Mystery Method is not nothing, I'll give it that. But check out David D'Angelo instead. His talk "77 Laws of Attracting Successful Women" is what 21st century PUA is all about.

I swear to god if you aren't a frustrated 13 year old playing pretend I'll eat my hat. The OP posted a completely valid point, and you posted total garbage. Nothing you said makes an ounce of sense. Anyone going through the trouble of posting a well worded FR deserves real feedback, including where they went wrong, and what they should have done. For a vet, explaining what someone should have done is easier than boning your mom. (hint: incredibly easy)

I was on a date recently. I was laying down plenty of kino during the show, no reciprocation (for like 2 hours straight). I suggested we go somewhere else after, and she declined. I walked her to her car, went in for the kiss, and the dam broke, all of her pent up womanlyness came pouring out. Took her back to my place and slept with her. I'm alright at reading social signals and such. Girl had mad pokerface. Always assume attraction.

I just had a great idea! There is a little banner at the top of the page in some reddits where they mention things, like "This is for questions, if you want to ask DAE, please do so in the appropriate subreddit." I only saw it once before, and it really stood out to me, much more than the sidebar. Maybe we could get one of those little banners, and mention quickly that questions should be posted to askseddit, and new comers should reference [...] material.

I decide based on logistics, if the waitress didn't split the check, and I don't have cash, I'm offering to pay. Whatever makes the check less intrusive, with a bias toward having her pay her own way. Every now and again, when it fits into conversation I ask, "are you offering to buy me lunch?". Gotten a couple... Feels good, makes me like the girl, I can see why they like guys paying for them. It's not always just a monetary thing.

I see it as Fundamentals > Tactics > Routines Fundamental, generate comfort Tactic, create "us and them" Routine, point out another couple who are fighting, ask "Do you think we'll ever end up like that?" Routines should be improv, but I think tactics have a place. There isn't terminology already for this level of discrepancy is there? I don't want to re-invent the wheel. I am thinking of writing something thorough enough that my desires as an engineer would be satisfied.

I'm still sussing out exactly what things I classify as fundamentals, tactics, and which tactics fall under what fundamentals. If you have any valuable insight, lets hear it! My next post like "Rules of Dating" will be more thorough.

I let her know I got an inside joke on her profile, and asked if anyone else did, they didn't. "us and them" -powerful I told her that my night was just ending and that I had a ton of fun and would like to meet her. She ignored me at this point for a week, later she told me she was afraid to meet someone. "be the party", "escalate" Then I told her she was rude for ignoring me, that I thought her previous message was really sweet and genuine, and that I appreciated getting it. Also that I've met …

I read your other thread. TofuTofu and ThrowawayPUA are right. You're lucky, you have multiple heavy-weights weighing in, and they all agree. You need more practice, and need to calibrate your game. The original thread was a terrible, terrible idea. You not realizing this at the time is a huge red flag, as was your terrible reaction to the criticism you received for it. The important thing isn't whether you like bars or not. It's that you push your comfort zone, which you clearly are doing. You're on the right track, and if you keep it up you'll lap the other AFCs here in no time. I do like TwiceWiseAndDrunk's advice though. Clubs aren't all bad, in fact, it's kind of easier to talk to people because it's loud and crowded. You have to touch them to get their attention, use more body language, and lean in and whisper in their ear. You might not have an in-depth …

First off Seddit is not about asking for advice with a specific girl, so most people who are qualified to give good advice will not respond. Second... I asked her when I could see her again and she said "I'm not sure" This is really weak. I'm not being hard on you to be an ass, but you need to start from square one. You need to find a PUA system, read it, internalize it, and practice it and start posting FRs here if you want to improve. Advice is not going to do anything for you, short or long t…

Dude fuck this noise. Terrible advice here. For one virgins can be bedded just as fast as non-virgins. Sometimes faster, cause they are ready to lose it. Here's what you need to know. Make sure you are interested in her. It seems you are. You don't have to commit to being an item, just have genuine interest. She'll need to feel comfortable. Be real. There isn't a situation where a girl isn't ready to meet you if she's attracted to you. There's a girl on Okcupid who's been there for 10 months, never met anyone because she was scared, and I got her out on a date in 3 short messages, and maybe 4 texts. I'm not saying never chat, I just want to provide my perspective that if you play it right, you never need to chat.

