Back to the fridge analogy OP mentioned in their post - OP is doing these things in the hopes that wifey will see it and get up and make him a damn sam'wich! Wifey could give two shits less about it. OP needs to do these things, AND get into that fridge and make himself the best damn sandwich ever, sit down and eat it right in front of her.

Have you read the info on the sidebar? Have you STFU'd? Have you lifted? Have you put her needs before yours? Has she always been this way even before marriage? Probably not. Why? Because things were new and exciting and now she has you locked down and things are no longer exciting. Put simply, you bore her.

There was an article I caught about something similar on Jezebel yesterday (I only clicked it because it caught my attention) - I wonder if this is the same post? I read that article and was like man, this guy should have been full on into TRP before trying and failing at forcing his wife into an open relationship. The whole thing hits a lot of the points TRP discusses. Kind of felt bad for the guy.

What works for me, is I shower and use unscented body wash (the blue Ivory), towel dry, wait about five minutes, which is brush my teeth and style hair. Then I do one spray on my chest aiming slightly upwards to catch my beard hair a bit. I finish getting dressed then in most cases I will just do one spray across the back of my neck. If I am going out then I will do one spray on the chest and then one on each side of my neck aiming behind the ears a bit. As far as how long does cologne last on y…

You can also try Armaf Le Parfait. It's like GIT with a splash of Aventus and a teensy bit of Viking all mixed together.

Nice post. The only thing I have an issue with is: " Start with one spray and see for how long you can smell it on yourself. If you can barely detect it within 30 minutes, then you can allow yourself to put some more" Just like everyone's unique body chemistry, everyone's olfactory fatique is different and different for different scents. Some fragrances actually seem to "dissapear" on the wearer within the first hour only to have them over apply and then stink up a room or suddenly come back ful…

This story just reminded me of an interaction with a former coworker. She had only been engaged for about 2 months to the guy she has been with for a long while. We were pretty chatty and would have some pretty good random conversations. I don't remember the exact conversation, but it was getting pretty flirty and I mentioned something about what would her fiancé think? Her reply. She looked me dead in the eye smirked and said " He's not going anywhere."

I don't know. I can remember a time when I used to go to pound town almost every day and still actively pursued my wife sexually. Now that I am much older, jerking off bores me more than I actually enjoy it, I'd much rather release my baby batter in a nice warm love cave. I have to go at least 3 days if not a week (or more) without sex before I cave and give myself some fireman time, even then I'd still be down to bang my wife.

Thanks for saying this. People don't realize you can be outgoing and still be introverted. I hate to be the one to throw this word around but there is a "spectrum" for intro/extroversion, I fall more into the introvert category (probably due to dealing with extreme hearing loss in my left ear since 3 years old) but some of my personality/quirks are more extrovert. If I have to do something extroverted that I am really more introverted about, it expends more of my mental energy. These are good sk…

Are you me? I never could put into words "the emotional capital expenditure" feeling but you fucking nailed it. You are right it is ASTRONOMICAL, words can't even describe it. OP if you see this I hope you understand the full weight of what we are trying to say. If you stay you will be in for a long and scarring emotional ride that really isn't worth it. If you just rip the band-aid of now you will be better for it. Edit: a word.

Commit to a morning routine. If you aren't going to the gym then wake up 10 minutes earlier than you want (so for you 5:50) get your coffee or tea going then spend 5 minutes doing some light cardio like running in place for 30 seconds then doing 25 jumping jacks or look up the Sun Salutation yoga routine and go through that a few times. Then do a quick 6-10 minute ab routine followed by however many push ups you can or want to do or do like 15 push ups, then your ab routine then another 15 push …

Points 2 and 3 remind me of a saying in the productivity-sphere called "Eating the Frog". Basically you tackle your biggest/most difficult task right away which will give you a feeling of accomplishment and put your day on easy mode. Good post. I have been getting up at 5:30 to hit the gym by 6:15, finish my workout by 7:15 then showered and off to work by 7:30. When I get to work I am ready to get after my day, it's an awesome feeling, pretty addictive actually.

