And their interests aren't even interesting 😖 I know so many women who make things, art, makeup, fashion, poetry, writing, cooking, gardening, etc. But its so hard to find men with a hobby that isn't just consuming. Like they think having opinions on video games is a personality.

Shes def a pickme but it kinda sounds like a camgirl lying about her age and using a babyvoice to make $$$. They do that on games pretty often. She might be grifting him

How is Delilah being predatory? Everything was openly doscussed, she's been clear with her intentions the whole time. Accusing lesbians of being predatory has a long history in homophobia.

Me :) I've just been focusing on re-discovering myself without the mask, learning how to cope better with daily life, and loving my little idiosyncracies. I wouldn't want to mask at all on a date tbh. I want someone who will adore all my weird quirks, think my obsessions are cute, doesn't mind me being quiet, and is happy to help me in stressful situations like ordering food and grocery shopping. I want someone to fall in love with the real me. But I gotta figure out who she is first.

Yyeess. I took a year long break from dating and all my weird middle school interests have come back in full force. And this time I'm not ashamed of them. Kid me had good taste.

God yes. I used to be a medical receptionist at fertility clinic where people often came as couples for consults, and men can't even fill out a simple consent form on their own. Their partners almost always did it for them; if they were alone, you know they weren't going to read the whole thing and skip something important and I had to call them back up to finish. Like girl do you really wanna have a kid with someone who can't put their initials and phone number on a paper without help?

The fact that men can get jobs as art directors without growing out of the "ideas guy" mindset that most people lose real quick in an actual industry says a lot about how they're allowed to skate by, tbh

It sounds an awful lot like your blaming yourself for the behavior of shitty men, which is something I thought the book might help with, but okay lol.

Feminine energy isn't "soft, nurturing". Feminine energy is bringing life into the world in a storm of blood and pain and screaming. It's killing anyone who wants to hurt your children. It's the forest fire that clears the old and dead for new growth. It's preparing dead bodies for the funeral pyre. It's being a conduit for the life/death cycle. Nurturing new life is only a tiny part of a much larger picture and it keeps women trapped in a small part of their life cycle and true power, makes us …

He left out the part where "love me as i am" in reality usually means "i dont clean my house, shower regularly, have empathy, wont put effort into getting to know you, wont put energy into the relationship at all, have no prospects or passions, but expect unconditional love from a beautiful woman who will do all the emotional labor and take care of me who i can bang whenever i want without doing anything in return. Imo people underestimate how internally stressful de-centering men from your life can be. There's so much bullshit that's ingrained in our brains about what relationships "should" look like, your worth in relation to attraction to men and use to them. Unpacking all that is a kinda long and emotional process but totally worth it :)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/20 08:34 PM

I get that, I struggled with the same thing for awhile and after stressing a long time over whether or not I was attracted to men, I didn't want to be with one, so I decided it didn't matter and I stopped worrying about it and focused on women. That's more the angle I was going for

Also, I know sometimes you want to give yourself a label because that can be a little easier, but friendly reminder that whether or not you're a lesbian or bi or whatever you can just...not date men. Not wanting to date them is a good enough reason, you don't have to justify anything to the world. "I just don't want to" is enough

Also I think compulsive heterosexuality affects women more. Men get pretty obvious signals if they're turned on or not. Women are already socialized to be disconnected from their own pleasure, plus men being shit at sex, that not getting sexual pleasure is normalized for us. Also women are trained to value themselves in relation to men, so taking them out of your life as a factor can be a really difficult and confusing thing to go through.

Sorry if my post came off as agressive, it wasn't my intent at all to judge you or doubt your intentions. I just feel like men have a tendency to take advantage of us when we're in those types of situations, and women, being maybe the kinder sex and having a more hopeful outlook on the world, don't fully understand when someone is taking advantage of our vulnerabilities for the sake of, well, getting a nut. But I come from a sex work background so I might be particularly jaded from being a psych…

Ehh...if he does that kind of stuff, just leave and block. Why are you letting him cook dinner at his place? Why are you accepting house dates where you just watch TV and pet his dog? Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Men really don't care as much as some women think they do. If they think they're gonna smash, they'll do whatever, and not care how you react. The only way to win is to move on. No amount of game playing is gonna win him over or prove a point. Just move on to the next one. Ther…

I was kinda teetering on the edge for the awhile, but my "last straw" in regards to going full FDS was sleeping with a guy who, physically, was ideal. I kinda played half-FDS and tried to be all ~cool and casual~ but was lying to myself. Long story short, smallest dick and most dissappointing sex of my life. Not at all worth the mental games I was trying to play. But I now just honest to god will not setttle for anyone who's not 100% into me from day one. It's really minor compared to my hardcor…

I don't think you need to copy anyone, I think the charisma comes from knowing yourself and not trying to be someone you're not. But as for models/examples, I really like soft-spoken/quirky girls. Some of mine are Luna Lovegood/Evanna Lynch, Lisa Bonet, and Mia Farrow.

