If it isn’t obvious already, she clearly has no idea what she is talking about. Wow.

This hurts my heart to read. I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve experienced such blatant discrimination just for being a good man and father.

And of course it most certainly cannot be because many of these women are ushered in to college and historically difficult degree programs through positive discrimination... that would be blasphemous.

It's a convoluted and confusing situation, but there have been (unsuccessful) attempts. After having it so much, I think I do understand the message it's sending me. It's just interesting that this message came from my disheveled childhood home.

CPS in the states is a joke. I've never personally experienced forged meetings/interviews, but I did experience their neglectful practice; my sister and I turned my mother in to CPS on multiple - I shit you not - accounts for abuse and neglect and she still ended up getting custody of my siblings and raked in the child support (which was most certainly not used on the children).

Justice is dead in the family court and it died a long time ago.

I just recently learned of this sub, and I swore it was the worst kind of satire at first. I wish I were wrong; it’s absolutely cringeworthy.

Alimony is an absolutely archaic concept and is in many cases nothing more than extorting an ex simply because someone feels entitled to do so.

This is monstrous. And on a more personal note, it’s disturbing to see that CPS is as much a crock of shit as I’ve always thought.

Not married, but I’ve been where you are in a relationship, and it is absolutely not fun. It’s quite draining and sometimes absolutely demoralizing, if I’m to be perfectly honest. The terrain is surprisingly difficult to navigate, and you get to a point when you hit the proverbial wall and just decide to internalize your feelings, minimize them, or ignore what’s happening altogether, which also really doesn’t do any good for your mental health. You almost feel as though the thoughts you have ARE…

This is very well written. And another example of the use of statistical evidence in the argument that feminism is what it is today rather than “feeling.” I absolutely love it and agree with what’s been said here. Unfortunate, though, that this is still painfully relevant six years later.

I personally feel that at this point in time, the collective level of hope for improvement is negligible in the modern day western world. I don’t think it’s impossible that there can be a spike and sustained growth of hope for change, though; I still believe that change is possible. I think some of that lies in the responsibility of women (and men alike) to support and listen to not only the men we care about, but any and all of those that have something to say on the matter. So many people toda…

So I didn’t get a chance to read the original post before it was removed, but my own personal feelings about “safe spaces” aside, what in the Sam hell makes this any different from any other? I recognize that feminist banshees aim to bring fire and brimstone to those who show the slightest bit of opposition to any facet of their “movement,” but in theory... can someone explain to me how, from a neutral point of view, this would be any different than a group of minorities, or a group of LGBT peop…

I’ve been to MGTOW. This was more of a rhetorical, theoretical question. I understand that bad people do bad things to get “revenge” on those they want to destroy, but I’m speaking more towards the deep seeded, moral compass of every human being. Why? What is to gain from that sort of thing?

There are already plenty of good, thoughtful comments in that post left by people who have sincerely tried to offer their best advice. As many have already said, he should apologize to the guy he assaulted, explain the situation to him, and press charges against the woman.

It’s interesting that the vast majority of those petitioning for divorce mentioned in this article are the women; and that the majority of them are citing “unreasonable behavior” as the cause (I’m not sure what constitutes “unreasonable behavior,” though). I feel sort of like a broken record, but I honestly feel that third-wave feminism is a huge contributor to these statistical analyses. Not that we know the actual details of individual causes for these divorces per the contents of article (unl…

Ah, thank you for the info. The story is undoubtedly more screwed up than I originally thought. I do hope legal action is taken against that woman.

I don’t know what the rest of the post says, but I can imagine that if any legal action is taken, and the female teacher is called out, media and press will present the story as “teacher has sex with underage student;” not “teacher rapes student.” I will never understand why the idea of rape being solely based upon the ability to penetrate (i.e. penetration with a penis) is so commonplace. This makes me so angry. Rape is rape. Just because you have a vagina doesn’t mean you cannot be the perpetr…

It’s interesting that when a woman is the perpetrator, media and social platforms portray the situation as “woman has sex with teen,” or “female teacher has a romp with male students,” or whatever other bullshit they can devise. When a male is the perpetrator, the story is always run as “man rapes underage girl,” or something to that effect. Rape is rape. Interesting that the same actions are perceived differently depending on what’s between your legs.