If I want to play video games, I wake up early on the weekends (or a day off) and put an hour or two in then get on with the rest of my day. I actually quite enjoy this strategy better than trying to fight for video game time later in the day. I get better focus and more enjoyment from playing when there isn't a constant pressure to quit playing and let someone else (a.k.a my wife who doesn't want to watch video games but will watch some boring ass shit instead) use the t.v.

The more you do this, the easier it gets. Just five minutes ago my wife was rooting around in the kitchen getting frustrated about not being able to find an item she needed for the baking she is doing. Finally she hollered out if any of us has seen the item. I just said "Nope, sure haven't." and went back to my business. It occurred to me that 3 months ago I would be jumping up to help find said item, or have some serious anxiety about not helping. Now it's pretty easy to STFU and/or let her dea…

Funny, I was just thinking over STFU and what it all means. I was going to make a post about it, but since this is already here, I will just add my thoughts - Along with Acta Non Verba I would also suggest Don't speak unless it improves on the silence. We say STFU not because we wan't you to just roll over and take whatever bullshit argument or comments your wife is making. We say STFU because you are still learning how this is all supposed to work, and you can't effectively study if you are eng…

The nootropic Piracetam is also known to help curb addiction. I was using it through college for its cognitive and brain boosting effects and came to realize after dosing for about 10 days that my cigarette cravings completely vanished. When I did more research I found out that Piracetam is used to treat addiction. This is anecdotal of course, and your mileage may vary. I just figured I'd put it out there as an alternative for anyone with a healthy fear of prescriptions.

I'm sorry but I can't help but envision all (well, most) of you thinking; "Hey, I have a dead bedroom and a wife that treats me like shit now because I am all beta-fied. I'm going to join MRP and in a week stand in the center of my living room, pound on my chest and holler 'I AM ALPHA!' and then BAM! My wife will give me all the sex I want!" I had the standard one 7 years ago, it reconnected or wasn't done correctly and 5 years later my wife ended up pregnant. I went back to the Urologist ended up seeing a different doctor (because the one who originally did mine retired). Who recommended a 'bi-lateral' (I think it was) vasectomy which included some exploratory. This meant I would be put completely out and he would do an invasive surgery, which essentially meant I he was going to cut me open and pull my nuts out onto the operating t…

This may be slightly off topic, but this brings up something I had been wondering about for a while now. Is it just me or have any of you noticed that it seems like military wives/SOs are more willing to cheat than the prison wives/SOs? I'm sure cheating happens both places, it just seems like I (at least) hear more about it from the military side. Wonder why....

Even though this was posted in the wrong sub, a number of the answers are solid and pretty enlightening. After reading (and trying to make sense of,) your initial post, my first response was to tell you to wake up extra early, and then leave the house for the day without her, and do what you want to do. I am pretty sure it has been posted around MRP/RP before but the general advice is that you DO NOT GO TO THE GYM WITH YOUR SO. That being the case, since she already knew your plan of going to th…

Good stuff, a couple of things though. This may be semantics, but luck should be listed last. Skill, bullshit, then luck. You dealt with it correctly. I can't tell you the number of times I have had to take a kid away from the table / out to the car when they misbehave in public. I am going to deviate slightly here for just a moment since you are new parents and let you in a little secret that you may not realize yet. People out in public have either dealt with their own kids misbehaving or watched as another kid has misbehaved. The sooner you can laugh it off with both the kid and the public the easier it will be.…

I have had 2, yes, TWO vasectomies. The first one failed after 5 years (that was a mental fucking time, I tell you what) so the second one was an actual surgery where I was put completely out, and they pulled my nuts out onto the table and clipped an inch out of my vas before tying off. Edit: Just out of curiosity, what happens if you and your wife end up splitting? Are you willing to risk more kids from some manipulative future relationship, or even just an oopsies? I would go for the vasectomy…

Get a hotel, prepare for a long stay. Get your boundaries set up (no drinking, AA, etc.) and only agree to come back if she has put in at least a month of fixing her. If she doesn't agree, deliver the divorce papers (you already have had the lawyer draw those up in your favor right?). You may also want to get Evernote and start a detailed log of everything she has and is doing, it will strengthen your case should divorce be imminent.

