Every good warrior eventually gets blood on their sword. Your roommate is somehow able to pull, but also an utter dumbass. Period sex ain't bad, just toss a towel down. Or earn your wings and go down, although doing that to some rando is a pretty bad idea. Tastes like iron.

Everyone starts somewhere mate. Gyms here just recently reopened so needless to say, I've atrophied a bit, but better to get back in now. Follow whatever plan is provided, but also treat the first time you do that lift in the program as a benchmark run: Start with the empty bar, and do 5 reps of a given lift. Form is important, so make sure to pay attention to this. Better to lift light and right than not and... well, snap city. Easy? Add 5 lbs, or 10 lbs if it was really easy. Values above are …

You know in your mind this relationship is circling the drain, if not already down. Things get worse the longer you stay in this situation. As everyone else has said though, you need to work on yourself and fix your own headspace. Your daughter will certainly understand mom and dad needing to live in separate places.

The interview generally has questions for you. But turn the table and ask questions about the workplace, how an average day might look with your new team, etc. But otherwise, if you can get into the interview phase of a job, you can certainly close the deal if you play your cards right. I'll close an interview for a job getting near six figures in a low cost of living area sooner or later.

Sure, but also for the love of god if anyone takes this advice seriously, most jurisdictions have pretty steep penalties for having a firearm in a bar, and if that gun gets involved at all you'll want a lawyer regardless anyways.

Honestly there's a tax advantage to it and I'm in a lower tax bracket (12% for the highest bracket vs 22%). We also bring in about 80K/yr anyways in a low CoL area, and for the kid we just had, it's more money back to us. I guess some simpler legal conundrums too, the annoying aunt on my wife's side of the family can't try to claim my kid as her own. I say this because that batshittery happened once, so let's not allow a repeat. Pretty sure most of the family has already disavowed her for that o…

Simple method to benchmark this yourself as everyone's fitness situation is different: For any given barbell exercise, start with just the empty bar and do a set of 5 of a given exercise. If it's easy, add 10-20 pounds depending on the lift and put another set in, else add 5-10 if you picked up on some difficulty but your form/speed hasn't otherwise been compromised. Repeat this until your form either starts faltering or the speed of the sets is a lot lower than prior sets; treat that set as you…

Not in CA there ain't. There are zero close-in-age exemptions in CA state law. CA is an 18 to ride state, no exceptions. Whether or not a prosecutor might try the case is another question entirely, but that's not a gamble that's worth it.

Generally it's 45lb/20.4kg unless specified otherwise. "X plates" would be X plates on each side of the bar. Two plates would be the bar (45) plus two plates on each side (45x4), or 225lb/102kg.

Precum can get someone pregnant by the way. It's not exactly a high chance, but if she's in her fertile part of her cycle and there are swimmers in there, well, three guesses how that plays out. OP, this means using a condom if you're going anywhere near a vagina. Of course, if you did the reading, you know full well your gut instinct is probably correct, and it's probably not a good idea to fuck her.

Well, your max will drop for a week or two while your body tries to regenerate lost hemoglobin. As for plasma, given you're donating proteins, nutrients, etc, you will find yourself operating suboptimally if you donate weekly, for instance. Your maxes will be affected, but you can still otherwise work out. It takes two weeks for your body to really replace those. Your performance will be lower, and you will recover more slowly.

Website yes, with their own app. Not trying to advertise it blatantly, but www.meetup.com basically serves as a hub for people to form groups and do things together. All the groups people form run the gamut from dance, sport, etc to tech groups, tabletop gaming, etc. Something for pretty much everyone really. I've dated from both ends of the spectrum I mentioned above, for what it's worth. Dance groups tend to be a bit more women-dominated, but that's okay as well, just go in willing to learn an…

Got a hobby? There's probably a local group on meetup that you can easily hang out with. It's a bit of a shot, but look into an events/adventures group. Cheesy advertising on the radio aside, there are a lot of singles there, and in my experience women tend to be a bit more reasonable on that front. Being alone isn't a way to live.

Funny thing is, appealing this might result in his sentence being increased. Appeals can actually increase a sentence, as that is stating that you believe either the case was mishandled, or you disagree with the verdict/sentence, usually with a reason provided. Oscar Pistorius had his increased because the appeals court thought he really was horribly under-sentenced. There are holdings in the US courts that increasing a sentence is allowed as well. The only issue I personally have with starting a lifting program again is that I might not have the energy to do both a lifting program AND train for a marathon. Recently finished a half marathon in 2'01". Still have a solid 6 months of training before my first marathon in January. Is there a way to balance these out cleanly?

