Been MIA from here. Things have improved joining 3 days late. I'll catch up on those 300 pushups

You have a point but considering she is a nurse working(12 hour shifts) on a pediatric floor her unit does get closed periodically due to low census of patients and she does get floated around to nicu or l&d but even the nicu suffers from lower census or does not need the extra nurse. She has to use pto in order to match some of her hours from time to time that she lost. She likes where she works so I'll give her that. Sounds to me like I'm giving excuses but I get where she is coming from becau…

Why isn't she putting in equal effort if no kids are involved? Not really sure I understand. Effort in doing things on her own? Surprisingly she added me to her insurance on her own because it didn't involve talking to a person and was able to do it online.

NMMNG or MMSL first? I'll be reading in bits and pieces due to priority readings that I am doing.

I suppose it is. Considering she doesn't do anything on her own and works 3 night a week. Unfortunately, I am busy most days out of the week and work 24 hours on Saturdays. It's a temporary situation that will change here in 7-9 months.

Personally? I'm tired of the living in the now bullshit. Tired of feeling like she thinks I'm having fun doing this. I'm doing this for future gains and not for shits and giggles. I can build a long term career that had various avenues. I'm starting to get the I'm done feeling.

I'm noticing that. To add to it I believe her coworker's husband just finished his RN and they are getting divorced. She's had the fear I would do the same. Telling her is pointless due to her insecurities. I'm getting sick of coddling her and sick of the bullshit.

My frame is shit, need to get into a better mindset. As of late most of the convo has been via text so I ignore them and don't respond.

I have no plans of failure. I don't plan on becoming a CNA when I can work as a Paramedic (better pay than CNA). I made the lateral/upward shift from Paramedic to getting my BSN. I chose to go straight through to 15 months versus 12 months for ADN and 12 months for BSN. Better chance to get a Magnet hospital job out the gate. You going to let her give you shit about the best, most fool proof career track in America? You going to let her give you shit about getting into a career where you will be…

Actually I have 7 months left to be have my BSN. The 5 year plan involved FNP and since more programs are online I can do that in 2.5 years and still work. Been working on my sleep and coffee has been my friend. Does she know any of this? This is the purpose of a come to jesus speech. you narrate the next 5 years, the hardships, and the dream. Make it emotional, so she can wrap her hamster around it. Think of you telling her what to tell her girlfriends when they complain she can't come out for …

Exactly. Total 15 months but still. I worked full time the first 8. Decided I needed to focus on completing the program and get my degree.

Agreed 7 months is not that far away for long-term and stable gain.

Good points. The last two nights I didn't bother. No bitching. The last two nights when I would go get us drinks from the lobby I came back and she was legitimately passed the fuck out. I even passed out shortly after. The long days did seem to have some effect. Up at 6:30am and out at 10pm. Seems legit. So I layed off and relaxed and had fun. I'm looking at this as square one to get my shit together since that's part of the beginning, OYS.

Yup. IF and p90x3 for now until I finish school. I can manage 30 minutes a day better. More nutrition focus will help. Thanks.

I struggle with STFU because I'm not sure how to respond when she pulls the "are you just not going to talk to me? Or "I don't feel loved." Cards. Smile and treat her like a child who wants attention?

Have fun on vacation dude. That's what I needed to hear. She's about to be on the rag so these next two days I'll need to take your advice. Focus on improving when we get back.

