You're right. I'm 100% for men's rights but I don't want to see this sub turned into the male equivalent of some hateful group of feminists. It's very easy for internet groups to turn into echochambers, looking at the majority of subs on this place, so care should be taken not to turn into that. In the end, men and women should work together as a species, not antagonize each other like feminists like to do.

Apparently, the woman who first posted this met an aggressive driver on the road and he later tried to hit her car with his truck. She later told the cops about this experience and they said they would talk to him but they seemed dismissive. Even if all of this were true, a title like that is intentionally malicious, harmful and polarizing. How do you expect people to listen to you if you call men 'literally insane'?

They claim the naming refers to this sub specifically, but if there were a subreddit called "againstwomensrights" it would get banned for hate speech/misogin very quickly. Also plenty of strawman arguments to be found there. Jfc

I know I am doing something wrong, otherwise we wouldnt have this convo right now. I just dont know how Im gonna find out what the issue is. I dont feel like asking someone, since talking about this with other people makes me extremely uncomfortable and in general makes me feel bad about myself. I understand that that is another issue on its own but I cant just flip a switch and its magically gone. But I suppose I dont have much of a choice, right...?

I get what you're saying, but the thing is, I do build rapport and get to know them a bit before I ask them out. I also pay attention to my body language so I dont make myself look small or insecure. I dont get the idea that I come off as creepy or desperate or weird, based on the reactions people give me. Still, thanks for your reply, it was def worth the read

Usually I have some small talk beforehand or I kinda know them already. Most girls I ask out are in my uni

Career and health wise I'm just fine. I used to be cynical, but I got over that mindset eventually. Actually pretty glad that I did, a lot more stuff wasn't as bad as I initially interpreted. Nowadays I have a more realistic/positive outlike on things in general. The only thing on your list that may fit my situation js socialization issues. I am an introvert, and I don't plan on trying to be anything else that's not me. That's not to say I have little to no social life. I have a large social cir…

Alright I'll do that. For the most part it's escalating. I know that you should touch them. But I have no clue how to continue from that point. I dont wanna come off as some creep by touching her inappropiately, but on the other hand, if I do too little she may consider me boring.

She talked most of the time, we also shared some good laughs. I'm just so lost, everytime I think I got it figured out, a million other rules suddenly appear. How am I ever supposed to know all of that. And yes I know I sound desperate, but after living with this for years and trying to be better but still continuously fail, it's not very surprising. Im trying not to be, but it isnt some button I can press and suddenly it's all going well. But thanks for your suggestions

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
