I like exploring too. Telling her that you wandered off is cool because it gives her the impression that you are always doing something (which is true). Sitting and waiting is an unattractive activity.

i like it. it would be interesting to see this implemented on a large scale, and have sedditors report back - what was better, the stuff you found while exploring or the girl/date.

part of the Alpha male code - not to be a poser, have a real passion and enjoy it. therefore i am an avid biker (tracking, touring and etc).

so whenever my date is late, i am always on my phone whatsapp with my bunch of bikers and making phone calls arranging the next trip. then, when she arrived, i would often tell her (them) "hang on, let me finalise my plan first"

then, i would go on telling them i have arranged another trip and if she is interested in another date, it would be after a certain date. that's DMV.

Regardless of pick-up, arranging to meet someone then wandering off is discourteous. Impatience is not a virtue. Further, it's pointlessly aloof unless you achieve something (coming back with cherries might excuse you). Similarly, the other advice–to be vibing with other people–too shows a lack of respect. You promised your exclusive company to your date. [Of course, vibe with others is vital – at another time].

My advice. Arrive early and amuse yourself in things, not people. Draw or write, else read. You are a man with your own interests. You do not idle but exploit time fruitfully. When she arrives her presence delights you, but had she not, you would have enjoyed your day regardless. If she were late, you did not notice her tardiness, let alone did it bother you. Your things are promptly put away. You do not try for her approval, but if she asks about your drawings, they are worthy of conservation later. She now has your total attention.
