGTOW16/10/19 10:37 PM

Another possible answer could lie in her being simply unhappy with her life. Rather than do some introspection and improve herself, it’s far easier to decide that you’re not making her happy, therefore you are the problem. Also, you’re attempting to analyze her actions using logic. That really doesn’t work, as their actions are emotion based. How she feels trumps the facts. As others have stated, expect her to attempt a rebound when her new situation doesn’t solve her problems. Don’t fall for it…

Divorced 5 years now, maintained Monk Mode religiously. I can still appreciate an attractive woman. Some shapes/curves just catch your eye. I am still very much heterosexual. I was just in San Francisco this past week, great to visit but better to leave. I heard the average rent is $3,700 per month. Traffic is hell, homeless folks (men) everywhere, noisy AF. Crazy high taxes. I came home last night to dark skies, my dogs & horses, coyotes howling in the distance. This morning I had mustangs walking down my street. My ex was a non-functioning SAHM, who was convinced that I just had fun all day while I was at work. I put her through college to get her Social Work degree, so she too could enjoy the pleasures of working. She made approximately 1/3 of my income, but was fired within 3 months. She then asked for the divorce to cash in. I used that salary as her earning potential, to greatly lessen child support. She has never since come close to earning that initial salary. This shit affects me in my career. Working in Medical Imaging, we are instructed to never give ionizing radiation to a female without first determining if she is pregnant. That could be detrimental to the fetus, especially in the first trimester. Last month I had a patient that was obviously a female biologically, yet her records all stated that she was male. I look back at times in my life where I have "rewarded" myself for something, and it seems to involve solitude. I paid my own way through college, so rather than walk across the stage at graduation, I loaded up a horse and went on a solo camping trip in a Wilderness Area. Then, when I changed careers and had a 2 week gap between my old job and the start of training, I did a solo backpacking trip in another remote Wilderness Area.

There is no MGTOW stance on this, so there is no fallacy. My personal experience is that when I married and my ex desired to be a SAHM, that was fine with me. But the reality was that as a modern woman, she wanted me to earn all the money and then come home and do at least half of the cooking/cleaning/etc. Marriage counselors sided with me on this. Back when my parents were kids (they’re in their 80’s), being a homemaker was difficult role. Laundry done in a bucket and hung on a line. Bread made from scratch. You'll notice the lack of proper capitalization and punctuation, due to his being so distraught over the perceived lack of proper adulation for all things female. Household chores are now to be shared, even if she’s a SAHM. She has all of the benefits, none of the responsibilities. If she’s not happy, it’s your fault. Good luck trying to change her expectations on your marriage. Why would she change such a great deal? Marriage counseling (x3) sided with me on the issues, yet she never changed…

I can’t change the rules that society plays by. Therefore, she will get all the benefits and little to no responsibilities in the real world. While still in my influence, I have consciously applied the theory of actions having consequences. I also live my life that way, to never play the victim. Whether she internalizes these mores when out her own has yet to be seen, but so far so good. And interestingly, I find that I worry more about my 17 y.o. son’s future, due to the same societal rules men…

My 21 y.o. daughter is very much like me, much to her mother’s consternation. We get along great, and have common interests. Avid reader, interested in history. She was 16 when I divorced, and has been able to see clearly what each of her parents are really like. She has told me that she feels like she needs to take on the role of parent when dealing with her mother. That was rewarding to hear.

The best legal advice I got during my divorce was to tempt my ex with lump sum alimony. The attorney that I talked with stated that it's next to impossible for a woman to go back for more support once she's taken a one time payout. However, if she's getting monthly alimony payments, it's incredibly easy to go back to court and convince a sympathetic judge that she deserves more, or at least extend the length of payments for several years more. My ex took the big payday, and she's not been back f…

I was able to get through my divorce without lawyers, got 50% custody of my kids, and things didn’t get too nasty. At one point, at the advice of her friends, my ex went to an attorney. She hit me with all sorts of demands that would’ve escalated things dramatically. I basically told her that if we went that route, my attorney would definitely use her mental history against her. And women are rapists. What about all the school teachers who've been raping their minor students? I suppose that they were not raped? Or maybe they're lying to frame the women. No one here believes that genuine rape is acceptable. However, if you let the women redefine what words mean, then those words are meaningless. I've got two kids and it doesn't affect my MGTOW 'lifestyle' in the slightest. I just don't allow a woman to have any influence in my life. Granted, I had them before I went MGTOW, and would certainly not have another. Also, regarding abortion, I've made a recent shift from being "pro-choice" to "pro-life". I am a Libertarian at heart, so my attitude was that it was their decision to make. But seeing the obvious one-sided nature of the issue so well illustrated in the cartoon above, along with r…

“These manboys behave in hideous, imbecilic, vulgar and obnoxious fashion-in short, they’re borne out of their defective philosophical mother-the radical feminist “. Okay, so her male friend rationally explained why a man would walk away from modern women, and this is her take on MGTOW? I don’t believe she was listening to what he was saying.