Feminism is poison, and the foundation of what this third-wave movement has been built on is the exact opposite of “wanting equality.” It’s obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together that there is no disparity between rights of men and women; feminists are just pushing their agenda of obtaining MORE under the guise of equality, and destroying anyone who dares get in their way.

It seems like the feminist ideology has been a catalyst for perpetuating the capacity in which the day is celebrated, though; I’d argue that it’s the driving force for the “culturally PC” guise.

It’s quite amazing that this is the world we live in now. He was nearly murdered after being honest with his girlfriend, and she received a suspended sentence and loss of full custody... And the coke that was mentioned in the article wasn’t even a contributor to her slap on the wrist. Her having that shit around her kids should have been another reason for her to have her children taken. This is a perfect example, albeit obviously extreme, of why so many men constantly censor themselves and end …

Sorry - you first mention stay at home partners, and then stay at home parents; are you discussing the former or latter? I’m not attempting to belittle the role stay at home parents (or partners, for that matter) have in a relationship; especially if it’s a mutual agreement and the time is valuable and spent well. I would be happy to further elaborate on my comment if you’d like.

It’s unfortunate that those women and the idea of marriage in that regard, in turn, end up shitting all over the sensible and genuinely good women that do, as you say, take the “sucker’s path” and work for a living.

I sincerely hope that doesn’t end up happening - especially considering the same type of posts have been allowed to stay in the case of male on female rape. I think it’s great, too, that they’re being open about it; if I’ve had the opportunity to share my story as a female, then it’s only right these men have the same opportunity.

Definitely. I’m subscribed to that subreddit, too, and have seen quite a bit of this same scenario - woman being main perpetrator of violence and abuse. I’m optimistic for the progress of this awareness, for sure.

I get what you mean, and it’s honestly quite sad that’s nearly always the initial assumption, in my opinion. My dad certainly had his moments of being way too rough with little kids, but my mom was vicious. I know, too, that there are definitely worse cases than my own, but I feel like the awareness of grossly abusive women needs to drastically increase.

My mom did nearly the exact same thing (minus the knives, though... holy shit), and it was always when she was obscenely drunk... which was nearly constantly. She was fine beating up on and spitting venom at the kids, too, because we didn’t hit back or say anything in response.

Well, I can speak from personal experience. I know this is only anecdotal, but my father was denied custody of myself and my siblings during my parents’ divorce due to being discriminated against in family court - by both my mother and her lawyer, as well as the judge. This is a great publication you can read that discusses the disparity of men and women in these situations: https://scholarship.law.stjohns.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1522&context=lawreview

I personally think that one of the first things that would need to be considered to open such dialogue would be to understand exactly what a feminist means (generally speaking, I guess, and with the caveat that it’s said by the “average” modern day feminist) when they use the term “toxic masculinity.” By textbook definition, it could ideally be a platform on which both movements share a common ideology, which would be super interesting and helpful in potentially trying to understand the other si…

Eh, it sounded like she felt entitled to additional alimony based on her ex husband’s income, though, regardless of her own earning potential. That, to me, seems like gold digging, even in the loosest meaning of the term, wouldn’t you think?

Infidelity is an awful thing to experience, but seriously fuck gold diggers. My GOD it’s these people that rot the rest of the barrel of girlfriends and wives out there. It’s about madafahkin’ time there’s some semblance of a light at the end of the tunnel. Fingers crossed this precedent is one we see increase exponentially in the near future.

I don’t feel like reading all the comments, so someone may have said this already... or it may be an unpopular opinion... but whatever. Honestly, I agree with this dude; especially considering what the vast majority of the “guilty” men have been convicted of. Chances are, most of them were probably locked up or what the fuck ever over a woman’s ass being grabbed, or explicit language being used in relation to her appearance or something. Not to say there is also probably a number of them that di…

What the actual fuck. In another reality where a human being who happens to be male dared to defend himself or even lifted his arms to protect his face, I’m sure he’d be bludgeoned by slander from the crowd for “posturing” towards a female or perhaps tackled by the white knight fuckers in the bunch. I really don’t even have the words to describe the level of insane this woman is.

Frankly, I believe choices like this should have been given to men a long time ago. Like others have said, men have no reproductive rights, and are more or less forced into fatherhood when they neither want nor are sufficiently prepared (financially, emotionally, etc.) to be. The same can be said for the inverse, as well; when a man wants to be a father and is sufficiently prepared for the child, he is - more often than not - not even given the opportunity to weigh in on the decision to terminat…