Doesn't want kids. Hindsight this could be a good thing. Like maybe the best thing that's ever happened to you. As a captain you are accountable to yourself firstly and to a lesser extent your crew for your behavior. If you have decided your behavior is reasonable, you are not accountable for her emotions. If the real problem is that you can't live without her approval, then you need to work on that, not changing her mood so she gets back to validating you. I'm comfortable alone. I'm busy all th…

Bleedimg for several weeks? Get it checked asap. need to rule out Endometriosis, cervical cancer etc. Well that was last month. Didn't clarify. She's just late and she feels it is going to start soon. She had a pap smear done that was negative not long ago. Maybe hormone imbalance. I'll talk to her about going to see an ob/gyn. If it is medical then as much as I can bark "get out of her frame" still a problem that needs to be handled. I can't fix it but support is important. Unless I'm way off o…

Lift. Become attractive. Do the work read the side bar Stay the fuck out of her frame Yup. Time to man the fuck up and realize all women that spew not wanting your kid either want or are so unattractive to you but almost ready th pull the ILYBINILWU trigger Good point. She hasn't pulled that. Could also be the stress because she mentioned giving on kids and just traveling the world. It will fucking shock you how fast she will find a method to fix her irregular periods to fuck you on a regular ba…

Right right. I actually STFU for the most part. She's already apologized but I've just continued to STFU. I am having some difficulty with it but I'm learning. Appreciate it.

Studying. Ironically it's maternity nursing care lol. I swear nursing partially pushed me toward making a man out of myself to keep my sanity.

Great point. I'm not no. I spent some time with her but told her I needed to study, this was before she mentioned the two things. So she's asleep getting a nap before work and I'm here studying. Just trying to find the right balance and not go too fast.

Good point on the gymnastics team. Deep down yes rejection sucks. Still planning on using it tonight so regardless on what happens I have two things I plan on doing anyway. Shower and get some rest for the next day. I actually want to fuck with her and not fuck her. Make her hamster spin. Granted if she initiates I won't give her the cold shoulder. Basically, playing by ear right now.

Yeah knocking that omega shit off now (tit for tat is omega/beta right?) Just going in to give her a full body massage.

Sounds like a plan. I've already given her a small massage this morning and put her to sleep. For context, she worked night shift last night and I ordered her to bed so I could continue the massage. When she protested and I told her get to bed again. I was planning on making her pass out because I have to leave for class soon. We spoke about the massage and I just told her she would get a coconut oil massage. I played with her and told her dinner would be around 7 and her massage appointment is …

This is why I was on the fence. I like your idea. Hopefully one day I have my ah ha moment and don't need to think about it. Considering also we use condoms, that and coconut oil won't mix well unless we want my demon spawn any time soon. So it'll be a good to just focus on the massage as not a big deal. I'm just massaging her. Working on not having expectations for things this early into the real world. I still have work to do.

glorified baby sitter on a pediatric nursing floor. Have to say that is an uncalled for attitude. She probably has a little boy or little girl die every week in that ward (or the ward where they are transferred). That was a butt hurt moment for me and being a titty baby. Considering I'm in nursing school...fortunately we do talk about our jobs and our patients it's usually a common ground we have had lately. So I am there for her when she has a bad case (i.e., abused kids, kids needing to be int…

This is a super shitty action, and I know from first hand experience. Don't ever fucking think about doing this to someone you care about unless they're literally pointing a gun at their head. Wasn't going down that route. To clarify that's work, people give up and make it someone else's "problem". This is home. I don't want her to ever be put somewhere I don't think she needs unless she is to the point as you mentioned, gun to her own head. You are not your wife's psychiatrist. Don't try to fix…

Haven't really kept track. As of right now I'm working on things in the house that we bought in June. We don't have kids so there's that out of the way.

She seems overwhlemed, have you tried talking and figuring out the source of the problem? Yes. Figured out what has been bothering her. Rarely is it work, usually it is something that gets carried to work, carried daily like a fucking weight vest. "A-hole" surgeon that transfers their patients often because they call to clarify orders. So basically doing her job as a nurse. Maybe she feels fat, inadequate, lacking job satisfaction, like she's missing out on whatever. We're both fat. I only start…

That's my thought. I just bought us better food options and will be doing more of the cooking because Ibwant to supplement my lifting. Literally only 4 days into this so I'm not expecting overnight changes. [Insert other metaphors for one step at a time] I have offered her suggestions on working out but not going to make it my problem. I have my own workouts to do.