I have a job in the medical field that I find very rewarding. I have made a six figure income for probably the last 15-20 years. I was raised with a strong work ethic, and (right or wrong) my self-image is strongly tied to being good at my job while being able to support myself and my kids. But that does not mean that I am involved in consumerism, as I have always lived well beneath my means.

I don’t think there’s much anyone here can say about your situation to change your opinion. We don’t know her, what her n count is, her family situation, etc. So why listen to this anonymous bunch of MGTOW? Just realize that most of us here have been in your shoes. We found the woman that we KNEW was perfect for us. And then it went wrong. And once you experience your “perfect partner” in life drastically change after marriage, and then coolly disembowel you in a divorce (with full legal authori…

Yeah, let the women define what constitutes emotional abuse. My ex would tell you that I was an abusive husband, because I once yelled “Shut up!” at her while driving in heavy traffic. This reminds me of when my SAHW had a friend convince her to do MLM for scrapbooking. I agreed to pony up the $900 for her initial inventory, but made it very clear that I saw this as a social activity for her, and not on par with my job (I was already making 6 figures). My one caveat to her was to not schedule one of her ‘parties’ while I was on-call at work, as our two young children needed to be watched. The VERY FIRST PARTY was scheduled when I was on-call. I’ve just been rewatching Pioneer Quest on Hulu, where two couples live a year on the Manitoba prairie using technology from the 1880’s. VERY difficult, but today’s technology would improve things dramatically. It’s interesting how the wife of the young couple was a ‘modern’ woman, but quickly learned why women cleaned and cooked... she didn’t have the strength to plow or chop wood. A great dose of reality for her.

I think ‘romantic love’ is impossible once you’ve truly digested the Red Pill. The complete faith and trust required to love someone is never going to happen when you understand their true motivations and goals. Should a sheep love it’s farmer when it’s sole purpose is to be sheared, and later become mutton?

Yeah, the ‘powers that be’ on the Left have decided that Joe Biden is not their future (old, white male) so they are using his long-time creepiness to remove him from the race. They’re hoping that this will allow a Kamela Harris type to carry the Party into the future, that is obviously minority female. There’s absolutely no way I could ever be in another LTR after being married/divorced. When you have someone that you trust enough to marry and have children with, use the system to avoid their agreed upon duties while married, and then financially destroy you in the divorce, there is no chance of EVER trusting another woman to that degree. Their words and actions are meaningless until they have power over you. And then it is too late. Having kids doesn’t change what I’ve written above.

If you agree to pay alimony for 5 years, she can easily go back to a very friendly court at 4 years and 6 months to cry poverty and have it extended. However, if she takes the big payday, it’s next to impossible for her to get more. And the statement that ‘divorce sucks, but the aftermath is awesome’ is so incredibly true.

I disagree with your premise that men are a big part of the problem for not committing. The rules of the game grossly favor women in marriage in this modern world. It is a very sane and logical response for men to opt out of a game that is stacked against them. Would you go to Vegas if the casino could change the rules of the game once the cards are dealt?

“How do you want the world to work?” Ummm, it really doesn’t matter how we WANT it to work. The reality is what matters, and when you accept the reality of society’s bias towards women, the logical approach is to leave the game. Not a lot of hate here, just a sober realization that the game isn’t worth playing.

Reading the comments on this article was interesting. One guy pointed out another factor the author missed, that these sassy, college educated women are walking around with up to $100,000 in student loan debt (or as he described it, “anti-dowries”). Add in the fact their degree was probably in some Social/Gender Studies major, so their potential income will not offset such a liability. So maybe math does have something to do with it, just not how the author implied.

Dead on. My ex had the impression that my 10-12 hour work day was just sitting around talking with friends, while she was slaving away watching Oprah as the kids watched their videos. She now gets to work each day, pay her own rent/bills. In 17 months she'll lose her child support, which will be huge as she's already living beyond her means. I do wonder if she's ever realized how bleak her future truly is.

As a conservative, I resent your statement that we think of ourselves "as above over men". I did buy into taking personal responsibility for myself and my family, which has NOTHING to do with feeling superior to others. Having a purpose is not a bad thing in my world. Great points all around! One thing to add is that all this power & attention they have received has not made them happy. So many of today’s women are on various psychotropic drugs due to depression. As MGTOW isn’t a “Club”, per se, it’s not really our job to ‘filter’ those who are angry at women. Everyone here has had their own experiences in dealing with women in today’s society, so who am I to tell them how to react to those events? MGTOW involves coming to the realization that our society and women’s nature does not result in a positive outcome for most men. For most of us, it seems, we have to suffer through things firsthand before we learn this. A few seem to be able to learn by observing the plight of others, saving valuable time & money. Yup. No chaos in my life as I calmly go about improving myself and doing what I want. I don’t hate women, but I do love their absence.

Thinking about this further, where you said how you want to avoid making your son feel that you regret having him, this was also a concern in my situation. I would first advise that you never complain about the child support. And never put him in the middle of any discussion on who’s to pay for his needs. For example, my kids always come to me for new clothes, shoes, etc. and we go get it. Internally I’m screaming ‘Why doesn’t your mother pay for any of this from all the Child Support I’m paying…

Same situation as you, 16 y.o. son post-divorce. I am not pushing MGTOW on him yet, but I am living it and have explained why I am avoiding women in my life. I hope he’ll see that women are not necessary for a contented life (and actually prevent it). Hopefully once he experiences women’s shit firsthand, he’ll be receptive to hearing more about MGTOW. Until then, I think I’d come off as just a bitter old man.