In most of the US, that's pretty much how it's supposed to be handled as well. Anything you bring into a marriage is yours and does not go to the other party if a divorce occurs. Granted there's some bullshit judges who'll forget that fact because "fuck you that's why", but that's slowly starting to change

As far as your financial house is in order, you're fine on that front. So the other question is what the jump is worth relative to your spending power. If you have to move to jump to a big 4 tech firm, does the cost of living change mean you're making relatively the same. If you're making your current pay in the midwest, that pay jump won't really go much further if you have to move all the way out west. The jump is definitely more impressive on your resume though. On the other hand, better the …

Prenuptial agreements do not work in respect to child care. Those clauses in an agreement are either absolutely null and void, or (depending on the judge) grounds to void the entire agreement. Prenuptial agreements only work if they're written fairly and equitably, and pretty much for handling property division only.

Real talk, I'm not exactly sure how one can bankroll $20K in three months after expenses unless you're an investment banker. I work in software development and do some freelance work on the side (55-60 hours a week total), and won't even save that in a year because of living expenses. Might have to see if the coastal cities can roll that much.

True. My local Y has a sauna and steam room though, which is good for meditating. It's nice to be with only your thoughts and the heat. If I ever get around to buying a house when I get the funds, I am interested in building or buying a power rack, bar, and some weights.

Protip for those with young kids: Look into your local YMCA (now rebranded The Y) as an option for lifting. Most have a childcare program that can supervise your kid while you lift. There is definitely very few good excuses for not lifting. Obviously if your doctor orders you not to for X weeks, don't fucking lift for X weeks, but otherwise, most excuses are just bad.

TRP is amoral though. You can have your own morals and code on this. I'm not firmly in the "no marriage whatsoever" camp like most of TRP as an example, but I'm also not preaching mine as being better or worse either. From a sexual strategy standpoint, he has nothing to lose by going for it. He knows that if she puts out she's a cheater anyways, and she pretty much should only be a plate at most.

The thing about this case you're missing is that the idiot father here went through Craigslist. There was already a clear and established legal process that the three could have gone through to donate sperm while being legally protected from child support, it wouldn't have cost much more to begin with either. They didn't do that, so the state thinks he knocked her up and should be liable for support owed. At least the judge here has some common sense and ruling in his favor. Time will tell if it…

No joke, conventions are easy grounds for some crazy lays. Most recent one I went to had a late-night bondage panel, walked in and it turned to some girl getting tied up and paddled by some fat balding dude in his 40s. And she babysits for him. Apparently he owns the local kink dungeon and he does this as a hobby. The after-parties after the main events are ridiculous. Tons of stories from these that I'd have to recall later.

Which is nowhere near as effective as birth control options women have, given that they have an effective rate of 98% if used perfectly, and 82% per year given typical usage. Doesn't exclude mishaps like breakage either. Couples that use a condom only will find upwards of 18% of them getting pregnant within that year.

AWALT. No, it's not extreme, it's pragmatic to have that suspicion. I'd rather be overly cautious and not have that issue, than not and be on the hook for 18 years. You're seeing a lot of that "disparagement" because most of the time, a girl in her early 20s is going to have a better body, throw less crap at you to deal with, etc. For a lot of men here who are only interested in short-term relationships, these women are often better. In their thirties, for a lot of childless women, their biological clock starts ticking, so there's a risk of birth control being sabotaged. The rest tend to be married and devoted, or a single mother, and those all have stupid …

