Whenever I see such drastic weight loss like this, that seems to happen so quickly, I worry. I hope she’s happy and healthy.

If he visits you on the weekend then you can just do things during the day. It sucks that he has to travel into town, but that’s the bed the pair of you made. Having him come to your place is asking for trouble - especially 5th date. It’s good that he sees it heading towards commitment, keep up the good work! :)

Split it down the middle. ‘We need to get our next date in the diary’ is an easy way to make him take the lead, without him having to second guess that you want a second date. But he needs to be texting you FIRST and acr more interested before you do this, otherwise it’s going to signal to him that him sending your blunt texts is the way to keep you on the hook.

Start by not using the R word. It’s gross. Other than that, it’s fine. You were late, so you made up for it by paying - it’s not the end of the world. But next time make concrete plans, and don’t go past dinner. Don’t have him end up at your place until commitment. Also, how does someone ‘kind of’ ask you to be exclusive?

They lie because they know that anyone similar to their height will swipe left on them (or equivalent) and they think they know more about us and our standards than we do. So, they lie that they’re taller to get into our feed, and think they can win us over with their charming personality.

I’m part of a private gym and in addition to the weight training and yoga I do there, we have tournaments and compete in things like Tough Mudder. We also have regular meet ups and nights out and have built a good friendship circle there. My job also means I travel a lot, so whenever I’m in a new destination I try and find something interesting or quintessential to the culture to do: visiting historical places, climbing mountains etc Next year I’m planning on getting my Private Pilots License (P…

I personally don’t like his language (faggot is derogatory, but hey it’s your date not mine). At least he’s being open and honest with you about how he feels. Personally, I think it’s worth sleeping on it. P.S. nothing makes you lesser than him, you’re the prize.

Girl, he just accused you of being on drugs. He told you not to drink. He complained about you being lovey dovey. You said you don’t trust him. You said he was trying to guilt trip you for not being physical. Please, wake up.

Well, I can relate to you on the Chronic Fatigue front. It’s horrendous, and sympathise greatly. It’s a big step for sure - do you have an Etsy shop? If so, I’d love to check it out. If not, it can be a good place to start as you can make as you go with orders, or if you get a couple orders you can buy in bulk! Also you can stipulate shipping etc so you can work at your own pace if you say it takes a few weeks etc. That’s fair enough regarding not being stable enough re homestead. I don’t know t…

No, it’s not bad. Collect yourself - stop worrying about him, his replies, his feelings, his thoughts. Put yourself first. YOU are the prize in this.

Date a guy who continues to pursue you. He gave you up overnight, as you said. Drop it - he’ll probably come back to you when he realises his manipulation hasn’t worked. Just don’t reply for a few days and see what happens

I’m so sorry that your disability means you can’t do those things, and I understand why that would make you feel low value - but I just need to reassure you that you are not. You are not low value. Can I ask, when you feel attracted to those men, do you match with them? Or because you feel like a burden you don’t? I only ask because even though you may see it that way, there’s a lot of people out there who wouldn’t. I don’t know your disability so what your limitations are - but how about art? S…

No, I wouldn’t either, to me that sounds like he would be co-dependent, relying on you to be his ‘joy’ and all that crap. They mean it as a compliment for you to be all ‘who? Me?!’ No. He needs to take control of his own life, it’s not your job to be his happiness. I think it seems fair that he wanted to know the direction of your relationship, but it’s also fair for you to not know after 5 dates. I ended it with a guy because he didn’t want to become more serious, and I didn’t want to be FWB, s…

