What might explain the lack of results has nothing to do with you and it’s all about college aged women checking out their options perpetually, this will come to an abrupt end once college is over

Probably no finesse required, she’ll let you know if she’s down

Probably not, I might limit yourself to one drink that you sip throughout the evening, women can see ‘heavy drinking’ as a red flag and then all bets are off.

It might be good to focus on her solely, ask her about herself, be genuinely interested and ask follow up questions. The girls I’ve known make a decision in less than a minute whether there will be a second date or whether something will happen anytime soon. I read this great book after my divorce called ‘dating for dummies’ and it got me up to speed.

I’ve had a few online dates about half were good and half were bad good sign that she’s willing to come over on the first date. I just keep my voice low and slow and don’t force anything.

They’ll let you know whether they’re interested. I’ve got a track record of being hooked up with older women most of the time. It just turned out that way.

Start by reading The Tao of Pooh and read the chapter on ‘The Pooh way’ which will introduce you to Wu Wei ‘not forcing’ ‘effortless action’ or ‘non action’ which does not mean to be passive

I don’t go to bars at all, never have. Mostly at work, and online if I can get them on the phone. I just keep my voice low, slow and smooth, it’s like that anyway, kind of a public radio voice. If I could get them on the phone, I could get the date.

I’m 59M, the PUA stuff popped up on my feed and it’s just never worked that way for me. It sounds like you’re doing all the right things. I’ve done well in romance even though I’m a late bloomer. I simply didn’t force the issue. I let the woman force it. These terms like kino and friend zone, it might just heighten your anxiety. Oddly enough, my luck turned around way before the internet when I started reading The Tao Te Ching. There’s a concept called ‘Wu Wei’ which means ‘not forcing’ ‘non act…

I’ve usually ended up with older women, no matter what my stage of life. I didn’t really have a strategy, I kept it pretty formal and polite and always dressed a lot nicer than was required for the occasion. I never forced the issue, I just let it happen.

In 1985 when I turned 21, I started reading The Tao Te Ching, after stumbling across the idea of Wu Wei which means ‘not forcing’ effortless action’ or ‘non action’ I decided to live my life with the minimum appropriate amount of force from here on out. In a short time, friends, lovers and occupations were falling into my lap. I simply did not force the issue. I really recommend reading ‘The Tao of Pooh’ as an introduction.

It really wasn’t that bad. It started out 24M and 34F, she delivered at 36 and we divorced at 8.5 years, but it was amicable, our son is doing great, successful and healthy, makes me proud. I got right back on the horse and started dating. Divorce rate is about 50 percent, average marriage of four years, we beat the odds for a while.

The psychologist Wayne Dyer has YouTube videos, some great essays on becoming detached from the results. They really speak volumes about the worlds of love and work. The Canadian physician Sir William Osler talks about the vital importance of system in your work, in any domain. Have a system. It’s what I would have told my younger self. In addition, apply these systems with the minimum appropriate lev of force. It takes training and reminders to stay in this mode of behavior for a length of time…

Sure, in my studies I previously been studying ‘hard’ and putting a lot pressure on myself, I was forcing the issue inside my head to the degree that studying at all was a stressful, nasty task. I did not perform well, and my study time was just here and there for short periods. I went to library, relaxed, unlocked my breathing and became detached from the results of my efforts, I simply put in the time and only took in the information as fast as it would come in, and took notes and worked probl…

The Wu Wei thing, I adopted in 1985, I was 19. My boss gave me a copy of ‘The Tao of Pooh’ and Wu Wei is explained beautifully in the chapter ‘The Pooh way’, it all came to one paragraph ‘Wu Wei is that of the water which flows over and around the rock, not the straight line approach that short circuits The Inner Nature of Things’. So there I was in my grocery store job, not inspired at all, not making my grades either and coming up short in romance I made a decision to speak, behave and even mo…

I’d avoid worrying about things you can’t control, and romantic interest is one of those things. You can’t negotiate attraction. There’s a concept from the Tao Te Ching called ‘Wu Wei’ which means ‘non action’ ‘not forcing’ or ‘effortless action’ basically meaning not forcing things to happen, rather allowing them to happen. I started applying this in 1985 and my romantic life began to unfold, it simply started moving towards me. I kept my voice low and slow, dressed nicer than was required for …