I was actually working on a post similar to this. Mine was going to be that the first crucial baby step to take is to mentally eliminate the words "I'm sorry." from your vocabulary. It's not as easy as one may think, but it actively gives you a mental pause to re-evaluate your position and put the sidebar to use.

Glad to have helped. The trick is to find the balance and knowing the difference between a shit test, a loyalty test, and when you need to provide comfort so she doesn't think you are going to up and leave her.
/r/MarriedRedPill28/03/15 07:21 PM

A shit test would be something like her asking you to do simple and mundane things that she is perfectly capable of doing. Something like she is in the kitchen cooking dinner and you are 20 feet away in the living room and she asks you to get her a certain knife from the knifebox that is a meer 5 feet away from her. Or you tell her in advance that you have plans to do X on a certain day, and when the time comes she tries to pull all sorts of shit to keep you from going.

Good advice. This is one of the major reasons why I decided to tone down my participation here. As good as most of the advice here is and as much of a 'community' of married men sharing their troubles and offering support that I see this place as, I decided that I had to start living my life for me and be present more than trying to live vicariously through others MRP/TRP.It seems the longer you stay around here the less you pay attention to living your own life. Moderation and all that.

I'm sorry. But I had to stop reading 4 sentences in, I am not sure if this is a troll post, or this is your first experience with a pregnancy or what. BUT DUDE, DON'T RUN HARDCORE RP WHEN YOUR WIFE IS PREGNANT. Seriously, your wife is a hormonal rage -a-sarous that is uncomfortable 24/7 and worried about all the changes her body is going through and whether she can survive birth and if she will be a good mom and, this is important; HAVE HER MAN STANDING BESIDE HER THROUGH IT ALL. It took a good 9months to a year after my wife had our last kid before she started warming back up sexually. I used that time to work on myself and study the rules of the Red Pill game. It was frustrating and disheartening at times but it got better. You need to remember that each pregnancy a woman goes through is different than the other(s). Has she been assessed for post partum depression or hormonal imbalances?

Can't up vote this enough. Pretty much nailed it. OP if you want to play games then what you do is take care of your responsibilities and own your shit from 8am until 11:30pm when you go to bed and fuck your wife caveman style. Wake your ass up 2 hours before everyone else to play your games.

I am on my phone and slightly distracted but here are some quick thoughts; Don't speak unless it improves the silence ( or your position, etc.) Things like agree and amplify, dread, amused mastery are moves in a strategic game. If you don't understand the rules of the game, don't make the move. Watch (or better yet read) Fight Club. Find one thing at least 3 times a week that is outside of your comfort zone and do them. Try to create an awkward silence, and be comfortable in it (one of my favori…

No one wakes up one day and puts on their big boy captain pants and just becomes captain. He shared the material with his wife, obviously he was reading it to better his marriage so why would a beta not 'share'? (not trying to point fingers, just trying to make a point). So yes of course his wife, wanting to save the marriage gets on board with it and asks. But as it was said ; Men DO, women talk. It takes a while to get to doing, there is no autopilot on hard mode.

When you want sex from your wife or LTR, you come on strong and push through last minute resistance and she either complies and gives you sex or gives you a 'hard no'. The hard no is when you stop trying and go about your day like nothing happened instead of getting angry or moping around all day.
/r/MarriedRedPill04/01/15 11:33 PM

If you are new to this whole Red Pill concept then don't even mention it, not once. You are still "beta" and your wife smells it all over you. Once you have read the material, internalized the strategies, practiced, see it in action (and know it's working) and are constantly knocking shit tests out of the park while maintaining frame. Then you are ready. Then again if it's all working and your wife is happy with you and the relationship, is it even worth bringing up? I think that the big point t…

That was an interesting read. I was never fully on board with the captain / first officer dynamic. I always saw it as more of a metaphor or analogy for the man to grasp and internalize, not share it with his wife or LTR, for some reason I had this slight scratching in the back of my head that if I shared this idea / concept / framework with my wife then I would lose any power it gave me. I kind of thought of it like how the idea of Rome is described by Marcus Aurelius in Gladiator : There was on…

