Ive had 2 microdisctomies at L5/S1- bulging disc/sciatica, C5/C6 fusion - bad herniation/left arm weakness, Left hip appendectomy- left leg tightness, MS eith right side lesions - entire left side deficit. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll start that after I'm done with my current book. I've been rediscovering my spirituality so the religious aspect may be good.

Makes sense on when quieting my mind in meditation I found sleep, otherwise Id be anxiously trying to find sleep. I think remembering those moments on bad days like the last three will be helpful also. Those all left me with a sense of fulfillment and joy. Thanks for the reality check.

Time and MS. That it will steal the very energy I've tapped into to find my confidence and compass. When my pain flares up bad, my energy levels are in the gutter along with my confidence. It brings that possible reality to right in front of my face. I can't change my diagnosis but I can change my mindset. And it's the mindset on my bad days that need work.

Thanks. I just bought the book and will start listening to it this week. Damn good advice in that post and on the other comment you made this week. They certainly mirror my actions and behaviors, the past and some of the present. Ive done things for them that they can do themselves out of the interest of time but mainly out of my need to control and stop any fighting before it starts. Which doesn’t teach them anything. The Father Forgets is wow, that hit home just like NMMNG did for me. Very eye…

Thoughts: I recommended a friend read NMMNG after he told me about his stuff going on, also to get his T checked, and get to the gym. Up till recently hot tub = sex, in my head at least. That good old covert contract. Now, I go in to relax and get relief, sometimes sex happens and sometimes it doesn’t, either way that wasn’t the reason I got in. I saved this post on Nuking your Nuclear family early on, when I didn’t even have the balls to do so. But after looking at her dead in the eye and showi…

I can 100% see it as frame battle. There were plenty of points in therapy that the old me would have DEER'd, instead I was able to calmly and firmly correct and enforce my position.

That's what I'm working towards, this not being an afterthought or even second nature, but normal. I've lived the majority of my life believing selfishness is bad and to do more, say yes. Each of these wins gets me closer towards that goal.

Thanks. The boundaries and self respect is a work in progress, I never had much of either. So instead of defining, respecting, and enforcing boundaries, I realize afterwards. I see that fruitless pattern now.

Agreed. I'm working on it, I take GLP1 shots for diabetes. Some days are harder than others to eat in surplus. Leg Press is up there because that was my main leg lift. I have multiple health issues that make squats difficult, however on my new lift plan, I'm focusing more on squats than press.

Thanks for that perspective. I know that if I continue with growing this dynamic I will need a solid frame or it wont work. It may not anyways if its something I determine I don't want in a SO. Thanks for the info, I'll be diving into those links. In the past being dominant in bed felt forced and unauthentic, more recently, I've had the confidence to be dominant which created a positive feedback loop. It's not that I don't like being dominant, in the past with my attempts I was faking it and confidence and deep down I knew it. I don't know if this dynamic is going to work for me long term or not. Thoughts: Hobbies took a back seat to everything else this past week. I haven’t been out in a couple weeks. Making plans to hang out this week. I used to cringe inside when people at work thanked me or gave me kudos. I always felt unworthy as if what I did wasn’t “that great”, big time imposter syndrome. This past week a few people thanked me and gave kudos for the things I am doing in my role. This time I thanked each person for their words and believed each statement. Of course now it seems st…

Freaking spot on. "I'll learn from this and promise to never do it again" was my thought pattern. The one you just presented attaches way more substance behind it, not just the "I did something bad and won't do it again", but the why and reasons. Bursting balls equals animalistic desire, its like the reward for not being beta. Thanks for this new thought pattern.

Thoughts: I got sick and was out for a bit. I had no energy to do anything. While probably not the direct cause, it was a reminder that I need to slow down. I still try to do so many things to make up for lost time and then I get reminders to slow like this one. I had a major beta slip the weekend my wife was out of town. I was feeling better but not 100%, Saturday night I got bored and horny, and for the first time since July, I watched porn. There was crazy high excitement in the beginning but…

Yes. Yes and that she was the only one that could. That mentality has changed. The anger spreadsheet was a tool to list and let go which has worked well for me. I'm working on both of those areas which have been improving. Yeah, cialis and actual desire have been helpful.

Well fuck, thats spot on, the comment and BSG post. My BSG told me everything in that post. It keeps me paralyzed to action, instead pondering and over thinking everything. Absolutely preys on my insecurities of navigating the unknown and the desire to do it right. In looking back, after my validation post, I turned into an unfeeling stone that wasn't taking action. I reasoned and masked it with "lack of desire" to her, when it was really "lack of desire" to improve myself. More and more unfucki…

The first time i read through it I skipped that BFA. I've since wrote down what I truly feel shameful about. I'm sharing this with a friend this week when we talk and have been reading up on coming to terms with it. But nothing is clicking yet, maybe once I get it off my chest things will click.

What Im doing : I went and slow read “Validation needs that can poison your sex life” and “Timeline: Escaping Sex for Validation, and Quitting Porn”, and then read them a few more times. The visual of my dick telling me to fuck off cause I needed feelz and goes into hiding was spot on. Then I made a list of all the reasons I sought validation and the covert contracts Iused to get it. Really understanding what a pathetic fuck I was, the reasons and what I’d do, it honestly killed my drive right th…

Yeah, I believed if she leaves then theres no one to validate me. I just made a disgusting list of reasons I use sex for validation and the covert contracts I used to get that sex. Very eye opening to see how I was held hostage by my own need/quest for that validation, which then became my sole mission and goal. Eye opening and angering.

I've got my appointment next week. And I've started WISNIFG again. I do in fact fail most shit tests. I thought I was passing them but realize now I used anger to "pass" them instead of having the solid frame to pass them. I realized after reading all the comments, I can't build my frame without first killing my need for validation.

Damn. That made me really stop and think "when was the last time she rubbed my back" and I do enjoy it. I never asked and i always made her back rub more important than mine because I needed the following sex for validation.

100% in her frame, and I thought I was out of it. I re-read the anger diagnostic post and just about everything still puts me in her frame. You're right, I can't even articulate what I want because I'm still trying to figure it out. 20 years of enmeshing with no sense of self is what I'm working to remove so that I can figure out what I want.

No. Admittedly I started all this work to get more sex. After realizing that, I changed my mentality to become a better me for me. She's made comments on my new muscles, but the things I've read indicate the "lead and she will follow" and not to be overt.

This came out of nowhere, although I may have had it earlier. Research still doesn't know exactly what causes it but agree's genetics and environment play a factor.

Relationship: Sex is still not where I want it to be. Overall besides the fun peaks, it’s mostly valleys. I need to stop tolerating bad sex and seeking sex for validation. Most of the time sex is the same old way, routine and quiet. Frequency is about 1-2/week. I used to have so many covert contracts of date night, going out = hot sex. I’ve since killed those and just try to enjoy myself. I know good sex is my job and I do struggle with seduction, giving tingles, and kino. I didn’t really do any…