Here's how it should have been You stop her in the hall and say "Hey I see you around all the time, who are you?" You make small talk. You look for a keyword, something she likes, or should like that you like that you two could do together. Then you say "Hey I've got to go, but maybe we'll [...] sometime. See you later" She swoons. Then you do some cool shit on your own time. Pretty soon you run into her again and say "You again, are you stalking me?" Small talk "So how about that [...]?" If she…

If you have a profile that jives with them, they will see you as high value. There are so many boring profiles out there that the good ones stand out. I've been a lot of girls first date off the site because of that fact alone. Once they get more familiar with it and they get more adventurous, I think it becomes less important.

Tease her about it. Re-read your message to ensure it comes across correctly though before sending, teasing online can be tricky. Include a smiley if you're unsure.

If you open the old message and write it there, if you write a new one she won't see the old one again. Make a fake account (takes 5 sec, no email verification required) and message yourself a few diff ways to test.

Getting fired is your call man. Weigh the risks. If you think the uniform is working against you (girls love that though!) then why not show up on your day off to "pick something up" or whatever? You can beat AA by just having a friendly conversation with her. It's a lot easier to initiate when you have no goal in mind. Just walk near her, pretend to notice her, smile, and say "Hey I see you here all the time ... [something]". Keep your chat very brief, say you gotta get going, and next time you…

You could go a different route and dismiss him with something like the FR that was just posted about the HB8.5 recently, "that's cute I have a goldfish". Whatever fits your style. Make it one line, then change the subject. The point is to show her you're not fazed in the slightest. Keeping your confidence, state and your body language congruent is more important than what you say. If you're not fazed at all she'll be curious/interested why. Treat it like it's not a big deal at all, and so will s…

Whatever you say chief. I get unsolicited messages most days. Maybe you aren't familiar with the fundamentals of seduction theory enough to implement it in a different context. Aside from the advice in my last comment, the only thing I do is differentiate myself from other guys.

If you don't get a message or two a week, and you live in a big city, you should fix your profile. Use seduction knowledge, and rewrite it when you're feeling really on top of the world. Alternatively you can find girls profiles you like and basically copy bits they have and combine them to form yours. That's a good cop out if you aren't creative.
/r/seduction24/03/11 04:33 PM

After a month, you can message them again and they are none the wiser. I've gotten a couple dates, even when I had a conversation with the girl a few months before, but she stopped responding. I did change my profile around a lot, but if you were sending beta messages then, your profile sucked too, so it's changed a lot already.

I think you're building her up too much in your head. She's just a girl, talk to her. Don't make it a big deal, you don't have to gather your courage, or see if she likes you. It doesn't matter. You just need to say hey, exchange some words, because you need to find out if she's cool. You've met some really uninteresting people in your life, and you want to make sure she isn't one. If you don't know how to talk to women, meaning, you don't get numbers very often, I suggest reading a book about i…

Seriously good job man! If she gave you a big smile, she prolly likes you. When a girl mentions her boyfriend I usually talk about him for a bit, "Is he bigger than me?", "Cool, what's his name, does he like <guy thing I like>?", "You should tell him I said hi". Or my favorite role reversal "Then why are you hitting on me?". I wouldn't over think it too much. If you would mess around with her, even though she has a boyfriend, just pretend like she doesn't. If embarrassing her in front of others really is your anxiety, I would just ask her something plausibly deniable. That is kinda the go-to for stuff like this. Anything that can be seen as non-romantic to observers, but will lead to romance, and likely she will suspect it anyway. To be honest though I don't see why you don't grab her while walking down the hall, tell the group you'll catch up, and ask if she wants to come to xxxx with you later this weekend. I don't like this. The only part that is relevant to my post is number 1, and it is just an example of "Assume attraction". The rest of the wall of text was talking about either pickup, relationships, or your personal life. Perhaps useful in their own fashion, but irrelevant in this thread. Irrelevant wall of text gets a downvote from me. I would upvote a short "Oceans 13 is a great example of assuming attraction" five ways to Sunday.

