Generic answer: all the time. If you feel you've arrived too late or too early, worst thing that can happen is you don't approach at all. Specific answer: I've found the best time to approach is between 2 and 3 hours of closing time. For my state, all bars close at 2 so I have most success between 11 and 12. I feel like this is the hour when the most people are arriving and willing to be approached. Arriving a bit earlier allows you to get interactions for to get some social momentum. Your milea…

I was basically in this exact same situation last year. I'd literally have girls approach me and basically ignore them/brush them off because I was somehow afraid of rejection (doesn't even make sense honestly... Why would they reject you if they're approaching you in the first place?). Now, I literally can't stop approaching when I'm out. It gets to the point where my friends get annoyed at me because they want to hang out and I'm never around them. So to your question... The thing that got me …

Hey man, I went through a very similar situation in high school. First girl I ever fell hard for. Texted her every day. Fuck, I even gave her guitar lessons just so we could hang out. Never ever tried to make a move because I was too scared. Decided I would ask her to homecoming my sophomore year. Took weeks for me to get up the nerve, and the day before I was going to ask her, I get on Facebook and see that my BEST FRIEND at the time had started dating her. For a 14 year old, that shit hurt. Fe…

Worst mistake: did not apply to med school because my girlfriend at the time wanted to have kids within the next couple years Most embarrassing: Almost getting banned from a high profile club my DJ friend got me into (after they gave us a free bottle, no less) because I was being "too handsy" with the waitresses while my drunk ass tried to flirt with them. This is why I don't drink much anymore.

Wow, your story sounds almost exactly like mine (albeit my massive heartbreak was almost 2 years ago now). Took me awhile to get back to where I was before, but I'm definitely levels above even what I was then. It gets better

I don't think there's really an end goal per se. As the married commenter said, even if you do end up married and don't feel like cheating, you need to keep your skills sharp to remain attractive. To me, seduction is like lifting. Every time you practice it, you will improve yourself, and improvement in itself is the goal. Personally, I went out and did the whole daygame and night game thing (sans alcohol most of the time) for awhile until I felt confident enough that I could pull or at least ge…

I feel like there's such a heavy focus on getting over approach anxiety, approaching and getting the initial number/date/hookup, but not much on how to maintain relationships after that. That's the biggest thing lacking from the seduction community as a whole imo.

Yes, I do believe that's what's happening. How did you overcome this? As far as I'm self aware, I act just the same on the first date (if not a bit more overtly physical) as I do on the initial engagement. It always seems like they're into me during and immediately after the date, but the interest fades over the course of a week or so afterward.

I definitely see that as a possibility. But the question is, how do you show the girl you're still interested without giving off a needy/clingy vibe? Obviously, showing direct intent and being bold in physical escalation in person does this, but that's pretty hard to do via texting - especially if it's multiple weeks in between meeting up.

You're making a lot of excuses both in your post and in the comments here. If you want your life to change, you're going to have to change elements of your life. Befriend your CS people, befriend people in the gym. Stop having such a negative outlook. And the bash on CS majors is really uncalled for. I was CS, and let me tell you, a LOT of them are very difficult to talk to and people you wouldn't want to hang out with. But there are also quite a few cool people in CS as well. Hell, a large part…

I like this. I could probably make an hour or two on a Saturday every once in awhile to volunteer. Something small but it might help break the monotony

22, Perhaps that's part of the reason because I still feel like there's boundless opportunity lying in front of me, but I can feel time passing and options beginning to fall away as I get older. I suppose that's the trade off of the real world though. Become great at some things and leave others in the dust.

I tried out meditation in the past, but I didn't really see what all the fuss was about, so I stopped. Perhaps I'll give it another go. Thanks! You're definitely right on the social circle aspect of things. My social circle has pretty much stopped growing because the only time I have to meet new people is on the weekend, and I find myself travelling to visit friends just to be able to maintain the friendships I worked so hard to build over the years. That is probably a large source of my feeling…

Normally, I'd totally agree with this recommendation, especially for people that don't have much going on. My thing is, I've already found a lot of these types of hobbies and projects to the point where I don't have time in my schedule to even add in a new hobby. They're all fulfilling in their own right, it just becomes a bit monotonous sometimes. But dropping something everytime you get bored is a great way to never get truly good at anything.

