Met husband at 20. Engaged at 21. Married at 22. He's 8 years older than me.

The current divorce laws are way too draconian and abusive. Not to mention divorce is an INDUSTRY. It makes lots of people rich. The government makes a cut off of everything! Child support payments? The goverment takes a cut. Alimony? The goverment takes a cut. Let's not forget about the lawyers. They'll be taking a huge cut too. The government is financially incentivized to break apart your family because it makes them LOTS of money. I am a married woman to a high income earner. I've been a sta…

Now that women are out earning men in quite a few fields, we're actually seeing a big rise in WOMEN who do not want to marry because of the exact reason you cited. When the woman earns more money, it is actually the man who stands to financially benefit in the event of a divorce. I personally know a woman is a very high income earner and was the main breadwinner of her family. Her husband is currently divorcing her, and because she was the breadwinner, she is the one who has to pay alimony and c…

Is this man your husband? It sounds like he isn't according to your post. Stop playing wifey for a man who hasn't made you his wife. Also there is nothing traditional about being a working woman and splitting the bills. You cannot be a working woman and also a traditional wife. Choose one. And if you aren't comfortable with deferring to his authority as a provider male, either 1) you are not a traditional woman, or 2) you've selected a male you do not feel safe with.

I read this post. I also went to your profile and read the other posts you made regarding this relationship. I'm going to be honest with you and I dont mean to offend you or be cruel when I say this. It's very obvious to me when reading your posts, that you are FAR more invested into the relationship than he is. If you want this relationship to succeed, you need to accept that you will need to be the one putting more effort and investment into the relationship. That's not to say he doesn't care …

Definitely, I've seen that as well. I think some younger women are starting to wake up and realize modern feminism isn't all it's made out to be. I hope the trend continues! That being said, that type of content is still the minority. For every RP/traditional account you'll find on social media, there are 50x more accounts with 10000x more followers pushing feminism. Just look at the most followed female celebs (Ariana grande, Kardashians, Selena gomez, etc etc), they all push modern feminism. C…

First off, I disagree that red pilled ideas are on the rise. Only in smaller, niche online communities do I see RP ideas pushed. When you spend all your time looking at these communities, it's easy to convince yourself everyone else also thinks this way. But when I go on any mainstream social media, feminism is BY FAR AND AWAY the dominant ideal being pushed. Look at Reddit, other subreddits will literally ban you if you're found participating on RPW. I was raised in a small, conservative town. …

100% agree with this. If a man has been dating you for over 2 years and there has been 0 discussion of getting engaged/married, this is a big red flag. 4 years is WAY too long IMO. He has learned over the past 4 years that he doesn't need to marry you and you won't leave. You're 26. You're in your prime, and these are the most valuable years in terms of your dating potential. You've already invested 4+ years of your prime with this man, and he's given you 0 commitment in return. It's up to you t…

I'm 28 now, and the quality of men pursuing me has dramatically risen. I am a semi-famous artist, like you'd have heard of me if you were dialed into it. Tall, wealthy, handsome males who have pursued me could have easily nabbed someone younger, but they didn't. I have a great career, am kind, am very giving. Most men say they would feel lucky to be with me. I'm kind, etc. I'm not selfish or self-motivated. I also had a Dakota Johnson-level glow up with beauty, like I look better now than I did …

He is however, a poor man, and I am very well off. He is 15 years older than me, which I worry is taboo, yet it also feels right. There is nothing wrong with an age gap at all. However, generally women choose to marry older men because these men are well established in life and easily have the means of providing for a family. I saw from your profile that you are 23, meaning this man is 38. He is an almost 40 year old man, and he doesn't have a career in order yet? And you are in the early stages…

Men care if a woman has common sense and she's not an idiot, absolutely. Do you need a career or an amazing degree to have common sense and be a well spoken, intelligent woman? Absolutely NOT. Pick up a book, go to the library, and study things that interest you, educate yourself. You don't need to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars on degrees for a piece of paper that tells you you're "smart". You do not need a career or degree to prove that you are a level headed, responsible woman. Fertilit…

Men don't care about your success/degrees/career as a woman, so your success will generally be irrelevant. Men are attracted to a woman's fertility more than anything else, which is why they go for younger women. If you're in your early 20s, you have oodles of your fertility left. Use that to your advantage. Show the men you date that you're a giving and compassionate woman, that you'd make a good mother, that you're a good home maker, that you have core values and principals (whatever those may…

Not sure about the "elites"... but property sales all around the US in rural areas have been skyrocketing lately. I live in CO and rural homes here have seen a HUGE boom in sales in the last 6 months (which is interesting when you consider the massive recession Covid has put us in, millions losing their jobs, etc). A lot of people who can afford it are fleeing the cities, especially large cities like LA/NY/SF. People see the tension going on in, they see the riots, they see how respectful dialog…

That's truly amazing you have such great parents. I think you are assuming that I am saying you must pick between your parents or your husband. I'm not saying that at all. You can continue to honor, love, and respect your parents. But as your life partner, your husband should know he has your respect first and foremost. If your husband was constantly consulting his parents and valued his parents input more than yours, your feelings would be hurt and you would feel as if your thoughts/opinions we…

I never said to cut your family off, or to stop valuing them. I love my parents. I remain very close to my family and speak to them on an almost daily basis. My relationship with my family has remained relatively unchanged, I've just made a few small changes in my behavior. Now I make sure my relationship with my parents does not disrespect and/or undermine my husband. I make sure my husband knows he has my respect before anyone else. And my husband is my family just as much as my parents are.

100%. :) I'm the epitome of a mommy's/daddy's girl, and we've always been super close. I married my husband very young (age 20), so I went from living under my parents roof, to directly living under my husband's roof. I immediately went from their care, to his care. I had to metaphorically cut the umbilical cord and realize my parents are no longer my captain, my husband is the captain, and he will be for the remainder of my life. I will always respect my parents, but I should give my captain th…
