yes the risks are negligble. contraceptives exist. are you new? you dont have to have a baby every time you have sex which is a very contemporary development. you can have a condom, plan b, and abortion. in the past men had to earn sex by proving to be good providers, women had to filter men by this standard because children were so likely. now they dont, now they can filter by sex appeal because there are no risks associated with sex.

the risks are negligble, women can filter men on other qualities thanks to contraceptives they prefer like being tall and handsome as opposed to a good provider. very well studied phenomenon. men used to *have* to demonstrate that capability to be a father. now its chad or nothing for women because there are no risks for sex. Males of other species with similar arrangements have little issue living with that reality. can you give some examples? this seems like a gross misunderstanding and dare i…

it 100% means they are more prevalent because their behavior goes unpunished and uncorrected because it is filtered through their looks. Average looking and ugly people get shamed for their bad behavior more often and it is a scientific fact. Attractive people go underpunished and unpunished more often and so they get away with a lot of asshole behaviors because of it.

im not ignoring anyone. more attractive people get lighter punishment in courts and has been proven. They are less likely to be reprimanded for bad behavior because of the halo affect. What seperates awkward from creepy is how attractive you are. ergo, creepy behavior by a pretty person goes uncorrected because its interpreted as awkward or flirty as opposed to creepy.

good discussion, I think its touchy because people interpret a need as a right, therefore calling it a need means you are entitled to another person's body, which isnt where were going with this. I find the "a need is something you cant live without" argument reductive because its so cookie cutter. Safety isnt a need either, the real need would be not being killed. Just like food, you wont die without food, you die without nutrients which we can give through IV. You dont "need" lungs you "need" …

in a lot of cases it would be implicit/unknown to the individual, like who a lot of women have male validation issues but swear up and down that they don’t care about men. It has merit, but OP suggests that other men do care about other men's sex life when that is just not the case. Its more of trying to attack men's insecurities than a genuine observation. I would honestly say men would have female validation issues, so try to have sex with lots of women, and that wouldve been a good argument. …

Easy to say that when you're not in a social scenario where it's relevant. its easy to say regardless of the context. what kind of thinking is this? You realize socializing is not some weird hierarchy RPG game right? This feels like woman-centric social behavior being forced onto men. I have never actually had my virginity attacked or used against me in real life. it is exclusively an online phenomenon. How is MGTOW a net negative? It creates a safer community with less interruptions to our day from men. how is it creating a safer community? You do realize unmarried men are much more likely to be violent right? In fact most violent uprisings are preceded by men being unable to find work and love. Anecdotally, I approach women alot and 90% of them love being approached and talked to. Maybe sour redditors think this way? Its almost as if any large group are diverse in character and belief. Practically RP would be more diverse because it can incorpate any gender which women as a group cannot. with that being said, what you are doing here is listening to the loudest and most sour voices of RP and assuming literally every other RP person agrees, which is just the most 100iq hurdle I can imagine. I’ve existed long before RP and can tell you that’s BS. we all have I can only speak for myself because I’m not every woman. I am very direct. so you can paint "all red pill" but I cant paint "all women." Nor do you address the fact that not listening to what women say they want all the time is actually valid advice from RP

All of these “points” that RP tries to offer are fairly common-sense. they are fairly common-sense *because* of redpill. redpill changed that. If they actually want a partnership (which is questionable) they would value the opinions and thoughts of the people they might actually want to end up with Isnt there that thing between what women say they want and what they actually want? Like they print out a list of requirements and then not get with a guy that meets most or any of them?

“ even a quoted myth that we don't desire men or like sex” Maybe in the 50s or something? The conversation is completely on its head. Men are spending years and thousands of dollars to make themselves as sexually appealing to women as possible. “Looksmaxxing” and “they only want Chad (a sexy man stereotype)” like the pendulum has swung the complete opposite way. I dont think Gen Z were socially acclimated for dating, so people who have adverse life outcomes whom would have had dating success in previous generations because they were socialized, do not now. The problem is it’s not actually men as a whole it’s the sub set of the male population that women can’t stop fucking. So when she is ready for real dating the guy is rightfully pissed that she wants to play all the dating games just like every girl he’s met while all these girls got to have all the sex with the same set of men that she thinks he belongs to.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 02:16 AM

