| 3 | Ok, going through it.I have to disagree about divorce in Texas being one of the better states to divorce in. Maybe if there are no kids involved, then yes. Otherwise, no. Texas is one of only 4 states that does not take the custodial parents income into account when figuring child support. So when I got divorced and she got custody of our 4 kids I had to pay 35% of my wages BEFORE taxes. Plus I still have to pay tax on it so it really ends up being closer to 40% - 43%.