This might sound a bit strange, but you can use your Indian background to your advantage in a lot of social situations when dealing with people in the U.S. Make lighthearted jokes about how you're "the brown guy" and joke about stereotypes Americans commonly place on people from the middle East/Asia. The Americans that are actually worth a damn being around love poking fun at the other half of American culture that can't tell the difference between a person from India and a person from Saudi Ara…

Hey congrats man. I was in an extremely similar situation over the past year or so. What I found really helped is finding my own fashion. Obviously, make sure all your clothes are well-fitting, but apart from that, make it a point to find your style. I don't know you, but it could be the "bad boy" look, a classic, business type of look, the athletic look, whatever. Just find a style that fits your personality. You'll feel more confident, which will make you outwardly more attractive, and you'll …

It's not binary; it's a continuum where you gradually become more of a man and less of a boy as you journey through life. Think of your 18 year old self. Surely you are more of a man than he was. I definitely think life experience plays a big role in how fast you move along this continuum. Some guys graduate high school, go to work at a factory, and come home and play video games every night and repeat that indefinitely. Ever notice how these guys seem to be a bit less mature than others their a…

I had a similar situation when I started having sex. Granted, I never had a problem getting it up, but I was never able to actually orgasm. I think the first few times it was because the sex was really bad (I was in high school) but it developed into some kind of performance anxiety thing. This might be anti - seduction and I don't even really know the practicality of this, but what helped me was getting into an LTR with a girl who didn't make me feel like shit about not getting off. She was wil…

So by that logic, you should never approach anyone unless you have other options. And you can't get other options unless you approach. Interesting.

You might feel bad about it but do it anyway. Use the momentum to get with girls you deem more attractive. I don't care what anyone on here says about how "losing your v card won't fix your inner issues" or any other of that hippy bullshit. There's only so much meditation and reflection can do to help you get over your confidence issues related to being a virgin. At some point, you just gotta ditch that v card and hope she's not a psycho.

I'm all for discussion on this, especially such a touchy topic. I'd argue groupthink would tell you not to ever sleep with a girl that has a boyfriend though. In the largely feminized culture we currently live in, the vast majority of people would disagree with me and say you should never become involved with a girl in a relationship. Really, it's got to come down to your personal moral standards. For me, that means drawing the like at girls in a relationship with someone I know. I'll also add a…

It's a personal decision. From my experience, if the girl is into you, she won't mention the boyfriend. If she does, it's usually only after you've already gotten down to business. The way I see it, if I don't know the guy and she's willing to cheat, she'll probably end up doing it with someone else. Why hold yourself to some arbitrary moral standard when you know damn well other guys aren't? Highly disagree with the "pussy on the pedestal" comment. That term means you value the girl over yourse…

That's a hard decision man. Really depends on what your long term goals are. If internships in your field are paid well, it could afford you to get your own place and provide you funds to travel to the countries you've considered studying abroad in anyway. If you really want to move to another country some day though, the study abroad would be really good to get a true feeling of the culture. I was faced with the same decision in undergrad, and I chose the internship. I don't regret it for a sec…

No person owns another human being. It's not stealing. If she's unhappy, it's the boyfriend's fault, not yours. I really don't believe it should even be a consideration whether she has a boyfriend or not from your point of view. Only time I wouldn't do this is if you're friends with the boyfriend. Bros before hoes as they say.

Wow, I feel this post. Almost came from the exact same situation as you. Got into pickup, got good, thought I'd never settle down, then BOOM. I met her. 3.5 amazing years later and the spark "died". One piece of advice I can tell you right now: no contact is absolutely essential. I continued to have sex with her and clinged on to the hope we would some day end up together again for months. All it did was prolong the process and make me hurt more. Allow yourself to be sad right now. Seriously, in…

I'm sure it varies from girl to girl. It's like a girl asking if tits or ass are more important. I'd say your definitely better off with an attractive face though. You can change your body; can't really change your face. If you have an attractive face, why not have both?