Totally, my young friend. You know Wu Wei! I am delighted. It has been a part of my life since 1985, since I adopted this idea and applied it consistently, I simply do not force the issue and it comes to me, the slow burn burns hottest. I keep my voice low and slow, I move my body through time and space with the minimum appropriate level of force. I still wonder why this even works, perhaps those around you feel more safe and secure? I m too busy enjoying the results. A secondary thing I did was…

True, I wonder if I unconsciously sought out female dominated jobs because I just like being around them, it’s an idea to take a part time job in retail (which I have done) I worked at a drug store in the hood and soon had a wallet full of phone numbers, then came social media which expanded on that, your results may vary but the extra money is nice

I had a professor who wrote a textbook, atlas of interpersonal relationships (Caryl Rusbult) and initial attraction comes down to two things, physical attraction and proximity. Look good and be around them. The crazy thing is much of this you can buy, and being around them is a choice. Once I knocked out these two things, I found out the women were still in control over the selecting, it just made it more likely I’d be selected. I like this thread, keep it going or DM me.

I wonder if YouTube has advice for dressing according to your body type, long ago I opened up a Land ‘s End and L.L. Bean catalogue and ordered every stitch of clothing on two different models, right down to the wristwatch, belt, shoes. Etc. I got immediate results, a lot more attention at the next and all parties I went to from that date on.

Super cool! I’m pretty shy, very thin but very tall. I’ve done well especially with older women by dressing nicer than is required for the occasion and having a part time job in retail (80 percent of shoppers are women, many older) and swing dancing (same percentages) I really recommend it.

You may find that she reaches out in the future when her options don’t pan out. Then, it will be a decision. You’re more in a position to have her take you out and pick up the tab. Thank you for the question. I started dressing well, minimum was business casual, but a dress shirt most of the time. I had to wear a tie for work. Nice shoes, nice watch, business haircut. I’ve always been tall and thin, with a low voice. I dressed like that all the time because it was the only clothing I had. HahahahHa. Beauty is a tyranny that does not last - Socrates. It’s a terrible thing to run with a group that’s a lot more attractive than yourself, I’ve lived that in my late teens and 20s but I totally got caught up, 5-10 years it gets better, the playing field gets very level and when it happens, you’ll love it.
/r/seduction07/07/22 03:21 PM

Exactly. I’ve been around a while, 58M, I’ve only had a handful of partners and the great lesson seems to be that women do the selecting, my body count is low, like 6 or 7 but I’ve had a series of quality, monogamous relationships and that’s the way I do life. On life’s terms. Once I accept the reality of attraction, I can’t change it, except the changes for the changes in myself that come from choices.

Ballroom dancing! Sign up and go, like 30 women show up and 2 or 3 men.

I believe we attract them like gravity when we are caught in the act of being our best self.

I’m a heretic. I’ve found doing a search on ‘ballroom dancing’ or ‘social dancing’ brings up the studios and events. It’s always like 30 women to 3 men. You get passed around like a slave. I’m a social worker and I study interpersonal attraction. The strongest predictors of initial attraction are physical attractiveness and proximity. Getting your look together and being around them. Dancing is the elegant solution that requires little to no game. I wish you well.

There’s a speaker on YouTube named Douglas Kruger. From South Africa, he has a video called ‘how to become an expert in your field (industry?)’ but he has many like this. He’s low pressure, great accent and friendly. Like talking to a bro! I really recommend his stuff and I wish you well!

I had amazing luck with ballroom dancing. Like I was one of three men, over 30 women showed up, I was getting passed around like a slave. It was great!

I have found ballroom dancing to be infinitely better than social media. Like 30 women to one man. You’ll have a girlfriend quickly.

I’m thinking the ‘good time’ words sound like you wanted sex but the way she said ‘spoil’, man don’t waste a minute. I’ve known attractive women who rack up three dates a week for the free food. Run!

