Can I please know how your lawyer dealt with this claim? I am in same boat. My STBXW is asking for 120k saying her family lent her that "during first month of marriage for marital expenses". Ironically our marriage lasted only 2 yrs. She has no bank records but a singed note from her parents.

Why did they took back your equal custody? This is bizare. Status quo can't be a reason for ignoring your earlier status quo. I do agree that family courts are set up to fund lawyers and entire divorce industry business. Judges help lawyers silently.

Don’t talk to maggot divorce lawyers . Most probably they will tell you that their state has men friendly laws. Rather, check research yourself about alimony and equitable distribution laws . Good that you don’t have kids .

I am in Same situation possibly she will drag it to trial. Would you mind sharing how much you spent and any tips to minimize?

Isn't it punishable by law if she interferes with your PT?

They always lie initially and say that they have done this.

Thanks for your answer. I did good research and found that she can ask for daycare expenses (on top of CS) and extracurricular activities expenses. This was kind of bummer. So decided to know more.

I thought same thing. Don't know about statement of net worth. But we have a different thing. She lied about paystubs and nothing happened. Courts don't have time to go over minute details. Nobody cares that much. Even if someone points out you can say that it is a inadvertent error. Coutts always look at bigger picture. Don't listen to lawyers. They are just bloodsuckers.

Collect all your belongings and papers and keep them in safe place and get out of the house today. Whatever you take now will be yours rest you may never get. Find a lawyer who can file for you tomorrow. Ask the lawyer how to get minimum CS if you have kids. Take care that she doesn't know this. Else she will make one fake call to cops and allege abuse and everything will be over for you in minute. Remember. Time is an essence. Don't give her weapon to harass you for LIFE. You can always change …

I am thinking this out of desperation because I don't know what will happen in future. She is already planning for different reasons to cut me out either implicitly or explicitly. What if the baby is 4 yr old and mom tells her that dad is not good then kid says that he doesn't want to be with dad? Source of your stats please...

Daughter is staying with ex wife currently since she is still breastfeeding. I am visiting few times a week. I thought once we move to court it may look negative for me if I don't contribute to child expenses now. Ex is still employed though.

Agree. Women get all the sympathy. Since they are also mothers, society thinks about them in good light. Men are good just for paying them alimony and CS. Nobody thinks that men have equal right to be with their children.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