The traditional advice is "Don't compliment girls". This is a "rule", different from mine. It's for beginners, and a good stepping stone. The idea with all of the beginner dating rules is that once you learn to follow them, you are allowed to ignore them. I wrote more about it, just for you, here Follow the Rules
/r/seduction22/03/11 02:16 AM
6

If you call a girl right away, that's fine, but don't let it be because you aren't following the rule but rather because you can't wait to ask her out on that second date. This is exactly what I'm saying. Novices make the call right away, open doors, pay because they feel they "should". They also can't do what they should to make themselves happy, because they have very few "tools" available to them. Following stupid dating rules for awhile gives them new tools.

Consider "Don't ask a girl out with a note" a "Rule" and then take a look at my post Follow the Rules Essentially you can only ask her out with a note if you're perfectly comfortable not using the note to ask her out. It's pretty clear you're not comfortable, and are looking at the note as a way of doing the deed without confrontation. If I'm right, your motivations will be obvious to her, and it's a terrible idea. If I'm wrong, and you could just pull her into the hall, and say "Hey I'm going t…

You've done a good job of repeating what was in the first comment, which I agree is very effective material everyone should know. You make all the decisions. By this I mean when there is a choice to be made, you weigh the options and decide what the answer should be. Your decision may or may not be the one that gets used. Not really. Unless by "naturalized" you mean "become busy". Typically when we say "naturalized" we mean the knowledge has been ingrained into you enough that it has become reflex. "Naturalizing" this knowledge does not make false time constraints any more real. It sounds like a semantical argument, but it's not at all. The semantical argument would be that you said "you are naturalized" which does not make grammatical sense. [Edit] If I wanted to talk to someone about seduction and ensure they c…

It's why I'm here. For occasional extra effectiveness, include her in it too. She'll appreciate being brought along on your mini-adventure. Don't be afraid to go off without her for a bit, but remember it's a date, not day game, so while you can let her pine for your attention for awhile, you don't want her to feel neglected at any point.

This is really good info. I've spent awhile trying to figure out why I didn't include it. I may still, but for some reason I feel that it lays outside the context of what I was trying to cover. Really good info regardless though. Glad it's posted/upvoted. [Edit] I think it's because I'm personally moving toward all-natural game, and typically this sort of thing is contrived. Its effectiveness however is not debated.

I rarely even bother recovering the conversation. A few seconds into a silence I'll look the girl straight in the eye and give her a really warm smile. Imagine how you would feel if you were feeling really awkward and she did that to you. Things pick up naturally then. Everyone should be able to do this. Feeling awkward during a silence is just a challenge to your awesomeness.

The fundamental theory here is that you should never require a girl to make a decision. They don't really don't want to (be required to) make decisions. They are much more likely not to say no, than to actually say yes.

If 10s were dateable, they would be 9s. A girl who is a "10" and is all over you, is immediately downgraded to a 8 or a 9 just because of the way she is carrying herself. Easy pickups are not as high value. Now consider a girl who is a 9 but wants nothing to do with you at all. You pick her up anyway, it was hard, she was a 10 to you because of this. Now consider that there are no real 10s. The scale only goes up to 9, with the extra point awarded for situational difficulties. Now every 10 is th…

People who study and apply pickup know more about what most women want than most women do. By a lot. I think the answer any PUA would give to the douche question would include "high value" and "confidence". It seems, since you didn't mention either of these pillars of pickup that you are speaking more from an intuitive perspective. Pickup is close to the opposite of intuition. Despite which, being a female does provide a valuable perspective to the community, which I appreciate. If you have an i…