That's a very difficult question to answer, but I think self-sabotage comes from a place of not feeling good enough, or self hate. To me, it often means tolerating something that "feels wrong". So like...pretend I don't like cheese. I've never liked it. Everyone else seems to, but I'm just not into it. It makes me feel sick, it tastes gross. But everyone else eats it, and they make fun of me for not eating it, and I want to fit in, so I eat it too, even if it makes me feel bad. Me eating cheese …

I'm gonna tell you something that might be a bit controversial, but it's a pattern that I've noticed in myself and other women. I was "officially" diagnosed with BPD at 18 (by a male doctor) after several years of struggling with suicidal depression and an eating disorder. In and out of psychiatric hospitals, also came from an abusive and traumatic background. Something I've learned in my own self-guided recovery is that, I truly think BPD is just a modern version of female hysteria. I was diagn…

Your work is beautiful, it will always be there for you when you need it. Also I hardcore feel the thing about not dating other artists. Male artists are so full of themselves and insufferable and think they're changing the world by painting titties. And they'll always be comparing themselves to you. I'm also an artist and can't stand being around them. The only thing worse is male "writers".

I didn't interpret it as self-awareness, more of a vague misery that they don't understand and don't know where it's coming from and try to blame women for how they feel without realizing that's part of the problem

Aw thank you. It honestly just came from fucking up and being constantly dissappointed and just getting tired of my own shit. I have a bit of an unconventional lifestyle and set of interests, but broadly speaking I've just been following my own genuine interests and what I'm curious about. Whenever I'm about to make a decision I try to ask myself "what would the person I want to be do?". And I think that looks wildly different for everyone. For me it's trying to be the wild nomadic fairy person …

I started asking myself what kind of life would I want if I never found someone. And then started doing the work to build that life. If someone comes along and fits into my plan, great. If not, oh well. I started doing this about 7 months into a year long intentional break from dating. I'm currently on month 11 and I genuinely am not willing to give up that future life for a man anymore. I'm currently working on building deeper platonic relationships and being fully present when interacting with…

Some early early, like first date signs, could be things like -not asking you questions -talking a lot -not listening or responding when you do talk. Jump to a new topic or story instead of going off what you said -being really picky about food/service/etc, seeing workers as service machines who should function correctly instead of as humans -always putting down whoever theyre talking about. Doesnt have anything nice to say about other people. Thinks everyone is stupid except them. Not strictly …

I'd just like to add, about your friend, teen girls sometimes do things they don't really want to. She may feel violated and humiliated by what happened, but felt pressured into the situation and didn't know how to set her own boundaries. Theres lots of things I did as a naive young girl because I wanted to feel loved and didn't know how to say no, things that I would never do now because I respect and protect myself. If your friendship is great now I don't think you should end it. Edit: after r…

Bad bitches block. They have better things to do than write long messages to LVM. Don't waste the energy on this kind of stuff. It's not about trying to convince him youre high value. Its watching if he treats you like you are. And cutting him off the minute he slips.

Sex workers and liberal feminists are definitely still our sisters. FDS thought is very rare and you can't blame people for what they don't know. I've been a sex worker and had to learn a lot of things FDS talks about the hard and traumatizing way. I was just never exposed to this perspective. Not to mention things like how childhood sexual abuse often leads to promiscuity, how society trains women to view their bodies as a commodity, how there's very real and concrete advantages to weaponizing …

Boyfriend or no, it sounds like you really need to focus on becoming independent and getting out of your parents place. I know anxiety and CTPSD are terrifying and awful and make everything a million times harder, but as someone who was in a similar situation, things did not get better until I left and lived on my own, with roommates, not a boyfriend. It's a very long and difficult journey but you learn so so so much about who you are, what you're capable of, and what you want out of life. You c…

This is the beginning of controlling, abusive behavior. He doesn't give two fucks about how she feels, the work she puts into things, or her friendships. He's a selfish, entitled piece of shit who only cares about eating cookies and is deliberately testing her limits. This is only going to get worse.

Just to maybe help explain, the new agey concepts of feminine/masculine energy are more just metaphor, and often used in a self-help context. Like say, someone wants to complete a project they've been procrastinating on, they might mentally summon their "masculine" energy to get the stuff done. Obviously men aren't the only ones who get shit done, but it's meant as a mental tool and not to be taken literally. Some people find it helpful and fun to frame things in a spiritua/magical way like this…

I love how the bottom right goes out of his way to call it "Jung typology" instead of MBTI to sound smart but then doesn't understand the basics of how it works. You can't have letters like (E/I) because it's based on the order of cognitive functions. INFP, ENFP, INTP, and ENTP all have completely different function stacks and you can't be all four at once lmao