True. I always looked at non-nuclear dread in that context. It's all how it's framed, if one frames it as, "I am confident and own my shit, so I am going to flirt because I can." then it's more successful than "Oh look, I am pissed at her so I am going to go flirt to piss her off right back." However, by the same token, if your wife isn't seeing you with any value, showing her that other women see you with value may make her re-evaluate. The guy has to know what he is doing when it comes to drea…

I didn't get through all the comments, and this may be a controversial comment but here it goes. You say you are devout / good Christians so I assume you go to church. Aren't there any divorcées or single moms at your church you can pull some soft dread with? That is probably your best option if you really want to go the dread route. Edit: Just in case this gets misconstrued, what I meant was if your wife sees other women showing interest in you it may get her hamster going that she can be repla…

Nice, glad to help out. I have some 'data' from when I was tracking it on my calendar. I didn't really tick off if it was right or wrong. The way I see it, sometimes, if you want to make an omellete you gotta break some eggs. The thing is, being selective with what and when you share things with your wife. She is in it for the long haul and needs to know you are an emotional creature from time to time. You can tell her that you plan to work on yourself to better the relationship and that she may have to deal with some changes, but don't go into specifics about books or methodology. Then after she starts to see the changes, if need…

There is an android app called 'clue' that tracks menstrual cycles. I do not know if there is an iOS counterpart. I just plugged in the menses cycle stuff into my google calendar with different color codes for each part of the cycle. It wasn't to hard to do, it wasn't exactly 100% accurate, but it close enough that I had some heads up, which is better than an unexpected head's out! Hah hah! I'll see myself out.

Thanks. I will make sure to pay extra close attention to that section of NNMG. Just to be clear, I wouldn't exactly say I had an 'abusive' upbringing. However the way I was raised really did me no favors transitioning into adulthood. I was an only child that was spoiled and doted on (even after the remarriage) then my mom remarried when I was 9 to a guy who had 4 daughters that were all younger than me. First thing is to stop the perceived need to go to bed together. When you are tired from your day kiss your wife and tell her goodnight and that you are going to bed and that you expect her to have your lunch packed for the morning. If you feel especially frisky tell her you are going to fuck her silly when she comes to bed. You HAVE TO go through with the attempt and I mean full on 'I'm taking you like the caveman I am' press. How long have you been married? How long have you been without the red pill philosophy? See the thing is, it's behavior modification. These things take time. If your wife is used to controlling you with sex and you are all of a sudden not responding to this she doesn't know what is going on, so she starts grasping to get the control back. If you finally take the reigns from your wife and show her that you can steer the sleigh, she will get it and happily sit beside you and go along for the ride,…

You should not deny her sex if she initiates as a form of punishment. I don't have the source for this on hand, but it has been shown to have some profound psychological effects on her. Right. That was my point. The stuff here only works if 'YOU' get off your ass and apply it. Like it has been said before; "This is a marathon, not s race." You gotta start by applying the knowledge here and make your own action, even if it's something small at first.

I saw this last night as well, and like you this post for whatever reason got to me. Yes, I know it is hard right now. Start with small things, agree and amplify, it will take time. It's kind of like exercising a muscle in a way. Big fucking woopy doo about the t.v. in the bedroom. Here are some thoughts; Starfish or not, take her to pound town. If you have to hook her legs above your elbows and push her knees to her ears, then DO IT. Try conjuring up your inner caveman and dominantly telling her how you want her. As long as you initiate, you can turn her down. I wouldn't use this tactic all the time, but I would also suggest you can be OI about it even if that means for the entire day/weekend/weekend motel bender/etc. Under no circumstances turn her down if she initiates.

Sex rank in marriage works differently than in single life. You are forgetting that there are a lot of men out there that find nothing more attractive than a pregnant woman. Alternately, there are a lot of women out there that find men committed to a pregnant woman sexy as hell (silly lizard brains). It took about a full on year before the sex life swung back to normal after my wife's last pregnancy and subsequent birthing of our now 17 month old. We did have sex, it wasn't really "bad" sex, and it wasn't really "My jaw is going to be stuck in the oh my god position for a day!" type of sex. One-Itus is different in marriage, but isn't necessarily encouraged depending on how you define it. To say "men are murdered more often!" is to fail to ask the question of why they are killed. If there were no disparity between men and women socially -- if nobody felt like women were fragil…

Nice. I decided that I am just not in the mood to engage anyone in this right now, especially on the internet. Unfortunately since I clicked the link my friend posted of this in Facebook, I am now getting all sorts of shitty articles bubbling up to the top of my news feed. One was a share of an article from some site called newstatesman , the authors call tag was "pop culture, politics, feminism" , I didn't even read the article, just closed the tab.