A job or some training is a good start. I left accounting to become a certified nursing assistant and never looked back. This was before covid and the work was unlimited. I can only imagine it’s even more that way now. Ever considered a health occupation? Easy entry, pays well enough and surrounded by women.
/r/seduction19/10/21 12:00 AM

Do you work with her? Go to school with her? I’d keep lines of communication open, just don’t bring it up again and act normal. Other women will come after you soon enough.

Totally fine. I was 24 when I lost my virginity, married her, had a healthy son who turns 29 this year. 8.5 great years married until we broke up. No regrets.

I’ve been around. I’ve heard from numerous women that attentiveness wins over looks. Active listening and reflective listening could make the date.

Having a part time job in retail, and taking up ballroom dancing gives you a ratio of at least 30 females to one male or higher. Two top factors are physical attraction and proximity. Dress nicer than is required for the occasion and seek out situations that are female dominated. Play it cool. Someone will get aggressive and approach you.
/r/seduction11/10/21 02:14 AM

Let me get this straight. Talking about your ‘model’ ex but not being obvious about it?

I’m a little over 6’2” so 157 is kind of too thin, but my BF was so low that my arms, especially forearms were striated. It looked great. I’m looking to add about 10 pounds of lean mass so I don’t look like a cancer patient.
/r/seduction26/09/21 10:34 PM

Right on! When I was 38, I was a nursing assistant at 157 with 5% body fat. No money! But the women were endless.

I accepted that that 95% of women would reject me and after that it was a low stakes game. I don’t even need 5%. I just need one good one.

I’ve never been a commercial success. I focus on independence and running my own show even in mundane jobs. It comes to me. They catch me in the act of being the best I can be. All comes down to a few seconds that I didn’t see coming. I’m not aggressive. I let them get aggressive.

I’ve never had money. I might pay for the first few dates, then I’m honest about not having the funds to go out and offer to cook for here.

Alcohol is overrated. I was in a fraternity where it was always flowing and surrounded by girls. Not even one date per year. Virgin until I was 24. When I got out there after college and got my first apartment, things started popping. I never chased them. Never had to. It would come to me and I knew it in my heart.

It sounds like you’ve decided what you want which is the key thing. I’ve had to go through a whole bunch of shapes and sizes before I said ‘this is it’. I read the book ‘dating for dummies’ after my divorce and it was such a good book that applying just a few principles increased my success so quickly that it made my head spin. After one or two dates, these girls were talking about being exclusive. This was a great life lesson for me. I couldn’t just wish it was better, I had to have a plan.

Sadness, depression. I’ve had it. It drives people away. I take an antidepressant and do everything I can in the natural to decrease my depression. It’s a bit counterintuitive at first but I’ve found that if I’m ‘selfish’ in terms of self care, exercise and diet, dressing a little nicer than is required for the occasion, it comes to me. In college, I didn’t even have a date per semester. I swore off chasing women and I knew it in my heart. I changed myself in ways that were objectively attractiv…

I have done pretty well by never forcing the issue. I’ve always been employed in female dominated environments and just let it come to me. Just a part time job in retail increases your chances by a lot.

If what you have with her is really a good vibe, it won’t matter what you text, how little or how much you text. Initial attraction is based on physical attraction and proximity. My professor wrote a book on attraction. Caryl Rusbult. I’ve done well by getting my look together and having part time jobs in retail and healthcare. Dominated by women.

I certainly didn’t force it to happen. I let it happen. I let it come to me. What worked for me was I was athletic from a physical job in a hospital. After my divorce, I ended up working in a hospital in my home state. I worked hard, and was polite and formal. I had a girlfriend before the end of month and we dated on and off for ten years. Being in an environment that is dominated by females really helped. The research shows that physical attraction and proximity account for initial attraction.…

I have never had to sexualize a conversation. I’ve never had to touch her first. I was polite, formal and demonstrated a genuine interest. They kiss me and start getting naked. There’s no tricks out there.

I’ve done pretty well as far as gfs because I did work part time in retail, over 80 percent of coworkers and customers are women, I didn’t have of a strategy. I kept myself clean, maybe dressing a little nicer than is required for the occasion and was just polite and formal. It starts happening pretty quick. Many of them will add you on social media and I always had phone numbers in my wallet. Consider part time retail as a side hustle. It’s a way to ‘get out there’ and use the money for dates. …