Yeah, that's not a bad idea. I've been working at music production for the past 5 months, but other than an occasional collaboration, that's more of a solo skill that doesn't help me meet new people.

I always thought about giving that a try. Have you made any real connections with people in those groups? As far as the coworker thing goes, I'm a computer programmer so the people I work with don't tend to get out much. I've tried getting some to do stuff, but they're the type that go straight home from work and play video games until bed, unfortunately.

Don't hold your breath on it. You may have been able to salvage something if you didn't go the whole route of asking her why she wanted to cut things off, asking her for permission to delete her, and then deleting her. That act may have been the nail in the coffin. A better response would have been to act cool about it. A simple "Okay, hmu if you change your mind" probably would have been the appropriate response. Regardless, once she's sent this, there's nothing you can really do to change her …

Read "How to Win Friends and Influence People." That book changed my life. I always had friends in undergrad, but I found it hard to really get close to people because I was the kind of guy to always sit and brag about my accomplishments as the listener grew bored and wondered when it was their time to speak. TL;DR of the book: Be interested, not interesting. People love talking about themselves so give them a platform to do it. ANYTHING is a conversation starter; seriously. Also, know that soci…

For me, the biggest thing I would change for the initial stage is not focusing so much on what to say, how to dress, etc. and instead focus on inner game. Inner game is what made the biggest difference to me. I have a much bigger mistake I made once I started getting good though (get your notebooks out, this goes in the "avoid" category). Don't wife up the first girl you're really in to that is attracted to you. Realize there are always going to be better options as you progress, so don't settle…

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that once you start getting those girls, you will feel good about yourself. But the question is: how are you going to get those girls in the first place? Sure as hell isn't going to come from sitting there paralyzed with anxiety every time you see a girl you deem fit for you. Nerd talk incoming: Have you ever taken a chemistry course before and discussed activation energy for a chemical reaction? I see pickup like that. It requires a tremendous amo…

I feel this thread so hard. A few years ago, I was a chubby college freshman with a horrible sense of fashion that just recently got into the pickup community and I fucking killed it, consistently hooking up with girls that I deep down felt I had no business being with (objectively, I was probably a 5 and all of these girls were 7+). Got into a relationship with one of them, which took me out of the game for awhile. During that 3.5 year relationship, I got big into fashion and started bodybuildi…

It's really the same thing as anything else. Lead and have a good time. I find one of the best ways to open up a girl to dancing with you is grabbing her hand and giving her a quick twirl. If she lets you, it's game on. If not, you wasted 5 seconds.

1) Drop the negative self talk. 2) Sleep with a girl that might be a tad bit below your standards. I was exactly like you at 16. Don't know your history, but I had literally never even kissed a girl at 16. Got involved with a girl that I thought was ugly. Got my first kiss from her and 2 weeks later lost my virginity to her. I cringe at the thought now, but oh boy did it do wonders for my self - confidence. For me, it was almost a ramp - up so - to - speak. I started with an ugly girl and gradua…

Take this time to learn some new skills. Not sure what your studies are focused in, but anything that can be marketable or beneficial to your future career (coding, stock trading, new language, etc.) are great because you will find them fulfilling, and they will help to make you a more interesting person with a broader breadth of knowledge for picking topics to engage people in conversation with. David DeAngelo has a pretty good viewpoint on your situation. Summarized, girls will have a tendency to engage in a long term relationship with a guy they are just hooking up with, but they do not always have the tendency to hook up with a guy they see as long term relationship material. Basically, it's better to work on escalating sexually before showing them how awesome you are at being a boyfriend/husband. The boyfriend/husband stuff comes later. Check out "Double Your Dating" by David DeAnge…

Yeah, I definitely spent the first month or two just trying to reconnect with people I had let fall to the wayside while I was getting so wrapped up in the whole monogamy thing. It was one of the best choices I've ever made. I just felt like I would be over this whole guilt feeling by now, but maybe it will require more time. Thanks for the response man.