Seddit is not here to help with a specific girl. Seddit is here to teach techniques that apply to most women, and to tell you what you did wrong in certain interactions [FR]s. You were trying to game her over text too much. It's a useful medium, but it has problems which can hamper seduction. Aim to minimize texting, allow her to text you more than you text her when possible, and worry about attraction when you are face to face. If you think there is no reasoning behind why girls are attracted to douches you have not read/understood the sidebar, and you are not in a position to give advice to others. Though, in this thread, you are in good company. Douches have confidence and value themselves more than a girl. Nice guys usually don't have confidence and usually value the girl more than themselves. In my experience it's natural to develop confidence and value acting like a douche. Much easier than as a nice guy. Then once you internalize those, you can add nice back in and you will be the "whole package". I don't recommend learning to pick up girls while maintaining your old habits, especially being a nice guy. You need to accept the fact t…

I meant maybe you should have, before it even got this far. Hindsight is pretty simple stuff though. Really I was just shocked at the animosity here and felt I had to try and get people to tone it down in whatever way I could. Seddit is my lover and she deserves respect. [edit] one of my lovers

Banning him after a friendly warning seems justifiable to me then. Don't be afraid to strut your new powers when they are warranted. You were elected mod for a good reason, people trust your judgment. I just think a horrible mistake was made at some point when the conversation here degraded so quickly into something so unconstructive. If he was truly such a detriment, maybe it was not getting rid of him soon enough! I think avoiding the level of animosity in this thread in the future is of prima…

Well his feelings got hurt and he was kind of a baby, like a lot of people who might be too scared to even go out/post frs. I just think we need to learn something from this as a community instead of disregard him as just some asshole. There was useful feedback in there too.

Pretend like he asked for your number. Write it down and hand it to him, or ask for his phone and put it in. You can say something like "since you asked so nicely" or just "here you go" if he mentions that he didn't ask after that, "well you should have" Timid girls are a some a dozen. Confidence is attractive.

You seem reasonable so I'll give it another read when I'm at a computer and not my phone, but from what I see here he was right on a large number of points and ignored at every turn. The things he was wrong about were also pointed out critically rather than constructively. That said he did take the whole thing way too hard, but it isn't too hard to judge a persons arguments on their own merits, and not their subtext, is it? I mean this whole reddit is all about understanding subtext. Surely seei…

This was a great fr. The feedback given was too blunt for his likes, and in his defense he's right, people will learn more faster at first if we stress what they do right, and subtly hint at what they should improve on. That's fact, not debatable. However it's also true that different people have different styles of replies, and to be here you gotta have a tough skin. It does matter. If he reads the intro materials and learns this for himself he will actually be able to pick up girls. If he keeps asking for advice here he is doomed to fail. You can give him all the advice you want, you're just hurting him in the long term... And possibly the short term too.

Not to be a dick but this isn't r/relationshipadvice. You need to spend some hours reading the side bar and at least one or two pickup methods before asking for help. Agreed. I don't see how this this is anything but bragging. Pictures of us out sarging would "prove" more. Honestly don't see any reason to risk embarrassing my girls. Leave them better than you found them, remember guys? That's fundamental.

Seddit is to help figure out what you did wrong, and discuss general theory. As far as giving you advice on what to do now, r/relationshipadvice is for that.
/r/seduction09/01/11 04:19 AM

This isn't a field report. Seddit is not about getting that one girl. You need to post toys in r/relationshipadvice. In order to get many girls, read the side bar.

Why would you even tell us that you were laid off on your birthday? That reeks of seeking pity. Gross. The next time you say "I was laid off on my birthday" you continue by saying "And it was the best birthday present ever because soon after I discovered [cool thing], and I'm so much better off"

You just go out and have a good time. Talk to everyone, make new friends, don't consider for a second it's weird that you're there alone. Noone else will think that unless you put the thought in their head. You have nothing to apologize for.
/r/seduction15/12/10 05:45 PM

You don't get it. Talking to everyone has nothing to do with talking to the girls you're interested in. Talking to everyone is a method of reducing AA and increasing your social value. It is essentially a "pregame" tactic to make gaming easier. Actual gaming is 90% body language, tone of voice, kino, etc. Just don't say anything dumb. None of the vets here have ever suggested serious conversations as a method of seduction.