If his offer to Kasich about making him "The most powerful vice president in the world" were any indication, then yeah. He would just delegate everything without making hard decisions. Of course, he could just be bullshitting, but I don't doubt that statement at least. If anything, he's overwhelmingly doing worse in polls. I don't agree with you, and that's fine. I just don't see shit that cynically on the matter. And it's a bit of hyperbole to say the least. In any case, all four potential candidates in any respect are just miserably hard to stomach. At least with Hillary, we can kinda predict what happens, and try again in four years, putting forth more reasonable and useful candidates. Continue losing weight where you can until you get your BF% down to an appropriate level, but provided your chub isn't too bad, feel free to try anyways at this point. My suggestion is to find some part-time work while going to school, and to have a schedule you stick to. More importantly, once you start focusing on your major, apply for every single (paid) internship you can find. Not only are you getting paid to learn, it's also incredibly valuable experience that'll get you a job in your field after (or before!) graduation. I've told all my younger cousins and siblings to not get married. While it's (currently) working for me, there's no guarantee it'll even last, and that's irritating. A shame, since I didn't know any better. So, for the record, here's what I have going for it: Both of us married as Mormons. When in doubt, it probably is. Two possibilities: 1) She actually is ill. Wish her better and let her re-initiate when she's ready, otherwise move on. 2) She's flaking because she's not interested for any number of reasons as indicated by shaking an 8 ball, rolling three d20s, and drawing three arbitrary lines in sand, then matching it on a list as long as my mother is wide. Options: 1) To increase wealth, you need cold hard $$$. So pick up a part-time job. Preferably look on your university for jobs, any they have will pay more than minimum and are doable with a student workload in mind. That and it looks better on a resume if you've done some work while doing classes. 2) Look for internships. Based on age, you're either a sophomore or junior, most likely. The inspiration for it, RISUG, has zero known side effects and in clinical studies is 100% effective at preventing pregnancy. The idea is that it's flushable via a baking soda solution if you want it removed, or it stops being effective after 10 years, but there's a risk if becoming sterile if this doesn't work. RISUG's been used for decades just fine, so it should be safe if the theoretical aspects line up.

If you ultimately head down the divorce route, look into mediation. It might be easier if you can convince your wife to just make the process as quick as possible. A mediator can speed up the asset splitting process, shortening the divorce process and hopefully avoiding the need to take it to court. Godspeeed man.

I lived on a farm one month a year back when I was younger, and due to it being in the wilderness, we had plenty of rifles and shotguns for coyotes and other random-ass predators, or target practice, or putting down lame animals. Anyone who goes out there to rob or intrude was walking to their own grave basically. And I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

This relationship is going to end pretty soon. Kids are one of those things you and an LTR cannot ever compromise on. Compromising is getting a pet, but other than that, there's only three ways this ends: You get your way, she becomes frustrated and leaves. She gets her way, you resent the kid and leave. You both recognize you have entirely different life goals, and part amicably.

That's what happened with me. I sent her on her way after fucking her again the morning after, went to the gym, and burned out within 10 minutes, barely having ran a mile, the energy wasn't there, seeing how I wasn't very well-hydrated, nor had I eaten anything in 18 hours. The vast majority say that marriage is a really bad idea, and for very good reason. At least half of marriages end in divorce, and usually the male gets screwed during that. It's like gambling on a 51% chance of losing it all. It's a really bad idea. Hell, I'm married and in hindsight I think it was a bad idea. Write a list down of shit you need to do with times on it, and fucking do it. Discipline nigga learn it. There are days even I don't feel like going to the gym, but I've learned to just fucking go even if I don't feel like it (I'll get into the swing of things after warming up usually) As for exercising, I've used Fitocracy for a while, which as I like playing video games in my spare time, kinda framed working out as something to get better at and improve through. You might not even need an app,…

It's in the past captain. Seriously, just forget about her, that relationship is dead for a reason and reopening that wound isn't going to help at all.

There's a reason in any relationship I set boundaries. They wanna break boundaries, I'm going to just say "We're done" and that's it. If you're letting a guest into your fortress, you'd expect them to follow rules set out. If I want an open relationship, they can either respect my wishes and/or be on the same page, or get out. Conversely, if we both want something serious, I expect her to not fuck other dudes. Fairly reasonable shit. That said, it's new year's eve. Go hook up. Set some boundarie…

Ah yes, the infamous dependapotamus, just looking for that meal ticket. Although I've become partial to calling them Tricareatops lately too. I've had to tell my brother that marrying his GF before deployment is going to be a shitty idea simply because the alimony if a divorce happens would ruin him, and to not expect her to be there after all is said and done. I don't know his girl that well either, but I know full well given the chance to fuck other dudes and walk away with his deployment bonu…

Yeah, for sure. If nothing else, take like that one dude did in the chattanooga craiglist and organize some ultimate frisbee. I know a lot of people jumped in on that because it was a blast and now there's usually a weekly meetup apparently.

You're missing the point. While the mantra is most relevant to businesses, it's also applicable in all other parts of life. Dating&relationships, hobbies, CAR BUYING, etc. Last point was the most relevant as of late, as I did a lot of shopping for a new car and ultimately bought one at the price point I wanted. There is always a certain point where the time/money/energy invested outweighs the benefits/output of something. OP is arguing that time/money/energy < the benefits/output. And seriously,…

Hard to have a locus of control over police frisking you in NYC honestly. I can't control them doing that without getting arrested/killed. And I'm fairly sure I answered his rebuttals at first. Control what you can, flow with what you can't.