Yeah, after reading that article, I thought about replying to the Facebook post and ask if he felt the same way about men as the author of the article did. But I remembered that most people aren't ready to be unplugged and will fight to not be.... Although, I just had an idea to reply my friends post with "Are you a feminist? Do you hate men as much as the article's author?" Just to see how he replies. I won't though.

This article here actually mentions TRP by name. Someone posted it to my FB feed last night and I read it. Pretty sure the author missed the mark. I immediately started thinking, that the author misunderstood the underlying fundamentals of TRP ( BTW, he seems to be lumping TRP in with PUA / PUAHATE, etc ), although I can understand how he may see this sub if he doesn't spend enough time here, it does tend to come off as he describes. Sorry if this was already posted somewhere else, I thought it …

I am chiming in on this because I feel it is important. When my wife was pregnant with child number 4, I got a vasectomy. The procedure itself wasn't that bad, some discomfort, went home, used frozen peas on my junk for 3 days and went on with life. Afterwards, I had a LOT of discomfort on my right side and up into my abdomen from time to time, I also would get a really bad gassy feeling after sex off and on for the first year or so after my operation. 5 years later, my wife ends up pregnant aga…

Yeah I do agree that the pendulum tends to swing pretty far one way around here. However there are some valid points if you can see past it all.

Good advice. Although I never claimed TRP has worked for me. I am pretty new around here and basically wish I would have known some of this stuff growing up instead of being fed all the "beta-wisdom" .

I was "going out" with girls as early as 4th grade. Granted those lasted about 2 weeks each and only amounted to holding hands sometimes at recess. But yeah, looking back, that was all pretty damn messy.

Yeah, I agree. Looking over my original post I can see how I may have come across as "I want my 12 year old to be the biggest player on the playground and bang the girlz!" which wasn't so much the case as it was helping him understand how to REALLY behave around girls/women and how the dynamic really works so he doesn't get sucked into any stupid and unnecessary drama and BS. (I am adding this as an edit to my original post, thanks for pointing it out).

Thanks for the replies! I think a lot of what I already was thinking has been echoed; Being a role model. Always ensure to take care of your wants / desires before the females. Explain that women and men are different. Start to notice when a woman's words don't match her actions and call her out on it. That seems like a good start, keep the suggestions coming in!

Awesome read! Thanks for sharing. Last time I was at the Magic Kingdom in Florida, we had done the whole park by lunch time and ended up just going back and hitting up the rides we enjoyed the first time through. It was just my dad and I, no kids ( or even thoughts of having them ) to manage.

Was it? I was posting from my phone and scrolled through what seemed to be about 5 pages or so before posting and didn't see it. I also wasn't able to to add flair from my phone ( from what I could tell ) , and even today I am not sure if it is more of an example of blue pill or red pill. I think I am going with Red Pill Theory since it does deal with women respecting men.

Good tips. I have a question though, you say not to lean in but what about someone like me who has significant hearing loss on one side (in my case my left ear)? Do you keep the shoulders square and lean in more from your hips instead of bending from your neck/shoulders?

He can't see the situation for what it is. I bet if he was on the outside of a similar "relationship" looking in he would see things differently. Or it will take him watching this girl rip his heart out and take a big bite out of it while it is still beating for him to come around. By the time that happens he may have no friends to fall back on, some of the best lessons are the hardest learned.

How did this guy ruin her life exactly? Didn't she say in the xojane article that she found sex work very fulfilling? If that's the case then she shouldn't feel like her life is ruined because people found out she is doing what she loves, right? I know, her hamster has gone full tilt, but still.

I am pretty new here myself but I remember reading a post that talked about how you compliment in a certain way, "I like how you did your nails." Instead of "I like your nails." It's a subtle difference and I can't fully remember the reasoning at the moment, but if you need to compliment to get a conversation started, I would do it like that.