Unemployed, overweight, single mother who smokes like a chimney? As a man, my immediate thought would be to quit smoking ( save big $$$), eat better/exercise, and look for work conducive to being a single parent. Obviously she’s quite content with her current condition.

I only married once, and not until I was 36. I believed her story of wanting to be a traditional stay at home mother, that she would run the home efficiently, everything I felt was optimal in raising kids. (This was how I was raised, and my folks are still happily married after 63 years.) I am convinced that I believed her because SHE believed it at the time. As I read elsewhere on here, they want what they don't have. And once they get it, they then want something else. This was a lesson that I…

Didn’t listen to much of this due to length and poor sound quality. Heard enough to remind me of when my brother found out he was getting a divorce. The sheriff pulled up with a restraining order stating that he had pushed his wife against a wall and said “You had better fear for your life”. He was given 15 minutes to grab some clothes and leave his 2 boys with his wife in the house. No evidence, no witnesses, no problem! To this day, his boys despise their mom.

If I were in your situation, I’d invite him out plinking with .22’s. Sitting on a tailgate while bouncing tin cans can be very cathartic, and you can provide both an ear to listen to his problems and give him the benefit of your experience. It certainly helped me when I went through it.

GREAT response! The one additional thought on this is that our culture does not just give females a “free pass”, it actually financially rewards them for doing so. (Divorce Rape) Add in the absence of shame of being divorced and you can expect no other outcome.

An ex-girlfriend once got a puppy when she had no logical reason to do so (money problems, living in an apartment, etc. ). I learned shortly after we broke up that she tired of it, took off his collar, and turned the dog into the Pound as a stray that she had found. Truly evil.

Regarding conservatives trying to ban legal prostitution, this very thing just occurred in the last election. A local church was able to get enough signatures to get a Proposition on the ballot to outlaw the legal brothels in our county. Their reason for attempting this was supposedly child trafficking, which was absurd as legal brothels are inspected on a regular basis. The Proposition lost by a roughly 80% to 20% ratio.

I went to 3 marriage counselors, one man and 2 women. Oddly enough the two women sided with me, only the male counselor sided with my ex, saying that I should quit my job and do more for her around the house. (I was the only one with a job) Needless to say I told him to pound sand.

Lately I've seen a couple of posts from women asking what MGTOW is about, why do we hate women, etc. This guy's post needs to be the sole response given.

I'm not sure who originally said this, but I took a screenshot from a post here from a couple weeks ago as it really hit home with me. "In solitude the wretched person feels his whole wretchedness and the great mind the full extent of it's greatness. In short, everyone becomes aware of himself as what he is."

Same here. Before the divorce my ex demanded that we buy a bigger house, so that she'd have more room to stash her crap. Told her no, as that'd only be treating the symptom. Now my house is very organized and tidy, while her rented home is again stacked with crap (per the kids). Maybe she needs to rent a bigger house?

The clutter in her apartment reflects the chaos in her life. Any guy who sees that in a woman’s house needs to run away fast.

My son is 16, but I have not pushed MGTOW on him... yet. Until he’s witnessed some of women’s shit first hand, I doubt if he’d be too receptive. He does see how I live my life post-divorce, so that will hopefully give him an idea that a woman is not required to live a contented life.

A key to being happy alone is to truly like who you are. Take a hard look at yourself and work on those aspects that can use improvement. Become the best version of you that you can be. Being envious is looking outside of your area of control. Focus on what you can control...yourself.

With my divorce, my now ex went to an attorney after we agreed to do it without. I basically threatened to go for full custody of our 2 kids due to her well documented mental health problems, if she insisted on going that route. She backed down immediately, divorce done in a few months for less than $1,000. I did go for a free consultation when I heard that she went to a lawyer. Great bit of advice he gave was to tempt her with a lump sum alimony settlement. He said that the evil of alimony is t…

My kids were 12 & 16 when I divorced. As stated above, don’t bad mouth their mother. It’s been 4 years now, and they clearly see her for what she is without any input from me. Awhile back I stayed up late talking with them, and they volunteered how they felt like they were almost the parent in their relationship with her. Concentrate on being the best man/father that you can be. And keep new women out of your life, neither you nor the kids need the chaos.

Great song/lyrics. It's a shame that the video didn't reflect his words. I envision a series of scenes showing hypergamy, single mothers, divorce rape, ugly feminists, etc. Models riding Harleys and driving Corvettes, coupled with Heather Graham dancing does not match the lyrics.

Great perspective! A major factor in whether one is in the top 20% financially is their age. Many of you posting in your early 20's really haven't had much of a chance to acquire job skills and experience that would result in higher paying jobs. I'm 57, and am in the prime earning years of my life. Thankfully my Child Support/Alimony will end in 20 months (but who's counting?). If you youngin's can keep from paying for a Divorce Rape in your future, you'll be well ahead.