If they have a very serious resolution, like losing weight, tease them very softly, and whatever you do don't disagree. Telling a girl she doesn't need to lose weight (or whatever other serious goal) is a losing battle and comes across as supplicating. "oh why do you want to do that? You're gorgeous/smart/perfect" Might not be what you said, but it's what they will hear.

Leave your house for hours more than normal every day, even if you don't have any idea what you'll do or where you'll go. Just leave. Go to new places. Especially if they make you uncomfortable. Notice your surroundings. Talk to everyone. Tell your social ineptitude to fuck off. Do this for 2 months and report back. There aren't any magic bullets. Smiling is the closest thing to one. Try smiling. If you want to overcome, you've got to put in the effort. The bad news is it's a lot of work, and yo…

Fundamental: it doesn't matter what you say, but how you say it Stay in state, set the frame, smile, say anything you want. If you're smiling and have been joking and teasing her, any cohesive sentence that comes out of your mouth will be well received when delivered with confidence and proper body language. You "something flirty and fun kino" Her "Omg I can't believe you said that! laughs" You "I'm going to put my penis in you in under an hour" Her "Oh you! beams"

Fundamental: Talk to everyone You're completely right that talking to everyone is what you need to do. Make it a goal to talk to at least three new people every day. Then five. Then ten. Then groups of people. If you have trouble finding people to talk to, go buy a pack of gum and talk to the cashier. Cashiers and waiters are great when you're just getting into this, but try and move away from them and onto other people when you feel more comfortable. As for getting past it faster, talk to even …

What I meant was, if I start dating a girl, and she knows I'm seeing other girls, it should be a few months before she says anything about being exclusive. Since you're not looking for exclusivity right now, I don't think that applies. From a guys perspective, I would say be a lot of fun, throw out IOIs, be available, but not all the time, and don't be too clingy. Mostly be fun though!

Read between the lines... she had said on other occasions that her and I are really good friends and there was no way we could ever have sex She has thought about having sex with you before. You guys are friends, you can't start from square one and date. The relationship is going to change when something physical happens, and continues to happen. Until then you're still friends, no matter how much "dating" occurs.

Be upfront about only being there for a few months, and dating other girls while you're there. If she's cool with it, give her what she wants. Even if she gets her heart broken, it would have been inevitable. Better to be over you, who was upfront and respected her, than some guy just looking for a lay. Besides, she'll have an awesome first time story about banging an American.

Don't worry about the suggestion I gave you. That was for comparison. You should try and internalize the idea behind it. You're awesome, you have nothing to apologize for. Work on your confidence and you won't make that mistake, or any of the ten thousand just like it again. There's ample material in the intro post, and throughout this forum if you look for it. Don't ever apologize, unless you really have to. If you accidentally punch her, or you say something incredibly offensive, you can apologize. Never apologize for who you are, even if she doesn't like it. By apologizing for being awkward you just reminded her of the worst parts of your last meeting. Next time try reminding her of the best parts.

In your case I would just relax and tease the girl who is explaining "game" while running game on the other one. Generate attraction with the one, turning her against the other making the first jealous. Ask the girl familiar with game for directions. It's a great opener for kino. If you do it right they won't notice even if they are well versed in pickup. Doing it right comes across as natural, and generates attraction. You aren't going to assume the worst about someone you're attracted to. If you don't come across as confident, or in doesn't mesh with your personality, or it seems like you're trying too hard, I think anyone can tell you're running pickup game, even if they aren't familiar with PUA techniques. Avoid Oneitis. You choose the girl, the girl doesn't choose you. You have no reason to impress her. Let her try and impress you. If it doesn't work out, next her and move on. These are fundamentals. Internalize them. Seddit isn't here to provide advice on gaming a specific girl. Read the intro material, read a few pua methods, get out and try them, then post a FR here for feedback.

You really need to read through the beginner material in the introductory post. http://www.reddit.com/r/seduction/comments/ctoxh/new_to_seddit_check_here_first/ Seddit doesn't give advice about situations that are about to happen. Seddit provides feedback for field reports, and will help you understand the theory of pickup. Read the intro material, give it a shot, and write up a field report here for quality feedback.