That makes no sense considering, straight from the sidebar: "The Red Pill: Discussion of sexual strategy in a culture increasingly lacking a positive identity for men." While it also encompasses self-betterment, your explanation doesn't qualify as legitimate.

Okay, so how about voter ID laws, the same laws that are only problematic for the poor and minorities? And how about moves by republicans like Chris Christie blocking Tesla from New Jersey? Or how about Republican individuals like the Koch brothers fighting heavily against a windmill farm? And while I have no link on the internet, anecdotally, the republican representatives were pretty disdainful towards me purely because of the color of my skin. They didn't say it outright, but tone and inclina…

The same party that seeks to suppress minorities like myself that were born here. The same party that keeps legislating innovation out in favor of antiquated business models. The same party that thinks that women and minorities are subhuman. Two sides of the same coin.

I've chosen to withdraw from the market personally, at least for a while. Too much drama and I'd rather get a better payday. Bulking is in the pipeline after an upcoming marathon though, so we'll see. You're probably right though.

What I did with mine was leading by example. My girlfriend when I met her was closer to 220 lbs. This was before I really unplugged. I made a suggestion to start exercising together, which she agreed to, even if it's just walking 4-6 miles. She eventually lost about 60 pounds to this date, and she has taken up hiking, with goals and incentives for reaching them. Lead by example and be the leader you should be, honestly. And a bit of dread game helps if you make it clear in some manner that you h…

Tell them you're not interested in a broken system of marriage. It's a losing proposition unless you're interested in having kids. That and some tax benefits. That's about it. Still, the risks outweigh the benefits, so nahhhhh. Don't get married.

I think at this point though it's time to go nuclear and end this argument once and for all. OP's friend needs to clamp down and make it abundantly clear that her complaints stop or else he'll just ditch her. He doesn't need to take her shit.

BC effectiveness is measured in % of failures over the course of a year. So given proper use of condoms in 100 couples, over the course of that year three will probably end up pregnant.

It really depends on the whole package. Haircut, style of glasses, facial shape, etc. A good pair of glasses can complement your look if you need them, just be sure they fit properly. I can't get contacts in no matter what, so I just rock what I got.

Are you fucking kidding me? Let's see here, rape accusations alone can ruin someone's career honestly. It doesn't matter if you manage to get the accusation retracted, or beat it in a court of law. Teachers who have been falsely accused are jobless and I've seen various jobs fire people who get an accusation levelled against them no matter the case. No kidding. In terms of an LTR, relationships obviously start off great, but things... change, for better or worse. Life happens and so does weird shit. Of course, you can manage this. Be that leader she wants you (and yourself) to be, and it's more likely to work out. That said, don't expect to be their last, so rock that shit while you spin it.

Start building muscle. Ideally you'd want to try to lose excess fat and once you've lost most of it start working on strength training. That said, this is probably a question the fitness sub might be able to field a bit better.

Fortunately, the DA realized that these charges are actually fucking ridiculous and dropped them, given it's a goddamn 8-year-old. Unfortunately, it's possible as an 8 year old to be charged for something this dumb. Are you goddamn serious Canada?

Oh please, absolutely not. Anyone who would see dateable qualities in me is making a terrible mistake. I've got a short temper, a not-so-perfect body that I'm working on, and am going through a bout of depression related to the fact I'm missing a foot. That and still having difficulties starting a career in my field. That said, I'm too goddamn snarky for my own good, and able to make a brazillion good jokes, mostly related to the outcome of the world cup, so there's that at least.

If you think you're going to deploy at all, break it off. The slight heartbreak now is better than getting cheated on, seriously. My brother's dealing with this now, and he's kinda miserable about it. I just wish he listened to me. Long-term relationships and the military are really incompatible.

An interesting paradox, isn't it? Not focusing on sex being key to getting a ton of it. If nothing else, this post only confirmed that I should just focus on myself and improve above everyone else. I have a girlfriend, just need to come up with something awesome to do this week. Ideas?

It's pretty fucked up/counter-intuitive, but yep. Makes zero sense to burn them for literally not making enough money. In any other instance, it'd just affect your credit rating and you could just declare bankruptcy and start over. /u/vengefully_yours noted all the other bullshit they can do. If this situation comes up, it might be prudent to flee the country to one that doesn't have an agreement on child support, claim citizenship there. Do it before it becomes impossible. It's still pound-for-pound the most effective advice given. Given some dad bod guy with some game and a ripped dude with a little game, the ripped dude will probably do better. Everyone is shallow, and to an extent, how you look is an extension of your personality and will.