That cuts both ways, men are still drafted for wars because they are expected to fight for example. But I’m not here to compare struggles. Life was not wholly run by and for men. It was for a select few rulers who were men. In fact, the biggest threat to those rulers were men so no, it was not men as the arbiters of life, it was the ruling class that were mostly men, who specifically went after the average man because they posed the biggest threat to a rulers power.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 02:33 AM

None of the men alive today experienced or contributed to the male dominance that existed for thousands of years so to say “how does it feel now?” Is ridiculous, which male dominance is already a false idea because matriarchal societies did and do exist. But to say men were the default arbiters of life is just plain wrong and dare I say sexist anyways
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 01:08 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 07:52 PM

women will have a much better time dating the men who subscribe to the radical notion that women are people. you would in reality have a worse time dating because so many ordinary men check out and you are left with so few men who likely wont pick you because they are flush with options.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 07:49 PM

i think its funny you define men needing women's bodies as a need because its apparently sexist and entitled if i say sex is a need for men. But again, OP said, if you cared to read, that the "happiness" women feel alone is as fake as you seem to describe mens' alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/26 04:24 AM

it doesnt need to be a perfect imitation, just like the sources women use to be happy alone are not perfect imitations of men or what men provide. There are already men content using porn and toys. So how people regularly treat ugly/fat/old women? Not saying that men aren't turned down if they don't meet certain standards, but the same is true for women. not nearly to the same degree. Men have lower standards for women than women do for men. As a man, it is much harder to overcome those standards set by women than vice versa. /r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 12:24 AM

the evidence suggests it is only getting worse. Younger men are worse off romantically, less sex, less relationships. There is really too much information, you cant develop your own thoughts and feelings on issues or how to solve them. not to mention not all information is good. That's more of an observation of the internet in general.

hobby groups are dying. I can only really have so many hobbies. Even then, i have to hope my hobbies align with women and not 99% dudes. Even then, I have to hope those hobby spaces exist, which they rarely do. Even then, I have to hope the 10-20 people I see regularly contain available women, which they rarely do. Even then, I have to hope she is interested in me, which they never are. Its basically a meaningless pursuit.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 06:41 PM

I dont think it is a problem in it of itself. Im sure you know where im going, but i think it would hint at a deeper problem. Any woman worth any man's time would have already had sex. I dont include women virgins by virtue of a serious other issue in the count. By mid 20s, most virgin men have nothing inherently wrong with them. Most virgin women I would say do at that same age. So there is essentially no way to meet a virgin woman as a virgin man, not that a virgin man is desirable anyways to …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 06:10 PM

the point I am trying to make is that I think two virgins would make a lovelier and healthier relationship but virgin men are seen as undesirable whereas virgin women are the opposite. To the point where the virgin outnumber virgin men by mid 20s by I can only estimate 1:5 and women decide relationships or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 05:52 PM

I have no idea how you got to that conclusion
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 05:49 PM
1

Do you think alot of women share your standards?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 05:46 PM

I think the dynamic is low body count women are attractive and high body count men are attractive. Most virgin men do not have a choice of their partners, they have to be chosen. I would love a virgin myself but at my age that is rare.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 01:34 AM

Ive tried bars, they are a wash for me. out of say 100 people at a bar, 50 are women (it's ususally less by I digress). of that 50, 30 may be compatible (age, size) of that 30, 10 are there single, of that 10, maybe 5 are open to a relationship, of that 5, 1 is actually approachable (not cornered off with friends) and that one is usually unreceptive to me. I dont see that as viable.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 01:31 AM
8

Ive approached at most of those places and I get a serious cold shoulder from all of them. There's alot of social pressure at some of these places to conform. Like, people go to the gym to work out not look for dates. People go to the library to study quietly not chit chat. People go to the bar to hang out with friends not meet guys. Theres a numbers dynamic where the gender ratios are so out of whack at some of these places that its impossible.

I disagree most conversations about safety revolve around the man protecting her from others which is why height is such a heavily filtered trait. Why would a woman interested in protecting herself from her partner ensure she get's the biggest partner that would cause the most possible harm to her in a risky situation with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 02:49 AM

OP literally said he feels he will never have sex in his life and you paraphrase it as "sad because it’s hard to get laid" imagine if I called rape victims sad they had sex when they didn't want to since sex is such a low and meaningless thing apparently. 2

Good reply. I tried to be very open-minded and gender neutral in the OP but people immediately gendered this. I see demand from both sexes. It could make people more reasonable. "I better be more approachable or he'll go talk to that robot", but I doubt it. If general interactions are applied, most men only amount to favors or free therapy. And women amount to sex and intimacy. Which is why it's the last thing either wants to do for each other. I think it will ease a lot of tension people have. …

pregnancy causes substantial harm according to whom? this isnt a substantive claim. or do you not think having your vagina torn open or stomach and major organs sliced into, followed by weeks of internal bleeding, counts as injury? you are way too dramatic. All of your analogies use injuries which leads the reader to the conclusion that society helps people who are injured because of their own behavior. Society has obligations to me as is required by the social contract. Do you disagree? I'm not going to elaborate on anything else until you admit it, since you and OP seem to have issue with this sentence: It is society's obligation to make sure its people are taken care of.

