I recently moved out alone. I had a good 9-5 at a gov agency but was immediately laid off after moving. I was told I "may receive a call back in the next 2-4 months", and I have been at the gov agency for 5 years without a layoff, so I expected a call that never came.

So for 5 months I've been eating my savings. Not enough hours to get unemployment. Now I can barely afford rent/food. I apply for 5+ jobs a day: labor jobs, CSR crap, telemarketing, pizza delivery... no calls, no emails, no responses. I've went back to a few of the places and talked to a manager just to find out they hired some sexy dumb bimbo instead of me - multiple times.

I need money desperately. I need income. I've tried freelancing sites and made like $200 for 50 hours of work so far bc it's the only jobs I can land.

Why the fuck is it so difficult to find work? I am in mid-Canada, 22 years old with no degree, just HS diploma. I would love a sales job where I am paid for the amount of work I put in, but nowhere wants to hire me, not even furniture store that pay commission only.

Can someone help me out. I am also ALWAYS looking for work-at-home jobs and province (state) jobs but so far NOTHING. Getting really frustrated.
