I think it goes without saying that behaviour in bed depends on the woman. For example I’m very dominant, and I wouldn’t have much fun if a guy insisted on doing this stuff in bed.

It sounds like you don't know her very well, so it's none of your business. This is equal to asking "how jealous should I be?". It comes off as insecure.

You have total freedom to either listen to or ignore me; I'm not claiming to know all women. I'm just saying that I have personally rejected 100% of the guys that can't speak proper English (text or otherwise), and all of my girl friends do the same. The guy either seems like an idiot (turn off; I deserve better than that) or like he doesn't care (turn off; I deserve better than that). The only way I see this working is if the ladies decide you're an idiot, judge you as weak (and therefore not t…

So as a lady, I notice that you've turned off the auto-capitalization on your phone for a reason (and you also fail to use proper grammar). Explain to me why going to this EXTRA effort (to look stupid, mind you) is going to indicate to me that you "don't care" and are therefore alpha? To me you come across as either slack-jawed or pitiful.

I agree with your point but for different reasons. Personally, I am more attracted to guys that are 6-7 because I find that the prettier a guy is, the more feminine he seems to me. Not that feminine guys are bad, I'm just not as attracted to them.

Honestly, it's less important to be physically attractive as a man than it is to be a woman. The way you act and dress can drastically change women's opinion of you. A guy who is physically a 4-5 can step up to an 8 to me if he dresses well, is disciplined, and makes me feel comfortable. A guy who is a 8 can fall to a 4 if he acts like an idiot and can't handle himself.

As a lady, I hate being called beautiful by anyone I don't know very well. It just comes across to me like you're looking for easy brownie points. Seems like you expect me to have low self esteem (like I've never been called beautiful/cute before, and I don't believe I'm attractive) and that the moment you compliment me, I'll throw myself at you. ANYONE can call me beautiful. Who are YOU? Why should I give you any more credit than the crack addict down the street who stands in his driveway calli…

Not sure about those labels, but I can find out if a man is the one I desire by methods that are less manipulative.

I mean, take what I say with a grain of salt. I think I have a decent idea about my demographic, but of course I'm only one person, and there are probably many exceptions. I can't discuss anything about women in general without making a bit of a leap outside of my zone of experience.

Not at all. We're saying it's an important line you draw between a girl teasing you and a girl disrespecting you. Really, it's for you as an individual to draw that line. First thing I would think about punishment is confronting someone about their disrespect. Let them know they can't get away with stuff like that around you.

I'm Canadian, actually. What I was trying to do with this post was redefine "nice guy". Yes, I am familiar with the "nice guy" who uses niceness as a token, but I argue that this is not an actual NICE guy, but a harmless guy. And women destroy harmless guys, generally. I'm not trying to say that women won't resist if you do X. However, I would argue that if you aim to be what I call a nice guy (a man that is truly nice without compromising his dominance), an experienced woman will know, and she'…

I think you're absolutely right in that everyone filters. Of course. It's not only women who do the selecting. However, in terms of dating and sex, you have to consider the sheer abundance women live in compared to men. We can both take a position of power in a relationship and do the choosing, but I think women have a much larger pool of willing men to choose from than vice versa, which does a lot for the imbalance of power overall. These are just my presumptions, and I could be wrong.

This exactly.

Hm. I can't speak for other women my age, but with this post I was hoping to communicate that at least one of us ladies likes real nice guys. Of course we want dominant and aggressive men, but dominance/aggression and being "nice" are not mutually exclusive. I think it's a fine line. I guess I just wanted to say that yes, women want dominance/aggression, but this doesn't mean they want guys that treat them like shit, like a lot of people believe.

Personally, I believe in treating the opposite sex with greater sensitivity and respect. This subreddit alone is proof that men and women don't immediately understand one another, and it takes a bit of thought and investigation to do so. So I think by treating the opposite sex a bit gentler than your own, you create a buffer that softens the divide set by a lack of understanding. Kind of like, I don't understand you and your motivations entirely, but I care about you, so I will give you the bene…

I (22F) think you should just say it anyway. Depending on your priorities, of course. You are inexperienced; if you do something she doesn't like, saying this is you inviting her to help you do what she does like. If she doesn't want to communicate, she's a shitty lover, and you're probably better off gaining experience with someone who will help you learn. But if your goal in the moment is just to bang, I suppose don't tell her you're inexperienced. It's just too bad some girls are like that an…

I think the distinction is stuff like dominance attracts women right out of the gate, but understanding is what makes the attraction last.
/r/seduction27/08/17 06:49 PM

For what it's worth, as a 22F, I believe you are completely correct. Things you mention like dominance and and confidence catch my attention in a guy, but if he doesn't understand me, I lose interest pretty quickly.

Just my (F22) two cents, but if you were to ask her "hey let's go to X together", it takes a fair amount of naïveté for a girl to not at the very least suspect you mean it to be a date. So by agreeing to go, she is on some level agreeing to the possibility of a date. By turning around and saying "oh I thought we were going as friends", she probably just changed her mind and decided she doesn't like you that way. So by playing dumb and claiming to think it was a 'friends' thing, she dodges the re…

I'm very curious, could you explain your last paragraph? In particular, the destruction of the family and its replacement with the state?