OP established that it is inevitable, as in there is no prevention. What now? How should society take care of these people? Society cares for each individual as it is contracted to do. The poor, disabled, victimized, et al. What exactly is the plan for incels as they are likely to be?

Change it to want to satisfy women. Because you are wanting things I cant give you. alot of women want a lot of things. Women *want* money and *want* fame and *want* happiness or whatever, but I cant give that to you even if I wanted to. I also want things like to be a fighter pilot or a NBA star but thats simply not possible so I dont want them anymore, I move on and focus on other wants that are actually achieveable. Read the pos title: Can the mismatch between what women want and what men offer even theoretically be solved? To reconcile this either women need to change their wants, men need to change their offers, or something in between. The rest of his post just assumes the problem with the divide is men's offers and not women's wants. You cant for once think that maybe the expectations are wrong and not the person you put those expectations on?

yes it can theoretically be solved because anything is possible in theory. it will never be solved however. I personally hope it gets much worse. The framing of this post is wrong imo, why are men seen as the lynch pin of the divide? /r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 03:37 AM

its sad really. Incels are not a terrorist group but society badly wants a scape goat for all their woes. Persecution of the minority by the majority is a tale as old as time. the biggest victims of male violence are other males, not women. men are more likely to harm and be harmed by other men than women. There is solidarty globally against violence against women. it is taboo, they are not targetted as much, modern society heavily punishes violence especially against women, and men tend to attack other men not women.

Stastically speaking males are more of liability to females in just about every way possible. oof. do you hold addicts to the same standard? "Just quit fentantyl bro. its your own fault." The reason youre wrong is that society had collectively and correctly identified drugs as harmful and thus punish people who give them out. Porn was banned for much of american history.

I agree with everything you said. Maybe its down to you personally, but every woman I speak to says having a kid was the best thing in their life. Some have multiple. Women "biologically?" have a desire to nurture in a way a man doesn't. Men suck at caring for each other. It used to be one person (usually the man because of your aforementioned points about physical differences) worked, the other performed the very needed tasks of tending to the kids, cooking cleaning, running errands, and other …

For alot of us men, it is indeed a slave-feeling inclination towards sex. You can never turn it off, and you spend most of your life running from it. To say men have no self-control or agency just because they don't want to suffer from sexual desires is detestable. These men do not steal, rape, murder, speak ill, break things, etc. which are all far more indicative of self-control than saying you don't want to feel sexual desires. You can have excellent self control and still not want to have sex…

it makes a marginal difference. Instead of 100% failure rate it's 95%. male virginity and loneliness are increasing year over year. It's getty pretty high actually. And I dont think it's becoming men's choice whether they have sex or not. To reword, these newly minted virgin men are likely not virgin by choice. So the rate of involuntarily celibate men is increasing. In a purely definition sense, incels are increasing in population and already represent a large portion of it. If we speak of ideologically incel, that's less but I say is still growing every day.

I dont think that is a bad idea. I neglected to mention this facet that in some benelux country, maybe the netherlands, the government issued vouchers to disabled men that allowed them to have sex with the country's escorts (who operate legally) because being disabled does not mean you have no libido, and disabled is unattractive. This gave these men who we would call incels the chance to have sex who would otherwise not be able to on their own. I think that's a healthy way to view escorts and c…

This assumes the primary issue is sex alone, when that is not it. Like saying people's primary issue is money when it is in-fact what money gets them. "Sex" is just an act, sexual desire is more accurate for this. And even then it's split between intimacy and sexual desire which dont always work in tandem. I agree 100% and in this case escorts are likely the best option. I did mention if sex is your sole objective and can look past the morality of it then do it. But most men are not lookiing for caveman animal sex, most want emotional connection like myself.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/25 06:57 PM

It proposed an answer, not a solution. Sexual intimacy does not equal sex. You can have sex without it being intimate. You can have sex and still be left wanting something else. If I have sex with someone I don't want to have sex with, you cannot say my sexual desires were met.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/25 06:56 PM

Likewise, you saying something contradictory does not mean it's true either. And we are not speaking specifcally of sex alone. Value is not determined by what others are willing to "pay" for but by what it gives the owner in return of owning it. Value and markets are seperate. You are conflating "value" with "market value." value in economics is not determined by the market. Price is.