Let me tell you now, missy, you are NOT low value or medium value because of a disability. I WILL NOT HAVE IT. You said yourself you are good looking, well dressed, you’re probably kind, generous, nurturing, you’re a mum, you have life experience, you have standards. You are a high value woman if you’ve got goals and work towards them, that you’re willing to say no to bullshit, that you are here. Your disability does not define your value!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Did you express to him that you wouldn’t be sleeping with him unless there was commitment? I can’t pretend to know his reasoning - it could be because he decided he didn’t want someone who was unsure at this point. It could be because he’s desperate for a relationship. It could be because of anything. Regardless, he thought he knew and you didn’t, you’re incompatible on those fronts. He may even have been using it to manipulate you - maybe he thought if he hit the road you’d be like ‘no I’ve cha…

Is it not a red flag that you thought he only wanted a relationship for sex, though? That’s concerning. Why does he want to be in a relationship after only 5 dates?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/11/19 03:46 PM

I don’t like to break the rule of excessive male sympathising, but all I’ll say is if someone I had been on 5 dates with told me they ‘sometimes’ like spending time with me I would cut them off. However, I’m not a man, and men can react differently to these sorts of statements. Were you using it to try and make him chase you?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/11/19 03:44 PM

Still doesn’t sound compatible, though. You wanted more time to decide, and he was sure of what he wanted and clearly he wasn’t willing to give you more time. You could ask him for clarification on why he’s ended it, why he was reluctant to continue dating casually for the time being. But he wasn’t willing to give you the time you needed.

I wouldn’t want to date someone unsure of me either. You had worries, he’s ended it, so drop it and move on.

I honestly just can’t imagine being out for dinner with an SO, and then their brother or sister & their partner, and answering the phone and then being away for 30 mins. Regardless of dating strategy it’s just sooooo rude

I’m honestly really confused as to why he picked up the phone at dinner, on a date, anyway. Unless it’s a family member I can’t understand it. I also question why he needs you to spell out to him what the problem is (read: he doesn’t - he’s making you do the work).

That’s absolutely fine. But you were initially shaming OP for her dating refugees, in that case. It’s not one rule for some and not for others. Enjoy your day

It’s not shaming for standards or an opinion, it’s downright prejudice. It’s too far. Take yourself out of the context of this sub - it’s too far.

Disgusting opinion. Edit: yes, it’s great to date men with assets, and not look for ‘potential’, but your comment is seriously problematic and if you can’t see that through the tinted glasses of dating strategy then you need to reassess your other opinions. Someone isn’t of low-value purely because they’re a refugee - and she made no comment of what he’d done with himself since becoming a refugee. Many refugees are doctors, academics, scientists etc and are not of low value - especially when the…

You just described a guy who doesn’t know what ‘no’ means and are now potentially putting yourself in a situation where you could end up alone with him. Please don’t talk to this guy again! P.S. I understand that a lot of people have children after a certain point, and it’s great if you’re truly considering dating people with kids because you want to, but don’t change your boundaries if it’s out only of fear of not being able to find someone. We individually choose our boundaries and standards f…

What’s the point in that? Then you’re just lowering yourself and playing with them. There’s no point in exerting extra energy on someone who clearly doesn’t value you.

This is the thing. We may not all agree with 100% of it - but it’s a space when we can talk openly with each other. We don’t condone anything like violence, manipulation, we don’t call men ‘plates’, we don’t act as though they’re second class citizens, we don’t have this sub to try and see how many men we can sleep with at once; and yet we’re the ones who have to have our space consistently invaded and criticised. It’s so disheartening.

Gotcha. Well, I don’t know the right answer to this really. Unless you can hold it in until he leaves on Sunday? As others suggested, you could totally do it on FT or Skype, but it feels impersonal really, but it may be the best way forward to prevent him from having to make the journey.

Is there any chance you could go to see him instead? That way he’s in his own space, and doesn’t have a 2 hour round trip just to be broken up with. As for how to do it, just be honest. You’re on a different page and you don’t want to lead him on.

If someone has ‘open-minded’ in their bio, I swipe left. It without-fail means that they themselves are the opposite of open-minded, and hold shitty views or values that they want you to get over, and are making it your problem by saying that you’re not open-minded if you don’t agree with them. Next.