Debatable. Fat doesn't necessarily imply laziness. I know a guy who's got a pretty appreciable gut, but he can do things. He hunts large game, built his own canoe kanoe, can fix anything, etc. (He's also pretty stoic and modest) And he's the manliest most high value man I personally know. This is just my opinion, but a REAL manly man can DO things. Make things. He doesn't need to be a model for that. It's about being able to offer something aside from just looks.

I (F) really like it when guys are big/chubby. However! This is aesthetic. I do NOT like that guys who are big/chubby are big/chubby because they don't take care of themselves and are out-of-shape enough that they can't chase me naked around the house because they'll have a heart attack if they try. I am fine if a guy is fat and healthy (can keep up with me), not so ok if he's fat and unhealthy.

If you're willing to have a fair discussion about your outlandish views, then there is nothing wrong with that. It's on other people if they just can't handle hearing things they don't like. In my opinion, this makes you interesting and will help you attract interesting girls.

Also girls "in general" are not the same as bar/club girls, which is a typical location for pickup.

The style this guy describes is too boyish for me, personally. I like it when a guy either dresses like a "proper" man (with attention to detail and classic style), or a guy that just dresses in a way that says he doesn't care about style. The former speaks of maturity and class, while the latter speaks of a lifestyle too busy with real man's work to care about honestly superficial things like style. Just my two cents

Wouldnt this also be true for girls? You're not going to think a girl with messy greasy hair and frumpy-dump clothes is as hot as a girl that is well put together

If she likes you, you won't have to remind her you're still there. Guys texting and checking up all the time starts to feel claustrophobic real quick.
/r/seduction31/03/17 03:29 PM

True. I cannot even say I'm that experienced, and I have learned to see all the moves a guy typically makes when he's interested. But that's ok. The only real consequence of this is that it means more when a guy does something unique to get my attention rather than the same old.

Yeah, admitting nervousness can help. Though I think it would help the nervous one the most, since in this sort of circumstance, I think a lot of ladies would already easily sense that the guy is nervous. Would it throw a guy off if I told him that I know he's nervous and it's ok? Or would drawing attention to it make it worse?

In the way that I described, ya. You make it obvious that you're just inventing a reason to touch her. To be fair, this is just my opinion, my experience. Might not work with everybody.

I (21F) wouldn't have expected you to do anything other than what you did in those moments. You were caught off guard. That's aight. As long as you successfully notice something like this, you can plan the next step (you don't need to react the moment you get a signal). A good beginner's move is to just think of a reason to talk about/ look at your hands. Example: "man, that DJ is quick with his hands. Not me, would be too busy feeling self conscious about how rough mine are. See?" Show her your…

As a woman, I agree with this piece of advice. If a guy goes in for a kiss that I'm not expecting, I might turn away just because it took me by surprise, even if I'm into it. Though I don't see anything wrong with apologizing. The main thing is not being torn up that I turned away, because it's often not anything you did wrong, I just wasn't in the right mindset yet.

Ah I should have mentioned that I KNOW him through work, but I don't work with him. Thank you for your response though! But yeah I recognize that me trying to be subtle is probably not picked up by anyone. Haha maybe I'm just chicken, but I more expect this stuff to prime guys into positively receiving more straightforward approaches. Though I'm not sure what could be more straightforward than footsie! Haha ok. I don't really go for alphas. They tend to be a bit entitled if you ask me. Not sure if I would say this guy is shy and awkward per se, but I wouldn't call him conventionally attractive. I am a certifiable chubby chaser -- love lotsa man. Personally, I'm a late bloomer on the sex and dating scene and I have to admit he stood out to me because he struck me as sexually inexperienced; I'm trying to explore people with a similar level of experience as I.

I personally think her mind is made up, and her opinion of you as a potential romantic partner has been coloured. Kind of like you spilled the soup on the floor -- there's no 5 second rule for that. Conversely, there's no harm in trying. If she was super keen on another date, then maybe her mind can be changed with some finesse. Though, chances are slim and you should consider other options, unfortunately.

Thanks for your response! Not sure if it changes anything, but I am 21F :) Still trying to figure things out, but what I'm thinking is that if I treat things casually, but just act normally and do the things that feel right at the time (holding hands, etc.), the danger is that the other party might catch feelings and want a more serious relationship? In this situation, I would say I'm not looking for anything serious. However, I don't anticipate this will change anything. I would try to be there…

I went on a date with a hot guy I met online. Now, I don't claim to be the most interesting girl in the world, but I like a variety of things. I try talking to this guy about any of my interests: science, psychology, media, television, movies, fantasy, sci fi, language, literature etc. But no, this guy only likes anime. He gave up trying to connect halfway through the date because I didn't know anything about anime and couldn't have a discussion about anime.

Being a girl in university, I do it now and then, and I do it because I like to play. And if I like you, i probably want to play with you. This is play fighting. If they are like me, these girls probably want to see if you'll play with them. Maybe it's to figure out what kind of person you are. Maybe they'll change gears when they realize you're not playful and just get back to normal. Otherwise they may decide they don't want that level of friendship/relationship with someone that doesn't play …

I have always thought that girls (at large) don't seek out hobbies or intense pursuits because it's not in our culture for women to be active in that way. Ie they would not be considered as ladylike/ attractive. For example the generalization that women in science are less desirable because having an intense "masculine" career is intimidating to the average guy because she is more likely to make more money and be more intelligent. Just some thought. Neither here nor there