How does women not approaching men make them better at vetting men? This just makes men more capable of deceiving you because they understand it better. In fact this logic is backwards. The men approaching you have a non-zero chance of wanting to use you. The men not approaching you have a zero percent chance of wanting to use you (and a zero percent chance of using you)because they aren’t the ones approaching. If they did want to use you they would approach. You should actually be approaching m…

we’ve established it is causing problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 10:03 PM

I don’t understand how you can say “a man can be a misogynist and that’s ok if that doesn’t affect others” when that is the defining trait of a negative character is that it affects others. To your TLDR, yes the Manosphere has consequences for everyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 09:05 PM
2

I want to hear it. is it looksism? Yea I am seeing a lot of people giving invalidating and condenscending answers that are verbatim telling men to do better which was what I got ahead of in my OP but people insist on still saying its the answer. (spoiiler: it hasnt worked).
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 08:23 PM
5

I disagree, honestly. But back to the topic at hand - how do we get men to disengage with the Manosphere?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 06:30 PM
3

Did you read OP?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 06:24 PM
5

I’m the one asking what the alternative is. Did you read OP? We are currently at men engage with the Manosphere (which some view as a problem), the only advice ever given is that men need to do better, men continue to engage with the Manosphere, and then we have shocked pikachu face that telling men to do better ad Nauseum does not magically make them better and stop the Manosphere. So what is your solution that isn’t some reworded “men need to…” because we are definitely past that. It has not w…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 06:15 PM
-1

If you don’t believe men engaging with the Manosphere is a problem for all of us to solve you didn’t have to come into the post and regurgitate the same “men need to XYZ.”
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 06:12 PM
1

Are you saying you, as in women generally, will/should do those things or that men need to do those things?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 05:58 PM
6

So, if I am hearing you correctly, your advice is “men need to pick themselves up by their bootstraps?” That isn’t new advice and it will not change anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/25 05:54 PM

So you disagree with OP? Where he says it’s not an ideology and where he’s said it’s not a buzz word buzz word ideology?

So how are you meant to lose your virginity. Idk. You tell me. Acting like I haven’t spent the last half decade trying to solve that over here. If a woman wanted me by now I would not be a virgin. There isn’t any switch I can flip that changes that. It’s also funny because I have never told any woman I’m a virgin in my entire life. It’s just so odd from my perspective to assume there is a woman that wants to fuck me while also thinking her knowing I’m a virgin changes the calculations in any way…

Again, you are assuming the woman’s knowledge of me being a virgin is why I am a virgin. It is correlation not causation. There are intrinsic values I don’t have that cause me to be a virgin, not vice versa.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 10:09 AM

https://www.soocial.com/ceo-height-statistics/ "Height gives confidence" no people see taller people as authoritative and powerful. They are more well off in fights. Longer arms for sports and punching. It's just an advantageous trait to have overall. /r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 10:06 AM

Well no, and I have never dated anyone. It's really a filter. You can tell when a woman doesnt want to engage with you regardless of asking them on date. body language, positioning, eye contact, you know. When so many women do this to me I have to find a reason and this is the most plausible to me. And its also true. Dating apps in themselves are one of the few ways left to engage with women and it's exacerbating the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 09:59 AM

The world has wronged me. It's discrimination. Its an inalienable physical characteristic. Im mocked for, discriminated against, and lied to about my stature. but sure, stick your fingers in your ears, close your eyes, and go "Lalalala!" as each generation has more and more men wanting to hit people with their cars as you hope it goes away on its own. This subreddit wouldnt exist if there wasnt a problem maam im not sure if you've broken that 4th wall yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 09:47 AM

Well its not a binary system. To me it's impossible for someone to say height does not play any role in their decision making. At that point its a decision as to how much. If youre short that does not play in your favor, unless maybe a woman finds short men attractive? I base it off all my experiences. Online, Dating apps, talking to women.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/25 09:43 AM

Because it's like being back handed. Height doesn't; matter while im invisible to most of the dating market because of height. I cant not dwell on it.
